So ya...I've not been in a very art-y mood. Been more into writing as of late...what I am writing I may want to have published at some point so its pretty draining. I worry a lot that people may not like it...that every idea you can possibly think of has been done at least once - so instead of trying to be SUPER-DUPER original now I have decided to incorporate a bit of everything I know into it and HOPE for the best. I am going to post the prologue here and then my write some side stories as practices and I would enjoy some feedback.

I will still be drawing as I cannot stop that - but enjoy some writing too!

HA! Bet you thought this journal would be interesting because of the title eh...but guess what its not! Just wanted to get rid of my blathering other journal where I had to rant and get some steam out ...

I'm not up to too much....working on my Story...its coming along okay...I have a prologue done and am up to CH 7. Only two of you have had the privilege of reading/combing it over and getting back with me on it...you guys have no idea HOW much I thank you for it I know putting up with my constant rewrites and edits could NOT have been fun -

Other then that I haven't done too much artwork as you all can see- what I have been uploading has been craptatsic to say the least, what with my last two pieces being failed Twilight fan art ... dear god! I've picked up The Host however and it seems very likable, (we shall see)

Also working on a vampire (Anne Rice-ish) based, board...should be interesting. Getting to play with a few new ideas. and I are working very hard on it

Okay this is just a general rant that I know I shouldn't get into but I am going to anyway.

Why is that no matter how unknown, how well known, how cute, how ugly, how smart, how silly, how good looking or normal a person is it just takes a little something...something completely asinine in which to send the whole of the female world picking on them??

I mean seriously now, are us females really that PETTY? I know this is completely off the subject of art, but there seems to be a lot of certain celebrity bashing and I can only stand by idly for so long - even though he will never know people defend him - I felt the need to say lay off already.

Honestly - people. Actors are defined by who they are and NOT who they play. They are defined as people, not shiny sparkling objects that are here for our amusement. I mean yes its their job, but its JUST a JOB - when they are done at the end of the day I am sure they want to be people too.

Okay I am sure some of you know whom this particular rant is about - I just feel us nerdy odd balls need to stick together -

Headaches...late nights..and vampires

Hmm...so when you take on the tedious and also fun loving idea of your going to take all your ideas rolling around your head and try to put it on paper, you realize just how much pain, coffee and anti-depressants a writer _must_ be going through to get the idea correct.

I decided I was going to be writing this book/novel I have had ideas for rolling about my attic like skull for the last few months. (no thanks to Anne Rice and Stephenie Meyer and their damned additive blood sucking ideas), and one of my all time favorite writers Stephen King *Yay*

So...I sit at this computer every night and just let the words slips from my mind to paper and when I go back I realized my characters are developing in ways I didn't think they would. Not sure if I should reign them back in or let them mature like caterpillars to butterflies and hope they make momma proud?

Ah well...guess I just wanted to rant a bit...I need more sleep. Been managing a few hours here and there...I'm going to look like one of the undead soon if I don't watch it.

We went to the Pittsburgh National Avairy today. They had a lot of pretty birds, and a lot of awesome exhibits...you can see some of the better photos I took as I upload them. I think the best birds there besides out Bald Eagle friends, was the little Scarlet Head Black Bird, and the room full of Lories.

I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Ok this seems silly but I am going to update my journal weekly with my new weight. If I can get any supporters here I will be happy. Mike is doing what he can to support me and cheer me on.

Today I weigh in at 240 (hefty hefty girl) and by teh end of the year I want to be 180-170. So every tuesday I will post my new weight, I will be excersising everyday and dieting the right way.

Wow- where did time go? Isn't that the million dollar question? And what did we see this year?

A war that is still going on and gas prices that will NEVER drop. Deaths of some very beloved muscians and presidents. A few good movies a few good games.

My resolution this year is to figure out if I have Lymphoma or not. Been having problems with a glad up under my jaw that seems not to have been caused by any infections in the blood. So now I have been put on another antibiotic, and if it doesn't get any better then I have to get a biopsy and see if it is what they are suspecting. ><

Another one is too get my arse in shape! Fat fat fat I need to lose like 60 pounds to weigh what I should. So as of tomorrow, no sweets, no soda, no bad carbs...so you can imagine tonight I shall eat what I can.

