Its varied from about 15-30 for a rough sketch to about 2/3 hours for a polished (as much as it's going to be) piece of b/w art. Coloring adds about 2 hours to that.

Anything, from Tchaikovsky to death metal, depends on the mood and idea shaping in my head

Today was the last day of school before school break, and everything was all.. eh marry and joyful. Everyone seemed to be in a good mood. Well, little did I know until the afternoon bus ride that the main source of this good mood is again, teasing and taunting those beyond the social norm. You'd think that just before the holidays teens would show just a tad bit of good will towards their peers... yeah right. My sister who wanted to give candy canes to her entire family, got taunted because she had four candy canes... and just because she was my sister.

Gotta love how these kids choose their victims.

I was already sick of the hair taunts. Seriously, its been over a week, GET USED TO MY FREAKING HAIR ALREADY. They should have expected something like this from the resident (read: solo) freak/weirdo/goth kid. Having my sister getting picked on by four different kids BEHIND HER BACK is nearly too much to handle, and as soon as I intervened to tell them to shut the hell up, guess who's turn it was? I got more hair taunts, called a lesbian because I sat next to another person who doesn't follow social norm, and people were doing dares that involved me. "Dude. If you put your arm around her... I'll like give you 5 bucks."

Unfortunately I lost it and I yelled at them.. a lot, but FOR FREAKING JESUS CHRIST PEOPLE. Has goodwill towards your peers literally become nothing but a saying? I've been civil towards these brats longer then I've cared for, and they still want to harp on me, and my sister too now.

People wonder why I'm always alone, or have worked solo my entire life, and have always tried to avoid people as much as possible. Well. If they'd look at themselves, they'd see the reason. I'm tired of being nice to people when they just spit in my eye and kick me while I'm down.

I'm tired of being me when all that happens is I get crucified for it.

Sorry about the rant. I promise I'll have some more art up before Christmas.

School's been almost too easy... with the exception of gym class. The teacher suddenly has gotten strict after our class apparently was naughty when a sub was teaching. As far as I could tell, the class was functioning at its normal level of maturity... Eh. Well, fortunately gym ends at the end of the semester. Then comes... Sewing!

On the downside, I have art's block again.. which is why I'm uploading older things again, and hopefully I'll be able to upload some stories and poems. Again I hope that there's a flow of creativity before the holidays, otherwise there will be no special Holiday themed deviation for you special people.

However, to offset my concerns for education standards, I've joined the set construction crew for Seussical The Musical in September. Now we're approaching the performance dates, and I've been forced to be absent from certain work sessions because of Physics and my parents. Yet, I'm glad to say that its very fun to help create something this fantastic, because seriously, who doesn't like Seuss? His style is amazing.

Now it is October, and damn chilly in good ol' Wisconsin. All Hallows Even (halloween for short) is neigh upon us! Have you told your spiders to weave spectacular cobwebs for the skeletons in your closets yet? Well? Has your table been replaced with a coffin? Is your brother rather hairy yet when the full moon approaches? If not, you're not ready. And I will beat you with a plastic lightsaber while dressed up like batman with a spock mask. (Don't ask.. its 11 pm.) I WILL. Get out your mummies! Train those ghouls to scare away those candy leeching kiddies dressed like princesses! Now, before they eet you!

----Art Update----

Possible sign of a scanner may be in my future, which actually comes from my past. My crappy scanner from before may be reborn at my dad's, get this, WITH THE ABILITY TO SCAN IMAGES. Total Oh Em Gee right? But don't get your hopes up, as it will only happen when my sister is willing to clean her messes. *sigh.*

As you've already seen with my Siouxsie Sioux picture, I'm trying to work with different mediums and materials. I'll be trying to get back to doing more landscapes (pray that its not more trees o_o) and realistic designs, and male characters.

Maybe a few late Halloween drawings. Maybe. If you're good enough so Ashlyea won't steal your arm, maybe I will draw some halloween drawings or hand turkeys.

Almost Anyways.

Between my journal entry on July fifth and this one, I have had the chance to do more exciting things worth mentioning on this Journal. A few of them I've mentioned to a few friends, but they still deserve a mention on the oh-so-consistent journal.

