today was shitty. not the worst day ever, mind you. just shitty. shitty enough to make you complain but when you hear yourself complaining you feel like an asshole. Woke up at 6 am to my sister and her devil spawn friend back from pretentious-rich-kid-school coming home and running about trying to get jordan ready for work. I hate that kid. Jordan's friend, not jordan...well sometimes jordan. later I was playing FF4 and once I got Rosa to level 40 I saved and quit and wandered upstairs only to have Margaret steal my DS and start playing. I didn't mind. until she saved over my game. then I cried and kicked things. shortly after we went to my aunt and uncle's house where my uncle was a royal pain in the ass. Nia and I play phone and he yells a her for playing with the cordless phone. He spies what he thinks is a crumb on the carpet and chews out Zach for eating brownies in the living room (which he wasn't) only to find out it was just a fuzzy. Later he yelled at Margaret for pulling Nia off me while she tried to shove a bike reflector down my shirt saying, "put it in your pocket!" At one point he came in and yelled at people for messing with the TV because it wasn't on football anymore. I told him the game was over, it's a movie now. "Why's it all fuzzy then huh?!" Jordan had to practically shout, "That's just the way this movie starts."

Several agonizingly awkward hours later we FINALLY went home and I grabbed a bottle of Ramune and went to open it at my computer and Margaret jumped in shouting "OOH! Let me! Let me!" then slams her hand down on the marble making it spray everywhere, when I told her to get me a rag she just said, "you do it. it's your soda." lastly on my way upstairs I stepped in dog shit.

How was your thanksgiving?

Edit: also my keyboard is still broken, all small yappy dogs should be shot, and pecan pie is the shit.

so last night I dreamed that I was Yachiru from Bleach. You know, the annoying little pink haired one that hangs all over Kenpachi? yeah. Well I was flying around as her and there were all these humans around. Of course no one could see me because I was a soul reaper and humans can't see them. Well there was this pregnant woman and she was going into labor so I decided t fly her to the hospital but I couldn't lift her so I got a luck dragon from the never ending story to fly her to the hospital. Yeah. Falcor the Luck Dragon carrying a pink haired Shinigami and a pregnant woman over the city to the hospital. oh! Also, the woman was eating a sub sandwich so I grabbed it and started eating it while we were flying. Well after we got to the hospital I started wandering around and I saw Renji and Shuuhei and they had found a whole litter of kittens and we all started playing with them. I named one Dave.

Sunday: left for Colorado at 8:00 am dad drove to the middle of kansas and then I drove 300 miles to the very edge of Colorado where we met a HUGE storm with driving rain hail and 60mph winds where I completely freaked out for quite a while. We actually had to stop under an overpass and wait it out so we wouldn't get blown off the road. After the storm we made it to Estes Park around midnight where everyone promptly collapsed into bed.

Monday: didn't do much. Went shopping a little and cooked dinner

Tuesday: Drove up Trail Ridge Road (the scenic route through the mountains) and stopped a billion times to take pictures of the view and the wild life. We made it up to the continental divide and went bought souvenirs at the Alpine Shop. I got sick from the altitude.

Wednesday: Went shopping again. I got a lovely little pocket watch necklace and Cousin Elizabeth and her husband Josh came to visit from Denver

Thursday: Finally got to do some hiking since the weather had been rainy all week. Mom, Margaret Madelyn, Grandma and I all hiked up to Dream lake...Except I almost fainted and had to stop halfway at Nymph lake. Madelyn sat with me while they all went on, and I sketched the lake.

Friday: the girls and I were too tired to hike so we stayed at the cabin while the others hiked to some waterfall whose name I don't know how to spell. Robin and Charley arrived and stayed the night with us

Saturday: the girls hiked to Alberta Falls while Dad Grandpa and Charley went fly fishing.

Sunday: Drove up trail ridge road again and took more pictures.

Monday: uneventful, albeit, very windy, drive home. Arrived in town at 1:30 am and plopped int bed.

Jordan woke me up super early this morning to give me present. It's a kitty! He is SO cute! a grey tabby with bright silver eyes. He has white markings around his eyes so it looks like he's wearing glasses. However...Sketch doesn't like him at all and I don't really have the means to care for another cat right now, so I'm forced to take him to the shelter. but here's the kicker--He went down the air conditioning vent (we're in the process of redoing our kitchen and haven't gotten new ones yet) and we have no idea how to get him out.

oh and ignore the emoticon up there...it ought to be something along the lines of happy+worried but I couldn't get it to change.

