I found these historical videos in YouTube when I was searching about Philippine History. These are the videos about Fabián De La Rosa, one of the greatest Filipino artist next to Juan Luna. The video also tells a short history about the Philippines during the Spanish colonial rule and the Philippine Revolution.
Thanks to Filipiniana.net for producing such good videos.

They also made a video about Doctor Jose Rizal. I already made a tribute about this Filipino patriot here in deviantart. [link] and [link] The video is spoken in Spanish but it has English subtitles.

Okay, I have been bored these days. Well, as I've said again and again. I appreciate critiques in my drawings because it helps me to improve myself as an artist (IF I COULD BE SOMEDAY!). I really wish it. I have been practicing my artistic skills and I still suffer to draw the same poses again! (stiff pose) I'm already 17 years old and I should really improve!

Okay!?

120 years of KOMIX (Philippine Comics)

Wow! What a colorful history of Comics we had in our coutry!

If names like Panday, Angel Ace, Flash Bomba, Lastikman, Darna, and Captain Barbell sound unfamiliar to you, it’s because they’re comic book characters from the Philippines.

In celebration of the 120th anniversary of komiks (that’s the Filipino term for comics), Newsarama.com spoke with komikeros (i.e. cartoonists or comic artists) from the island nation in Southeast Asia.

Incidentally, October is also Filipino American History Month and 2006 marks the 100th year of Filipino migration to the United States.

Also, the second Philippines Komiks Convention, Komikon 2006, is scheduled for Saturday, October 21 in Quezon City.

Just how big is the komiks industry in the Philippines?

According to writer/artist/inker/The Philippine Comics Art Museum webmaster and curator Gerry Alanguilan, komiks in the Philippines has had a very rich history, tracing its roots way back to the late 1800's when national hero Jose Rizal created what would be the very first Filipino made comic strip, "The Monkey and the Tortoise”.

Okay! So, this is my first Journal Entry here in DA. Let me tell you something about myself. Im a stupid and a big Procrastinator who wants to be smart (or lets say Wise) like any other cool artists here in DA. I have plans to post here my signed copies of ComicBooks last Saturday in the opening of Comic Odyssey in Robinson's Galleria in Ortigas. I'll post my copies of Superman Birthright (the one in DC Superheroes) signed by the great Leinil Francis Yu and Gerry Alanguilan and others as well. Of course I have no plans to sell it here! I'll just post it in my Scraps! Ok?

Thanks to all who visits my DA! SALAMAT!
