So.. I must ask, WTH is up with today's children? Even worse, WTF is with parents today with young children?! While working at a toy store I've seen a lot of /face palm moments, I have laughed at little kids crying over nothing, groaned over spoiled brats getting their way and shaking my head at the parents afterward. What is going on as of late? Whatever happened to discipline? Usually the remedy for a tantrum spewing brat was a slap in the head in public. WHAT HAPPENED?!

I get so annoyed over hearing a kid cry, groan, scream, or what have you just because they want something. What's worse is that they will not let up until they are acknowledge and by then, they are given a toy to shut them up. Bribery..? Really? Kids are getting to be more crafty, do these people not see this? Does this not click in their brains that this is manipulation? I wish I could just possess the parent for a split second and tell the kid to shut up, and if they keep having a fit and embarrass me I'd take them out of the store and they wouldn't get a single thing.

I have seen children wander into the store and,as of late, I have to tell them they can't come in without a parent/chaperon because due to all the floor/backroom work I'm doing alone, I can't watch them and tell them not to do things. (Plus, this was NEVER a babysitting service. ) The #1 answer I get from these children is, "..... is out there [in the food court in front of our store]." ... Lazy parenting, they let their child run off into a store and walk around, do w/e (I end up having to clean up after them because no one is there to tell them to pick up after themselves) AND risk their child getting hurt or kidnapped. Bri-lli-ant.

Example: There were 4 kids that walked into the store on my shift. They kept walking around playing with things and running around. Then they had discovered the cursed puppet rack. While I was helping a customer I noticed 1 of the little boys walking back into our store holding one of the puppets. I told him "Don't take anything out of the store please." So he looks at me for a minute and puts it back. Then I see the little girl with them do the same thing, but this time I catch her. I asked her where were her parents she points out at the table in front of our store window. I peer out the window and see the woman (trust me i want to call her far worse but I'll keep it clean) talking to some guy.. looked like she was flirting. I couldn't believe it. I told the kids they can't come back in here without their mother and they left the store. I'm not sure which is sadder, the fact that I had to kick them out, or the fact that she didn't bother watching her own kids and had to have a stranger discipline them.

Many times I wish I could tell the parent to take the kid out the store when they start to have tantrums or crying incredibly loud. (Not babies, these are kids that are at least 3 up to 5+) How difficult is to tell this kid no and if they start up you are going home? Better yet, why not just slap them in the head or spank them in public? Oh.. wait that's right, there's a line. YES a line, between discipline and abuse, and some people are too brain damaged to know when to draw that line or even see it. Back when I was a child (no I'm not that old! ...at least I don' think so. 21 isn't old!!!!) I didn't know what CPS (Child Protective Services) was. I didn't know it existed. I knew if I was bad I was disciplined for it. Nowadays, if you smack your child in the head in public you don't know who will be watching and they'll haul you off to prison for trying to teach your kid not to be a stupid little spoiled brat. WHY. WHY. WHY!

Changing over a little, I look back now at all the spankings I got and how I am today. I can look back and say, my parents loved me they wanted what was best for me. All they wanted was to put me on the right track. Yeah I cried then and maybe even thought they hated me sometimes, but that was never the case. If only all stories ended that way I guess. Too many variables change the end result.

There are so many questions I wish I could ask, so many opinions I wish I could share in hopes of helping, but in the end I just watch. Just last week I figured I had enough money after my b-day to go and finally solve my computer problem. I went to Best Buy and bought a really nice 18" monitor, but after I took it home my computer had the SAME problem! *head desk in defeat* SO the next day I had to take it back and this time I brought my computer and through process of elimination and help we figured it was my graphics card that was really the issue. ( We had a feeling about the card being the problem for the LONGEST. ...sometimes family just doesn't come through for you.)
After obtaining the card we gave my computer up to GS and managed to save some money by not requesting a diagnosis and what not. (if you know the problem DON'T waste your time with a diagnosis...) Yesterday, they called and said that my cpu wasn't playing nice with the keyboards and mice they provided (lolwhut?) So they wanted to restore my system and everything and I nearly freaked >_<. I told them I'd bring my stuff maybe it'll work for me. So today I went back to see the damage and praying that I didn't need to do anything else or be charged for much more. Well turns out? my keyboard and mouse work just fine with my system but not with the GS! (LAWLWTF?)



TL;DR
*knock on wood* my computer appears to be ok now! I just need to get internet back and that might take another month or so... But I can start using my tablet again!!! *huggles battered old tablet* I have been drawing still and practicing so chances are there will be LOTS of updating! (joy for the masses?)