*edit: I managed to get the kitten out of the vent. I put some chicken down and waited until he came up to it and then grabbed his collar. Thank God Jordan bought one or else it would have been impossible to get him out.

I thought about naming him Ishida because of his glasses markings but he's way too loud to be Ishida...so I think I'll go with Quincy. How's that sound?

*edit 2!: so this morning I took Quincy to the humane society in CoMo (and pretended to be my aunt since they only take animals from people who live in columbia) I'm praying that he will find a safe and loving home, hopefully with children so that he'll have someone to play with.

ok now that THAT's out of the way...
Even though it's summer I find that I've still got a lot of stuff to worry about...I have a job interview next week which I'm super nervous about, but also excited because this would mean a FULL TIME job for the summer. It would be a great job with very good pay. I'm also going back to the Burg on Wednesday to get all my art stuff...that is, provided there's someone there to let me in. There should be considering that summer school has probably started by now but I'm going to call just to make sure. I have a "commission" pending as well, but I'm not getting paid for it. It's for a friend who lives in my dorm. He asked me to draw him and his friend Nicole as Soul Reapers with a Hollow in the back ground but I keep putting it off because I never feel like drawing from pictures. I'll get it done eventually. Lastly I need to make a trip to CoMo to get some Yude Azuki for my peach buns. Any one want to come with?

oh yeah!! Eddie, the old man dog, is gone!! he's the one I'm sure you all heard wouldn't stop following me. He barked at every little thing and he's not the sharpest knife in the block. Plus Sketch hates him so I couldn't go any where near my poor kitty with out risking a fight between the two. Well, my Aunt and Uncle and Ashley got back from Arizona yesterday and picked him up so I don't have to deal with him any more.

Maybe this is just me not liking small dogs very much.

Also, my house was a total zoo today. (and still is to a certain extent) Jordan's not-boyfriend Chris's duck was in the bathtub again because Chris's truck was...incinerated...and that's where the duck lived. My cousin's dog Eddie is also here. He is cranky and old and not at all fun! He keeps following me around which is completely awkward because I don't like him at all. Eddie also won't leave my cat alone, and barks at every little thing.

Finally we are currently remodeling the house (sort-of) and all the carpet is gone upstairs. Everything that was on the bookshelves and in cabinets in the living room and the kitchen is now down here in the basement and in my sort-of room. You can't get to anything with out climbing over boxes of knick-knacks and books and I haven't been able to unpack completely because there's just too much crap everywhere to be putting MORE crap everywhere. There's a ladder in the foyer that you have to walk under every time you come inside and it's very unlucky and in the way of everything. the bright side is that it will be (mostly) back to normal in about 3 weeks when we get the new flooring in, and finish up painting the walls.

the US government is trying to royally screw each and every one of its artists, writers, photographers, musicians, animators, and every other type of creator out there. With the Orphaned Works bill they will FORCE every person to register every single sketch, photo, artwork etc. with a FEE for each one. They claim that once you create something that it is automatically orphaned and that anyone can use it. they are LEGALIZING THEFT. Not only that but the works that you have already registered have a god chance f being orphaned any way. Once you register them in a database any person who does a search on that database comes up with results that are 99% accurate. What abut the other 1%? those are then forfeit. Orphaned. For every million searches 10,000 works are orphaned, and the statistically the same 10,000 cannot be missed every time. plus if you happen to register works on more than one database then your work could be found on one and orphaned on another.

let me do the math here: I do on average 15 works of art a week (sketches and the like) and at that rate I would 720 works a year. Charging a $5 fee for every work would put me out almost $4000

that's well over HALF what I pay for a semester in college. not to mention art supplies and books and everything else that comes with college.

please PLEASE contact your state reps and senators. Write letters, make calls. DO NOT LET THIS GET PASSED!!]/END IGNORING]


upon receiving further information I have found that not only if this a grossly misunderstood bill but it doesn't even actually exist any more. it was brought up in 2006 and shot down right then, and has never resurfaced. so last night MArk and I went bowling at the union and thtwas really fun. I haven't been bowling in ages because Westgate has league bowling at every given time except monday at like...9am. But anyway, Mark's a dork and has his own bowling balls and shoes (I had to insert 'bowling' into the sentence lest I sound like a pervert) so he totally kicked my ass. At least I didn't throw 9 gutterballs in a row like I did one time at Tantara. I was getting a smoothie in between games at one point and the girl behind the counter was someone I had met at Battle Club. She asked why I hadn't been coming and I said that I had class at the time. Then she asked (more quietly) if Mark and I were dating and I just sort of laughed and said no, we weren't. She like everone else I have met here stated that Mark and I would make a cute couple, and I replied, "No we would make a very awkward, I'm-dating-the-guy-who-lives-across-the-hall-from-me couple."

