I'm not taking the gallery with me, it'll all still be here for people to see, but I will be disabling the comments feture on them. It will never again be updated.

Why? Be because as time has passed the Ashreila account has become the opposite of what I wanted to be. Now, in order to move ahead in my art I have to abandon this gallery and start a new one.

If you want to find me, just click the icon at the top of the journal entery, but keep in mind that it will be a while before anything is uploaded to the new gallery as I finish tieing up the lose ends here.

A little ealier today I took a walk to the marsh near by my apartment building to servey the trash that had accumulated there, and see about picking some of it up.

When I got there I found the city had come in and some effort in getting the garbage up, but more people were still putting it there.

I better explain just as to what all tihs is about. Recently, land developers started looking at what remained of our wetlands for constuction even though a large chunk of the Buckroe area was earmarked, and evacuated for auction and (hopefuly) urban renual. There are signs posted everywhere saying save Hampton City's wetlands, but I haven't seen anyonoe accuaully going into the wetlands themselves to clean then up.

There are a fair number of alcoholics, underage drinkers, and local high school students who come there as it is a quasi-social gathering point. There may even be some area homless sleeping there going by the blanket I saw thrown over a tree. As a result of this, stormdrain run off, and the weather patterns that come with being a coastial city. The litter runs the gammit from beer bottles + cans, to computer parts. Some of it even comes from out of state as the waste managment industry likes to use southern states as depositories fortrash and other waste produced by commercial, and industial indevors form urban centers.

There isn't much I can do about what ends up oin the water untill I get some water proof gear, and a handheld net. The trash on land, while seeing someone else giving this try ir refreshing (the city sometimes will come down there and do a little house keeping), some of it has been ther so long that thorny vines have and toher plant life have grown around it.

Nextime I try this I'll come better prepared.

Earlier in the course of the week I got a note from the dA staff saying that one of the pics in my galrey was banned. I'm not really bothered by this, I figured "Gaia's Plea" would have been removed eventually. What supprised me was the fact that four other deviations in my gallery would have to be removed for the same reason, copyright infringment, because I didn't have the written consent of my sources, but they were still there because they had managed to ecape this, and have been there longer.

I ended up letting them know that to ban one means banning them all, and they were thusly removed. I really shouldn't have to rub the nearly defunct automated system in there faces. I bet there are peices through out deviantART that woul fall under the same catigory. Leaving me and many others to ask as to why there still there.

Here are some of my guesses.

1) Being that this is a world wide museium run by a relitivly small staff (likely no more than a few hudred people at most, more likley less) that the volume of entries is to great to keep up with.

2) The tradition of using magizine clippings as collage material leads to an number of deviations more or less protected from being reported. (in some cases it may be a good thing)

3) Some of the images aren't readily recogniseable. ("Gaia's Plea" had a satalite image of the Earth taken by some countries obitin camera, the "Pro Life?" series had pic from various and in some cases obcure web sourses)

To those who feel they were unfair censored my condolances. To those who made the common mistake I did, it happens but atleast we now know how to keep it form happening agian. An email or a letter of consent from your source.

The world is becoming more and commertialized, but at least there are legel ways around it.

Thank you for reading this semi-rant.

Whenever anyone participates they get a thank you notice intsantanously in their inbox. I participated, but the standard note that is sent out never came.

Of Ideology and Reality

So much to say, yet no idea where to start.

In my previous journal, I had a good bitching session about the efforts of conserned people going to waste due to a crooked medical system. An instance where the ideology and reality of a given situation clashed.

Thinking about the two and the anniversery of Steve Irwin's untimely passing has promted me to ask.

Just how do you bring ideology into reality?

I think it would be best to define what the two are for the sake of having it as reference.

Ideology as defined by Wikipedia is an organized collection of ideas. ( [link] )

While reality is defined as (in everyday usage) "the state of things as they actually exist." ( [link] )

Finding a cure for cancer and conservation are two noble examples of ideologies. Both have champions the world over.

For further refrence the defintions of both will also be listed.

Conservation in of itself has several aplications, ( [link] ) but for the purposes of this journal I'll use the enviromental reference ( [link] ).

While finding the cure for cancer ([link] + [link] ) of any kind is relivant to this, I'll use breast cancer ( [link] ) as it's the one dA is drumming up support for.

To start the former.

Coservation.

What advocates want: Not only the restoration of a balanced ecosystem, but also humanity to start working within the natural balance, and the technology to do so while still maintianing the high standard of living the western culture claims to promote.

What's accually happening: Inspite of the efforts of people worldwide to warn us of the consequences of a focile-feuled, pre-pacaged lifestyle. Few have really listened. Those that have, by large, have either been, or been made powerless by those who hold real sway over our governments. This has. and still is happening everywhere. Even in places the no ever really expected. I don't know much about the censorship laws over seas, save for the the fact that they exist in varying degrees, but over here in the U.S. the current adminitration has found very subtle ways to get around the costitution. The first Amendment in particular. How? There's an entire hand book dedicaed to keeping protesters out of site of the media. It's called The "Presidential Advance Manual". To view this - [link] I will tell you now that this in NOT the complete document. Read it through anyway, and be horrified. To anyone from another country who's reading this, some of the tactics in this manual may be familiar to you in some way shape or form. They also might not be. As I said, I know virtually nothing of over seas censoship laws. This manual shows the direction the United States is currently heading in. What does this have to do with what's accually happening? Yiu know those people who care? They generally fall in the catagory of "You and Me". The common people who want to see positive change happen are being repressed by what is slowly becoming more and more a police state. It is said that education will set you free, and these people know it! They've relied on the poorly funded public school system, standardized testing, and "No Child Left Behind" to turn public schools into veritable brain factories. To you parents out there this means that your children are being trained to follow blindly by being instilled with a fear of the outside world, and many of you have fallen in the trap hook-line+sinker. Under the guise of keeping them safe many of you have begun filtering what media they are exposed to. The goal in all of this is to narrow the minds of the people down to a set point. Once everything is in place, then the process of eliminating varying mindsets can begin. I'd go as far as to say that it has already begun. Why? Because if we all are merely following anothers will, then there will be no protests, no struggles while the actions of the draconian rulers go unchecked. Killing us, and the world in the process. You see, our world leaders are (to the best of my knowledege) all backed finacially by companies who's only real consern is profit. Money really is the root of all evil. To be fair there really are some things that parents shouldn't be letting there kids watch. Those are pretty point blank and obvious. They also should be making some time to prepare for the world world that they will be facing as adults, not making then...

