Aaanyway, I've been writing a lot lately, if you couldn't tell, and so I've been submitting things at a fairly regular pace. Never mind that there's no eye candy. I've been drawing, but my scanner's not installed or hooked up because the poor computer doesn't have enough RAM for it anymore. I weep for obsolete technology.

Heh, I was trying to draw some kind of crazy abstract "island floating in the sky" thing today, and it started out beautifully, but then I got sick of it after drawing a ton of grass. Ah well. So it goes.

...You know what the worst way to start a day is? Looking at pictures from the Holocaust and watching part of Saving Private Ryan. True story. What a downer.

Don't hold your breath. xD Anyway, today I bought Kingdom Hearts I for the PS2 on Amazon.com and I'm SUPEREXCITED for it to get here on Wednesday. I wanted to buy Katamari Damacy or We <3 Katamari as well, but I didn't have enough money after I renewed my dA subscription (I was starting to go crazy from all the LISTS OF DOOM). Tomorrow I go back to school, so hopefully that won't be as godawful as I'm dreading it will be. Ugh.

Now then, random-ass facts about me that you could have lived a long and happy life without ever knowing! Yay! (Tagged by ~Amorantos-Eyre)

1. I have a really hard time remembering names unless I see them written down (it took me a couple of weeks to remember Kenton's name despite being told multiple times, so I called him Scriabin until I could remember what his real name was).

2. I absolutely have to keep my hair either really short or really long (ha, right) because I CANNOT STAND IT when my hair is on the back of my neck.

3. Even if I read a manga online, or own a movie on iTunes, I have to buy the books or DVDs because I'm OCD like that (case in point: I bought both seasons of Avatar on iTunes, and will not rest until I have all the DVDs anyway).

4. Sometimes I give personality attributes to numbers or letters. ("Why don't you like the number 4?" "Come on! That guy is totally fronting!")

5. I occasionally use colors to describe names. ("'Madison' is just so.. so maroon.")

6. If someone is sitting next to me while I'm doing something like a lab in science class (my poor lab partner), drawing, or playing a video game, I feel the need to talk to them incessantly even if they don't answer, so a lot of times it just appears that I'm talking to myself.

Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin killed

Steve Irwin, the Australian television personality and environmentalist known as the "Crocodile Hunter," was killed Monday by a stingray during a diving expedition, Australian media said. He was 44.

Irwin was filming an underwater documentary on the Great Barrier Reef in northeastern Queensland state when the accident occurred, Sydney's The Daily Telegraph newspaper reported on its Web site.

The Australian Broadcasting Corp. said Irwin was diving near Low Isles near the resort town of Port Douglas, about 1,260 miles north of Brisbane.

A helicopter carrying paramedics flew to the island, but he died from a stingray barb to the heart, ABC reported on its Web site.

Telephone calls to Australia Zoo, Irwin's zoo in southern Queensland, were not immediately answered.

Irwin is famous for his enthusiasm for wildlife and his catchcry "Crikey!" in his television program "Crocodile Hunter," which was first broadcast in Australia in 1992 and has aired around the world on the Discovery channel.

He rode his image into a feature film, and developed the Australia Zoo as a tourist attraction.

Irwin had received some negative publicity in recent years. In January 2004, he stunned onlookers at his Australia Zoo reptile park by carrying his 1-year-old son into a crocodile pen during a wildlife show. He tucked the infant under one arm while tossing the 13-foot reptile a piece of meat with the other.

Authorities declined to charge Irwin for violating safety regulations.

Later that year, he was accused of getting too close to penguins, a seal and humpback whales in Antarctica while making a documentary. Irwin denied any wrongdoing, and an Australian Environment Department investigation recommended no action be taken against him.

Okay. So. The whole time I was grounded, I got this calendar and wrote down what I did EVERY SINGLE DAY. It's very exciting. January

1/9 - Zach is sent to an institution thing

1/13 - Cut my hair and dyed it purple
1/14 - Watched movies all day while parents were at the Broncos playoff game, cried at everything because of PMS
1/15 - Homeworked, listened to Brian Eno for the first time since my mom moved out of the Littleton house
1/16 - Went shopping with Debbie (step-mom) and got new makeup
1/17 - Was told that I obviously slacked off in art class, watched American Idol tryouts with parents
1/18 - Got Artemis's Christmas present and cried because it was so touching
1/19 - Got a letter from Elijah and nearly died I was so ridiculously happy

HEE. I got Gravitation DVD #1 in teh mail from my secret agent lover girl Cyri (I LOVE YOU THANK YOU OH MY GOD) and it is AWESOME. The subtitled version is much better than the dub though; the Japanese voice cast fits the characters better than the English one does (I'M LOOKING AT YOU, YUKI). Kelly (~undapants) and I watched it and we had to forcibly remove my brother from the room, because no. Just no.

And then tonight, my mom took us to Barnes & Noble and I bought Megatokyo and I Luv Halloween, and I wanted a book to like.. read, but I couldn't find anything whatsoever so we gave up and came home.

Pretty sure I'm gonna have video game withdrawal now though, since lately all I've been doing is playing Halo ("DEAR GOD WHAT IS THAT" "I DON'T KNOW SHOOT IT" "AAAAAAAAGH dead.") and attempting to play Fable WHICH I BOUGHT but my brother won't let me play. So I've just been acting as his conscience and telling him to do stuff. And he never listens to me when I tell him how to do something, and then finally he tries it just to prove me wrong and it works. HAH.

