Are you guys and gals having a fabulous summer? What have you been up to? Tell me!

I was going to write a journal on how dreary summer has been here but of course the weather changed completely! For the past week it's been extra sunny and days of 30C temperature. Great boost for the gardens though! The cat however was not impressed with the heat and layed on the floor under the ceiling fan for the week.

And now dear Hurricane Bill will be visiting tommorow. Today I must bring in all our potted plants and outdoor furniture. I hope I can secure all the tomato cages and whatnot. I'm worried the garden is going to get pulverized :\

In other summertime news, I got my wisdom teeth and a mystery tooth removed. Day surgery FTW! It went really well but my two bottom wisdom teeth were crazy impacted and they worked hard to get those out. I know that because, man was my lower jaw ever bruised! It looked like I was in a super intense fight, and probably lost hahaha.

I've read some really great books this summer too. I highly recommend all of them.

Wouldn't that be cool?

So that's my summer! Gardening, arting, reading, recovering, having fun!

Still need to put the Michael Jackon tribute together too! D:

Even from a techinical standpoint my jaw dropped at the textures. I was very sparkly eyed through the whole thing. I would go see it again in a heartbeat. I'd really like to see it at the Imax though. Oh man that would be nuts! *_*

I got most of my garden planted, just the tomato plants and beans to go. The deer didn't clue in that there was a garden there last year. Now they know for sure since they ate the tulips. So it'll be an adventure to see what else they'll eat! 8D

The hummingbirg mistook me for the feeder the other day. He was not impressed and hovered in front like "WTF!?"

Uh yeah, so that's mostly it! Art stuff I'm working on is a Harry Potter piece for an auction, and a couple projects of mine I call "Roller Derby Girls...from Space!" and "Just Giv'r". Haha silly but should be fun!

Does anyone have Animal Crossing Wild World and want to come visit my town? I'd really like to get Nook's final store "Nookington's".

Haha it's been two months since I last made a journal entry 8D Usually I don't have much to write about, unless you want to hear about what the deer family or the pheasant is up too ;3

Spring has really made me feel happy. The daffodils and tulips are growing nicely. When I went out to water them today, I noticed my deer friends had walked through the garden. They surprisingly didn't eat the tulips but smashed one with their hooves real good! I hope it'll recover! Can't stay mad at them though, they are so sweet.

Our fav tv shows should be making their return soon, what shows are you most looking forward to? I was pretty excited for the return of Pushing Daisies, but then found out it got the axe. If I were rich I would mail a fresh homemade pie to the execs everyday until they brought it back! I hear they may finish up the story with a movie or comic book series so that would be pretty sweet.

I've been watching the new Flash Gordon show too and just love it. Apparently that was cancelled in early 2008 haha. Us canucks were late to get that series up here. I thought it was brand new! I'm happy watching reruns though, it's all good :3

So other then those two I'll be happy to see Smallville, Life on Mars, Ugly Betty, Sarah Connor Chronicles, Fringe and the new show on CBC called Being Erica. (That's a lot of tv watching!) I do enjoy Chuck and Heroes too. I love Ando! *3*

Dress up? Watch any scary movies? I made up a bunch of treat bags to pass out to the kids. We didn't have as many drop by as last year though. The cutest kid was about 3 and dressed up as a unicorn with sparkly wings *_* She had the biggest smile ever and yelled "TWICK O' TWEAT". I just about died. Our landlady and her little boy dropped by too. They both dressed up as pumpkins and I just about died from cuteness overload again!

My b/f and I had a friend over for the evening and we rented the movie "Jumper". It turned out to be a pretty okay flick. I did have very low expectations for it though ;3

It was a most fun day and I'm bummed it's already over!

I haven't been to active here the past few months. I must say I haven't had any inspiration or motivation to do any artwork at all :\ It sucks! I did get some of my WoW characters leveled pretty well though ;3 Hopefully the inspiration/motivation will come back soon! I have lots I would like to work on!

