Hi friends

I'm hoping those of you who scan your art (and preferably use colored pencils, markers, and the like) can maybe suggest what scanners you use. I've just had it with mine, it's pretty old, and its software won't work with Vista so I use very primitive scanning software I can't really adjust anything with. And even using Photoshop to make the colors more true won't help, most colors are so light it can't even grab those and make them darker.

So what do you use? I'm hoping to get this as a birthday gift but still don't want to break the bank with a high price. I'd prefer one that just grabs the image and I don't have to tweak it too much. I want what I see to be what I get ^^

Thanks everyone!!!

I have no idea where I got it, I haven't been around people much lately, so I must have gotten it at graduation or just before school ended. It's sucked.
Holy CRAP. What a day! I cannot believe how crazy it was. OK maybe it wasn't THAT crazy but it kind of sucked overall.
I went to work a little later than normal today because I had a late night. I arrived at 9:40 and realized I'd forgotten my keys! So I had to drive back home to get them. On the way back I GOT PULLED OVER FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!!! I really shouldn't have been driving so fast, I totally deserved it, but man it sucked. I was going 60 in a 45. So I ended up being even later and am out 58 bucks and will have 2 points on my perfect license if I mail in my hard earned money in 20 days. Meh! That's seriously like a day's work...but is still not much more than a tank of gas, now that I think about it. But still. At least the cop was nice. And I didn't even cry till AFTER I'd driven away

Work was so SLOW today. And it was just made worse because I cut myself pretty bad/deep on some glass, so that just made everything PEACHY. It bled and bled...gross. Plus it was just kind of a stressful night, and I didn't want to be there anymore.

Then when I get to my car I see this necklace lying on my hood. I have NO idea how it got there and I am pretty weirded out by it! I like it, I'm keeping it, but it's such a mystery! Probably some shopper dropped it and someone found it and thought it was mine and left it on my car? I dunno...

A day off tomorrow, so I'm glad about that, even though I just had one. I'm gonna run some errands I think.

The theater was a little too crowded for my tastes, and too many kids...but what do you expect on opening day? Later that night I went to one of my favorite restaurants, Pappadeaux, with the BF, which was tons of fun and great food as always! I got to take my leftover fried crawfish to work the next day for lunch so that was good. Last night we went to the Rio for a couple of margs and then saw Wanted, which was kind of good, I liked that it wasn't a typical action movie, it had some different aspects to it which was refreshing. I liked Wall-E, better, though. Today we went swimming and watched a Futurama DVD. It was a very nice first Sunday off in about a month! But I won't complain about working too much because I really don't and get to go on a mini break up at a cabin in the mountains in about a week and a half! That should be lots of fun. It will be nice to get away.
I've been trying to draw more, I've gotten quite a few new supplies from work so that makes it interesting. Hoping to get something finished (the pencil and inking at least) by tonight.

I had such a wonderful Christmas! My parents and sister and I opened each other's presents on Christmas Eve, to save me some time the next morning to get ready to go to Tony's parents' house. I got so many wonderful things: two shirts from Ann Taylor, a super-cute headband, Guitar Hero 3 for PS2, an Amy Brown faerie I didn't think I was going to get because it had been sold out, and an awesome acrylic paint set. It was different to open the night before, but fun. We saved "Santa's" presents for the next morning. We woke up to SNOW! I got nervous about driving so I decided to go to Tony's first so we could carpool. I left earlier than I thought I was going to, but we had time to open a couple more presents. Becca and I both got Super Mario Galaxy for Wii, and I got Mario Party DS. The roads to Tony's weren't too bad, though it was a little scary, it was probably the worst snow I'd ever driven in, because it hadn't been treated in any way at all, no one had even driven on it, it was so early. It took me a while to arrive at Tony's, and then to arrive at his parents', but we were still basically on time. I got even more lovely presents there: paintbrushes and canvases and a Hello Kitty key cover from Tony's step-brother and sister in law (Brandon and Michelle ), and so many things from his parents: Hello Kitty lounge pants, two Hello Kitty shirts, the new 2008 Hello Kitty calendar, The Pirates of the Caribbean 3 DVD, earbud headphones, and bath stuff. From Tony I got an amazing 4 GB iPod nano (it's holds SO much more than my old one, and has video!) and two pairs of pretty earrings. We had a nice breakfast and then played the DVD Are you smarter than a 5th grader game. Girl's won!
After that we drove back to my house. I got a pretty bad tummy ache on the drive home, maybe I was nervous? The roads weren't that great. We ate dinner first, which was delicious as always, but I didn't eat too much, my tummy still wasn't quite settled by then. After that we opened more presents with various members of my extended family.
Tony and I went back to his place after that, and I spent the next few days there. It was nice and lazy, we played a lot of video games, we enjoy playing Mario Party together, I played a lot of my new DS game, and guitar hero 3, which I love. It's been nice to spend a lot of time with Tony and Haiku. She has gotten so pretty!
Friday was Tony and I's three year anniversary. We went to Cool River Cafe in the tech center, we got to sit by the fireplace, it was SOOO nice. I got a glass of white wine to go with my salmon. It was a delicious dinner.
Saturday I went home. I played some DDR and Mario Galaxy, both of which are a lot of fun! This morning we drove to Greeley to visit my aunt, uncle and cousins. It wasn't as weird to go back to Greeley as I thought it would be. It all felt pretty familiar. We went to Old Chicago which was fun. It was a nice time.
I'm back at Tony's now for a couple days. We don't have any plans for New Year's Eve but that's OK. Tony thinks I've been a little down lately, because the holidays are over. I guess I am sad that they are over, but I'm not down. Especially since I beat Guitar Hero on medium tonight! Hehe. Hard's next...scary!

I've been having a very nice break!
I finally got my grades...and I got straight A's! It's a first for me! I am very proud. Sure many of my classes were very easy, but two of them were a big challenge
I've been spending a lot of time with Tones and my family. I was at Tones' over the weekend, I was supposed to go there on Friday night but it was a pretty bad snow here in this part of town and I had to turn around So I went the next morning. We saw National Treasure 2, it was pretty good, we both enjoyed it quite a bit. The theater was BUSY! I couldn't believe it. We ran some errands, and went to the game store. Tony bought me DDR for Wii and Mario Party 7 for us to play on Gamecube! I couldn't believe it. It was so nice of him! I couldn't play DDR yet of course, no Wii at Tony's, but we did play Mario Party. We were enjoying it for a while before we got an error! I cleaned off the disc but we got the error again. So Tony exchanged it for another disc that looks much better.
Today we went to Tony's mom's and had Christmas. That was fun, I got lots of fun stuff and we had a nice dinner. After that we came to my house, some family came over. I finally got to try DDR, I think I'll get a lot better quickly.
Tomorrow is Xmas eve, not sure what's going on, but I know we're opening our family presents tomorrow night, which is something we've never done before. That'll just make it easier the next morning since I'm going to Tony's parents for the first time on Xmas. Should be fun! Merry Christmas everyone!

Just thought I'd do a quick blog.
Forgot to say that last week my dad and I got to go see a preview screening of Sweeney Todd at Cherry Creek Mall. I got a free pass in one of my classes and dad was the only one who could go, so I kind of forced him since I wanted to go. We had dinner at the mall and snuck cookies into the theater. The movie was weird, definitely different, but I think we both enjoyed it to an extent. It was definitely one I had to think about for a while after I saw it, but I liked it overall. Johnny Depp was good in it, actually, everybody was.
My first official day of break went well. I shoveled the front and back for the first time ever, I think. It was tough work but kind of fun, too. A few hours later I gathered up my courage and went to my eye appointment. This was tough to do because it'd been snowing forever and I am TERRIFIED of driving in the snow. AND I hate the eye doctor very much! However my car did awesome and I think it will continue to do so, so I may get over my fear. The eye exam went really well, too, rather, I did really well, I wasn't scared of the eyedrops at all. LOL. The exam was over really fast and I picked out some new lenses.
I have a haircut scheduled for tomorrow and will probably get my eyebrows waxed Thursday, I want to look my best for Tony's company Christmas party on Friday! I was going to get a manicure, but too many of my nails broke Oh well!

A good week, had a lot to do but it still went fine. Had a econ test on Monday and a psych test on Wednesday, both of which were the last ones for the class. I got a good enough grade on both to keep an A in both classes. Got an A in history and HR as well, and should get an A in environmental science as well, which brings me to straight As! I haven't gotten that in my college career so I'm pretty excited about that.
Took my science final today so I am officially DONE with the semester. Feels good, but I'm feeling a little anxious about break, it's something like 42 days long, and I wasn't planning on working during that time. I'm afraid I'll be really bored and turn into a bump on a log or something. I have lots of things planned to try and keep myself busy with but 42 days is a long time...I guess we'll see how things go!
I got "administratively dropped" from my stats class because I didn't have the prereq. Tried to contact the school to plead my case but of course have not heard anything back. I'm really afraid I've lost the class for good and just don't know quite what to do about it.
Spent the weekend with Tony and the cats after seeing my sister's Christmas Carol play on Friday, which was a lot of fun. Haiku is getting very big, and although she's still a bugger and loves to bite, she's enjoying being out in the condo. Isis is still behaving pretty well, and no one's been scratched yet. There's just a lot of hissing.
My mom and sister and I saw Enchanted today and I loved it! I found out the original Elphaba from Wicked was in it so that is really cool. It was a very fun and cute movie.
I'm looking forward to Christmas. I think I have the majority of gifts bought. Two weeks till!