See you all next year!

Wow as I sit here infront of my brain sucking PC I realize that I didn't accomplish very much this past year. Big shocker there. I didn't lose the weight I said I was going to, I didn't get the better job I said I was going to, my art well its still the same. The only thing I did good was have my second daughter Kyri.

So wow. Hopefully 2006 will be a better year. What is my new years resolution?

Lose 60 pounds. That'll put me back at 170, only 20 pounds heavier then I was before I had my first child.

Hey everyone. Just some quick updates.

As you know if you check my page often (Which I doubt anyone does), Kyri is obviously born and doing well. She is a month old tomorrow already. Gawds- time moves quickly.

I am doing well and even find some time to get some art work done. (Yes Demi before you poke me again, I am working on inking that picture).

I will be going back to work soon, October 10th. I don't want to go back to Taco bell but I will because we need extra cash.

Oh well, I will do a picture for anyone who gets page view 4,000.

Whew! Almost done. On August 24th I will be going in to have my second Daughter Kyri. I have to be at the hospital at 7:30 am, which is too early for me to be awake but I will do in order to have this baby. Cause I hurt, I am sore and I am so god blessed tired!

Anyway..wish me luck. I will be trying to get some art done before then because it may be a while before I get to draw after lil Kyri joins us. Newborns are ever so demanding. ^^

By now, you've heard that Scott Jarkoff, aka °jark, is now a FORMER Staff Member.

I'm not privy to the whys, wherefores, and whatever-the-hells are going on behind the scenes here. Don't ask me anything about that. I know probably just as much as you do.

DeviantArt, in my opinion, is becoming less about COMMUNITY and more about CORPORATION.

So what we need to do is bring back THE COMMUNITY.

Here's my suggestion.

On August 7th, DA turns five years old. Five years for a website like this should be a grand affair, one big event.

So don't submit anything on August 7th.

I'm talking a print, a deviation, a scrap...nothing.

Instead, just leave a comment. Visit a user's page and just say hi.

If someone wants to buy a subscription that day, I'm all in favor or it. It'll keep the servers going, and anything that keeps the hamster running is a good thing.

BUT...I think folks shouldn't buy any prints. No print subscriptions. That goes against the COMMUNITY theme for the day.

We want to put the COMMUNITY back into DA.

If you're in favor of this, if you believe in the power this COMMUNITY has, then join me. Post this in your own journal. Spread the word to everyone, with a and a .

We might be touting at windmills like Don Quixote.

But if enough of us do it, we might be able to remind everyone that this is a COMMUNITY first and foremost.

Now that thats said I guess I can fill you in on whats been going on in my life....Ready...here it comes....

I know I said i couldn't wait until I didn't have to go to work- but I cannot stand it now. I find myself sitting day after day infront of this thing we call a computer trying to find something to do and guess what theres nothing to do!

Been a while since I updated my journal. What can I say I have been busy * looks around and sighes* Ok so yea scratch that I am just being lazy and not wanting to think about what I can write here.

All I know is I am tired, I am sore, my rib cage hurts and I am ready to go insane. I have two more weeks at Toxic Hell before I go on maternity leave. Am probably NOT going to go back there after I have Kyri. I am going to try and get a job at Wal-Mart...yea you heard me at the Wal-Mart. Ah well there are worse places then these.

Also I have to get my ass in gear and get my room ready for new baby Kyri. Its so messy but we only have a two bed room house and I don't think its fair to Raylen to not only bring home a new baby but place that baby in a room that has been hers and hers alone for two and a half years. If thats not asking for her to dislike Kyri I don't know what is.

Anyway I need to go to bed. I am tired and my back hurts.

I find myself selling art again on FurBid. I am going on maternity leave soon but I don't feel right just making Mike work and me sitting at home doing nothing for 6 months. So...that led me to one conclusion...sell art!

Whew- I finally got my scanner working. But now something is wrong with my tablet. Its like certain spots on it don't want to work and I don't know why! Someone tell me why! Ah well I am gonna try and get it fixed soon.

My daughter is upset, for some reason our DVD player won't even turn on, and before anyone mentions the obvious it IS pluuged in. I am not that asleep! All she wants to do is watch Finding Nemo (My hated movie) and I feel bad cause no she can't.