Feeling much better today, although I was pretty much exhausted so I stayed home again so I could get some sleep.

I saw a commercial on teevee for Christmas sales and something-or-others at the mall and I was EXCITED. I LOVE CHRISTMAS. I ESPECIALLY LOVE THIS CHRISTMAS BECAUSE I GET TO SPEND IT WITH CYRI. *spontaneously combusts*

It's Thanksgiving, the time when we prepare and cook food for two days straight; the day when we can eat as much of said food as we want and not have to worry about it; the day when people who don't celebrate Thanksgiving wish they celebrated Thanksgiving; the day where we pretend to remember pilgrims and indians becoming friends; one of the two days all year that we think about how much we really have and how grateful we are for it.

In honor of the spirit of the holiday, here are five things I am truly thankful for:

1. My wonderful friends, online and off, who are always there to support me or smack me when I need it
2. My girlfriend Cyri, who always manages to make me smile even if both our days were horrible
3. All four of my parents, and even my little brother Max
4. What talent I have for drawing, writing, and singing
5. My kitties -- Sapphire, Shorty, Joey, Oliver, and Blue -- without whom my life would be tragically catless and dull

FINALLY RENEWED MY SUBSCRIPTION, NO THANKS TO YOU GUYS! >| No, I kid, I kid. But some little part of me kept hoping someone would feel bad for me, struggling through my messages like a non-paying bad person, and buy me a subbie. Alas, 'twas in vain, for thine cold hearts have pro'en thee poor and lazy. X3

Moving on to less vengeful subjects, I got two packages in the mail today! One was from Cyri (YAY) and it contained a) the picture of Nny and Edgar ice skating, and b) Gravitation #1 with a note written on the inside cover. The other was from Crow, and she sent me that picture she drew for my birthday, which included tophats and princesses. I think I'll start a collage of pictures on my wall, since one of my closet doors and most of my school supplies have already been devoted to Robyn.

Now that's out of the way.. 37 DAYS UNTIL WINTER BREAK WOO

Thank you to everyone who drew me birthday pictures or sent me something! I feel all warm and fuzzy and loved. You guys are what make the internet worthwhile, I swear.

So, I got one of those "learn Japanese" computer programs today at Best Buy, courtesy of my dad. And I was using it, studying like the obsessive-compulsive learner I am, figuring out sentence structure and whatnot... and I got online to show Robyn my progress of about thirty minutes or so. Which was the amazing ability to ask someone's phone number. So I say "Anata no denwa-bango desu ka, right?" and she's like "DEAR GOD NO. Saying anata will get you killed on the street. We usually just say 'Denwa-bango wa' with a nice rising questioning intonation on the wa." DAMN YOU, INSTANT IMMERSION(tm). YOU HAVE FAILED ME. But I guess I can learn all the vocab and stuff with the program and rely on Robyn to correct the wrongness of technical Japanese.

In other news, my DVD/CD-RW drive is broken, so I can't play the Sims 2 AT ALL now. Nor can I play Neverwinter Nights. Fuck you, DVD drive. Depriving me of computer games. I hate you.

ALSO. I'm starting a webcomic! I do not know what it's going to be called or anything yet, but I have the basic idea for characters and a storyline. Anyone interested in helping (read: help me or I will die kthx), contact me via note or email.

Heh, I can't believe I'm 15. Go me.

AKJHFJDHGKJHDASFJHJGFD OKAY. So today is Halloween (yay!) and we got to wear our costumes to school. I went as Nny (it was pretty great; I made the shirt myself and wore my black jeans rolled to the knee, and black Converse shoes with these neat buckley arm warmers on my calves for pseudo-boots). I think maybe five people knew who I was without me having to tell/explain/clarify, and I got all kinds of stressed out over math AS USUAL. So it was an okay day. Not bad, but not really good either.

And then I came home and found a box addressed to me from Cyri. So I squeed, ran upstairs, and opened it. I was so happy and excited that I cried. And cried. AND CRIED. I danced around the house clutching a letter and Spooky to my chest wearing two GORGEOUS rings and a Paris dogtag with a little "Je T'aime" kitty still hanging off of it. I was SO EXCITED that I called Kelly and babbled incoherently at her, then ran up the street about half a mile to meet her and we rode to my house in her wagon.

Oh, Cyri. You just cannot fathom how fucking happy that package made me.

And to make it even better, when my step mom went to get the mail, lo and behold there was my kiwi hat. I about died.

Though my subscripty is gone. I cry. XD

Okay, first off, I really am looking at your deviations, everyone. I swear. I just have too many to be able to comment on all of them, 'kay? But I am looking, I promise. I still love you guys.

Second, if something important happens, NOTE ME OR HARASS ME WHEN I'M ONLINE. I just cannot sift through the ninety-odd journals that show up every time I have the chance to get online. So if something happens that you absolutelyhavetotellmeomg, do so, but don't expect me to know by reading journals because I can guarantee I won't have a clue.

Also. I have no drawings to submit other than that aforementioned leg picture, but my art teacher liked it so much that she hung it up in the display case. Oookay. I have, however, been taking pictures at a rather alarming rate, so bear with me whilst I try to be artsy with a camera instead of a tablet or pencil.