Yo! Wuz-up.

As you can see plainly by the the dA icon in the top right hand corner of the screen, there a rive going on to raise "breast cancer awareness" as well as funding for pateints, the cure, all that. To be honest, while I do care that a very large number of women are dying from this horrible disease, and their freinds and family suffer the loss of loved ones, I still must ask.

Do you really think that doctors are really willing to give up such a large part of their income? Think about it. Most of the money made by the medical and phamicudical industries are prodused from one of two sources.

Cancer and A.I.D.S.

Both terible, but to these guys, (most of them, there are still a few good doctors who really do want their patients tto have a good qulity life) profitable.

For the sake of arguement, lets strt with breast cancer.
If a cure was ever found for this, then cures for other cancers would aslo have to come. That means the doctors, and let reitterate not all of them are like this, would lose a major source of their wealth becoause the number of cancer patients who stayed under their care for extened lenths of time woud completely deminish. They make more money off the sick people than healthy one. God forbid that their pateints should become more educated in the matter to boot.

The same holds true for all other cancers and A.I.D.S.

On top of all of this, there are a whole host of rare and lesser known diseases that the medical comunity at large does not know enough to recognize or dignose.

For example-

Some Genetic Disorders-

Trisomy 18 or Edwards Syndrome; [link]

Atrioventricular septal defect; [link]

Fanconi anemia; [link]

Congenital adrenal hyperplasia due to 17 alpha-hydroxylase deficiency; [link]

Congenital adrenal hyperplasia due to 21-hydroxylase deficiency; [link]

Cancers that don't make the news-

Sarcoma: A type of cancer that starts in the bone or muscle

Wilms' tumor: A kidney cancer (tumor) that occurs in children, usually before age 5.

Even more, most of the studies one in medicine focus primarily on male health issues. If your a woman an need medical help then pray you luck out and find a caring an knowledgable doctor, or specialist. Otherwise, your fucked.

And the money that gets raised by inivduals that do care?
If it doesn't line some roch bastards pockets, then it's spent on what is commonly known as "junk science". Basicaly, resrearch that tells us things we usually already know, or or set up to produce certain results.

Now don't get wrongn (and I can't stress this enough) there still some good medical practioners out their who do care about there patients and not just their money, or whether they have addiquate insurance, but for every good doctor in the U.S. there's at three bad ones.

Take extreem care when choosing your primary care physitian.

In closing, don't count on there being a cure for breast cancer (or any other cancer for that matter) unless something even worse is discovered to replace the ost income in the meical community.

"When having a smackerel of something with a friend, don't eat so much that you get stuck in the doorway trying to get out."
"You can't stay in your corner of the forest, waiting for others to come to you; you have to go to them sometimes."

Yes, this is ine of those "You Know You Like (enter fandom here) Too Much When" lines, but after coming up with a a few of my own and finding that the accual number of YKYLHTMW's is accually just the one the hosted by as an extention of her fancomic site. So I figured that it couldn't hurt to start one here @ dA. I'll post the one I've come up with this evening and invite anyone who reads this to add to it. Be as weird as you want. So without further ado(sp?)-------

You Know You Like Hellsing Too Much When

1. You adopt a cat, and name it Schroedinger.

2. You try to convince a real preist to cosplay as Anderson.

3. You accually address the parish preist as Fr. Anderson.

4. You regularly wear a white suit and matching trench coat in the hopes of picking up a blonde aristicrat. (May Vegi + Kuro grow old together)

5. You pester a butcher to squeeze blood off of a cut of beef, and then splash it on a labcoat that you nicked from a teacher supply store.

6. That labcoat is then worn everywhere you go.

7. You insist that your optomotrist add extra lenses to to your glasses.

8. Without warning, or explaination you suddenly stop speaking, and not one person can get a single word out of you.

9. You start using brittish terminology in you everyday speech, and your not a britt.

10. To go along with this, you start to naturally fall into the accent without realizing it.

11. You add to you camping guide book anyone, or all of the following

~In the event that you should encounter a wolf, salute it then get the f*ck out of the way before he shoots you.

~Don't forget to to pack extra holy water and communion wafers.

~Cheese wire can save your life.

12. You use an umbrella on sunny days.

13. Your first tatoo is a star fair-smack in the middle of your forehead

14. The entire right half of your body is covered in occult tatoos

15. You purposely wear mis-matched color contacts

16. You wear an eye patch, even though you can still see out of both eyes.

17. You insist that Starbucks start serving Maxwell House brand coffee.

18. You look online for any of the Dok's infamous recipes.

Wow, I came up with more than I thought I could. For anyone who should come across and accually takes it seriously

Now lets see what you can come up with. I'll post it, no matter what it is, in the name of fan-based funny

My RPG Charicter:

Name: Sitka D' Larae

Gender: Female

Race: Human

Age: 22

Hair Color/lenth: Brown. Short, simalar to what you might see on a guy

Eye Color: Hazel

Weapon: Generally none, but if the need arises will use her field knife, walking stick, or whatever she can get a hold of at the time for self defence.

Personality: Kind, but also shy, and socailly akward. Slightly feral, due to the lack of human contact. For the most part passive, unless the curcunstances don't permit that.

History: Sitka comes from a long line of herbalists, herself being the last of that line. Her home village and family were wiped out by a marauers when she five. In order to preserve the families legacy and knowledge, her mother hid Sitka and the family manuscripts in a cavern some distance away, arming her only with her feild knife and walking staff before rushing down the mountianside to the vilage and her demise. Before that, Sitka's life was fairly normal, even thought Sitka herself didn't seem to act that way in the eyes of her village, and family. Prefering climing trees, catching bugs, and slashin around in a near by stream to playing with dolls even though she was often falling off or out of what ever she climbed into. These tendancies turned out to be to her benifit after the raid as she has had to teach herself everything from hunting to reading. All fo the basic skills of survival where hard earned, but literacy was even harder.