A good, fast week. I had to go early/stay after school quite a bit for various things like a group project. We presented that on Thursday, it was a play, depicting the book "Enrique's Journey." I was Enrique's mom. It was fun, and I'm sure we'll get full points. I'm pretty much done with that class, now, just need to do a short "reaction essay" about our presentation. I'm almost done with most ALL school, now. I just need to take a final econ and psych test. If I do well enough on this last econ test I may not have to take the final, which would be quite nice. That means I'd just have to attend one final, environmental science, on Monday of next week, and would be done after that (except for my HR final, which is online). So I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, I guess.
We took Haiku to the vet yesterday to get her tested for FIV, and she's clear! We figured she would be, but we didn't want to take a chance (obviously, as we kept her in the office for two months). There is a chance she could get it in the next few months, but we really doubt it. She was just getting too antsy in that room, she was tearing up EVERYTHING! I wish she wasn't such a biter... Anyway, we introduced Isis and Haiku officially today. It went better than I expected it would, Isis behaved pretty well considering. But she has seen Haiku many, many times so it wasn't a shock or anything. Mostly Isis would just stay pu as Haiku ran at her and stalked her. If Isis wasn't happy with that (which she wasn't), she hiss/meow/growl and take a swat at Haiku. Haiku will learn not to run up at the big kitty, I think! She just wanted to play, it was very cute, but she tried to show Isis she was submissive and just wanted to be friends. I sure hope they can, or at least tolerate each other Haiku has gotten so big, she's practically 5 lbs! I remember when she was so tiny and was just skin and bones. I'm glad to see her so healthy.

We got back from Moab today. We left Thursday morning and drove for about 6 hours or so. I got REALLY car sick on a kind of curvy/windy road, I thought I was gonna puke! I haven't gotten that car sick maybe, ever! We first went to this place called Fisher Towers which was cool spires of rock. We saw someone parachute off, that was neat. We took a mini hike and then headed to Moab. Our place was nice, it worked out just great. There were two bedrooms and it was a nice size. After getting settled we got our Thanksgiving dinner all ready. We had turkey, cranberry jelly, rolls, mashed potatoes, corn, and wine. It was delicious, even far away from home. After dinner we got in the hottub that was in the yard of our little cottage. That was fun. We had pumpkin pie afterwards, and even though that's not my favorite, it was pretty good. We watched Cars on TV, cuz we had Starz channel. We went to bed around 10.
Next day we woke up to SNOW. Which sucked, because we were supposed to go jeeping that day! But it wouldn't be safe, so we went to Arches National Park instead, which was fun. We saw cool arches and took short walks and had lunch. But it really did kind of suck having everything all snowy and dreary. The snow stopped soon after we got into the park, but it was still really cloudy and foggy. Dad wanted to go drive some road, so I decided to take a nap. I woke up to bumpiness, we were on a bumpy road so it was kind of like four-wheeling. We found a huge canyon that we yelled into, it was the most amazing echo (supposedly it's the spot of the final scene in "Thelma and Louise!") We kept driving, and got into Canyonlands National Park. But it was like, a goat road, seriously. I started getting a little scared, because we were on a cliff, and the road was starting to get really snowy. We got slowed up by like, 4 jeeps in front of us, and they had packed it all down and made it really slick. I'd had my eyes closed for quite some time and was getting very scared, when all of a sudden I felt that we had both stopped, and starting going BACKWARDS! My dad couldn't get any traction, and we were stuck in a trench on the side of the mountain! Pretty much that's when I started crying LOL. I was so scared. The tires were just spinning, we were on a pretty steep grade, and feet away from a huge cliff. It was terrifying! My dad worked on it for a while, even got out and used our shovel to work up the snow/dirt, but we still couldn't move. We got out of the car after a bit, because I was freaking out. Seriously, FREAKING out. I kept picturing those old survival movies where everyone dies because they weren't prepared. We didn't have very much food or water, and not the warmest of clothes, and it was already almost 4 in the afternoon. All these scenarios were going through my head. I'm usually more rational than that but it was a low point I guess. I could tell everyone else was being strong for me, but I knew we were all scared. Dad was awesome, though. He used the shovel to work up the ground to get some "bite" as they called it so we could get out of the trench. He got it out, and we were so happy. Then he had to back up down the road to reach a wider spot to turn around in, because we knew the half of the road we'd already come up was safe. The jeeps were long gone, and there was no one else around to help us. Dad back up real slow, and had almost turned into the wide spot when the front wheel fell down into the trench again. We were like, shit! But he got it out again, I couldn't believe it. Soon enough he was fully turned around and ready to get going again! Bec and I walked behind for a while because I was still too nervous to get back in. But the really snowy part ended pretty soon and we got back in, and although we were going downhill now, which is not as nice as going uphill, we were back on the road and headed back. We laughed about it afterwards but I still felt very shaken. I think I may be a little afraid of heights after this. It took us quite a while to get back to town, it was dark by the time we did. We went to Pasta Jay's for dinner, which was tasty, but too crowded and not a very nice dining experience. We then went home and watched "The Holiday," and then went to bed after a hard day!
Next day we got our jeep because it was a beautiful day. I was nervous after the day before, I was worried something bad was going to happen again, so I guess I wasn't in the best of mindsets. The jeep was yellow, and not comfortable! The ceiling was all wet for some reason so we had to wipe it off so we wouldn't get all dripped on. There was nothing to hold on to and no support for our backs and Becca's legs were real squished. We went to a trail my dad knew and went over some mostly just bumpy road and some slickrock. It was sort of fun, but I didn't love it. Plus we didn't really know where we were, and I REALLY didn't like that. We got out of...

Kind of a tough day. I got up a little early to have enough time to drive back to Littleton from Tony's and then get to campus for registration and a group meeting. I got to campus about 11 and registered for 4 of my classes, it wouldn't let me register for math, but I knew it wouldn't. I then wondered if the bursar's office was open and if I could get regsitered for math today instead of after break. They said I could, but of course I didn't have my schedule adjustment form with me, it was at home, I didn't think I'd need it since no one told me the office would be open this week, during break.
So I went to meet my group and see how many seats were available in the math class time I wanted, I needed to decide if I wanted to go home and get the form and bring it back, or just wait till Monday. I checked the seats, there were VERY limited seats left, and nothing in a time that would really work for me. Either way, I needed to get into that class, so I decided to go home. Mom, dad, and Tony suggested I try to fax them the paper instead, so I called and made sure I could. I went all the way home, gathered everything up, then went to King Sooper's to fax it. That went fine. I then went out to my car and called the bursar's office to see if they'd gotten the fax yet. They hadn't, but would call me in about 10-15 minutes, if they had or still hadn't. I decided to just head to the Light Rail again, at least then I'd be on my way in case I needed to bring the form back to school and would save a little time. After half an hour they still hadn't called me, so I called them. Just then I recieved a voicemail, she had called me, it just hadn't rung (frustrating!) They hadn't gotten the fax. Good thing I was on my way down!
So I finally get back to campus, the class I was going to register for, the one with 2 seats open, wasn't even, like, real, it didn't exist, the lady couldn't find it. So I switched it to a Monday, Wednesday class at 8:30 am instead of the Tuesday, Thursday class I thought was available. I thought it was a little fishy, I thought I knew what I had read, but oh well, at least that way I didn't have to go 4 days a week, only 2. But I had FOUR hours with no classes, and would be going ALL day. It was not a very good schedule at all, but I tried to see the bright side, at least I'd gotten all the classes I'd needed.
I headed home, and started thinking about it again. I really thought it was weird that the class I saw online, she didn't see. I wondered if there were other classes I didn't see that she could. So I got home, checked the website again (I was right, the class I saw WAS a Tuesday, Thursday class), and called her. I asked if there was a 4:00 class instead, and if I could switch. She said there was, and that I could. So after a HUGE hassle (not to mention testing into that stupid math class and everything else I had to do to be accepted) I got the schedule I'd originally wanted. It's a really good one, too, I have one online class, and I go on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00 to 6:45 straight through, no breaks. Thank goodness! But it was a long day and I was glad to be home!
We had delicious Garlic Knot pizza for dinner and mom and I watch the Dancing with the Stars results show. I then played MySims for a while and am now just sitting here, not sure what to do next, but I think involves me sleeping, because I am TIRED!

Well I'm now on break. I had a nice relaxing weekend.
On Friday night, after Tony had a long, tough day at work, we went to Chile's and Old Chicago for dinner and drinks. It was fun.
Saturday we went to Tony's parents' and had a great dinner and dessert, and yesterday we went with Tony's friend Patrick to see "Beowulf" in 3-D, which was really cool. All of us had headaches afterwards but it was still a cool thing to see. I think it was the glasses, because the glasses I used for "Nightmare Before Christmas" in 3-D didn't bother me at all.
Today Tony has work, so I'm just chilling at his place. I've got a cool drawing to work on and will hopefully do another later. I have to go to school tomorrow for a group meeting, and I also register tomorrow. After that I'll head home, and will be leaving for Moab on Thursday morning!