You guys saw this coming, or maybe you didn't! (BEFORE you read the following text? I do trust you guys not to judge me )

You guys may or may not have seen the current "news" thats hot on the minds and journals of a some fellow deviants. (No I will no give links because I'm pretty sure you've either found them in another journal, or if you search you'll find them fast)

I have complete mixed feelings over this. First, when I saw a picture in a friend's favorite section, I clicked it and I honestly felt slightly dumfounded, so upon my curiousity I went to the person's front page. What I saw made me literally cry in frustration, I instantly got jealous and filled with so many negative feelings. I began to reason why a new member would only post 3 pictures and have an instant surge of
popularity and I couldn't figure out why. I wanted to know what I was doing wrong,
was it luck? Am I just not good at all? ( I still wonder from time to time but thats not the point here) I let those thoughts sink in and instead of shrugging them off I let it get to me. (don't get me wrong, the piece of art was good I'm not putting them down by any means its just doesn't seem like there was more elements put into it, please I don't want any fights started over this 1 opinion.. )

A couple of hours later I found out why this came to be. There has been a new system
implemented known as "Fair Exposer" From what I understand its meant to exist so everyone will get a chance at being featured on the front page. As I have said before, if you don't know much about this system you can search a few journals and find it pretty fast I'm sure ( It is a semi-popular topic right now ). I read a couple of journals about the system, then I got caught up in reading the opinions. I'm trying to weigh in the pros and cons still and I keep coming up with way many more cons to this whole thing. I'm trying my best to remain neutral to the whole situation, but I would like to hear your opinions as well on this subject. I know the system was made with only the best
intentions but it opened another can of worms, and its hard to be/stay positive over
such circumstances.

• Pro: More variety on the main page, if you're tired of seeing the same thing. ( I believe we've all felt this way one way or another.)

• Pro: Other artist now have a chance to gain more of a chance to show their works to the masses.

• Con: May lead to even more abuse of placing the picture in the wrong category in
order to get noticed.

• Con: Uneeded drama will be created (as it has been now)

• Con: Makes DA turn into more of a popularity contest. (Well, even more so now)

• Con: The belief this system will hurt more people than it helps.

• Con: Artist that dreamed of one day being under the popular section based on their skill might feel a bit shafted. (pardon my language on this but allow me to clarify, instead of being listed under popularity based on your skill and such, it will probably feel more like pity, just to be "fair" to you. It all depends on how you see this.)

I'm trying my best to be fair here. I want to see both sides to this and try not to be too on one side. Please, if you have an opinion or another Pro or Con to add in? Please go ahead and post it I want to see everyone's feelings on this. I'm sure I've missed a few things (because it early and I'm just getting up)

Personally I have struggled with various thoughts and wishes of one day having my art seen and liked by many, but if this new system is going to give me trouble in the long run, I really don't want to be driven into it.. ( I know this makes me sound like a hypocrite there is no avoiding that. ) I want to believe that I'm good, or I have potential but I do know I have a long way to go before I reach the level I want to be at. There are a lot of things I want to do ( I believe I've stated them in past journals ) and they pretty much all involve getting my name out there, but I want to get there because I have skill, not because its "fair". STORY TIME!!!!!!

Well last year, the reason I was gone so long is because my computer got a virus and scared me almost to death >_ I was sooo happy!! *huggles computer* + I got to keep all my files =3 YAY!
The holidays were pretty quiet from then on.. I was disappointed in myself because I drew a holiday design I wanted to color and post on DA but due to my comp problems I couldn't I'm really sorry everyone I hope you had a happy holidays anyway ^^ >>; I made out like a bandit more or less... NEAT SWAG
I haven't been completely inactive drawing wise though.. I've been trying to practice inking as of late. T^T Wish I could get some good pointers on how to do it >< I tend to make my lines too thick or I mess up completely... ARGH!!!!!!! I'm still trying to practice on various areas as well. (needs to work on filling her sketch book) I might compile my inking practice and post it in scraps if you guys are interested! I've been thinking, since its a new year I need to start working on improving just so many areas that I have to work on that it gets a bit overwhelming... and being a "perfection nazi" doesn't help the situation at all Someone please bonk me on the head and tell me to update more or something!! >.<; I might start mixing in some original characters into my gallery along with drawing some fanart (mainly Airgear, Death Note, and some Loveless pretty much) So please be patient still >.Ob I'm trying! failing.. but trying!! I'm also working on developing 2, hopefully original, story ideas. I won't really talk about them here right now, all details are still sketchy at best. You might see my potential characters popping up! Theres so much I want to do this year improving is my main goal!! I won't make you read anymore though &

ooooohhhh BTW as of January 26th.. I'm 1 year older ;; Thank you so much for those of ya that wished me a happy b-day atm... any B-day money I get I'm saving it to buy some art stuffs =x *made a ultimate list* >>; lets see how dedicated I am to this shall we? XD