A year after the Sitka's home village was raised a group displaced peasants found the ruins and settled. They themselves where forced to flee for their lives when the local lord, fearing peasent revolt, made literacy illegal against the peasantry and set forth an order to exicute anyone who could even so much as write their own name. After settling, they buried what remained of the villagers bones in what later became the church cemitary, they rebuilt the old village, salvaging what they could and replacing the rest. Sitka, who had been living off incects, roots, berries, and whatever edibles she could find, saw smoke and dust rising from where her village once stood. Being curious, as all children are, she went down to investigate the goings on.

The new villagers, while literate to varying degrees, had only possesed a vauge knowledge religious teaching and were highly superstitious. As a result they did look kindly upon the strange child that wore rags, and seemed to pop out of nowhere, and mistaking her for a demon chased her off with torches. A party was formed to hunt her down and kill her, but never found her as she new how to hide in the bush. There she waited untill night fall before returning.

She didn't go completly unnoticed, however. She was spotted by an old woman heading out to fetch water for her basterd son. In an attemt to drive her away she filled the water jar to the brim and splashed Sitka with the contents, rinsing off enough of the dirt to reveil that she was a human child and not an unholy imp like first thought. Seeing an oppertunity to garner some power over the other villagers, she seized Sitka by the hair adn dragged her back to her home where she met the equally abused son, Enrik, only to be made to sleep outside in eachothers company.

While Enrik was well aware of how things worked with in the house hold and knew to stay put, Sitka took it as a que to head back to the warmth and safety of the cavern which had been her home for the past year. Not willing to leave Enrik out in the cold, she proceded to try and lead to the twevle year off with her. After several tries, to no avail, she went off on her own, still soaking form the earlier dowsing back up the mountian side. Enrik meanwhile, knowing that the beating for losing track of Sitka would likely be far worse than the beating for leaving followed behind her gathering sticks along the way. Upon arival to the cavern, Enrik started to light a fire as he'd seen his mother many times before while Sitka sat down shivering next to him, not speaking until morning when he asked about the books containing the her family's herbal knowledge. At that point Sitka started to cry, and told between him about what had happended to the village, her family, and how she survived.

Being the one who could read, Enrik decided to to teach her what the words ment in those books in exchange for the books themselves when the le...

Honest comments and critique are necessary for any improvement of a given work. Like this good lady,, was kind enough to provide.

She said the folloing on [link]
I don't know how to make this comment without sounding too angry.

This is extremely offensive and disgustingly ignorant.

It's like saying that anyone who's pro choice is pro abortion. And that's obviously untrue, because I supremely hope that no one supports abortion. "Oh I'm a big fan! I get them as often as I can!"

No one supports deforestation. No one thinks it's a good thing. There's a line between acceptable and not, and that's what you're talking about. Some people think that it's acceptable for agriculture, for the advancement of business or whatnot, but nobody supports the destruction of the earth.

And this generalization that conservatives back deforestation is ludicrous.

Your "political art" isn't art. It's taking somebody else's picture (then confusing a forest fire for deforestation, which actually insults the person who originally took the picture) and then you put some text on it and called it good.

But it's not. It's not art and it's not accurate. It's just one more ignorant statement that the ignorant masses would get behind because they don't understand and they don't care to.

The next time you want to make a statement, make it a real one that holds a real message and impact.

As you can plainly see, she's pissed.

Now before you even think of telling me not to listen to her, or not to let her "get you down" I'd like to point out that I'm glad she got pissed of. And was honest with me about the fact that she was discusted only sweetened the pot for me.

The lesson here is don't be nice if you think some someone posted on this sight really sucked. Faving a persons work is a great way to support the artist, or let them know that you at least like the peice, but try to avoid faving blindly when it comes to something wtih an intended meesage. The whole point of trying to get a message across, aside from spreading word, is to get honest feedback from others.

That means if your offended or don't like the peice for whatever reason don't be hesetent on saying so. If I want to improve at all, I can't afford to be coddled.

has my upmost gratitude for her honest feedback, it's just the swift kick in the ass that I need every so often.

Other Stuff:

I'm grouping the people I watch by what there galleries consists mostly of in the hopes that I can finally catch up on all those deviations.

I'm enrolled now at TNCC and am compleating FAFSA forms online. If all goes well I should at least have my tuition taken care of.

When classes start I won't be on dA as often due to class and work, I'll do the best I can at keeping up, but no promises.

After much consieration I've started going to church again and am looking for one that works for me. The first one I went to had a nice relaxed atmosphere. A litterally jeanes and t-shirt place, but the music I found grating and I didn't appreciate that the sermon was based on a clip from a movie. Pop isn't my thing. Funny though, the person who invited me started bad mouthing the parishioners to the next place I planned on trying when she heard what the name of it was. Now I'll give her the benifit of the doubt when she's saying these thing going on the fact that she's never been there, but it does make me think that that different denominations are still highly compeditive with one another.

That's all for now, meanwhile I have some reading to do.

And a little anxty.

To those celebrating the holiday, happy 4th.

