The arms are made up of a LOT of very tiny parts.  It was SUCH a pain in the ass to get them to print properly.  Teeny tiny parts are not easy!  It was very frustrating until I got a good system down.  I also had problems with curling, and when you're already working at such a small scale, that makes it that much more difficult.

And I also finished the straps in the back of the shoulder pauldrons, so she can actually wear them now.

I think I want to try and add in something that will push the 2nd pieces of each shoulder pauldron (the part that dangles down over the upper-arms) so that they're held out a bit, instead of just hanging down like they are now.  Otherwise, it's turning out pretty good.  She can move around and they don't appear to be overly ready to just fall off.  :)

This evening I printed the center chest accessories that go between the shoulder pads, and then I painted them all.

Also did a second coat on the shoulder pads.

And I actually did this yesterday.  Obviously, it's not intended to go on my head in the end, but at the time my daughter was already in bed, so I couldn't put it on her head just then.  It's got a clip along the back that can go into any point in the chain so it's length adjustable.

Last year's costumes were cheap cop-outs though.  Kaya got the Princess Peach store-bought costume that is, quite frankly, a piece of shit.  It's awful, and it was awful on her.  It didn't fit right at all, the material is awful and cheap, and it only barely looks like Peach's dress.

It was just a test file that came on the SD card because we were too impatient to convert a model of our own.  lol.

Update again!

We did our first test with the 'duel extruders' - meaning using two colored plastics at the same time, to make a single object.  We need to calibrate the black better, but the test was a general success.  And I actually made this model.  It was a surprising pain in the ass, considering it's just a cylinder. lol.  But the two colors are separate meshes that are both airtight, so I had to have the 'pixels' literally modeled in.
