So I gave it a try and naturally it didn't work. It would send static through the headphones (I tried more than one pair of headphones) and it would shut off randomly and not turn back on (and the battery was fully charged). I even tried restarting it like the help website said and it would NOT turn on. Geek squad tested it at the store and they said it was definitely defective.

So I exchanged that one for a new one a week later. This one was definitely new, but it worried me when I got home and saw that the bottom of the box says "for sale in Canada only." Yeah...weird, since I'm in the US. Well, turns out that one is defective too! Same static as the first one, and the battery will not stay charged at all. I charged this thing for five hours and got 45 minutes of play!!!! Now I have to return that one too.

To make matters worse, I bought a case for the second Zune that came with a screen guard, so the screen would stay nice and unscratched. Only problem is, the freakin' screen guard was not in the package! And they wouldn't believe me, so I couldn't return the darn thing either. I'm going to a different Best Buy location next time, because this just shouldn't be happening. I don't think the Zune product is the problem, I think that my local store just resells defective returned crap. I'm spending a lot of money on a MP3 player here, and I want it to be in working order!

Anyway, rant over now. Just needed to get that out.

I LOVE going around curves! It's so much fun. I met some really nice people in the class too. We were mostly beginners who had never ridden before, so we all supported each other. And the instructors (there were 3) were great too. The bike I rode was a Honda Nighthawk, not sure what year but it was fairly old. Her name was Mercedes (all the bikes had stickers with names so we could remember what one we rode, ha).

So yeah, I passed the class, so now in four weeks I'll be getting my new license in the mail with a cycle endorsement! I'm so happy! All I need now is a bike of my own. Stinking college, taking all my money. I'd like a Yamaha R6 someday ([link]), but I'll probably start with something a bit smaller first.

On a happier note, I had an interview last Friday (yes, Friday the 13th, lol) and it went great. I think I'll have the same summer job I had last year, which makes me very happy. I have to be a counselor for sixth grade girls for two weeks while they attend a summer camp. The camp introduces them to engineering and aviation. A good experience for them, and easy money for me.

For the Japanese cars will the silly winey exhaust.....putting 500 HP in a Civic is like putting Granite Counter Tops and a Plasma TV into your mobile home at the trailer park....why bother? Why not spend the money on a nicer unit first? Now, a 3000 GT or Supra is nice, but a stock Saleen s351r with 510 HP, yes stock with 510, will eat any stock Japanese car (including NSX), and most souped up ones. Put a few dollars under the hood of that Saleen and look out, no beefed Japanese car will touch it.

Mustangs are the best.
Dude, I just spend $90,000 on my Honda Civic and put 17 turbos on the 75 HP 4 cylinder, and that Mustang Saleen s351r just beat me by 9 car lengths.

Thank God it was returnable. It wasn't the worst game I have ever played, but it certainly was not what I expected. Has anyone here every played The Sims? Well, it was like playing that, except with aliens, predators and marines. I thought it would be a first person shooter game, which aparently most of the other AVP games are, I just got stuck with one of the few that are not. I'm extrememly glad that I got my money back for it though, since it was overpriced anyway (especially for a used game). It's too bad the game wasn't more fun, because the advertising for it is sure funny. See for yourself [link]

Anyway, after returning it I was still thirsty for a new game. So I did some research and found out that the Alien vs. Predator 2 (PC) game released back in 2001 is more like what I was hoping for, and it's still pretty popular today even though it's graphics are old. So I snagged one from Ebay for a gloriously low price, brand new factory sealed. I am so excited! It should get here just in time for Thanksgiving break. I have been occupying myself with lots of AVP stuff lately. I guess it's keeping me busy until Transformers Revenge of the Fallen comes out. But I'm sure I'll immerse myself in Transformers lore once again as soon as I see the new movie.

I was (and still am) crazy about Transformers. However, while waiting for Revenge of the Fallen to hit theaters, I have rediscovered the Alien vs. Predator universe. Yay for Xenomorphs! I also recently discovered an anime called “Brave Police: J-Decker” which I’m getting into, but it’s hard to find translated episodes!

These next few weeks are going to be tough . . . I miss art!

So much for getting up at noon like I had planned.

I had such a crazy dream last night! *squee* I was at some air show with my mom and I was freaking out because there were a bunch of F-22s there. I was like, "Mom look at all the Starscreams! Mom! MOM! STARSCREAMS!" And then this techno/rock theme music started playing and this announcer guy said "And now it's time to meet the true leader of the Decepticons . . ." and Starscream came out of nowhere and was getting into the theme music. But he was purple. I don't know why he was purple, but he was. So then I got angry for some reason and said "That deceptive bastard! He's trying to trick us all!!!" So I bought a TFA coloring book to make myself feel better. Then Sari and her dad were there and they had clones of themselves made but they were EVIL CLONES so they were running from them. So I got tired and went back to college to show everyone my cool TFA coloring book only to realize that they were all panicking because it was snowing in the middle of summer. For some reason I said "Oh, Prowl's not gonna like this." And then I went home and found out I now lived in a house-boat. My dog then turned into a chihuahua (she's a pitbull/pointer mix in real life) and I woke up.

If you actually took the time to read that, you must be either awfully confused or laughing your ass off right now. Or maybe both.

Just like that. For no apparent reason at all, the power went out! It was a sunny day outside, not storming or anything, and the power just went out! I had been working on that thing for three hours! I would have been saving it but I was working with the pen tool and so the line paths don't get saved anyway until you fill them in, and I don't usually fill them in until I'm all done perfecting them. So, no awesome picture of Prowl today. It was really coming out good, too. Maybe next weekend, if I feel like it, I'll start it again. I guess bad things do come in threes: first I got the flu, then I got behind in my classes, and now my Prowl picture is gone. lol At least now that means I can look forward to good things happening again!

Oh, and I promise to make my next journal entry a happy one, since the last two have been mostly me complaining about crap. lol

Btw, did everyone have a good Labor Day? What did you do? I slept in! lol

But then a day later I got better and even managed to go to my last class of the day. I got better so fast that it was wierd. However, I have two problems now:

1. I'm behind in chemistry and calculus. NOT GOOD! And it's only the first week of school! Gah. At least I'll be able to catch up during Labor Day recess. Maybe I'll even be able to draw something, since I haven't in a while.

2. I have a slight fear of eating now, since I couldn't keep anything down for a whole day. I HATE THE FLU!!! I'll get over it soon (hopefully).

So I guess that's all for now. Hope everyone has a great Labor Day!

Now, along with my random story, I have some good news: I GOT A NEW LAPTOP!!! I am so happy! I have already plastered it with Optimus Prime and Bumblebee stickers! It's about time I bought a new one, as the screen on my old one was flickering like an annoying flourescent light. Ha. Gah, that laptop is ancient.