My problem with this and every other holiday. The over commercializiation. Independance day for example. Fro those here in the U.S. this day was set aside as a day to celebrate our personal freedoms. I doubt this had anything to do with store wide sales, and plastering everything in red, white, and blue. When one accually thinks about how this country got to where it is today, you have to wonder if it was anything to be proud of. For those who would label ne "unamerican" for saying this do need to bare in mind that I also enjoy the same rights as you do. Just as you have the right to wave the nations flag everywhere you go, have the right to chose not to. Back on the the thoughts of our history, I have to wonder how the first people to come here felt when all these foreiners started coming over uninvited and persicuting them. In all irony, that was one of the reasons that the puritains and other groups came here to avoid. So in trying to escape hostility from one group, they harbored hostility towards another group for the same reasons that forced them to leave thier own native countries. On top of all that slavery was legal up untill Lincoln decided to ebd it. So not only is the 4th of July to celebrate our own freedoms, but to rcognize the freedoms of others and remember that not everyonr\e here is really free in the sence that we know it. A large number of so-called "minority groups" are still being harassed and socially ousted by the "majority" at a time when change is eminent. The people I'm talking about recieve harassment from the "majority" about nearly everything to how the drees to whether or not the y can vote. Yes people there are still sick bastards out there who don't want certain groups of people to vote, or certian candidates elected. The victims include ethinic "minorities"(that word really sucks. just because you not "white" doesn't mean you have less importain, or have less of a vioce), generaly anyone who isn't "strait", or the homeless. Really! I was homeless a while back and while getting I.D. together for job aplicatiosn the clerk who waited on me at the DMV asked if I'd like to register. I said yes and she typed something into the computer. Now I will give her the benifit of the doubt here, not because she idn't prouce the forms nececary to register, but because southerners like to ask such questions as a way of making small talk. Just because you've roof to call your own doesn't mean that you have no rights. This is the same for anyone one else. You have more power that you relise. A modern example, if something at any level of government is not right than 2/3 popular an elcetorial vote can change that. So yes, if the current "Comander in Cheif" (or any other govenment official for that matter) is abusing their power for the intrests of either themselves or finacial backers, WE the peple have the right to stop them. In the hindsight of the nearly two terms of a man who should have never entered politics running things on behalf of corporate greed, I hope we don't forget the lessons taught by the Bush Admintration on how not to run things. Granted, not all was his fault. the people who were under him were very much in the way of incompetent to. Since I've been ranting on about rights and such, wouldn't it be nice to think that we had the right to a compitent intel network? Apartently we don't. If the FBI, CIA, and anypne else responsable for criminal and terrorist info where working together and not as seperate (not to mention isolated) departments, the sencelss trajity that got us all into this global political mess could have been avoided. It also woul have helped if "Big Brother" were not inturn being watched by "Big Corpoations". The same guys who back all manner of polticain, like to use those they've funded to ekpt there own interests safe. Now, when a change in enregy ecomimy is asolutly emminent, "Big Buissiness" namely oil is cannibaling itself like lobesters in captivity when insted they've should have been planning on foccile fuels running out and oing some serious reserch into orther energy sources. So in short what is being sold to us every year on every holiday, regardless of what holiday it is, is the same consumerism driven lie. Holidays are cool, but don't forget their meaning. I'm sick of over commercialized, national shopping spree minded, days of celebration over something that lost its original meaning. I can't tell anyone what do with their lives, I don't the right. I just wanted to get that off my cheast and out in the open.

Guess what kiddies! I got sent home from work early because I refused to do an hour and a half long task two hours before my shift ends. To explain further, I was asked to make a sample tray on a slow day, with half a bunt cake and a bunch of little plastic cups. The shear tedium of this individual task is more than enough to warrent insuborination when issued that late in a closers shift. I can see if I needed to do this earlier in the day to attract buissiness, but not so so close to the time a department closes. So now I'm getting written up for my offence and have to speak to the store directer in the morning. In the meantime, the perishables manager who sent me home is likely now kicking herself for doing so as I was the only one working back there and the other closer has a four year old and no last minute sitters. I doubt that my job is secure at this point, but it could have all been avoided if the woman who passed down the order would have exercised a little common sence and either asked me when I first came in, or let me just finish closing like I normally do insted of showing her suborinates and superiors just how bad her control issues really are. So for now at least, the is jokes on her and I might finally get to the nearly thousand deveations piled up in my watch list.

The Ligher Note

Minor charicters.
I've noticed that minor charicters are getting some fan love in one of my fave fandoms. It had to happen eventually, but minor and throw away charicters are part of those nit picky details (something I'm no good with writing in my fics) that move a story along. There also fun to make up backstories and synopies for.

For Example Danyman, a minor throw away from the Hellsing manga, has no known (to me at least) backstory. However, a short one can easly be made form what we see of him. At least the how's and why's of his invaloment with Millenium.

What I can up with when commenting on a journal.

Dandy? I have to wonder how millenium find him.

Seems like they came across an old gambler, down on his luck. Discovered in his twilight years with nothing left to lose, and nothing left to gain.

What came up with.

Mmmk.
Dandy was a street preformer trying to earn cash to support his gambling addiction. He did card tricks and stuff for people and the people were amazed some they'd give him a few coins, but it still wasn't enough. One day, when Millennium was out looking for someone they could recruit as a translator, Schrodinger stopped in the middle of the road and complained that he was bored and wouldn't budge until someone entertained him. The other members tried, but Schrodinger was not impressed. Dandy hear this German squabble and came to investigate.
"I can entertain him" He said IN FLUENT GERMAN.
"You can?" asked Rip.
"Yes, but if I do, I want a job." He answered.
"You can be our translator then, because YOU'RE FREAKISHLY TRI-LINGUAL!" said the Major.

Any one who wants to contribute a minor charicter backstory will be feaured.

And finally a survey that's been going around.

It 2:12am, and I find myself unable to sleep. As of late I've been dealing with increasing bouts of depresion. It seems that no matter what I do to try and chear myself up, something overshaows all that I've just done and I'm bummed out all over again.

For thode of you who want me to go see a shrink, please bare in mind that I live in one of the "gateway to the south" states. All the psyciatric "proffetionals" here either are in it soley for the money or have an alterior motive. Not one genuenly cares about the mental health of their patients. Meication doesn't really help. Insted, it increases the social presures from others to fit in wiht what the majority in the given area call "normal". In other words being something you're clearly not, and consiering that suicide is a potential side affect to most if not all perscribled anit-depressants, I think I' rather learn to deal with my oun emotions.

Sociaty here doesn't like to give you many outlets for emotion, and in the ones avalable, the majority only wants you to say happy things. Nice.