I had a lovely, quiet weekend. Tony and I went to Red Robin for dinner on Saturday and that was really nice, we hadn't been there in quite some time, so it was a nice treat.
Yesterday was a little boring, nothing much to report. I wasn't in a very good mood because I was really worried about the ACCUPLACER test I was planning on taking today. I studied a little, but really felt I had no chance, I think. I had no faith in myself whatsoever. I dreamed about it all week, had all these sad scenarios planned out. Because if I didn't pass the test, I wouldn't be able to get into the math class I needed in order to take all these upper division classes, so a lot was riding on it.
I felt sick and nervous all day. Finally the time came, and I took the test. At least this time, UCD provided a little more info than ACC about how the test worked, so I had a small idea of how I was doing during the test. It took me about 45 minutes, but I PASSED!!! I couldn't believe it. I got a 97, and I'd needed an 85 to get into that math class, so I did really well. Now I've got to register for it and all, but everything should work out fine. So yay for me!
I've got a few more smaller things to worry about before the week is up, but at noon on Friday I am on BREAK for a WEEK! Can't wait!

Haven't written in a while. It's been a busy week. It was really nice not having HR last week, I got to get out really early on Tuesdays and Thursdays because of that. On Tuesday I went to Tony's and spent a lot of time with Haiku which was fun. On Thursday I collected a water sample for lab, and mom, dad, and I went to the Gaelic Storm concert which was a lot of fun. I hadn't seen them in concert before. I didn't like waiting for the show to start, though. But it's fun music.
Next day I went to lab, and mom and I had a nice lunch together at Olive Garden and went to St. Nick's (Christmas store) which was a lot of fun. Later that night we went to dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings with Scott and Barb, which was really fun. I got spicy garlic and caribbean jerk sauces, I really liked the spicy garlic (it's my new favorite) but I didn't like the other sauce very much at all. I had a berry margarita, too. We also played trivia which was fun, we won one round. I went to Tony's that night but he didn't get to his house till way after me, he was in Denver having a guy's night with Ryan. So I just watched "Misery" on instant Netflix because I had just read the book. It wasn't a very good movie. Not like I really got to watch it much anyway, Haiku just wouldn't let me be!
On Saturday Tony and I went to the game store and we both got a DS game, I got Harvest Moon DS and he got Sonic Rush. I'm not sure how I feel about Harvest Moon yet, there's SO much to it that I haven't even gotten to yet, I don't think I've figured out quite how it works, yet. We had tasty Qdoba for dinner! Mmm.
Next day we saw "Bee Movie." It was fine, not AMAZING or anything, but entertaining. It was fun to go see a movie, anyway. Then we watched football and Family Guy and stuff. It was a lot of watching
The week's been a little blah. I did get an A on my econ test which was super cool. But otherwise I'm just waiting for the weekend, yet again. Actually, I'm waiting for break. Only a little over a week till!
I found out I have to take this math placement test AGAIN, to try and get into a math class at UCD. Turns out I was aiming for the wrong math class all along, and may have taken my summer math class for nothing, but to give me knowledge. I can only hope that helps me on the test, that thing scares me to death! I'm not looking forward to taking it.
I've been drawing a lot, though, so that's good. I've uploaded two drawings in the last couple days and am working on another!

Whew. Glad this week's over! I have a couple of things to worry about this week, but nothing as major as last week. I was glad for the weekend, but it went by WAY too fast.
On Thursday my ancestry paper was due. I was so glad to be done with it! For extra credit I stood up in front of the class and told some of the stories I'd learned through my interviews. That was actually pretty fun, because everyone laughed!
Friday night was fun, Becca and I ran some errands, then had dinner at Ruby Tuesday and saw "Nightmare Before Christmas" in 3-D. That was cool! 3-D techonology has gone digital and it was really neat to see.
Saturday after a lazy morning I went to Tony's. Hakiu has gotten so big! I didn't get to see her all week because of all my school stuff, so I was really surprised. She's all over her cold, so she's really healthy now, and is sure acting it! She's getting into EVERYTHING and LOVES to bite. I hope I can get her away from that habit, because it can hurt!
Last night we went to a Halloween party with Tammy in Longmont. It was OK. Mostly it turned into a "wear costumes and watch Rockies" party
Today was lazy, we went to Park Meadows just to look around and get out of the house and got smoothies. I sure love smoothies. Didn't do much the rest of the day, I played with Haiku quite a bit. My throat has started to kind of close up when I spend a lot of time with her...I have a hard time breathing sometimes. Not good, huh?
I was glad to go home and see mom and dad again, they got back from New Mexico today. They got me some pretty earrings. I like them a lot.
Should be an OK week ahead, no HR at all so that REALLY improves my week!
Rockies lost the World Series tonight...poor Rocks...they tried hard, though!

I had a pretty fun weekend, it went by fast, however. TIME just seems to be going by really fast...every week the weekend seems to come by so quickly...I only have about 7 weeks left of school already...wow...
Anyway. Friday night was fun, I went to Uncle Dave's birthday party and then to Tony's. On Saturday we took Haiku to the vet again, to get her cold checked out. We got some antibiotics, we hope they help. A few hours later we ran some errands, we got some medicine for Isis, went to the game store, and I saw my old friend Zach at his work. I got my eyebrows done, too, at ULTA, which went find until I couldn't use the points I'd earned on Fridays or Saturdays. So my free waxing turned out to be 22 bucks. I was SO mad! I was sure it was only a $15 value, so it was a double blow. I'm still pissed about it. That's a lot of money for me.
We went to Chile's for dinner and that cheered me up, I had a great margarita and a tasty meal. We got some Smirnoff Ice and beers at the liquor store after that and went home and watched "Hot Fuzz," which was funny. I liked it.
Today was lazy. First snow of the season! Luckily it was pretty much gone by the time I left Tony's. We watched TV a lot today, and I finished my history novel. I'm glad I'm done with it.
This week may be tough, I have a LOT to do school-wise, I have something pretty big due on each day except Tuesday. I'd better use my time wisely!

A good end of the week. Took a quiz in history (think I did fine), then talked to Pop-pop about his life, which was really interesting. I think I'll have a lot of material for my project!
Friday was fun, mom, Bec and I went to the Littleton historical museum, which was really only OK. I remember it being a lot more fun as a kid, but I honestly think they've kind of taken a lot of the funnest things away. We went to Toast in downtown Littleton for lunch, which was OK too. We ran some errands in that part of town and then mom and I went to Target. A few hours later I went to Tony's and had a nice night with Haiku. She is just the sweetest thing!
Saturday was a lot of fun. Haiku had her first (free, yay) vet appointment so we took her to Beamer's vet. The vet was really nice and told us a lot. Haiku has a mild upper respiratory infection, but the doctor wasn't worried since she was eating fine and acting normal besides her sneezing. She said to call her on Monday if it got worse, and suggested using a humidifier, which we've done. It'll probably help my allergies, too (which have been really bad)!
After her appointment we took her to my house to meet mom and Becca (dad was in California). That was fun! Luckily she wasn't tired and was really funny to watch. I'd like to bring her home more often
Later that night (after both Tony's TV and internet had gone belly up for some reason), Ryan and Tammy came over and we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner. It was pretty good, though I wish we'd sat at a table, we had to wait FOREVER for every little thing, but I understand, because there was only one guy working the bar tables. I had HOT wings but they were really good, and I finished them all like a champ! Heheh. We went back home and played my movie game, which was a lot of fun, even though Tony won. Meh
Today was a little weird, I woke up and immediately went down to the complex technology center to take my online management test. It was NOT an easy task, I had to do it in there since Tony's internet was down, and then my laptop froze up when I opened the test. I didn't know what to do, I logged on one of their computers, but of course I'd already opened the test and have to do it in one sitting, so it thought I'd finished it already. Thank GOODNESS my professor put her contact info on the syllabus, I was able to call her and she opened the test back up for me, and though there was a really annoying delay on entering text, I got to take the test. Whew! What a morning! When I got back Tony was trying to get his internet and TV back up, and a worker guy was there. Luckily the internet is fixed, but Tones has to wait till Tuesday to get TV again. We just sat around the rest of the day, I finished two drawings and we played movie game and played with Haiku.
I was about to leave when I tripped over the kitten gate and banged up my knee. My leg stops hurting but now my knee hurts. Meh!
Got home in time to see the end of the Rockies game. Only one more win to go! Hope we can do it!
Time for bed now!

