I have no kids, yet 5 to shop for. I have no job, but had to draw a name at Thanksgiving. The adults in my family draw names at Thanksgiving to see who buys who a Christmas present. I hate being 19, because now i'm part of that, even though everyone knows I don't have a job right now. I liked it better when the adults shopped for me and I didn't have to worry about that, but oh well. So, I got my aunt's name.

I need money so bad I put my Samsung Digital Camera on EBAY. I'm hoping to get a little bit of money for that. I'm gonna end up putting a Photoshop 7.0 Disk on ebay aswell..but it's been gay the last 2 days and not letting me put it on there.

I have prints and stuff for sale, but i've never sold anything on here..so I can't really expect anything there.


I really need to look for a job soon.
I was thinking about applying as a Security Guard where my sister works and working with her, but, I highly doubt she will help me get another job after me quitting the last one she helped me get. Ah well. We'll see what happens.

I don't know though...I just realized for that being my FIRST job, and me only being 19, 12 hours a day is alot to deal with. Not to mention I would have been working for 18 full days and then getting a 3 days weekend off, only to go back in and do the same thing again for another 18 days.

If I would have already had some experience with working, I don't think that I would have just quit like that. I just knew I couldn't handle that job for very long, so I cut it short.

I gotta go in today sometime after 2 [it'll be 2 in 20 minutes] to pick up my check for those couple of days. Hell, it should be over $200 just for those days so..atleast i'll have SOME money..although I already have my sister and mother wanting money from me. Blah. Whatever. I feel REALLY stupid though, having to go in and face them after quitting after 2 freakin' days. I haven't seen them since I quit going to work. I wish my sister could bring the check home to me but...I don't know if that will work.

Blah..this sucks. Oh well. I'll just look for another job.
In the mean time, i'm still here and able to submit. I've got a couple of more things i'll definitely be submitting within the next couple of days. I'm going to my sister's probably tomorrow, and i'm going out this weekend, and my camera will be tagging along wherever I go, so..expect stuff!

I got the job. Without an interview. It was crazy

Basically the chick looked at my application for like 2 seconds, asked if I could go take the drug and alcohol test, told me where to go..and then gave me a pair of coveralls and told me i'd need some steel-toe boots, safety glasses and a hard hat. I was thinking 'Ok..so..I have the job? Already? o.O'

I took the alcohol test and passed. I took the drug test and BETTER have passed, because I don't do drugs. After the drug test clears, they're gonna do a background check which I will pass.

Then I have to take a couple of tests and I should start working monday.
I'm excited! I'll be making $1000.00 a week. That's alot of money, so of course I'm gonna do whatever I can to make this job work and last.

I'll be working 12-13 hours a day; 18 days straight, then have a 3 days weekend, then work 18 days, etc. It may seem like alot but everyone keeps telling me it's "easy money" and i'm thinking for $4000.00 a month, it's worth it.

I'll be able to renew my subscription and hopefully buy a new camera.


Also, I took a couple of Halloween pictures of my 2 youngest niece's. I plan on getting more of them and my other 2 niece's and nephue so...expect some pictures closer to the end of the month.

Okay. So, the job thing DIDN'T quite work out as planned.

It was a scam. I mean..[i was told] i'd be getting paid $2200.00 a month, and I was supposed to get paid weekly, but then we found out that we have to actually sale something that week in order to get paid, which is bullshit because the first day, we were at work 13 and a half hours..we didn't even get back to the office til after 1am. I'm busting my ass and I expect to get paid, whether I sale something or not.

Another girl that's working there sold the week before, so she was supposed to be getting paid THAT DAY, but the boss was telling her she'd give her the money the NEXT week. That's bullcrap.

So, my friend, myself and like 4-5 other people decided we just wouldn't show back up the next day. It's alot of money, but it wasn't worth it. It's really a much longer story but I won't get into that here. I plan on looking for another job soon, but I don't know if I can find anything that'll compare to that $2200.00 a month. *sigh*


Some GOOD news though: I've got somewhere between 5-10 photo's that i'll be submitting within the next few days. I was gone for about 3 days, and I had my camera..so I kinda went photo crazy.

Anyway though, I just thought I would fill everyone in on that stuff.

I got a job! I called about the job Saturday, went in 30 minutes later for an interview and got a call-back the next day. So, I now have a job. And, the cool thing is, My best friend and I both got the job so we'll be working together from now on. I never get to see her because she lives almost an hour away, but we'll see each other at work 6 days a week now.

Unfortunately, It's not a photographer job like I would hope for, But I AM only 18 and this IS my first job ever. According to them, I will be making around $2200.00 a month, getting paid weekly. So, making that for my FIRST job..sounds pretty good to me.