Do you have any methods on regaining inspiration/motivation? Or is it a "be patient till it comes back" kinda thing. I haven't been feeling this bleh creatively in a looong time.

How is your summer going? Most awesomely I hope! What have you been up to?

I planted a little garden and it's growing really great! The beans are so delicious and the tomatoes will be ready soon. The bees are going crazy over the flower mix that was planted. There are these purple ones they really really love, and I have no clue what they are. And two little hummingbirds are always about. Gosh they are so cute!

Has anyone been watching the Olympics? I've been glued to the tv watching them haha. I love the Olympics so much! Even World of Warcraft is celebrating them. I got a sweet tabard from the "Spirit of Competition" with an Olympic type logo. So much fun!

I'm excited to plant some flower mixes that are supposed to attract butterflies and hummingbirds. It will be so pretty and a great source for the little creatures.

I hope everyone has a happy and love filled day!

I love this day, it's fun! I did something special for the mister. The local candy store will be delivering a special Valentine's gift basket to him today!

So he will probably be embarrased when it arrives to him at work! Haha! I can't wait for his reaction!

I found some great Valentines at the dollar store. Mostly with dinosaurs on them and great caption like "you're so cute, I could eat you up.. Oops!" The dinosaur was eating another one haha ew!
Some other were "Great friends like you are almost extinct" and "You give my life porpoise! Plus another that has a little baby alligator saying "It was love at first bite!"


I keep meaning to update this journal more, but all I have to talk about is the weekly storms that seem to hit and World of Warcraft! My addiction to WoW has resurfaced haha ... yikes. Oh well I'm getting close to level 70!

I rushed downtown this morning before it all started to get some errands done. As I walking home it was eerily quiet then the wind picked up, yikes!

We are supposed to get rain on Friday, so maybe it'll be all gone again haha! That's life if Canada eh!?

I hope everyone had a great holiday and their new year is going great! Did anyone make resolutions? I didn't really but I am going to try to start eating more healthy (I say that all the time haha!). Not sure how that will work out, I'm not a big fan of vegetables. Then again, if they are the only thing to snack on, it just might work afterall! Haha!

The wind is still gusting at about 70 km/h D: When the storm started my little deary deer friend was out in the garden having her lunch but quickly went back into the woods haha! I sure hope the deer found a nice safe spot to hide out.

We got quite a bit of snow, but Sunday evening it turned to rain. I took a couple pictures to show the difference.

I took to opportunity to dance around in the snow on the front yard while Kev and I moved my tomato plants. They are out of the snow but I wonder if they are done for haha.

Tonight while watching the snow, we also watched the second Ninja Turtles movie. They were showing it on Teletoon. It was just as funny and awesome as I remember! I almost died laughing when Michelangelo dropped the pizza into that "potion" they were making hahaha. We remembered most of the dialogue too haha, is that lame?

"Man, I love being a turtle!"

I made a couple journals to do with the "100 Theme Challenge" that's been going around a while, and an anthro one as well. I've been feeling so uninspired lately I thought it would be a good idea to try working on them again.

Well Post Tropical Storm Noel hit us this past weekend and luckily my immediate area wasn't hit too badly. There were a few trees to come down and the door off our garbage bin. I was really worried about my plants blowing away haha. I checked on them so many times during the night.

It would have interesting to see the 10 meter high waves that were reported. The videos they showed on tv was neat but I can imagine it would have been totally scary to be on the shore. Anyways, I'm glad it's over! It's been sunny and beautiful since then.

And now for some Christmas stuff! (I can't believe I'm talking about the holidays this early but there is so much to do!)

I gathered up quite a bit of toys and books I have around the apartment. I'm not much of a "church" person but I'd like to send a few things up for the little ones. The rest I'll keep for any toy drives that are set up in my community.