Wow I can't believe it's already Wednesday night. The weeks sure do go by fast...and since I only have one class tomorrow and no lab on Friday, it's almost time for the weekend!
Monday went fine, it was pretty normal.
Yesterday, however, was not so great. Monday night I got these shooting pains in my leg, down near my foot. It happened three times. I assumed they were some sort of more extreme leg cramp (which wouldn't surprise me, I've been having problems with my legs lately), and almost wondered, the next morning, if it'd really happened. But after my shower as I went to my closet the pain came back. I've never felt anything like it, it's extremely fast and painful. It scared me. It happened two more times that morning, once when getting breakfast, and then when I went to my car. I didn't feel anything during my first class, but right after I ate lunch, as I was studying, it REALLY started hurting, and coming in waves, and I was just sitting there. I was freaked. I walked it off and it felt better, and it didn't hurt again the rest of the school day.
I did some research after I got to Tony's (I really enjoyed being with Haiku), I may have shin splints (which I've always kind of known) or worse, stress fractures. I've always gotten pains in my legs when I walk fast, no matter what shoes I wear, but it's just gotten worse in the fast couple months because I've walked fast to catch the train so many times. The websites recommended icing and pain killers, so I did both those things, and told myself I'd go to the doctor if it hurt again. It didn't all evening, until right before bed. Took me totally off guard. Tony wonders if it could be a sign of Diabetes, since the pain seemed to come after I'd eaten, specifically sugar (I'd had some apple juice before bed Monday night), but I don't know. Today hasn't been too bad at all, it's hurt a couple times, but NOTHING compared to yesterday. It seems to be fading. I haven't been working it as hard so hopefully that'll help. I almost wish it WOULD hurt again so I could go get it taken care of, but I don't think it will. We'll see how tomorrow goes!

I had a good week. It went by REALLY fast.
Yesterday Tony and I went to the Denver Dumb Friends League to adopt a kitten! It took a while, but finally we got to visit three kittens we had our eyes on, and ended up choosing a tiny black and white female. Her name was Isabel but we're going to change it, hopefully soon, we just can't figure out what to name her! We picked her because she was extremely friendly and vocal. We got to pick her up this afternoon after she got spayed. She was NOT happy in the carrier on the way home! She was meowing the whole time. But as soon as she got home, she was fine again and purring like mad. She purrs anytime she's with people. She meows SO much and is very sweet, and has used her litter box and eaten her food and drank water. Sucks I don't get to see her as much as Tones will, as she'll be living with him. I may just have to go over there more now

Edit: Our kitty now has a name, Haiku!

Well Tones and I are back from Vegas, it was absolutely amazing! I had the best time, I really loved it there.
I'll try to recount everything here, if not for my own memories.
We woke up at FOUR on Friday morning and got ready and drove to the airport. We got there at 6, right on time. We took the shuttle to the airport, checked in, checked out bags, got through security, and had a McDonald's breakfast. It all went extremely smoothly. Our flight was great, it was on Frontier, and it was really nice. I loved flying West, I haven't done that before, so I got to see things I knew and then got to see the mountains from above, which was neat.
We got to Vegas around 9, got our bags, and took a shuttle to the Bellagio where we stayed. The hotel is GORGEOUS, we loved it. We didn't get to check in right away, because only smoking rooms were available, so we left our bags there and walked around for a while (three hours!). First we went to Caesar's Palace, had lunch, and looked around. I really enjoyed the three floor FAO Schwartz and a large fish tank. There were so many pretty stores, too! Gucci, Chanel, Prada, everything. Those were all really fun to see, but I wouldn't go in, I knew I couldn't/wouldn't afford anything and there were intimidating "guards" standing inside all the doors.
We then went to the Mirage, where we went to the wildlife and dolphin area. That was really fun, there was a new three month old dolphin named Sgt. Pepper, he and his mom were hanging out primarily in one shady area where Tony and I were, and we just watched them forever, he was SOOO sweet.
Next was Treasure Island, but we didn't stay there long at all, there wasn't much to see.
We headed across the street to the Fashion Show Mall, which was HUGE, we weren't there too long, either, we just went to a few select stores. I got a pen and magnet at the Sanrio store featuring Hello Kitty as a showgirl, it was just what I wanted There was also a Jessica McClintock store, I've always wanted to go in one.
After that we headed back to the hotel, we were EXHAUSTED, so after they brought up our bags for us (nice!) we took a nap.
We then went to dinner at Cafe Bellagio, which was cheap compared to most everything else and still really great. Then we headed to Paris and looked around there, and we had our first Vegas drink, a daiquiri in a large Eiffel Tower shaped cup LOL. It was good, but WAY too sweet, so Tony stopped really quickly and although I tried to finish it, I just couldn't, I didn't want to get a tummy ache. Later we gambled just a little and had another drink, then fell asleep! It was SUCH a long day, but so fun!
Next morning we woke up as early as we could and went to the Paris buffet for breakfast. We made breakfast pricing by 12 seconds and saved 17 bucks! It was SOOO good, all I had was crepes, a hashbrown, bacon, and a churro LOL. Nutritious, huh? But so tasty. It made me a little sick cuz it was so sweet, though We took another nap then went swimming for a while. It was a little cool and windy out, and the pool was really shallow, so we didn't swim too long really, but we spent a lot of time in a huge perfectly heated hot tub.
After that we got gussied up for dinner, and went to the Venetian. Tony wanted to get a gondola ride for us, but it ended up being too expensive, and we decided we'd rather spend the money on something a little more fun (you had to ride with other people and it wasn't a long ride). So we walked around a bit, I got a shirt for Becca, and then Tony decided he wanted to go to the Wynn, so we did. It was a LONG walk, and they were doing construction on that side of the street so it was really crowded and narrow in some parts. It was pretty nasty too, and then the pirate show across the street went off so it was even more packed because people were stopping. It wasn't too fun. FINALLY we got there, and we were so worn out, and there were NO benches in that freaking place! Made us mad. We finally found one and felt better, so we decided to go to a restaurant there, but our fist pick was full, and our next pick was too much of a wait, so we went to a "club" called Blush which we had coupons for free cover too. It was kind of lame in there, you couldn't sit because they were either reserved or you would get bottle service, so we had to stand while drinking our hideously overpriced drinks. Luckily we didn't stay too long.
We finally decided to go to the Eiffel Tower restaurant at Paris, so we walked all the way back, but on the opposite side this time. Dinner was AMAZ...

So Friday was fun, too. Lab was OK, mostly I just wanted to get out of there I headed back to Littleton and went to the DMV to get my new ID, I didn't really have to wait TOO long, and actually getting the thing was quite painless, though I didn't actually GET it, I got a temp, and I gotta wait. Hopefully it'll come before Vegas, just to make things a little easier.
I played a lot of Wii Play and got to play my movie game with Bec.
Later that night I got all ready and headed to Tony's, and we went to the Peak's Lounge at the Hyatt in Denver with Ryan and Tammy! It was SOOO pretty, we didn't stay long though, drinks were pretty pricey. I got a grape martini that was SO strong, I didn't care for it.
After that we took the Mall ride to Sing Sing, which was REALLY fun! They played AWESOME music, all my classic favorites. Tony and I shared a tasty bucket shot and I had two amaretto sours, which I enjoyed too. Ryan bought me a birthday hat, which I tried to wear, cuz I didn't want him spending money for me to get humiliated, but it broke I didn't have to go on stage, though A really cool part of the night was when Jay Cutler sat right next to our table! I don't think I'd have noticed if Tammy hadn't told me! We were so excited! He didn't look too happy though, I think he was kind of uncomfortable. He needed a drink, LOL.
So I had a really nice birthday weekend, the rest of it was really relaxing and nice. I wasn't ready for the week to start again

Well yesterday was my 21st birthday. Overall, it was really great! The day was a too normal for my tastes (though Tony was in Denver for work, so we got to go to a Japanese restaurant for lunch, which was awesome), the evening was really fun. My family and Tony and I went to the Melting Pot for dinner. I'd never been, and I really, really enjoyed it. It had such a neat atmosphere, it was so dark and nice. My first legal drink was a "love" martini, it had rum of some kind, and peach schnapps, and strawberries. It was really sweet and tasty. I was barely into that one when they brought me a free birthday cake martini! It had sprinkles and ice cream and whipped cream and everything. I REALLY liked that one! After the two of them I felt pretty good, but I didn't get drunk, but that's just fine. We got cheddar and spinach and artichoke cheeses, and a meat fondue. They were all great, but I think we all liked the cheeses best. After dinner we got chocolate fondue which was really nice, there was a chocolate with some peanut butter and a dark chocolate with raspberry. Yum yum! We were STUFFED afterward, but very pleased. We went home, and I got my presents: a DVD Scene It? board game, WiiPlay for Wii, and some pretty silver earrings. We'd gotten a cake but we were much too full! So overall it was a great birthday.
Today I played my new games and got my new license (though it's just a temp) and tonight (soon) I'm going to Denver with friends to go bar hopping! Should be a lot of fun!