Since its sunday I'm not going to be home today looks like but I just thought I'd update this neglected journal a little before I leave for the day. Soooo how is everyone? Hard to believe everyone has a slump but it happens! So now I'm in the stages of "I hate my style ... "well why don't you try to copy this person's style and add your touches to it" type of deal. Hiya guys whats up? First of all? I want to apologize for the lack of posting in my main gallery, I've been having this really bad artblock as of late and it won't go away! Nothing to inspire me.. feels like I'm completely stuck. I want to practice... and have the drive to but... where to start? And on what? How many of you have felt like this? There is so much I have to work on.. and yet I need some help knowing exactly what.. ok I'm not making sense ><; If ANYONE has any sort of advice please post XD PLEASE! ^____^
On another note? no I didn't forget that I promised a lot of drawings for people, and I appreciate no one maiming me yet XD you guys are really great to me. I'm trying to practice as much I can so I can do a good job.. >___< kinda sucks when you don't know what to draw though... sucks x2 when you KNOW what you want to draw and you have this perfect image in your head... but then when you get it down on paper it looks horrible. I'll be posting my unfinished stuff and in progress work in my scraps if you guys are interested, comment on anything you feel like, anatomy, color.. all that stuff

Hello everyone! Whats up? Sorry for lack of updates to the main gallery.. I've been having a really bad art block. I have the need and drive to practice but all my stuff looks really bad right now and it really discourages me >_<; but I'm still trying! I'm just going to post the unfinished stuff in my scraps and you guys can see that I'm not dead XD just a total art nazi... *head desk* *shot* XD buuuuuuu... One thing I REALLY fail at is having patience.. (you guys have been there too right?) the " I WANT TO BE GOOD NOW!" bug is deadly @_@; so if my gallery fills with junk doodles you'll know I'm trying to fight off that bug and push on in hopes of improving!
I didn't forget that I promised a bunch of drawings for people either I have my list by my side and I'll be getting to it! I just want to do a good job! The quest for improvement is a long winding road... if ANYONE has ANY advice of any sort? please share!!! ^_____^

Just got back from my vacation 2 days ago >.< I spent a good 2.5-3 weeks in North Carolina. @_@ and the minute I got back to NJ I went to work D: (work being helping clean out my nana's house) Turns out, my mom is thinking on moving us to North Carolina... I think she wants to do this before December we'll see how far this one gets...) It kinda really sucked cleaning out my nana's house, it feels empty..kinda makes me really sad ...so if I'm not on a bunch, its because I have to clean and sort out old stuff..

I hope I don't run outta space on it *watches iplup jam* X3 He also sent me the first Disgaea dvd (I MUST WATCH! @____@ *tries to do work first then watch over 200 hours of DVD goodness* last item was Wifi adapter for my DS ; ~ ; I haven't gotten it working yet..... I would like to thank you guys for your kind words. It means a lot that you care. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support in these tough times.

Now that the funeral is over, there is a lot that has to be taken care of.. For one? some of us have to get our sleep patterns back on track.. (some lost sleep) and for others have to eat better (yeah haven't had the appetite) I'm going to miss my nana's cooking so much... Time to try and move on even though its going to be really hard because now a huge piece of our lives is missing... Trying not to cry so much now, I know she wouldn't want any of us to cry...still can't help it though.
People came up to me and told me that I should know how much she loved me and stuff.. and even my cousins said I was lucky because out of 5 grandchildren, I was the one that was with her the most... and I thank God for the time I was able to spend with her like that.. Still feels like I lost my best friend though...
Last night my family gave me her bible that was given to her by my great grandma to pass on to my children and stuff.. So now I have to find a safe place for it and not loose it. Also before my family started to stay over I looked on her Dresser table and found the necklace that she always wore... I picked it up and put it in my pocket then I started to wear it, so now I have another thing to remember her by. Ok I phrased that bad.. I'd NEVER EVER forget about my nana. EVER. I love her WAY too much.

Next week and then August 1st for 1 week I'm going to be on vacation, so I'll be in and out on DA. I wanted to go on 2 trips, and this might help me clear my head to see new sites outside of my state! I need to finish some more CGs and stuff before my 2nd trip, and I'm trying to practice in my sketchbook... >_<; not doing so well either..