Halloween was so much fun this year! I dressed up as a raccoon and of course walked to Kev's work to pick him up haha. People were beeping their horns and waving to me, it was hillarious and so awesome! There was a car with people dressed up and they wailed on their horn hahaha.

Our landlady said we could expect up to 80 kids! We only got about 15 or so. A lot of the kids by-passed our place. Maybe because it's at the top of the road? I dunno, so we are left with sooo much candy! There were some great costumes, my favorite was this little 3 year old dressed as a frog. He was so amazingly adorable. Twick or tweat! Ehehehe! The other costume I thought that rocked was a kid dressed up as a chef, and he had a shopping cart to haul all his candy around in. We saw him again at the end of the night and that shopping cart was full!

I can't believe how polite the kids were too! Every single one of them said thank you. I almost fell over haha. I love Nova Scotia!

I was surprised there was about zero Halloween programming on TV last night. What happened? Not even The Rocky Horror Picture Show was on, and that's usually on, or any other spooky movie for that matter. We did watch Pushing Daisies though, what a fantastic show! I love love love the style of it and such a cool concept.

Hi guys and gals!

I turned 24 today! Almost a quarter century. Neat!

The weather has returned to normal fall weather, and it's so beautiful. Crisp clear days and falling leaves. Although not many trees have started to turn yet. I love autumn in Nova Scotia!

I planted some tomato plants this summer and they really are doing well. In the past month we've gathered so many and made sauce and some salsa. The salsa was amazing. I think next year, I'm going to learn how to do preserves so that I can have salsa all year round. I think it would be such a treat in the winter.

Kev asked the landlady if I'm able to put in a flower bed in front of our front step, and she said yes! I'm so excited. The grass doesn't grow there so I thought a flower bed would look much better. One of the other tenants here said it's mostly clay so I'll have dig it up and put some potting soil and compost in. I think that'll be a fun spring project! I also need to think of some plants, they need to be able to handle full sun. Any suggestions?

Oh I took a class on card making this past weekend. It was making some cards featuring butterflies and dragonflies on acetate. Not real ones, just stamps haha! And lots of sparkles! It was so much fun and by the time the class was over, I was covered head to toe in sparkles. Kev had a good laugh when he saw me.

Hi guys and gals!

I had the opportunity to try out some auricular acupuncture at the women's center! This type is having needles only in your ears, and it wasn't painful at all. I went to see if it could help with my sleeping problems and it did! I've been sleeping so much better now, I'm amazed. So hopefully I'll get to go again sometime, it was so wonderful. I highly suggest it if you get the chance!

I also took a workshop on using the moon cycles in your everyday life. That was really cool! Now I have my special moon calendar filled out on the best days to do household chores. Fun!

This fall I signed up for some card stamping/making courses at a local shop too. I'm hoping it'll be some inspiration for my artwork. I was in a total art slump this summer D: But I've bought some neat papers and hope to create some cool drawings with them, and that's brightened my spirits!

1. I am so totally addicted to sugar D:
2. My afternoon guilty pleasure is CSI: NY. The dialogue is awful, the sequences with looking at evidence drives me nuts, yet I can't turn away.
3. I need to have all my chores done and my art area tidy before I can get to work.
4. My cat bites me and only me...often. Especially when she wants to play, wraps herself around my right leg and chomp!
5. I don't have my drivers liscence.
6. I love walking downtown to get the mail.
7. When I was a kid, I thought Star Trek was boring. Now I can't get enough!
8. I enjoy chatting to the baby deer that lives in the woods beside my place. I see her almost everyday (mainly because there are apple trees and apples are yummy).

Hi guys and gals!

You all must think I'm totally nuts for moving again so soon. I don't blame you, I think I'm nuts haha. I just couldn't seem to get settled with the Meadow-Lark name. But Atuki is a character I've had for a long while, and someone who'm I've got a deep connection with, unlike meadow-lark. I must have registered this account when I originally began to debate on leaving Scarlet-Dawn.

Anyways, thanks for putting up with this crazyness but it's over now!