I've had a very nice week. Last Friday my family and I headed up to the cabin. Though I was starting to get a cold, I was really excited. Tony and the rest of my family came up the next day, and it was a really nice weekend. We fished a little, but didn't catch anything. It was really relaxing and I finished my school novel and even got some drawing done. I didn't want to go home, but it'd been a nice break.
Yesterday was fine, I didn't have my second class so I got to leave at 12:45. I went to Englewood and had lunch with Tony, then rented and watched "Dreamgirls." I liked it. When Tony got home from work we went to Pappadeaux for dinner with Tammy, which was a lot of fun. I got crawfish, it was really yummy!
Today I had school, obviously. It wasn't too great. I got there REALLY early because it was my first time going from Tony's so I was nervous. I got a really amazing parking spot, though. Anyway, I got there about 45 minutes before class started, so I decided to get some coffee from Einstein's. I filled it up way too high after I put some half and half in, and ended up burning my tongue AND my hands trying to the damn thing down and lidded. I spilled it so many times...and it tasted like crap, too. At least it was cheap! I got some free yogurt, though, so that cheered me up and made my tongue feel a little better (we always get free stuff at school, so far I've gotten Mentos, gum, tea, and yogurt).
Finally it's time to go to class, and about a minute after it was supposed to start, some lady comes in telling us our teacher's sick and there's no class. Grr! So I just went to the quiet room and read my book for while (over an hour), which was nice, I guess, but I didn't get a nice chair because the lazy sleepers think they can take up two!
I finally get to go to class again, and it's only 30 minutes long! So I have ANOTHER hour to read. Ridiculous. And I was starting to get a headache by then and just wanted to quit waiting and get classes over with so I could go home. Psych was the longest it's been so far, and just as annoying.
But it's good to be home. I watched "Disturbia." Really good movie.
I wrote this poem in my head today:

You get all kinds, on the light rail train,
The poor, the well off, the in between.
Students, professionals, a family or two,
the child makes offensive noises we try to ignore.
He breaks our stupor, our meditation, reflection,
we prefer to stare out the window, ignore those next to us.
We don't make eye contact and keep close to our seats,
we frown and close our eyes as the breaks squeak.
Two stops to go, one stop to go,
their expressions make me sad.
A man waves to us as our train flies by,
and I smile.

I had a great first week of school. Though some of my classes seem to be not the best in the world, I think I'll still be very happy (or at least accepting) about going to school there every day On Thursday Tony and I went to the Rockies game for a few hours in between my classes. That was a fun change. We got peanuts and messy hot dogs and brats, and I got dippin dots. It was very relaxing, I sure wish I could have stayed! But we were losing pretty badly so at least that wasn't an issue.
On Friday I had my first lab, which was just a "this is what we'll be doing" session so I left after 20 minutes. Though I had to go buy a manual, I still got home very soon after leaving.
I helped my mom wash and prepare fruit to be cut for the wedding and made mexican pinwheels. After a power nap we picked up Becca from school and all got manicures and pedicures. It was quite fun.
Later that night we went to wedding rehearsal and afterwards got delicious pizza at the Garlic Knot.
Next morning was the wedding! It was fun. Bec and I were both bridesmaids and wore pink dresses. We also got to ride in a cool limo, our first time ever! The ceremony was very nice and quick, and taking pictures was fun. The reception was fun, too, and the cake was delicious! Becca caught the bouquet.
Tony went to the football game and Bec and I went home soon after. We were glad to get comfy! Mom, dad and I watched "Wild Hogs" and around 11 I went to Tony's.
Today we went to the history museum, we had free tickets to an IMAX show so we saw "Ghosts of the Abyss" about the Titanic. It was cool. We didn't get much time to spend in the actual museum, though, which was unfortunate, but we still had a lot of fun.
We had quick Japanese food and then went to Wal-Mart, and then home.
I got back to my Littleton home around 8:45. It was so awesome to not have to drive to Greeley!!! I'm actually looking forward to this week of school, and that may be because it'll be short, I have no classes after about 12:45 on Thursday, so I get almost a 5 day weekend!

I had a fine last few days of work, they went by very quickly. It was sad to say goodbye to all my friends, but exciting because it meant the start of school!
I had a really nice next couple of days, on Thursday night my mom and sister and I went to The Little Mermaid down in Denver! It was SOOOOOO awesome, just beautiful and so GLITTERY! I loved it. Mom got the poster for me and I hope to get the soundtrack as soon as it's available. We were so lucky to be able to see it when it opened here!
Next day, although it got off to a tough start, Tony, Rebecca, Ryan and I went to Elitches, and had fun, though a lot of rides (like Mind Eraser) were closed. It was fun, though. We went to Cheeburger, Cheeburger after that and ate cheeseburgers and shakes, which were awesome. I can't believe how much Ryan ate! It was entertaining. Bec and I went home and were absolutely exhausted, we took hot baths and then I slept for an hour or so before waking up around 8:30 to a hungy kitty
Next day was fun, too, mom and Bec and pop-pop and I went to the Western Welcome Week parade, which was really nice. Lots of pretty horses! I took lots of pictures. We went to the craft fair for a little while but didn't stay long at all. Then we went to KFC and had lunch, which I think just knocked me out, I slept for two hours when we got home. The sun and food and everything...
After that I went to Tony's and played a lot of video games while he organized his computer room. It was nice.
Next day was relaxing, we ran some errands and watched TV. I went home late afternoon.
Today was my first day at UCD! I was worried about parking but found one at Oxford just fine. I sure hope that trend continues the rest of this week! Although all of my classes got out SUPER early today, I got a good idea of what they'll be like, and they should be great (besides psych, it seemed a little sketchy). I had that, macroecon, and environmental studies today, and will have human resource management and a history/immigration/ethnicity class tomorrow. I like the school a lot so far!
Tony and I are kind of having some problems right now. Honestly I'm worried, so a lot of my thoughts are based on that. I really, really hope we can work things out.

Next day I went to the Parade of Homes with my mom, which was really fun. We had a favorite, it had the coolest pool ever. After that we went to Southlands shopping center which was fun as well! I always have fun hanging out with my mom. I went to Chile's for dinner with Tony later.
Next day was Saturday and Tones and I went to see Stardust which I really enjoyed.
I worked for six hours on Sunday which was kind of tough but mom took me and Tony out to Rib City afterwards which was really fun and tasty.
Today I took Becca to her high school registration and just chilled. I was originally going to work but someone wanted my shift and since it's my last week I wasn't really to upset to let it go Only two days left!
Mom and I ran some errands and then we cooked the fish Tony caught Friday. They were tasty!

I had a very interesting day. I opened at work, and did markdowns till 1:30. It was kind of tired and frustrating work, but it made the day go by pretty dang quickly.
Afterwards, I walked to the Mineral Light Rail station to go to Denver to get my school RTD pass and books. It was nice (for a while) to ride it and listen to my iPod. But soon a creepy old man asked me for money (odd for ON the Light Rail), and then asked if I was married and told me I quote "looked good." Totally weird. Some other creepy guy asked me for money as soon as I got off the train, too, and two people on campus asked me if I wanted to talk about "public health" or pollution or some crap like that. I had to say no three times, as one asked me again on the way back. Ugh.
Getting books went all right, I got the majority of them, just not my management or econ books. Don't know what I'll do about that yet, get them later somehow, I'm sure.
I took the train a couple more blocks down and met Tony, he took my books for me so I wouldn't have to carry them home. Then we went to Baja Fresh for lunch, which was tasty as always. He waited with me for my train back to Mineral. That ride went a lot better, though it was crowded. I then walked back to Aspen Grove and almost got hit by a freaking bus. Made me mad.
So I wasn't in the best of moods when I arrived to get my haircut, but telling my mom about it and then getting my hair washed and cut made me feel better. Don't know how it looks yet, it feels/looks shorter, though.
On the way home I called my friend Julie from work (or at least tried), and ended up accidentally getting a hold of the district manager and made a complete fool of myself. Ugh.
Luckily the night's been better since then, I've just been relaxing. I'll probably go to bed pretty soon, and hooray, for I have the next three days off!

Well I had a good week. It went by super fast of course. I can't believe it's already August 8th. I mean, really, wow.
I've been working quite a bit, but I'll have a break this week, I only work three days. After tomorrow's shift I'll get to chill a bit before my last week of work. And tomorrow shouldn't be too bad, as I open, and I always like that better than mid shifts.
I had a mid shift today. Time just CRAWLED by, it was so weird! I was sure glad to go home, but didn't really get in a better mood till I got some food in me Mom, Rebecca and I went to ULTA and Hobby Lobby after having Chick-Fil-A for dinner.
I got an A in my math class! I took my final yesterday and got a 94, so my overall grade was an A as well. I am SO proud of that, let me tell you!
Tomorrow I may head to Denver (all by myself, ahh!) to get my RTD pass and hopefully books. If book lists aren't available I may just wait a little while longer, I don't really fancy going down more times than once.
I'm also getting a hair cut tomorrow which I'm quite excited about, and Thursday I get to see Tony (we have to take Isis BACK to the vet), and Friday I'm going to the parade of homes with my mom, and on Saturday I'm going to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo with Tony! Should be a good few days!