First and foremost, on July 30th, my dad, his friend, my sister, and I traveled down to Oshkosh to go to the annual AirVenture. For those who don't know what this is, its a huge convention for people who fly planes and such. The planes were really interesting to look at, especially the WW planes and "exhibits". There was a mobile NASA exhibit that I particularly liked, where I got some free posters and stickers to put on my walls . There were planes that also doubled as exhibits, and were the only ones people could actually touch and look at. Those were pretty cool, but one made me nauseous just thinking about the altitude people jumped off of it from.

Later in the day I did get to listen to the local AirVenture band, hear two groups of boring people talk almost endlessly, and then finally see Jeff Dunham. Yes. But I believe the only reason why they had him preform at the AirVenture, was because he himself is an actual pilot.

Moving on to early/mid-August, we (as in my mum, grandma, sister and I) took the school-clothes shopping trip to Green Bay. This was a big for my grandma, who hasn't had the chance to do this since before 2005. I believe that on that trip we must have stopped at nearly every Goodwill in Green Bay, but unfortunately we didn't have a chance to explore the downtown, which probably was loaded with hidden thrift shops holding even more unknown treasures then those I had the chance to take. These included a porcelain doll, a black porcelain box (It looks handcrafted, and was only about 1$), clothing, a belt, and shoes.

We're actually going again (not sure if it is Green Bay this time) for more clothing, seeing as we didn't get too much because of a pressed schedule to try and get back before it got too late. The day did end well though, as around 6ish, we stopped and went to Olive Garden for lunch.

The end of the mere pencil sketches has come! My coloured pencils have been found once more! Expect more devations with colour again, and with a better result. This time I'm learning a better technique when colouring my drawings, particularly manga styled pieces.

During my first week of being offline, I was able to do a lot of walking around. I took my camera and snapped a bunch of pictures (Now on my photobucket account (look up LerranaGlazel)). We went to the cemetery and to a park. Took some reference pictures of a really beautiful grave and a lot of nature pics. Maybe I'll try to sketch them .

Later in the week my mum, dad, my sister and I went to the fourth of July Fair and watched fireworks! (more pictures up on my photobucket account)

Besides that, I took some more pictures of my art (and I could swear the camera's taking crappier pictures for every single shot). Most of them are uploaded, and I'll upload the rest after I get some permission from a friend to upload another. Its all mainly realistic drawings.

I'm currently waiting for my dad to wake back up to take me to school. :< He's been really tired lately from work. AND MAH TUMMAH IS GRUMBLIN'.

Last night I had my Orchestra concert. Here's what we played:
-6 & 7 grade orchestra
-9th grade Orchestra: Fantasia Espanola
-8th grade (THATS ME): Sabre Dance, The Faraway Place, Rosamunde Overture, and Old Joe Clark.

I also convinced my dad to take numerous piccies from the concert. :3 Those will be uploaded via photobucket soon. If I get to go online tonight, that is.

I am missing my lerrvily duckies from shurty. I want to see them soon D: And roleplay lots Hehe.

Despite that my scanners still broken, but I really don't care anymore. There are fresh ideas running through my mind. Both for writing and for drawing. Its insane, I mean, it all happens right before I go to sleep at night (or early in the morning).

Ok, fine. Real news: The scanner's fracking busted up, I've lost two friends now, and another one of them is going down into a depression. Fantastic.

So, since the scanner's broken, there will be no new deviantations for a while. However, by the time I get a new one, there will be loads of fantastic art to upload. I'll mainly be uploading several character concept drawings and a couple of scenery pictures.

Number two, because of recent complications (I'd rather not go into it.) I've gained another probable enemy. This is the main reason for my bitter mood. The person I'm referring to used to be one of my closest friends, but because I had to (once again) do something to piss them off, I've ruined another friendship. Its unbelievable.

Finally we step into the real world, one of my rl friends has taken into the hobby of self mutilation. This pisses me off. Honestly, I know self hatred can do this to some people, but why? What is the real point? It disgusts me on how people can think so lowly of themselves. Now it sounds very hypocritical when only a paragraph ago I was angry at myself, but I'm talking about true self loathing. It hurts yourself and gets you no where.

Good Gods sometimes I feel as if some part of me is actually trying to push others away from me, like I'm supposed to be solitary. There's too much misery for my taste anymore and its time we all grew up and looked at things reasonably.

Morals:
A) Don't rely on someone else's scanner.
B) Don't make fool decisions to suddenly leave or to hate someone because their leaving. Hate them for their real character for goodness sakes.
C) THE WORLD IS NOT ALL DOOM AND GLOOM