I've got training from this Wednesday to Friday [which I don't get paid for] and then I guess I start working forreal on Monday. I don't know when I will have time for taking photo's and submitting and all that fun stuff, because the job will be from 2pm to 10pm everyday except Saturday where it's 9am to 5pm. But, photography is my thing so it won't just be completely blown off.


Anyway, I just wanted to share that.

I just submitted a series of bubble photo's.
I've been wanting to try photographing bubbles for a long time now, and I finally did it! I am really pleased with how they turned out.

I do, eventually, want to photograph a PERSON with bubbles. I was trying with my 1 yr. old nephue, but that didn't turn out too well. Especially since I didn't have my tripod with me, and he's a constant move-around'er. You know how it is.

I also put one of the bubble pictures in my scraps aswell, It's just a silly thing that accidently happened on photoshop..and, well, the title came to mind and I thought it was funny..so I decided to share it, in scraps, for a while.

I'm ALSO going to be coming out with a Calendar. I'll be submitting the back cover, with the photo's for each month on it either later today or tomorrow. All the pictures being used on there are pictures you can find in my gallery. I'd really like some feedback on that, to figure out if there's anything that should be changed and so on.. because i'm still not sure about the photo's for a couple of months. So, check that out! Please?



On other news, My niece is graduating kindergarten today.
The family will be going to that at 2:30, and i'm hoping to get some little 'mini graduate' photo's taken of her, that will probably happen after we get home or sometime tomorrow; I'm not sure yet. [Hey, I might even try the bubble thing in a couple of those. ]

I bought a tripod today.
It was only $15, so it's a little cheap tripod..it goes up to about 4 feet, though, and i'm hoping to go out sometime and try it out. Next time I go shopping i'm going to look into fabric for backdrops and try to work more with people aswell. Uhmm, oh! If anyone knows what kind of fabric is good for using as backdrops in photography, please let me know! I'm looking for something that won't catch the flash and leave a huge glare in the fabric, and i'd like some idea's BEFORE I go out and buy anything.




Also, I entered into *macrophoto's spring contest, aswell as =Nature-Club's "visitor" contest. Check 'em out.

Oh, and I bought the 15 oz. mugs for the images I submitted [that I submitted before as mother's day presents - now in scraps] and they turned out AWESOME. My sister's and mother were practically in tears after I handed them to them. It was really nice to see that, especially because it was MY personal work.


Alrighty, well I'm gonna go admire my tripod and maybe take a few photo's. I doubt i'll get anything right now that's submit-worthy, but we'll see.

Everything that was a print before is going to be taken down or re-made a print, because most of it looks really crappy, and/or some of the image cut off. Now that I have a print account, I can take my time and re-do everything so that it looks as good as I can possibly get it.

I'd really like suggestions on prints, even if you don't plan on buying anything. What should be made a print?? What, in your eyes, is worthy of being made into something someone could buy??

I haven't updated my blog in a month. My last blog was about Christmas coming up, haha, now it's past New Year's..so I figured I needed to change that.


I'd really like to find a time to start taking more picture's and such, it just never seems like I have the time to get out enough to do so. Maybe I'll get my camera and go walking today or something. I could find something interesting, and I need to walk..being as I'm dieting.

I recently got some idea's on some photo's i'd like to take, but I have no idea how that project would turn out. The last "idea" I got, to me, turned out fairly well..and i'll never know unless I try it. So, I might try to get that done.

I wish I could buy some prints. Maybe eventually i'll get a job and be able to spend a certain ammount a month on prints that would be cool.

Christmas loses all it's fun when you're older, I loved being a kid and being so anxious for it to get here..not being able to sleep Christmas Eve because I knew "santa" was coming.

Haha. I still love the holiday though, and the feeling of it, and seeing all the kids enjoy all there presents. You just can't help but wish you were still a kid, enjoying all your presents too.

There's supposed to be a category 5 hurricane in this area by Friday, so I'm packing up some stuff Tuesday (tomorrow) and going to my sister's Wednesday, and then we're all going out of town somewhere. Hopefully it either doesn't come here or it just doesn't do too much damage..but we'll see what happens.

This hurricane shit is driving me crazy.

I feel for the people from Lousianna. It's either going to hit there AGAIN, or it's going to hit HERE (texas) and half/most of them are HERE,so they'll probably have to evacuate again or something. That's gotta suck.

Anyway, I'm going to attempt to get some more submitting done. I want to get a couple of shoots going with some people soon, so we'll see how that goes. I guess it also depends on what this hurricane does. I won't be doing much for a while if it hits too hard.

Well,some of you know me as ~ViciousGurlie. I might still submit there,but I'm not sure. It just depends on how this account goes.

That name became old,as I grew up it seemed to keep me feeling like a 12 year old. In a way,this name can seem a little "kiddish" as well,but I can be mature with it,yet keep a bit of my childness with it.

Am I making any sense?

Well,anyway,I just wanted to write in here,and kind of explain myself what little bit I did.