Well I had a good weekend. I didn't work on Friday so my mom and I ran errands, first and most of important of all going to Denver to get my UCD student ID and RTD sticker, and to find out where my classes are. It was fun, it made me excited to go to school there! All my classes are on the same floor of the same building, except for one, which I'll only have on Fridays anyway. Unfortunately, my RTD sticker won't be available till the 6th of August, so I'll have to go back, but at least I can get my books that day.
After we got back to Littleton via Light Rail we ran some regular errands and got things like school supplies.
Later that day I went to Tony's, and we went to Red Robin for dinner and saw The Simpsons Movie. It was fun! We liked it.
Yesterday was pretty weird, we had to take Tony's cat Isis to the vet, which is right by my house, so we brought her by to meet my cat Beamer first. We probably shouldn't have done that, we didn't take her out of her carrier or anything, but she was pretty mad to see Beans and such. And then at the vet...man...she was SO bad, I had to leave the room, I didn't like seeing and hearing her so mad and scary. I felt bad for her, but since she didn't get any of her shots or anything, she'll have to go back and get put under for her to have her check up! Ridiculous.
After a nap and watching some TV the rest of the day, I went to work at 6 to close. It was a weird night, lots of weird customers. Then I headed back to Tony's. So it was just a different kind of day.
Today was fun though, Tony and I went and saw Transformers which we both thought was cool. Then we went to Park Meadows to do some shopping but didn't really enjoy that too much, it was REALLY crowded for some reason! Then we went to Wal-Mart and got groceries and I got some cheap earrings for my second ear piercings.
I open the next three days, I hope that goes well. And only three more math classes left! And I got an A on my last test!

Just wanna run a quick blog before I head to bed.
I worked all week, from Sunday to Thursday. It wasn't too bad. If it was I think I'd remember more of it. I closed on Thursday night which was pretty slow, but at least Julie was there to talk to!
Friday was a lot of fun, my mom and I ran some errands, first we went to work (Ann Taylor, anyway) and each got something. Then we went to Eddie Bauer and had some fun there, too. We also went to the library, Wal-Mart, and the grocery store, and got Chinese food with Becca for lunch. After a few hours I went to Tony's, we hung out and ordered pizza for dinner, and at 11 that night we went to Wal-Mart to get Harry Potter! There were quite a few people there, though it wasn't a party or anything. I dressed up just for the hell of it, I need to take any oppurtunity I can get to wear it! We got the books, then some supplies to make omelettes the next day, and headed home. We read till about 4 in the morning then went to bed.
Next day ALL we did was read. It was a strange but nice day. Tony finished in the afternoon and after a Sonic dessert break I finished that evening. It was a really good book, and although I'm sorry it's over, I accept that it is, and have found closure. And that's all I'll say on the matter!
Today I went to work. Getting a little burned out, I gotta say. Not sure I'll stick with it during the fall. I'll think about it this week and make a FINAL decision, as I keep flipping back and forth.
Four more days of work, and then a day off before working a short shift on Saturday I offered to take for someone. More money I guess. Got a test, tomorrow, too. We'll see how it goes!

Not much has been going on. Saturday was a lot of fun, Ryan and Tammy came over to Tony's and we spent some time by the pool and visited. It was a lot of fun, and Tony made really tasty enchiladas. I love them.
I worked on Sunday, and although I was scheduled to work 7 hours I left after only 4 or so, which was actually very nice, I got a lot of chores done.
Today I worked as well, but only from 10 to 1. Then Julie and I went to Qdoba for lunch which was a lot of fun. After that I went home and laid in the sun for a bit, and then worked out! I'm proud of myself. I'm hoping I can get into it again and start eating better. Qdoba and later Starbucks today did not help that, though! *Sigh*
I had class at 5:30 which I wasn't motivated for at ALL, and afterwards Tony and I got Starbucks and sat outside and talked for a bit, it was nice. I then came home and played Mario Party for a little while, and I will most likely go to bed soon. This day went by fast!

The trouble with school is
They always try to teach the wrong lesson
Believe me, I've been kicked out
Of enough of them to know
They want you to become less callow
Less shallow
But I say: why invite stress in?
Stop studying strife
And learn to live "the unexamined life":

Dancing through life
Skimming the surface
Gliding where turf is smooth
Life's more painless
For the brainless
Why think too hard?
When it's so soothing
Dancing through life
No need to tough it
When you can sluff it off as I do
Nothing matters
But knowing nothing matters
It's just life
So keep dancing through

Dancing through life
Swaying and sweeping
And always keeping cool
Life is fraught-less
When you're thoughtless
Those who don't try
Never look foolish
Dancing through life
Mindless and careless
Make sure you're where less
Trouble is rife
Woes are fleeting
Blows are glancing
When you're dancing
Through life

That wasn't the funnest, and since my family was at the cabin, I was going back and forth to Tony's every day. It was a LOT of driving, I'm glad I get a break for a while, and I'm sure my car is too. It's been doing great, luckily.
Still no news on my new laptop, the Dell rep called me Wednesday, as she said she would, but she didn't have any news for me. She said she'll call me again tomorrow morning, hope she has something to tell me! I'm anxious to have my own computer again. It wasn't so bad since I was at Tony's mostly all week, but now that'll I'll be home more again and have to use this one, I miss my old one. I HATE the keyboard on this thing. I mess up so much! Hopefully I won't have to wait TOO long to get a new one!

I had Saturday off, and I hung out with Tony and we went to his family's house. I have tomorrow off as well, probably won't do much but I have class later tomorrow night. Then it's four more days of work and another day off. Meh. Oh well. Money! $$$

It's been a long couple of days. My four day stretch of work is finally over and I am glad for it! I am exhausted.

I FINALLY got my new car, after a delay since Tuesday. I LOVE it, I can't wait to really use it and make it mine.

My laptop broke AGAIN, so I will probably get a new one now. This is like the 8th time I've had a problem with it. Ridiculous.

I get two days off now which I am very excited about. I'm going to sleep now!

Well I had a pretty good weekend. I didn't work, so it's gotta be good!
Friday morning at 7:30 my family and I headed out to Callaway, Nebraska. After a few stops to eat lunch and "pick up" my grandparents, we arrived at the farm at about 4 Nebraska time (we lost an hour). We didn't do much Friday night, we chilled and had hot dogs for dinner.
Next morning after breakfast we went to the Pioneer picnic and parade. The parade was cute, we got lots of candy. I got a baked potato and two sno cones (strawberry daquiri and honeydew, both were really good). I was pretty tired afterwards, and HOT! It was so humid there! We had steaks for dinner which was pretty good.
Today after breakfast and visiting my great great aunt we headed home. Seemed to take a little longer today, but I'm glad to be home. Work the next four days, but at least I *should* have a new car to look forward to!

Been a while! Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Not sure about that one.

While I was in a bit of a rut about things there for a little while, things seem to be working about better. I'm working a little more, even though some days get a little frustrating. School is going well, I got my first test back today, I got an A! I'm really happy about that.

The thing I'm REALLY excited about is that I got a new car! Well, I don't HAVE it yet, I get it in about a week after it's gotten some things fixed on it, like new tires and a new windshield...I can't wait! Although it's not the coolest looking thing in the world, it's SUPER nice. It's a 2000 Mazda 626. It's top of the line, it's got everything I wanted in a car and more (best features being a Bose sound system, 6 CD-changer, moon roof, and oscillating fans!). It's got leather seats and all the bells and whistles. Plus a V6 engine! I can't wait to get it, as long as everything that needs fixing is done by next Tuesday, I'll get it then. Less than a week and I'll have A/C!

My family and I are going to Callaway, Nebraska this weekend for the Pioneer Picnic and parade, it's going to be a lot of fun. It'll be nice to get out of town, even for just a couple of days!

Well things have pretty much fallen into place and I'm getting a routine. Luckily I'm not stressing so much about not having a job! I'm working at Ann Taylor again, and I'm pretty happy to be back. Hope I get enough hours, and don't spend every paycheck on clothes!

I had my first math class last Wednesday and my second yesterday. I think I'm going to enjoy it. The first class seemed a little long (it's 3 1/2 hours so that's not much of an overstatement), but I learned a lot. The second time went by quicker, but I didn't learn as much, because most of the time was spent re-learning calculator skills that some classmates didn't get the first time around. That was a little frustrating, I hope people are more up to speed tomorrow. I did the "practice" homework today, which seems like sort of a waste as it took almost 2 hours to do and I don't even have to turn it in for credit. But it is practice which will help me with tests. Luckily it's pretty easy stuff right now.

My dad and I have been trying to work a deal with the dealership we bought the Subaru from a few months back, it's been a while and still they haven't found anything for us to trade for. Actually we don't even think they've been trying. But my dad found a nice car, a 2003 Chevy Cavalier. Now a Chevy certainly wasn't our first choice at all, but after having two looks at it, we all feel it'd be a great car for what I need it for. It has most the things I wanted: it's automatic, has AC, a CD player, cruise control, and only 40 some K miles on it. It doesn't have power locks or windows, but as it's a two door I don't think that'd be that big of a deal. I'm really excited about it, I hope we can get something worked out! Unfortunately I'll have to wait till next week to find out.

Not much else going on. At least the weather's been pleasant and I haven't been too scorched in my car.

