So I came back on here because I realized that Gaia Online just doesn't do it when you wanna talk to people AND post artwork.
Deviant art works a lot better for that.
So now I get to use my still horribly crappy scanner to put stuff on here and show my hopefully-improved art skillz xD
And I really miss some people on here :<

So...things I've been up to lately include:
-Making more costumes
-Drawing stupid crap <3
-Planning comics with friends
-Planning videos with friends (that I'll most likely end up posting links to)
-Planning too many costumes

I'm still using duct tape and rulers with building costumes and still love drawing by hand, although I've definitely gotten better with my tablet at least a little bit :3
And I've started making paper dolls. I wanna try and sell them sometime

Oh and I got myself hooked once again to Treasure Planet.
Horray for resurrecting 9 year old obsessions!

I've noticed the new layout of dA....it's confusing 8D <3
So I get to relearn all this stuff and try to figure out what the heck I'm doing :'D

Oh, also, as mentioned earlier I got myself back into loving Treasure Planet. This means that - cause I'm such a dork xD; - my brain has automatically started planning a John Silver costume.
I like the idea so much that I'm actually gonna do it :'D
I'm a short female, but so what. I'm dressing up as this big fat guy anyway xD
It'd be glorious if I can get one of my friend's to be Jim, but I don't know who would want to be him Owo I'll just have to hope for dumb luck to bring about a Jim at a random con I guess xD

So yush! Anime Boston is finally here! AND! This is my first time ever going to it >w< Hopefully, at least. Unless something happens D:
My entire anime club (well, ALMOST all of them) are going on this trip in costumes, so this is gonna be so damn awesome I myself won't be able to contain myself >v<
And, in celebration to this marvelous event, a few friends and I have come to school wearing some parts of our costumes XD
But me, being the obnoxious whore I am, I'm wearing ALL of my costume.

And I was sure not to post anything about this costume at all on Deviant Art to keep it as a surprise |D

Oh, and I'm still not telling. I'm definetly posting a picture by the end of the day, though, since I'm really really excited right now almost to the point of me randomly giggling :3

My friend told me about a game he plays called Half Life 2, and he told me about these two characters, [link] and D0g.

So, yes, in other news....

I went to the New York Anime Festival not too long ago and was to dumb to make a journal 8D *gets shot*
I went as Kikuchiyo, and, curious, I counted the number of people who recognized who I was.
I got 36 people by Sunday!
One of them being a little girl, another being someone who was selling stuff, and another being Jesus!
Heheh, yeah, there was a guy dressed as Jesus there. I got a hug from him XD
Oh, and the girl who was selling stuff told me that whe was going to dress up as Kyuzo but didn't finish her costume in time D8
And she lives in California, so I dunno if I'll get to see her again! DX
I should've gotten her card or something...
Oh well.
I ran into a group of people I know from school and Connecticon
And me and my friend have a chance of being in the Shojo Beat magazine (which I am flipping out about )

At least it'll look decent. I mean, I got the sword done, the jacket won't take too long, the glove will take maybe an hour or so, and the boots are no problem. The biggest situation, though, is the shoulderpads. Those will be tricky to do >x< But worst case scenario, I walk around without shoulderpads, or I just wear a costume that I've worn before (that isn't destroyed
I really wanna get it going though cause I'm planning on wearing it during school on Halloween XD
They're letting me bring in my sword!!
Well, not my Kiku sword, but a smaller replica of it
Like a Katana-style one.
So I gotta pull that together, but that won't take long.

I gots a fadora (it's a hat :3 I love hats....X3), 2000 Wii Points, a quill with ink and a journal, two poems from 's sister, an absolutely amazing drawing from (I shall post it very soon, just at the moment I am having imageshack problems , Mario Party 8 (totally badass), Prince of Persia Rival Swords (I haven't played it yet, but it looks sickly badass), an Optomis Prime helmet (it's gotta voice changer! XD)(and it was from my mom XP), a blue wig, a finger-armor-thing that is totally awsome (it gotta alien from themovie Alien on it), a gift card worth about $150 for a shop called Happy Daze (I yelped when I saw that, I love that store so much XP)
And the best present of all...

Oh, you know when you draw some guy you haven't drawn in awhile and you realize how much fun it is so you start drawing him alot?