What I really need to do is get my ass back in school, and to be honest, I want to go to collage. However, there is a little problem in dealing with financial aide. Hear in Virginia (as far as I know) you can't get a Pels Grant if you living with you parent, gardian, ect. unless you're at least 23.

So I have to wait working at some minimum wage job, barely making enough money to by groceries while having a mid-life crisis at the ripe old age of 22. WTF is wrong with this image. A lot.

1. My family's current income level means that I can't readily maintain what accula knoledge I posses. If this continues for much longer, I'll become little more than a well spoken idiot, if it hasn't happened already.

2. It's said that a mind is a terrible thing to waste, but here there isn't much incouragement to build opon it. At all. This directly reflected by what employment is acually avalable here, and the fact that most of the alumni of the prestigious Hampton University come from out of state.

3. Not only are mind in general wasred, their very existance is completly unapreciated. As thinking is not encouraged here, what is is following the fashion trends of of overly hyped, over payed, and just plain spoiled celebs, most of whom have a ecided lack of substance.

The list goes on and on, but I'm finally getting so I better go to while the gettings good.

I'm currently startng a series called "Pro Life?". Bacisly, I find photo stock of various ecological disasters and and ask the following,
"Pro life? Then why do support this?", or something of simalr meaning as appropriate to the photo. The person or website where the orogoinal pic can be found will be given full credit for there photography work and a link will be provided in the artists comments. The only thing I will take credit for are the words typed in the image. The point? To get the message across that anyone who calls themselves "pro life" must be for all life and not just stopping birth control practices. (a nessecity in order to keep human over population from getting worse) It would be nice if they wern't so shotily made in the first place.

Also, finding the images I accaully need for this on dA is not as easy as it sounds. most of what I found when looking for an appropriate forest image came up looing very picuresque. Which is nice to see, but not what I need for the project.

Oh, and somebody please tell me why I found this [link] when looking up nuclear? It's cute, but chibibots don't belong here. At least not when you looking for serious subject matter.

The first in the "Pro Life?" series.
Artist's Comments
Hold your breath....see how it feels to NOT breath....then consider...........

We've lost nearly 10 Billion Acres of Trees since 1492. That's over 54%. Trees convert Carbon Dioxide to Oxygen, that's the stuff we breath. Carbon Dioxide is the stuff we exhale. Carbon Dioxide is called a "Greenhouse Gas" because it's breathed by plants and trees. However, its buildup in the atmosphere is causing climate change. How long do we have? You do the math. Politicians say it's all about automobile emissions and fossil fuel use. I say they are dead wrong.

Lets bring about an end to Atmospheric Armageddon. Form a coalition. People, business, science and government need to ally to solve this. Without a breathable atmosphere, humanity won't survive. As ours continues to deplete oxygen and buildup carbon dioxide, ill health will give rise at a worsening rate, and bad climate changes will deepened. The outlook could be a bleak one if we don't act now.

Every state in the USA, for instance, has a Forestry Commission. We could induct them into overseeing the planting of trees and the creation of nurseries for saplings. City and County Governments have discretion over spending on parks and trees in city streets, suburban areas. Planting Trees is the only solution possible.

I give permission for the club to publish this in their gallery. Please feel free to use all you want on and off DA....we need to get this through the heads of humanity.

[link]

As of late I'm trying to remember what I dream, or at least some part of it so as to get ideas for writting. the problem with the is that I'm a habitaul dreamer. My heads in the clouds about 90% of the time. So when my subcontious accually kicks in my head is swimming allready and what I've seen an heard of it is lost. For example, a few days ago (I don't usually wake up till like noon) I had a very strange dream that Ican rember very litte of exept the following.

On a bed somewhere in the world a figure draws me close and tells me "Relax, you have nothing to fear from me". It might seem beleivable if the guy wern't wearing blood stained clothing.

This was probly the result of me falling asleep while ponering why the mad scientist that accually appered in that dream tends to where only half a f***ing shirt. In a way it got me to wondering. Was it because the dream was smart enough to know it wasn't real? Do dreams posses any accual inteligence, or are they relecting the intelectual cappacities of the dreamer themselves? *ponders*

Anyway, it was one of those what the f*ck type of senarios. As for the series that SeventhZodiac has requested me to write, I'm curently at a stand still with trying to get the picture in my mind to translate to words on a screen with out sounding (for lack of a better word) cheesy. In the meantime dalin715 has gone off to find some technical assistance in prying open my mind for her fangirl wishes. Lets hope my skull remains intact after this. I'll need it's contents undamaged for further use.

Everyday I get large numbers of petitions from [link]
I'd though I'd share a few and what I have to say on them.

Make Farm and Food Policy Meet the Needs of All Americans
[link]

Food for many peolpe is a hard enough commodity to obtain on it's own. Suburban sprawl, tract housing, and condos that no one can really afford only make it harder for people just making it by the skin of thier teeth, and almost impossble for the inpoverd. On top of all that, sustainable farming practices in of themselves are being dicoraged in the name of proffit. Most of the this food is thown away before it is ever purchaced. I see thousands of pounds of bread, produce, dairy, and pantry staples thrown into the compacter because they've gone bad before they could be puchaced. Over proction is not only wasteful, but unnecessary and harmfull. The building of exepenive new housing insted of maintaing what is already there is pointless an serves only to attract people who refuse to give up there already unheathy automobile-based lifstyle. doing what they're doing now is counterproductive in the long run and shoul be stopped before it has the chance to get any worse.

Tell Congress to Increase Fuel Economy Standards
[link]

We need to get off fosil fuels all together. This is far from a perminent solution, but it a place to start.

Get Toyota to bring its hybrid minivan to America!
[link]

Americans are the worst offenders when it comes to putting out greenhouse gasses. Don't beleive me? Tell me then, how many of you fellow americans have driven somewhere than you could have easly walked to? An able bodied inividual has no exuse not to walk there. Thriftstore often have great eals on used bikes. If one needs to drive somewhere, wouln't it be nice to drive something fuel efficient? Gas is far too costly, both environmentally and monitarily, to be used wastefully. The same engine infact can be used to power local transit systems as a go between between oil and H3O.