I haven't been sleeping well lately. For one thing my suitemates have a tendancy to watch movies/play games/shower any where from 1 am to 4 am, and also I've been having some really stange dreams lately. Like last night I dreamed that I was pregnant ans gave birth to a child whom I named Jericho. but when he was born he was a demon...He had red eyes, 6 legs, large ears and bright silver horns, and he was covered in white fur. But I loved him just the same and everyone was happy for me. near the end of the dream Jericho finally took human form and he was really beautiful...Long white hair and deep red eyes...

haha my cat looks so cute with his little tie! and I can't wait to get back to my dorm dress up my snow leopard with the new clothes I got from build-a-bear. There's a kimono and a Cheongsam (which is a traditional Chinese dress; and don't think I'm clever for knowing what it's called, it was written on the tag.)

(3 hours later) oh hey! I never finished this...I got distracted.

Well, anyway, Kayla tagged me kind of. So here's 8 things about me.

1. I'm a total packrat. I still have crap that I found in the closet from like ...8th grade. I swear to God I'll never get rid of anything.

2. I hate sticky things. I don't even like eating oranges because my fingers get sticky, and I especially don't like eating stuff with melty icing on top because it makes everything sticky and gross...Even though I really like oranges and icing.

3. I have never owned a gaming system of any kind. Not even a gameboy. I am deprived.

4. I am, admittedly, overly obsessed with Mythbusters, Cheez-its and recently Arizona Plum Tea.

5. I'm not superstitious, I'm just neurotic. I try not to step on cracks and I always throw salt over my shoulder when it spills, even though I don't believe that either are bad luck.

6. My standing on crop circles: Total Bunk. It's just a bunch of college students playing pranks. Also, aliens DID NOT help the Egyptians/Babylonians/Easter Island People/what have you. They were just a lot smarter than previously expected. Especially the Egyptians.

7. I hate wearing shoes and/or socks.

8. I am always afraid of offending people. When I'm in the dorms I won't walk into someone's room unless they tell me to,(Except for Mark) same with sitting down. And I won't cuss in a conversation unless someone else does too. etc.

ok.. 6? weird things about myself...

1. When I'm walking outside I hate stepping on the cracks in the side walk, and sometimes I even count my steps in between the cracks. When I'm in the cafeteria I only walk on the white tiles, avoiding all the colored ones.

2. I bite my nails. There's really nothing else to this one. It's a bad habit and I need to stop.

3. I am the biggest packrat in the world. I keep everything, from old school papers to feathers to bottle caps and scraps of fabric, boxes, pretty wrappers, tiny pathetic doodles...you get the point...

4. I don't really know what I'm going to say until after I've said it. Words just kinda...jump out of their own accord and most of the time leave me looking like an idiot.

5. People make me tired. I can't be around people for a long period of time because I get tired of people social rather quickly. Of course the time it takes for me to get tired of a person is greatly extended if I happen to like that person a lot, but the people around here tire me out very quickly and I just want to be alone and read my book or draw or something.

6. I've never had a real boy friend/girl friend. I kinda feel the need for a little companionship but it just seems like a big hassle.

I would be happier if I didn't have all 8am classes. It sucks even more because I have to work every thursday at 3am so on wednesday nights I get about 3-4 hours of sleep tops. I really like my Figure Construction class. It's fun!

oh!! I ran through the fountain yesterday!! FINALLY!! I've wanted to do that for over a year!

Wednesday: So things started off good, I woke up on time and ran errands and then had plenty of time left before Kaitlin came to pick me up. But they were a little late because Seth slept in but no big deal. We got the the airport on time and checked in with plenty of time to spare. While we were waiting to board they said that they had a minor maintenance problem and it would take up to a little bit to fix, and then they ran a diagnostic on the plane and said that the flight was cancelled because of maintenance problems. So we got to sit in the terminal for 9 1/2 hours and bitch about stuff. Luckily Anthony has a cousin that lives up there and we stayed the night with him.

