I'VE DONE IT!

Sorry for the caps lock above but I am happy. I've finaly managed to make a good peyote band. It's not as tight and pretty as it should be yet but still I am pleased with it.

Yesterday I ordered myself a couple of books. One I needed for a project the other one seemed handy.

I ordered myself a book on celtic knots in jewelry. I want to use the knots to make 4 bracelets. For the 4 people that have been my scout leaders this year. Because I am leaving the group(I am going to an higher group). Even though I will see them more personal then, I still decided that they deserved a gift. And I figured why not bring my two favorite hobbie's together. Thus I decided to make knoted bracelets. I didn't want to use ordinary knots and I thought of the celtic knots that are commonly used in jewelry. I used google on the knots but the most how to's were about drawing them, I really want to knot them. I am going to personalise the bracelets with charms and pendants and colours.

The other book is an english book on working with wire, from the basic stuff to the more complex stuff. I figured I'd buy it for when I really jump into wirewrapping

I just finaly finished one of my jewelry projects that had been staring me in the face for two months on a row. Originaly I only wanted to make a necklace, but now It turned around and I made an entire set of it. So now it's an necklace with matching bracelet and earrings. Will put pics up if I can make decent ones. Now to finish the other ones I guess I have another full set waiting to be finished, that one is nearly finished, the necklace is all that is left to finish.

On a other note I am considering uploading the huge picture of me in costume to the costume section, but I kind of want to get convinced to do it, not entirely shure, tell me what you think?

And other news I have been busy with a drawing as well lately, who knows sometime soon you might get to enjoy one of my crappy drawings as well.

That's a question I am found asking myself a lot lately. I am procastinating everything I can. Doing schoolwork? Nah I'll do it tomorrow. Finally finishing those three jewelry/craft projects that have been laying around for weeks/some for months already, nope maybe some other time.

While schoolwork is important and I have some catching up to do I can't get myself to work. And when I try to start I get distracted by other things the fact that I am working on the pc doesn't help either.

And the subject of jewelry projects is an whole other story. While I do have an piece that is time restricted(I am making it as some one's birthday present.) and it realy is nearly finished I can't seem to get the urge to pick up my beads and finish it.

And for what? Nothing really all I do is mess around with the internet or I'm playing a game.

Hooray I can finaly proudly anounce that I have finished one part of my costume again, creating it goes slow even though I only had four things to do. It's two down two to go now.

Because last night I finished my "spellbook" The only things left to do is finaly getting my lazy ass behind the sewing machine again to put my cloak together and I have to do the last things on my circlet with which I am about to start on the leaves.

So I guess/hope complete costume soon to be seen here.

So it seems that I won't be doing much when it comes to creating and crafting for some time. Which is a pity because I was starting to make some progress with the circlet. I have quitte some ideas for jewelry pieces as well. But I need both my hands to do something. In case you are wondering what I am blabering on about. This afternoon it was bad wheater, wet snow and hail. I was heading home on my bike when I have two other cyclists coming my way. One passed me, but the other one who was closest to me didn't see me and so her steering wheel hits my left hand. She fell and I stood still being somewhat shocked(I thought she had seen me and I was already as much on the right as I could, I was expecting her to move a bit to the left.) She was okay though stood up brushed her pants off, got back up her bike again and got on her way again. I was left standing with pain in two of my fingers, my middle finger is missing a scrap of flesh and my entire left hand is a bit bruised. I'm letting it rest and so I type with one hand. I got to be thankfull that it isn't my right hand that she hit, because then I couldn't be doing anything(I am righthanded)

Yesterday I finaly started working on my own remake of Galadriels circlet. I tried to braid some steelwire together which didn't work out the way I wanted it to. I threw the wires away and got back to my first chosen material thin silver coloured ironthread, which was luckily much easier to braid with. But that braid ended up being to short. Being tired of the project I decided to take my sore hands and bad mood(I was still somewhat angry at the steelthread, which is stupid because I should have know that stealthread is hard to bend and especialy when it is used to being in a circle shape that you won't get it straight again that easy) to bed.

This morning I have decided to use the short braid anyway and made the litle front loop. I'm thinking of using the steelthread to make it longer or something I have an idea but I'm not yet to shure if it should work. I guess I just have to try it out and see how it goes. I'm going shopping to find material to make the leaves with today, hope I can find something usefull and strong enough.

The rest of the costume if getting along nice, the skirt is finished, and I'm about to sew the cloak together. So practicly the circlet and my Spell book are the last things to do.