Support Effective and Real Global Warming Action
[link]

For once can't you get your heads out of your wallets and ignore "big oil"?

Thank CA Senator for Her Efforts to Protect Domestic Violence Victims and Their Pets
[link]

Thank for you efforts. Mabey someday it will be stopped for good, but the reality is that abusers still exist an the real solution to it violates human rights. It has to start somewhere, but it didn't start soon enough. I'm trying to stay positive to this cause. However, my tendancy to see what causes it in the first place (control issues, phycologicagal issues, ect.) Has let me to beleive that men, which comprise the majority of abusers, simply are not taught the things necessary for knowing how to deal with themselves. Untill this changes the outlook on stopping abuse remains dismal.

Urge Congress to Help Save Great Cats and Rare Canids!
[link]

A much as big buisiness, rancher, ect. hates to admit it, we need our carnivores as well as our herbavores to maintian sustain a viable ecosystem. Our own prctices are what's wipeing these creatures out. The needs to change and fast.

Make Farming Friendly for the Chesapeake Bay
[link]

I live right by the bay it self. When ever I've walked own the shore of Buckroe Beach I've found myself picking up more and more of the trash that people leave behind. Arae farms are being torn up for tract housing and other realesate. There's a lot that has to be done to solve the problem. Getting rid of the agricultural run-off is good start, but it's still everyones responcibility to do everything in thier power to clean the bay. We've more power that we know.

I get a lot of these. Some of them I never get to. But it's worth checking out.

I just had to share it. Thankyou!

Recently, he obtained a whole bunch of Dashboard confessional songs. It's not half bad, though I'd enjoy the music more with out the whiny chick screeching. These his words and findings

Being the OCD guy that I am, I dutifully go online to find the lyrics; album art and other info (damn you I-tunes and your info option).

First surprise, the screechy chick is a dude.
Second surprise, Dashboard confessional is classified as Emo-Rock.
OK, maybe the second surprise isn't such a surprise considering the lyrics.

Point is, this inspired me to define what an emo is. After extensive research, these are the facts I've found:

The Emo (Dromaius novaehollandiae), is the largest teen-group native to Australia and the only extant member of the genus Dromaius. It is also the second-largest bird in the world by height, after its ratite relative, the ostrich. The soft-feathered, brown, flightless teens reach up to 2 m (6 ft 7 inches) in height.

The Emo is common over most of mainland Australia, although it avoids heavily populated areas, dense forest and arid areas. Emos can travel great distances at a fast, economical trot and, if necessary, can sprint at 50 km/h (31 mph) for some distance at a time.[1] They are opportunistically nomadic and may travel long distances to find food; they feed on a variety of plants and insects.

The Emo subspecies, The Happy Teen, that previously inhabited Tasmania became extinct following the European settlement of Australia in 1788; the distribution of the mainland subspecies has also been affected by human activities. Once common on the east coast, Emo are now uncommon; by contrast, the development of agriculture and the provision of water for stock in the interior of the continent have increased the range of the Emo in arid regions. Emos are farmed for their meat, oil and leather.

Hell, I'd be pissed if I was being farmed for my leather and oil. Maybe that's why emos are so whiny. LOLZ

Oh ya, and this is what emos look like:

First you randomly pick 10 characters from a manga/anime/game.

The list was stolen to.
1.Alucard
2.major
3.anderson
4.maxwell
5.hans
6. walter
7. pip
8. my dad (lol totally random)
9. schrodinger
10. dandyman

Then you answer the questions below by plugging in the person next to the respective number into the question. It's kind of long...

WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF...

1.Number 1 (alucard) woke you up in the middle of the night.
If I did piss myself out sheer terror first, I be wondering if my mom forgot to take that bottle of holy water with her to work, even though the likelyhood of either her forgeting it, me getting to it before Alucrd got to me, or even the count existing at all are a hell of a lot less than slim.

2. Number 2 (major) asked you to go out with him?
First remind him that weed doesn't work for everybody, assuming he's not in what he considers his right mind (if he has one at all) or ask if he's had one stine(sp?) too many. Either way, the answer would still be no.

3. Number 3 Anderson walked into the bathroom while you're showering?
Tell him not to open the curtain, and aim for the bowl.

4. Number 4 (maxwell) cooked you dinner?
Pray it wasn't poisoned after wondering what he doing ther to begin with.

5. Number 5 (hans) was lying next to you on the beach, sleeping?
Leave him be. I don't getting woken up in the middle of a nap, I doubt he'd like getting shaken unless it was importaint.

6. Number 8 (dad) awww man it skipped numbers)got into the hospital somehow?
Given that dad's in North Carolina there isn't much I can do, but call and ask how he's doing.

7. Number 9 (schro) made fun of your friends?
Like I can shut him up? You're asking a human, not a mirical worker.

8. Number 10 (dandy man) ignored you all the time?
I why should I care about that in the first place? I don't even know the guy, or any one from the list for that matter.

WHAT WOULD THEY DO UNDER THE FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES?

1. Two serial killers are hunting you down. What will Number 1 (alucard) do?
Kill all three of us.

2. You're on a vacation with Number 2 (Major) and you manage to break your leg. What does Number 2 do?
Look bemused at the suffering of another then walk off to get some for himself to eat.

3. It's your birthday. What will 3 (Anderson) give you?
A hard time.

4. You're stuck in a house that's on fire. What does Number 4 (maxwell) do?
Save his own ass and leave me to burn.

5. You're about to do something that'll make you feel extremely embarrassed. What will Number 5 (hans) do?
Nothing, if it's not any of his buissness he won't likely go out of his way.

6. You're about to marry Number 10. (dandy man D What's Number 6's (Walter's) reaction?
Walter could care less. Dandy Man would likely stake himself or (more likely) me.