Thursday: We also managed to get our flight transferred to thursday and got off the ground at 2:30 without a hitch. I liked takeoff, that was fun, but since the flight was unusually turbulent it made me sick. So landing was a stuggle not to throw up. We had a connecting flight in Phoenix (which was gorgeous by the way) and we got there in time too. we got into LA and all 8 of us piled into Mr. Hughes' truck and tried to to pre-register but it was closed.

Friday: Next day we got up at 4:00 to get ready and got stand in line and then ended up missing our train by 3 seconds, so when we got there the line was already horrendously long. But we managed to jump in with two girls cosplaying Naruto and Sasuke. Most of friday was spent just wandering around and checking stuff out. The three of us got stopped every ten feet so people could take our picture.

Satruday: we didn't go in costume because it was so hot. I went to Artists alley and fawned over all the pretty things. We were only there for a few hours because we didn't even get up until like 10:30 or so. Since it was my birthday Kaitlin and JR bought me things and then we went to IHOP for dinner at like 10:30. We had a room at the days inn and since there were 8 people staying in one room JR ended up sleeping in the bed of the truck. Anthony, Vance and Seth hung from the rafters and made fools of themselves.

Sunday: in costume again. Kaitlin and I wandered off with out our Vash and people actually recognized us! I bought Yaoi that day and some creepy guy accosted me. we got a room at the Hilton that night (much better than the Days Inn) and Jr, Kaitlin and I infiltrated the pool. Marcille is far too nice.

Monday: everyone wanted to do different stuff so Seth, Vance and Anthony went back to the con while JR and Kaitlin went swimming. Marcille, Cole and I went to lunch at the Park Pantry which was AMAZING!! I had smoked salmon and eggs and hash browns and french toast. all homemade. After eating I sat outside a drew for a while. I'll post the pictures I drew while I was out there later. when we got back to hotel our driver was there waiting for us and we got to the airport around 3:00. we checked in and got on our flight which was MUCH better than the first one. I hardly felt sick at all! We touched town in St. Louis at 11:45 and got back to JC around 2:30 at which point I was stumbling to find the bed.

I ended up with about $100 more than I expected for spending money so that's good. Now I just have to go to the store to pick up a few things, the library to drop off a few things and the bank to get my monies! I'm really anxious about flying. Not really the actual FLYING but rather the getting on and off the plane in one piece bit. I'm so scared that I'm going to get lost or that my luggage won't catch up to me or that something bad will happen...I don't know, just wish me luck!

I'll be back on the 3rd of July. Just in time to see Transformers!

But seriously every time anyone in the house does the tiniest little thing to tip my mom off she comes down and rants about it to me! Do I LOOK like your psychiatrist? I think not!

and another thing! Jordan got busted about a month ago for having a minor in posession and so her punishment from mom was SUPPOSED to be no computer (period), no being out past 10, only one movie a week, one hour of tv a day, and a few other little things. And yet Jordan is on the computer almost as much as I am everyday, she lazes about all day, and on top of that she has a new boyfriend that she goes out with at all hours of the day and night. What the hell is this?! If I had done something like that I would be on total lockdown! not only would I have computer taken away but also my phone, the tv, my car and probably my books and library card. This is just ridiculous.

Next up is Helias' play: Big. (yes the Tom Hanks movie, and yes they made it into a musical.) I saw that on Saturday. It was really good, better than I expected. Peter Goldschmidt played Josh (Tom Hanks) and he was great. I thought the music was going to be really cheesy and dumb but it turned out to be just slightly cheesy.

ok while I'm typing this I might as well say a few random quirks I've noticed about myself recently:

1. in the shower when I'm washing my hair I always rinse the soap off my hands before I rinse out my hair. even though it's not neccessary.

2. I subconsoiusly avoid stepping on the cracks in the sidewalk.

There was/is a threat for tornadoes tonight. Two storms have already passed and there's at least one more coming. Tornadoes scare the shit out of me, so after everyone left the bomb shelter I laid on my bed and cried like a 2 year old. I called my mom and asked how the weather was down there and apparently it's not doing much.

some bitch wrote "MY VAGINA IS BLEEDING!" on my chalk board while I was at dinner.
I took the chalk privelages away about 3 months ago because some sick fuck thought it'd be absolutely hilarious to write stuff like "Anime Sucks balls" and draw penises and things like that. I'm pretty sure it was Mike. I wrote "I don't bash your shit, why do you need to bash mine?" and it stayed there for a good month after I took the chalk back into my room.