Well things are finally starting to fall into place, thank goodness. I'm going back to work at Ann Taylor, so I'll have a job next week. I started my math class at ACC and I think it's going to go pretty well! And although my UCD schedule changed a bit I added a different class and got that all worked out too. So I'm starting to relax.

Becca and I got Mario Party 8 yesterday, finally. It took all day for someone to get in a shipment, but finally we got it! Only a couple hours before I had to go to class, of course... But it's so awesome! Really fun to play and it uses the Wii remote really well. I'm excited about it.

Whew. What a weekend! I'm tired!
I went to Tony's on Thursday night and next morning, after a Mickey D's breakfast, we got started moving him to his new condo. We moved for HOURSSSSS....It was exhausting! But we were pretty proud of ourselves afterward! His new place is really nice, it'll be fun to get it all set up.
Next morning I think the day caught up with me and I really hurt my shoulder, I took a shower just fine but when I got dressed my shoulder/neck just HURT like crazy and ached all day. It's finally almost better, though it still aches a bit when I lean back.
Patrick, Ryan, and Tammy came over that morning and helped move all the big stuff which was SUCH a huge help, it didn't take long at all.
After a rest Tony and I ran some errands and then I headed home.
NEXT day I went back to Tony's and we cleaned his old apartment, which wasn't much fun either as we accidentally mixed chemicals and it smelled really nasty and I didn't feel too good afterwards.
Tony had to work for a couple hours last night so I headed home, and after watching Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest Becca invited me to hang out at her boyfriend's house with her, so we all played Wii after getting some Good Times. It was fun! But I was quite tired afterwards and anxious for bed!
This morning I got up around 9 and went to see Shrek the Third with Angie and Brittany. It was great to see them again. The movie was OK, 2 was definitely better, but I was entertained.
When it was over I headed to Tony's, and after playing Guitar Hero II while he showered, we went to see Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. I really liked it, more than Shrek. I hadn't heard too good of things about it but I liked it a lot. It was cool.
We hung out in the hot tub for a little while after the movie and then I went BACK home again
Tomorrow I'm gonna get Mario Party 8 for Wii! I can't wait!!!

Today was fun! I woke up a bit earlier than I have been and went to Ulta to get my eyebrows done for the sort of first time. I got them done once but that was just by my freshman roommate and I didn't really care for it.
It was SO fast, just a couple dabs and swipes and like, half my brows are gone. I really like them, they open up my face! It didn't hurt too bad, either, even I, pain hater, did just fine.
Soon after getting home Becca called and asked if we could go to Starbucks after her bus dropped her off, but I suggested we do lunch instead. We went to Noodles and though it was pretty busy, it was tasty. Then we went to Gamestop to check out some stuff, took Becca's boyfriend over to the middle school, and then went to Hollywood video to see what games they had to rent. We'll probably rent Paper Mario for Wii here pretty soon.
We then went home, and about an hour later I drove to my hair lady Nancy and got my hair cut. I hadn't gotten it done by her in a YEAR! I couldn't believe it. Of course she made it look so pretty and I'll never get it to look like it again, but at least it'll be a little nicer now hopefully.
Man it rained like crazy today, and I think it's still going.
After dinner dad and I went to Home Depot to look at house paint colors and then to Sportsman's Warehouse, then we came back and I watched the Lost finale with Bec and mom. It was good, I'm dissapointed it's over, it's probably my favorite show.
Tomorrow should be kind of fun, too, we're going to try on bridesmaid's dress for my cousin's wedding, and later I'll be going to Tony's as he closes on his condo tomorrow! Yay!

Well it's been a pretty slow week, but to tell you the truth I've enjoyed it. Still haven't heard anything about the shoe job, but most likely I'll call tomorrow and see what's up!
I haven't been doing much, just trying to keep myself busy with drawing, coloring, and making my room the way I want.
Yesterday was fun, I woke up around 10 and Tony and I went to ULTA first thing to get a special promotion they were having, buy nail stuff and get a shell necklace. I was one of the first ones in and got a pink one. I think it's pretty.
A few hours later I headed home, with Tony's computer desk in tow, and set it up. I'm enjoying it, it's so much simpler than the one I had, AND my chair goes all the way under. I then got ready for our night, Becca, mom and I saw "Wicked!" I'll probably be doing some fan art here pretty soon It was a late night though, and I was ready for bed when I got home.
I finished a drawing today and got my last UNC stuff worked out, and I'm finally done with it all. Just gotta worry about my math class that starts in a week and a half, and getting a job...

OK so I'm back in Littleton. It'll take a while to get used to being here again but I'm sure it'll turn out fine.

I mostly packed and cleaned Thursday and Friday, and Tony came up Friday night, which was nice, because I was going crazy with boredom/loneliness. We went to Outback for dinner which was awesome, but it was a mistake to get the Bloomin' Onion. After getting some essentials, including more boxes, we packed up the rest of my stuff.

Next morning I got bright and early and did some last minute cleaning and packing. My parents got there around 9:30, and amazingly, we were all packed up and ready to go around 10:30! Luckily I got to move my check out time up a bit so I was all moved out by 11. We all went to Culver's for lunch, including uncle Johnny, aunt Linda, and Sydney. It was fun and tasty, but so filling! We all drove back to Littleton in our respective cars heh. I was not looking forward to moving all my stuff back in but it had to be done. Lazy Tony took a nap while I did the work I got kind of overwhelmed and stressed after a while, it was just SO much stuff and I didn't have much space in the first place. Luckily I calmed down after some dinner and resting, and took a short nap.

Yesterday Becca and I went to EB games and got Donkey Conga 2 and a free set of bongos, it's such a fun game, like Guitar Hero but with bongos LOL. We ended up getting another pair of bongos later that day when Tony arrived. We're really enjoying it.

Tony came over around 3:30 and Pop-Pop and Jaccie arrived around 4. It was great to see them again. We ate a few hours later, a great dinner of steaks, potatoes, salad, and strawberry cream pie! I was stuffed afterwards. After Family Guy Tony and I headed back to his place, where I pretty much went to bed, then woke up, then got ready and went to the Colorado state parks office.

My mom had told me about a campground reservation agent position there that sounded really good for me, but they weren't hiring till June, and I didn't get that great of a feeling from it.

Luckily I had an interview at Off Broadway Shoe Source a few hours later that went really well! I'm excited about it, I should hear from them later this week.

I went to lunch at Baja Fresh with Tony and then came home where Bec and I played Donkey Conga, we had dinner, watched Dancing with the Stars, and set up our new fast DSL. I'm pretty tired and will most likely go to bed soon!

Well I am DONE with UNC! I had my last final today. Monday's accounting final I think went pretty well, although I blanked on a problem. Yesterday's law and art finals were tougher then I thought they'd be but I still think I did OK. And today's calculus final was cake, I'm actually gonna get an A in a math class!
So now all I have to do is pack and sit around. What fun I'll probably get pretty bored but at least I have a lot of nice things to look forward to. Here are some of them:
"Wicked" on the 20th
"Pirates" coming out on the 25th
Interview at Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse on Monday
Moving on Saturday
Mario Party 8 for Wii coming out on the 29th
Spending time with Tony, family, and old friends

Too bad I have to start my math class on the 30th...oh well, that shouldn't be too bad. And Tony'll have a class right at the same time so that'll be kind of cool.

So it's Sunday afternoon already. Crazy. It hasn't been the best of weekends...I've been studying for accounting and business law. I think accounting will be OK...I was kind of freaking out this morning because there are SO many equations to memorize...but I just buckled down and worked on them and I'm getting them just fine. I really just want it to be over with. Accounting will be the toughest, and the most important. Law is slightly important but won't be too hard, and art and math won't be bad at all. Luckily those are my last two. I can't wait for them all to be done so I can start packing. I got four big boxes from King Sooper's today so that should help with the packing.
So it's pretty much a given that I'm not gonna get to keep the Subaru, Emich Volkswagon is gonna keep an eye out for something else I may like and if they find something we'll trade. I'm a little disappointed, but at least I didn't get too attached to the car yet.
Still not feeling too good, but at least my nose isn't so completely stuffy today.

It's been a pretty good week so far, I can't believe it's already Thursday night. I got two major projects turned in this week so all I have to focus on now is four finals, as I took my marketing test online today. Did OK...I could still pull an A in the class, I'll probably go talk to my teacher tomorrow to see what's up.
Still no word on my car...Emich Volkswagon said they'd try and find me a new car. Not sure what that means exactly...would we trade for it or what? I'd be dissapointed to lose my car, especially so soon after getting it, but I guess it would be nice to get something a little nicer, and everything I really liked in the car can be found in anything similar, so I guess I wouldn't be missing out on much really. We'll see. I hope I found out soon.
Got the whole ACC thing figured out. I went to AIMS today to try and take the algebra test again, but since they required that I apply for the school AND pay $25 bucks, I decided not to. I'll take the prereq to college algebra instead and get the refresher course I need, and take college algebra some other time. I feel pretty good about that. So this summer I'll be taking Survey of algebra and it's lab from 5:30 to about 9 on Mondays and Wednesdays. Meh.
Still no job oppurtunities really popping up, I applied for the Container Store today as I heard they are really good to their employees and pay well, and it's similar to LNT so at least I have some experience with that type of product. We'll see if I hear back!
Not feeling too good tonight...I think all of my friends have been sick, plus an awful sounding girl that I sit next to in one of my classes...so I guess it's no wonder I caught it, too. I was just amazed at how quickly it hit. Oh well, knowing me, I'm sure I'll feel better in the morning. But it might be smart to get some lotion tissues tomorrow just in case...