7. You got dumped by someone. How will Number 7 (pip) cheer you up?
He doesn't.

8. You're angry about it afterwards, how does Number 8 (dad) calm you down?
He doesn't.

9. You compete in some tournament. How does Number 9 (Schro) support you?
He won't.

10. You can't stop laughing. What will Number 10 (dandyman) do?
Slit my throught of the equivilant

RELATIONSHIP PART

1. Number 1 (Alucard) is all you've ever dreamed of.
If I dremt of dying at the hands of a vampire. Other wise no.

2. Number 2 (major) tells you about his/her deeply hidden love for Number 9 (Schro). Your reaction?
Have him put on the sex offender registery. I don't see this guy as being capable of love.

3. You're dating Number 3 (Anderson) and introduce him to your parents. Will they get along?
My mom would be wounder if he should even be a preist if he's dating.

4. Number 4 (maxwell loves Number 9 (schro) as well. What does that mean?
God help us.

5. Number 6 (Walter) appears to be a player, he breaks many hearts. What do you do?
There's nothing I can do, but warn others.

6. You had a haircut and Number 7 (Pip) can't stop looking at you. What goes on in your mind?
Take a pcture it'll last longer.

7. Number 8 (dad) thinks he'll never get a boyfriend. What will you tell him?
That I cound care less.

8. Number 9 (schro) is too shy to face you and confesses their love by sending you an e-mail. Now what?
Reply: You should really lay off the catnip.

FRIENDSHIP PART

1. Could Number 1 (alucard) and Number 6 (walter) be soul mates?
I honestly don't know.

2. Would Number 2 (major)...

This is some sort of chain. I'm no good with these, but I'm posting it anyway.

Why do boys fall in love with girls???

(This was written by a guy)

Don't break this; it's so sweet!

1. They will always smell good even if it's just shampoo.
2. The way their heads always find the right spot on our shoulder.
3. How cute they look when they sleep.
4. The ease in which they fit into our arms .
5. The way they kiss you and all of a sudden everything is right in the world.
6. How cute they are when they eat.
7. The way they take hours to get dressed but in the end it makes it all worth while.
8. Because they are always warm even when its minus 30 outside.
9. The way they look good no matter what they wear.
10. The way they fish for compliments even though you both know that you think she's the most beautiful girl on this earth.
11. How cute they are when they argue.
12. The way her hand always finds yours.
13. The way they smile.
14. The way you feel when you see their name on the call ID after you just had a big fight.
15. The way she says "lets not fight anymore" even though you know that an hour later....
16. The way that they kiss after you have had a fight.
17. The way they kiss you when you say "I love you".
18. Actually...Just the way they kiss you...
19. The way they fall into your arms when they cry.
20. Then the way they apologize for crying over something that silly.
21. The way they hit you and expect it to hurt.
22. Then the way they apologize when it does hurt (even though we don't admit it).
23. The way they say "I miss you".
24. The way you miss them.
25. The way their tears make you want to change the world so that it doesn't hurt her anymore...

Yet regardless if you love them, hate them, wish they would die or know that you would die without them it matters not. Because once in your life, whatever they were to the world they become everything to you. When you look them in the eyes, traveling to the depths of their souls and you say a million things without trace of a sound, you know that your own life is inevitable consumed within the rhythmic beatings of her very heart. We love them for a million reasons, no paper would do it justice. It is a thing not of the mind but of the heart.
A feeling.
Only felt.

This chain started in 2002.

It is a love chain letter.

In an hour you are supposed to repost this.

Now here comes the fun part.

You then say the name of the person you like or love and then the person will say "I love you," or "Will you go out with me?" NO JOKE!!!!!

NOW THE CONSEQUENCES!!!!!

The consequences are:

If you break the chain letter, you will have bad luck in future
relationships.

If you don't break the chain, then you will be a happy camper!!!

Congratulations!!

You have been chosen to participate in the LONGEST and the LUCKIEST chain
letter on the internet.

Once you read this letter, you must IMMEDIATELY (meaning within the hour)
post it with the title "Why do boys fall in love with girls????

I may consider submiting art to be sold as prints. We could use the money, but when the largest print yields a royalty of only eight and some change a peice and very little buyers comming to dA for art O'm not sure it's worh giving up your rights to your work. If anyone can show me someone who's doing well in sales here I might consider making peices to sell.

She want to her and is at a loss as to how. Bags of hope. It's easy all you do is make pictures of ornate bags of any style or medium you want, fill them wiht hope, love, compassion, and words of wisdom. Then spam any and all government officials as a way of reminding them as to what there roles are as leaders, or force about some necessay change. Since it was 's idea originaly I'll use his first Bags of hope as an example. [link] Do be orignal in the designs.
And now a rant inspiered by [link] called Gaia's Tears, a Desperate Plee.

"I've known rivers.... My soul has grown deep like the rivers." From the rivers, from the Tiber to the Euphrates to the nole and the mighty Amizon our souls are born from the rivers. I look opon these words and the works of Hughes and think of how far we strayed from the rivers. I watch in pain as we poison the oceans that rest our spirits whilst we wait for rebirth. As we suffocate ourselves is the smoke of what we call progress. I look at Langston's words and think of just how far back we've fallen. Hating eachother in this country whilst trying to make a democracy in another. The fire that runs in the blood of our veins being deminished with each passing second as we succum to our own inventions. I watch in agony as we are forced to let fear engulf us, to swallow us whole as we wither in self made bindings. Slowly we are dying at or own hands, butstill we pray to whatever deity who will listen to save us. How can we expect salvation from what we broyght unto ourselves? Why is it that we can't see that we have to dig ourselves out of this mass suicide? It can be done, but the collective will to o so is fading. We cannot afford to sit and watch as we slowly die in agony. We must act, we must stand and fight! We must fight against what we hath wrought in order for not only oursevles, but for this world to carry on! The time is now to estroy our guns and our hatred, and come together as a whole, and save the world from our ignorance and fear! Rise up my brothers and sisters world wide! Arise an awaken to this new dawn and see the destruction that we've made! We can stand up to heal this broken world and make it sustanable once more! I implore you to abandon your despsal of eachother and this Earth and help me, and all of us in saving it! Please, it;s not too late! There are still things that even the poorest of us can still do! All action toward this cause count! Please act before it is too late and give Gaia anthoer chance to breathe so that her tears may of joy once more, and that we may be truly free once agian. Please.