I did a really good picture of him in my school planner on the first day of school (not very long after I got it in fact XD) and I colored it too. I'm very happy with myself. :3
And using white-out to color the white areas worked amazingly.
It blocks out the lines from the planner that make the pure white parts look weird.

I think I need help with this damn helmet.

If you got a spiffy idea, do (PLEASE) sketch it up and post it on DA, send me the link to your picture! I shall look through them all and come up with an awesome helmet with bits of your helmet designs and mesh them together into one!

Really, all I'm looking for in the helmet, though, is a black and/navy blue and silver colors. That's it. EDIT: Upon luck, I have come across a rather good helmet design in a book at Barnes and Noble today. I will post it in this journal so you guys can see what I found. If you wish, you can still post your idea! I'm not saying not to!!

Now, first I have to find and buy a trench coat that I think will work with the current design and colors, then I may need help with the torso/ back design.
I think I may have something in mind for the legs/feet, but I'm not sure...

If you think of anything for the helmet, torso/back, or legs/feet, do tell me! I'm open for your ideas!

EDIT #2: I have posted the two helmet ideas I have come up with, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't still post your helmet designs! I'm not going to start to build this costume until I know what the whole costume is going to look like!

let's see, the Kikuchiyo costume I'm working on hasn't made much progress. This is it so far in a nut shell:

•Stilts: Need to add heel support and paint boots
•Jacket: Need to buy bedsheet and green cloth
•Pants: Need to go to Big and Tall Man Depot (that's gonna be really awkward...)
•Sword: Finished
•Helmet: Finish measurments. Finish cutting out "faceplate"
•Chestplate: Need tofind bases for shaping and plan structure
•Belt: Need to buy belt and (if needed) paint it green
•Gloves: Need remaining cloth from bedsheet for jacket to make outside layer of gauntlet gloves OR buy white gloves and sew cuffs with hidden cardboard as support.

well, i'm starting the helmet () and god it's hard. i'm having trouble fitting out the faceplate, imagine how the rest of the helmet will be!

anyway, since my scanner's finally working i'm going to update ALL my pictures, cause now they don't have to look crappy anymore! but yeah, scanner's working, now i can have some fun...>w>

and i got photoshop back on my computer!! now I can really screw around with still-pictures of reality and make no sense at all! woohoo! :woot:

Helmet: OHMYGOD! I got the wi~g! ♪♫ happy day!!!!

Arms: You know...I've been thinking about this for awhile...I don't think i'm going to do anything special for the arms. It's too much of a hassle and it would be alot easier to just use my own hands, not to mention that it'll be a crap load easier to do my random poses! xD. So no arm extensions, I'm going with my own fleshy arms!

Gloves: I'm going to find white gloves, turn them inside out, and sew on the large cuffs, then when I turn them rightside out (yeah...pretend that makes sense, ok?) they'll look good :3

Stilts: GUYS!! the stilts are nailed together, the velcro's on, and today i walked on them FOR THE FIRST TIME!!! >xD it was so freaking cool! they're still not done, but it's safe to walk on them, so now i'm walking around the house with them, and i'm getting the hang of it rather fast! i'll post pictures as soon as possible!

Pants: AHAH! I found out about a store called Big and Tall Men Depot. exactly what i was looking for; pants for tall people. Hopefully I'll find something there, although it will be a little awkward to go in the store...

Shoes: Ok, we're going to paint my dad's old motorcycle boots red and nail them too the wood. God, they're perfect!!

Chestplate:

Overcoat: My grandmother is going to teach me how to use a sewing machine...oh boy...

Belt: I found the PERFECT belt at Marshals! The exact color green i need, no special designs on it, easy to use (and hide) buckle, but for some odd and confusing reason it's 60 freaking dollars. Meanwhile, I found a very nice vase that was made of stained glass and very elegant that was $40. What the hell!?

and I are both making costumes, so check her's out too!

and maybe a sharpie or two.

i would mix combinations around and come up with some pretty awesome results, so i decided to start it up again, except i now added the White-Out pen and a toothpick to my list. yes, a toothpick. i guess i'm only really gonna use those when it comes to making the shines/light reflections in the eyes though, cause they work WONDERFULLY with that. i just drew a couple of really badass eyes that i'm definetly gonna post as soon as i can, i'm really proud of these.