I know it's been a while since I've written, a lot has been going on. Things have been up and down. It's kind of been a blur so I'm unsure of what to write...I'm feeling pretty positive about the upcoming weeks, all I have to worry about this week is a project for marketing and a paper for art. Neither should be that big a deal, and both are due early in the week, so when they're done I'll be able to focus on finals, as I'm staying in Greeley the weekend before.

One thing I do remember happening is my car kind of "broke down," it's not dead but I wasn't allowed to drive it. On Tuesday it started making this awful clicking noise, so I took it to my uncle's so he could look at it, and then I took it to the Subaru dealership in town, he said I shouldn't drive it to Denver. So on Friday my dad and grand-dad came up to Denver and rented a trailer to take it back down to Denver to get repaired. Hopefully I'll know what's wrong with it by next week, and luckily the dealership we brought it from will pay for half. Hopefully it won't even be that expensive or serious.

This weekend has been nice, relaxing, Tony and I have just been being lazy.

I got an OK grade on my calc test this morning but have an amazing grade in the class overall, so that was good news as well.
Later today I'm going to the open math lab to get some help studying for that algebra test I have this weekend. I'm sure that will go well. I already feel pretty good about it.

Well I've been in a funk for the last couple of days, caused by too much worrying and not enough action. I had to take a placement test at ACC on Saturday to get into college algebra, but didn't pass. I should be able to next time I try, thanks to a study guide and possible tutoring, but that doesn't stop me from worrying about it and all the possible problems it could cause if I don't pass. I'm making myself ill I'm worrying so much, and I don't feel like myself. I can only hope by this time next week I'll just have to worry about finals and do the best I can with those.

I had two tests today, art and accounting. I think both went well, we'll see!

I saw Disturbia today with Shawna. I liked it a lot! I'd recommend it.

Last week ended fine, it wasn't too eventful.

I went home on Thursday afternoon, and on Friday my mom and I drove my new car down to Denver so I could have my UCD advising appointment. It went well, I got my major declared (management) and got my classes planned out for next semester. Afterwards, we went to lunch at Rock Bottom Brewery and shopped around the 16th Street Mall which was lots of fun. I got a new Hello Kitty decal for my car, and some camis and a t-shirt from Ann Taylor Loft. Man they have cute stuff! Back in our part of town we went to Target and Southwest Plaza.

Later that night I went to Tony's.

This morning we woke up around 10 and got ready to go to the art museum. We had delicious french toast for breakfast. My sister and her boyfriend were going to go with us, so I texted Becca to let her know we were going to be a little late picking them up. She texted me back wondering if I'd talked to our mom or dad this morning yet, and I said no, knowing something was wrong. Turns out my Escort got beat up last night (I drove the Subaru to Tony's), the front and back windshields were broken (the back was pretty much gone), and a front light was broken. They didn't take my stereo or CDs though, which doesn't make any sense. I was pretty upset about it this morning but I'm all right now. Dad had already started tracking down some new windshields by the time my mom and sister called me to tell me. It just sucks, that poor car has gone through so much shit, and for what? It's always drunk or stupid people that just pick out a car to mess with. It's pathetic. I'm just glad it wasn't my Subaru that got hit.

The art museum was pretty fun, kind of crowded, and I was tired and a little sad. It was cool to see some works by world-famous artists like Monet and Picasso though. Afterwards we got Baja Fresh for a late lunch and I got the Kit Kat blizzard I'd been wanting. It wasn't as good as I'd hoped, they never are! We got takeout tiramisu for Tony at Maggiano's and then headed home, where I fell asleep for about 3 hours, which was really unexpected and weirded me out. We ordered pizza for a late dinner and watched "Monster House," and I'm sure we'll be going to bed soon, I'm surprised I'm as tired as I am.

As the subject line says, I had a good weekend. On Friday afternoon after class I headed down to Lakewood where I met my dad at his work, and we cruised down Colfax looking for cars. Didn't find much, it's a pretty shady area. I got some delicious Qudoba for dinner, and soon after I finished that, dad and I headed out to Colorado Blvd. to check out another car we found. It's a 2000 Subaru Legacy L (or something like that). We test drove it, and I liked it pretty well, so we decided to sleep on it. We went to Burt Toyota too but didn't find anything.

I went to Tony's after that, and the next day we went to the zoo! It was lots of fun, as it usually is. The weather was pretty perfect, but it was a little crowded. We saw lots of good animals and I got some fun pictures. It was a great outing.

Dad and I decided we liked the car so he, mom, Tony, and I met back at Emich Volkswagon really check out the car, as it did have some possible issues. It had a rattling, which turned out to just be a loose heat thingy, and it is worn a LITTLE bit, but after test driving it more and spending time around it, I decided I liked it. So we dealed with the guy, it wasn't the most fun experience (it never is) but we ended up getting a great deal! I was kind of shell-shocked at first, but I got more excited as the night went on. For dinner Tony and I went to Cheeburger Cheeburger which was really tasty.

Today I went back home to fix up and clean my car a bit. It was fun. I also drove it a bit more and got my first tank of gas. My dad's taking it to emissions tomorrow so we'll see how that goes!

I went back to Tony's at 3 and we then went to his parents house which was really fun and had tasty food.

We watched Family Guy back at his place and then I went back to Greeley where I am now syncing up my iPod and such. I'm definitely more positive about this week than I was last week, especially since I get to go home Thursday instead of Friday, as I have an advising appointment in Denver on Friday.

Well the rest of my Spring break continued to be good. Thursday afternoon mom and I ran some errands, and I ate too much.
I went to Tony's Thursday night since my family was going to Moab the next morning.
The weekend was pretty uneventful, Tony and I looked at some more condos and Tony chose one. It's pretty awesome.
That night we went to the Cool River Cafe with Ryan and Tammy which was lots of fun, they didn't card me so I got to have some wine. I wonder why those fancy places don't check IDs! There was also a really nice cigar room that was really relaxing, though I didn't have a cigar.
On Sunday Tony and I relaxed, we watched TV and I played video games.
I hated to go back to Greeley last night, it felt like I had the weight of the world on my shoulders...I'm feeling a little better today, though.

Well I had my first girly medical exam yesterday. I won't go into details, but all is well

After that appointment, Tony and I headed to ACC where he took two tests. I drew in the library during, and got a mermaid drawn and inked. Afterwards, we got delicious Vanillaberry smoothies at Sister's. We then headed to Colorado Mills where I went to the Sanrio store and got some Hello Kitty headphones (usin' 'em right now!) and some Charmmy Kitty stickers

At 2:30 Tony had a broker meeting. I tagged along and was a bit bored We then headed back to his place and I packed up and went home. I didn't do much.

Today was lazy, I woke up around 10:30, ate breakfast, went to Wal-Mart...I colored that mermaid drawing. I watched America's Next Top Model and Lost, and applied to ACC so I can take a math class over summer.

Tomorrow is gonna be kind of lazy too, but I don't mind. I'd like to get a new ID drawn.

Last week ended pretty well, especially since I got to go back to Littleton on Thursday morning, since accounting class was "optional" on Friday, which was awesome! I had lunch with Tony at Jimmy John's on Thursday afternoon and then went home. I didn't do much that night, but the next day, my mom and I went shopping at Park Meadows which was lots of fun. We both got some new clothes, and I got some new shoes.
On Saturday, my mom and dad and I went to look at cars. We're looking for a Nissan Altima or Sentra, a Toyota Corolla or Camry, or something like a Mazda protege or anything similar, just something reliable, small, with good mileage and not TOO many miles on it yet. Saturday was a little frustrating, it didn't seem like our perfect car even existed, we first went to the Go Supersale at Mile High, they had a lot of nice cars but they were really overpriced. Next we went to Rocky's Auto, which was kind of creepy. I test-drove a Ford Focus, which was cute, but I didn't like the way it drove, it kind of took forever to get going.
We then went to two little dealerships on Broadway, where I test-drove a 99 Corolla and a...2001 Protege. I liked both fine, but I enjoyed the Corolla more. We'll see how the rest of our search goes.
I went to dinner with Tony and his mom on Saturday at Romano's for Tony's birthday, which was delicious and fun. Yesterday Tony and I didn't do much before we went back to my house for a delicious birthday dinner and cake for Tony and Becca's boyfriend Ryan.
Tony is 24 today! We went to the art museum but it was CLOSED! SO dissapointing. Instead we got tiramisu for Tony at Maggiano's and then lunch at Popeye's chicken which wasn't great. We went to J. Alexander's for dinner, which was awesome as usual, but SOO filling.
Tomorrow's gonna be pretty busy. I'm not much looking forward to it