Recently I put the chalk back out and started writing the date, holiday and quote of the day. I thought it'd be a little more interesting than leaving my board blank all the time. I though maybe, just maybe, the children on my floor had gotten over the grade school impulse to write shit on my board. I don't care if it's an announcement or if someone just wants to draw something decent. That's fine. But when people erase everything and write vulgar things on my board then I get pissed.

I think the only people on my floor who don't turn into dunken raving idiots after 5 o'clock on thursday are Mark and I.

AARGH! It's so frustrating!! I fucking hate fifth floor!!

A lot of people don't realize that Hiyami naturally has red eyes. Because in two out of...I guess four or five pictures I've posted of him his eyes are closed.

okay I'll start with Naota. Naota was born to a demon mother and human father. So he's only half Cat Demon. He'll be 7,027 on May 27 of next year. Meaning he was born in 1320. Skip ahead a little, He works as an assasin through his childhood and around 1345 his mother was killed by his father. Naota avenged her by murdering his father. The tooth he wears on his necklace is his mother's fang. Moving on...He lives on the borderlands between Faerie and Earth and falls in love with an ice mage named Shigure. Shigure has prolonged life but is not immortal as Naota is. They live together from about 1450 to 1700 when Shigure was killed by a witch hunter from France. Naota, having made a promise to Shigure, did not take revenge on her. He faded in about out of society as people became less and less tolerant for beings from Faerie. In 1912 he moved to the only city left that had a gate into Faerie. He's lived there ever since.

Now Hiaymi: Hiaymi was born in Faerie in 1895 to a D'ni father and Aryan mother (Aryans have elemental powers, Hiyami's mother was a fire sorceress) Both his parents were very loving but they both died in the fall of D'ni when Hiaymi was 12. During the fall Hiyami was injured rendering him nearly blind in his right eye which is why he's always got his hair in his face. Hiaymi gained little of his mother's power but his father taught him to Write in D'ni before he died. Most of what he gained from his mother was the ability to create small ammounts of fire at will and his bright red eyes. Hiaymi, having access to only six Blank Books has only created six worlds. (the ink, pens, and books used to write worlds all must be specially made and Hiaymi can't do it. He can only Write.) in 1923 Hiaymi met Naota in the Borderlands. Being half D'ni Hiaymi will live for 600 years at least. Hiaymi works as a High School literature teacher, and Naota works in a music store and gives lessons on piano, flute and voice.

This morning I got up thinking I was going to go down to the Art Center and grab my stuff and finish up my midterm assignment for drawing, but when I got to my locker I noticed something amiss. There was another boy besides my roommate sharing the locker with us. He didn't have much stuff in there to begin with but I noticed this morning that it was all gone. I grabbed my drawing board and charcoals and then thought I should sort through my drawings and get all the finished pieces together with their thumbnail drawings. It took me until then to realize that not only was this mysterious boy's stuff missing but all my drawings were too! All of my art! He took it. MY artwork that I spent hours on was just stolen right from under my nose!

I was pretty close to tears when I told miss Annie about it. Although she didn't seem angry with me and she postponed my midterm until at least tuesday.

Let's just pray I can get them back.

PARKING TICKETS.

$25 a-piece. That's $50 I could be using to pay for Gas. Or art supplies. and that's if I have them paid by the 11th after that they're doubled.

on the ticket it said the violation was that I didn't have a valid permit. I DO have a permit! and it says I can park anywhere! the space I parked in was "UCC parking only" and I live in UCC!! the only spots they say you CAN'T park in are service vehicle spots and visitor spots and the UCC spots are neither. Hello! I FUCKING LIVE THERE!!! Plus, they gave me two! even though the other one was still there and I hadn't been out to my car until 5 days after they gave me them. I'm pretty damn close to physically assaulting someone. Like with a vey large blunt object. Multiple times.

I went to appeal them today and you know what the bitch at the front desk made me do?! "here fill out a form for each one while I sit here and draw my boyfriend's name with a sharpie" so I stand there for half an hour and write an entire essay for each one nearly breaking her pen when I finished.

ARGH!! Give me something to DESTROY!!! like the police chief's car. Can I just like, take a baseball bat to it? and then set it on fire?

AND! the gas station didn't have the kind of Sobe I drink, it was really hot today, I over slept, I'm out of laundry money, and every one on my floor thinks I'm certifiably insane! (even more so than people usually do.)

I wanna go home.

He's this blatantly gay guy who gets his kicks by making the judges uneasy. He comes on stage in these absolutely outrageous costumes with feathers and sequins and black gogo boots. This time it was twirling hula hoops and humping the air.