Also, I got the coolest doll from the shop there! Teh Black Night :3 It's so funny, you can pull off his arms and legs, haha. I'll post some pics of it cause I love it along with my other dolls (whenever I go somewhere 'special', i usually buy a doll from it.)(Dolls are way more badass than T-shirts, haha, especially if they have de-attachable limbs! xD)

Now I'm sitting here eating Hershey Cake and doing homework (i really wanna draw...i just drew three pictures at 2:30 this morning and i really wanna do more...aagh...).


Anyway, in other news...well, i think about 12 kids in my school got arrested for underage drug use. Yup. Half the wrestling team and a few other people. Normally, I would be saying "Dumbasses, what idiots." and I am now, but also, my friend was one of the people who was caught smoking. Isn't that just PEACHY? He was a good kid too, a guy with an odd but great sense of humor, then he started smoking after he joined the wrestling team and he's been different ever since. And it didn't start long ago either, maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago. He smoked before school, before tests...dammit, every time i talked to that kid he was high. But to make matters worse, I heard that because he lives in a different town that he's been expelled while others have been suspended. EXPELLED. and I can never see him cause we live far apart from each other, which sucks even more cause we always hung out in school and were best of pals. goddammit WHY did he smoke on school grounds!? even a RETARD would know that they would get caught. Hell, why did he even START smoking!!? did he think that getting high and slowly KILLING himself would make him feel BETTER!? man, all my friends are like family to me, even the ones i don't hang out with much, so to someone else it would probably be like "Goddammit he's smoking," but to me, when I found out he was arrested, I got so pissed off, I was walking through the school with my friends screaming "Fuck" on the top of my lungs (to my surprise, no teachers told me to stop), then, when I got home, i started to cry. CRY. i was CRYING over my friend being a retard. And then when I found out that he was expelled, god, that was the icing on the cake, i flipped out. i'm still incredibly pissed off at my friend for getting himself into this mess, next time i see him, without my own self control, i may just slap him. i am so outraged my the little asshole who caused him to START smoking too. if i ever find out who made him start smoking so help me god they will never see the light of day again.

...i'm really pissed off, i'm gonna take a break from my homework and draw...i'll see you guys later.

there weren't alot of people dressed up though, in fact, i barely saw anyone in costumes except for star wars (of course). but hey, i'm gonna be in a comic some guy is making. =3 it's about him going to a convention and hitting on girls, who then beat the crap out of him, and he asked me to pretend to hit him in the head with the guitar i had xD

like i said, it was SO MUCH FUN and i REALLY wanna go again sunday. hopefully there will be more people in costumes, haha

But as soon as the idea of this comic came in my head I couldn't stop laughing for some reason (i didn't find it THAT funny...) and my mom got kinda worried...but once i told her the idea she said we should buy a pie and record me re-acting the comic myself xD

i agree with her, sadly, you guys won't know what the idea is just yet cause 1. I can't take a pic of it and post it here cause it wont come out well AND you wont be able to read what they're saying and 2. cause I gotta find a scanner (as well as a more sane sense of humor (just kidding, i like my odd self too much to do that, haha)).


EDIT: OH MY GOD!!! i just found out about a comic that was made in 1998 (and also looks really familiar) called Battle Chasers and there's a guy named Calibretto and i wanna try and draw him SO BADLY but i cant cause I SUCK!! Dx

something that makes it hard though is that my scanner wont work for some reason...which is a huge pain. but i have a camera in my cell so i can work something with that..

Well, let's see, what am I working on...ok, I got 1 movie still being planned, 1 in the making, and 1 where I still need to find a rubber bass fish.

...yeah. a rubber fish. xD (if anyone knows where a prop store is somewhere or a website, please tell me!)

I'm also thinking of starting a comic, but I can't draw (normal) people for my life so I'm just gonna grab a bunch of random characters i made up and make something out of it, haha

hey, speaking of characters, my mind's been overflowing with new ideas, even though I still haven't finished planning one of my newest characters name Rin (I'll try posting a picture of him as soon as possible ), but i think i have found two characters that I made up basically at the same time for a comic. they just need names (I'll also post this very soon, I have pictures already).
