The Enterprise has suffered severe damage when we entered into an uncharted area of the Gamma Quadrent. A race of Humanoid creatures, called Vulpines, attacked us when we entered their space. They did not respond to any diplomatic requests. We were out numbered 1 to 100,000. My Tactical Officer tapped into their communications and we discovered some valuable information. Their small ships are called Arwings, the armada that attacked us was called the "Star Fox Assault Team," and their commander is a Vulpine named "Fox McCloud." After the Enterprise is repaired, we will return and try to have diplomatic terms with this newly discovered race.

It's amazing, we left Drydock only 3 months ago, and we have already suffered this kind of damage.


Captian's log; supplemental:

The complete damage report has just been given to me. It seems that both the Enterprise and the Star Fox Team have suffered heavy casualties. The Enterprise cannot be salvaged. We lost the starboard warp nacelle, and over 1,216 crewmen were lost in both hull breaches and plasma explosions. We only have 784 crewmen left. My First Officer was killed in a plasma explosion in Engineering along with my Chief Engineer. We are still are almost 2,000 light years from home. We can only hold warp 1.5. I estimate it will take at least 16 years to get home at this speed. The slipstream drive is beyond repair. We have sent a subspace distress call to Starfleet Headquarters. I hope that they send the new rescue ship to get us. Until then, I hope we can survive until then.