As I roam through the deviantART to find people to feture in my journal project I find I've been hitting the language quite frequenlty. I know it's to be expected online (duh), never the less I am in search of translation, and second language learning software so I can transalate the meat of my project to post (with the deviants permition) thier words of wisdom on the U.S. and the World in general. Any assistance that you can provide in the matter is most appretiated. I will continue the project ASAP. Also, there is a new tagging game out, tag and gift. I've tagged by this game, and have had difficulty in chosing the random deviants to tag, so the first five people to comment will be the ones tagged and gifted. In turn those people (idealy) will tag and gift five other random (or as random as humanity can manage) deviants, and the game cycle will start again with different taggers.

First of all, I thank you all for your comments and support. You've been very kind. However I noticed that a number of people only saw half of the objective, to show the wolds view of the United States. The second was to show the view of the rest of the worlds view of the world in general. The reson for this is because the media in the U.S. (as well as in other countries I'm sure) is very one sided. Speaking of the media, this next entry is coutisy of and is on his views on cencorship in his native Malaysia.

Ahh... In that case I have a few thought about the country I live in, Malaysia.
Now don't get me wrong, it's a pleasent little patch o' peninsular, but its cencorship laws are VERY irritating, expecially cause the goverment claims to have a non-big brother stand on things.

We actually have a "black list" of books that aren't allowed into the country. Even worse is that this is only a guide line, customs officers may be more zeoleous on a case to case basis, not allowing entry to books in an inconsistent manner.

Only recently has the goverment lightened up about what a "good" Malaysian can or cannot post in a blog. However, Internal Security is always waiting to bust asses on the grounds of offensive views, sedition, or attempt to enflame/ cause riots.
Even worse is that Internal Security is not a body onto themselves, so they're influenced by certain ruling parties, and have the power to bring bad seeds a.k.a left wing rivals to "justice".
Then again, the left wing party here in Malaysia are a largely disorganized bunch of quacks that staying out of the govermant, but I digress.

If I'm not mistaken, Malaysia is rated damned poorly in terms of freedom of press. This is again cause Goverment literaly owns the papers. The important ones at least, you'll be surprised that we only have a few main stream rags, while the rest are just tabloid trash.
In a nut shell, big brother is alive and well over here. How's things going in America, censorship-wise

If you'd like to give your own answer to this question feel free to send him a note, or answer his comments. (we're on each other's watch lists)

One of the things I love about dA is the oppertunity to meet people and here view points I might never have know exsted. I'm staring a new journal project where I'm collecting view and opinions of the U.S. and the world in general. The whole point to this is to show that not all the world beleves America is the shit. Most people here in the U.S. are desidely blind to this. These are the words of fellow deviants that I've found on my many ventures into the galleries. Comments are welcome, but please be polite in expressing your opinion. The first entery is courtisy of 's

Filipinas Kong Mahal (Philippines, My Love)
a social commentary

Colonial mentality has taken the best from many Filipinos.
Of course, many will deny it. We'll blame the government, God, karma, luck, poverty, their neighbor, our dog, our great great great grandparents' faults --- just about anything or anyone we can put the blame on. We would never admit to ourselves -even just a little that colonial mentality has devoured us and so we look for greener pasture. Statistics show and economists say that there's no hope for our country. And we're dumb enough to believe it.

We turn to America, our so-called "promise land." Where we end up wiping their asses - literally and figuratively. I don't hate America and there's nothing wrong with a job like this but I've seen great people who could be somebody, if given the chance, yet left the country. Of course there's always the easy way out to greener pasture and the hard perilous journey to do something for the good of the country.

When they leave, they'll find a job and would be able to provide for their family. Give them a bright future, and who knows --- maybe bring them to the promise land. And then what? What happens to the homeland?

Maybe I'm wrong about this. After all, it's just one opinion. Could I honestly believe that I can change this country just by myself? Maybe not, but with others yes. What if there's never really hope for the Philippines and maybe I'm just fooling myself. Well at least my conscience is clear. I'd rather suffer and die in this godforsaken country and do something to help her than knowing that I left it and did nothing about it.
--- what the hell am I saying? I would probably fall victim to this mentality sooner or later.
Before I would like my burgers well done, and be thankful for Pilgrims, I would want to savor my homeland. All that is good and bad about her. Because I know she would lose me and many others.

During Christmas as I walk down the streets of New York, or sitting by the fireplace with my family, I would forget the parols, the simbanggabi, the noche buena, that I used to love and I would say to myself God bless America. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else but here... ?

Who knew that the great Filipino dream is to be American? Of course, American products are better than local products because it comes from America and therefore it is better.

This was originally a comment "Letter to Myself" [link] it got a little long winded but it has some good points in it so I 'm posting it here as well.

I would be able to right a letter like this with out bursting into tears. In school I was the one nearly everyone look down opon. Out side of my really cool engilsh teacher, no one realy bothered with showing me any comon coutisy unless I was crying (a rarity) or they were trying to do something to show me their utter despisal of me. In middle school a rumor started that someone was going to make a repeat performance of Columbine. The staff tried to defuse the rumors, but told everyone to keep a look out for people who've been isolated. The result, all heads turned to my direction. Not even thinking as to why I was so isolated, but knowing full well that me being so would make me the perfect scape goat for the rumor. Ignorance is spread to far and wide here for my liking. After 9/11 I was the only one in class to question why firefighters and police were called heros when they were just doing what they were getting payed to do. For some reason it didn't bother me at all that so many of these service men and women had died. The way saw it (and still do see it) was that they new that there was a chance that they might not be coming back from any of there assinements. they knew the dangers when they signed the dotted line. It never occured to anyone here that if they were supposed to be heroes now, why weren't heroes then? The mass media does this to people. I will never see these men and women as heroes. Just average people who are trying to carve some kind of life out for them sevles.