@_@ I gotta go through a ton of DA notes and stuff so I'm sorry in advance that it'll take me so long please be patient! thankies guys =3

I'm still on vacation @_@ So I still can't post any finished work (has one finished CG waiting to be posted the second she gets home and one needing to be finished) >.< Wasn't expecting to stay another week but it worked out =3 *so happy because of stuffs* I hijack my cousin's laptop when shes at work XD so I don't have a ton of time because when she gets home we usually go out and do something! Still fun =o >.>; If I can manage to work her scanner I might post of of my pokemon doodles XD (drew Cherrim, Piplup, Lopunny, and Medichan) @_@ I'm still trying to convince myself that I'll improve one day ......hopefully soon... *keeps doodling then checks her 200 odd messages* @_@; I'M SO SORRY!!! *phailure* *fail* *n00b* *gets struck by lightning* ... *smells like toast.... twitch*

Edit June 14, 2007 I'm at my friend lisa's house right now after a fun time of window shopping... T^T no stuffs... /crai Well heres a note to say I'll be gone a little while because my PoC comp FINALLY kinda committed the act of.. well... getting DEAD. So now I'm stuck without a comp for a while but when I come back I'll update a bunch T^T (now where have we heard this before...? ;;; ) I'll try not to make this time away very long T^T;;; pwomise! This is the THIRD time I'm posting this because my Computer is being a total Piece of **** still!!! GAH!!!

First of all I'm sorry for disappearing like that :\ RL stuff coming up and my Computer montitor pretty much killed itself while I was trying to work >_< and now my CPU is starting to follow along :\ Seems like I can't catch a break with stuff like this! gah T_T I'm really sorry guys..
On a brighter note, while I was at war with my crappy computer I had a small vacation when my friend Sonden came to visit me ^^ It was a lot of fun to hang out with him again! He use to play FFXI with me but now he plays WoW >.>; So if you want his info visit his page and spam that you want it XD!!! Also want to thank him for leaving that post for you guys since he knew I couldn't We had a really good time at the local mall too He got me Pokemon Diamond (OH NOOOOOZ!!!), 2 volumes of Loveless (_) *wants Volume 3 badly now! ; ;*, and a Disgaea artbook! I feel like a kid again nearly X3 Pokemon Diamond is a lot of fun! If you use to play pokemon? get Diamond or Pearl.. it has some replay value to it too, and the added Wifi stuff makes it even better ^^ I'm gonna work on getting a wireless router so I can go online to battle and trade I can't wait! Not much to say tonight except: Its too hot and I'm tired ;~; After taking a break for a few days I'm trudging onward! ^-^ I did doodle a tiny bit but it was just for S&G. Gah this heat is making me all lathargic (sp?) Makes me want to sleep a lot T^T.. I'm still considering trying one of those 100 pic challenges (seems like everyone is doing those now! o.O) but I'm still on the fence about it, maybe when I clear off all my current projects I'll draw 50 doodles and 50 real CGs maybe by then I'll see some improvement D:

This week has been kinda busy for me so far, and its only Wednesday! I've been drawing so much in photoshop @_@; Can't really see much of an improvement yet though.. ; ;.. So much to do but its getting hot where I live and the heat makes me tired, lazy, and cranky at times >_<;;;
Today is 's b-day! go say happy birthday to her X3 k? and once again.. my Scraps gets more updates than my deviations! T___T but you guys don't seem to mind sooo I guess we're all good! if ya can't tell I have very little to talk about atm +_______+ nyah!!! Just some updates!
I finished 2 request 3 more left D: *crosses fingers* Sorry they're sucky you guys T_______T I said doodles right? I was experimenting with new and quick techniques.. and yet IT STILL TAKES HOURS D: I think its partially because my computer is at the brink of 100% melt down and it gets REALLY frustrating to work with. Sorry everyone that I haven't been updating, RL and family problems I have been going on as of late, and I really don't want to talk about it.. Its really stressful atm.. and between that and getting my CG projects done :\ I'm at a total lose atm. (I REALLY perfer to get my work done..)

Good morning *yawns* just a random entry today so enjoy! I've been trying to work on my drawing and CG practice as best I can atm, I might just post some more scraps to show I'm not slacking off >_<; I posted one before bed so I hope that does something X3; Think I'll try to make my journal a little more.. eye catching
I'm still trying to wait and see if I should do commissions and stuff @_@; only because I'm not confident in my ability and scared that no one wants anything T______T; Its more like a wait and see game with me, I'll do more when I get more of a response. I got shreded in 6 hits by him! Now that I finished I'm gonna go back and try for a perfect ending X3 *crosses fingers* and I'm gonna start playing more ToA! @_@ yay more unfinished stuffs!

oo the the haha refered to what I found in the last few days! I went through a bunch of papers and folders and I found a gold mine of all my old crappy art XD some of it from 01-02!! o.O I haven't been drawing long and I can see some definet improvements I was so happy! Maybe one day I'll post it here so everyone can laugh along with me about how bad I sucked T^T well thats the point of practice and getting better right?
