Being a Modeling competition, your entries will be judged on how well your character shows off or 'sell' the outfit they are wearing, the uniqueness of their outfit, as well as the composition and over all aesthetics of your piece.

If you want to make other changes and think they might not be allowed, please drop us a note or comment in order to be sure.</sub>

<sub>This round will begin with Nine participants, but only THREE will be able to go advance from here to the final round.

Only those who passed the last round will be qualified to enter.

The theme for this round is "Carnival". In this round especially, we are looking for the most unique and exotic ideas and outfits you can present.

You may use either the Parade or Festival definition of Carnival, or the one pertaining to a Circus.

There will be no other requirements this round, so we expect to see you come up with your own unique and individual entries this round.

Starting date is January 19, 2009 and closing date is on Febuary 16, 2009. All entries must be submitted before Febuary 16; 11:59 Pacific Standard Time.

THIS ROUND IS NOW OVER. WE'LL HAVE THE RESULTS IN A FEW DAYS.


<sub>With just about a week left before the deadline of round two, we'd just like to post a reminded to all the participants about noting this account with their entries so that we can properly add them to the list. We don't check each and everyone's gallery, so if you don't note us, we're likely to miss it.

Also, we'd like to discuss a bit of a concern some people voiced out about the theme for this round.

Some of you may be wondering why, despite the fact that we are fashion-centric team, we chose to stipulate that the participants of this round must only wear a towel. No, we don't want you to make the most creative and out-of-this-world towel you could possibly imagine. That's not why we had you strip your characters down.

The point was that while this is a Fashion Team, this is a Modeling contest. We wanted to go back to the basics of modeling and posing with this round, and not put too much emphasis on the clothes each contestant is wearing. To do this, we wanted to give a more uniform attire for each person, hence, the towels.

But rest assured, the succeeding rounds are going to be less strict about how uniform the participants clothes are.

We're not trying to dictate everything you do. We're just giving you a bit of a box to work in, if you will, but we want to see you make that box as creative as you possibly can.

So lets see more of those spankin' entries of yours, folks! The clock's ticking!</sub>

<sub>This round will begin with Twenty Seven participants, but only Eighteen will be able to go on to the next round.

Only those who passed the last round will be qualified to enter.

The theme for this round is "Bathhouse Brawl". Unlike the previous round, you will be required to follow a set of limitations:

*The setting MUST be a bathhouse
*They must only be clad in a towel
*They must be Fighting; hence, brawl

Starting date is November 4, 2008 and closing date is on December 4, 2008. All entries must be submitted before December 4, 2008; 11:59 Pacific Standard Time.

SNTM HAS BEEN EXTENDED FOR ONE LAST TIME.
We hope none of those who have already submitted with think ill of us for this, but after being asked by a rather hefty amount of people to extend, we've decided to give a 5-day extension.

The new deadline is on October 6; 11:59 PM Pacific Standard time .

__________[About the Barazoku]

The Barazoku is a social club geared towards the pursuit of Avant Garde Fashion in all it's aspects. It works like a modern Haute Couture (Fashion House), Talent agency, Kyabakura (Host/Hostess Club) and Okiya (Geisha House). The mix of all these elements create a very unique company that can cater to most of your Fashion needs.

However, the Barazoku is distinctly different from a Brothel, and does not condone prostitution or the buying of sexual services through the House.

The House is made up of three groups-- the House Members who are the designers and Entertainers, the General staff who are the apprentices and other workers & the Clientèle who are the buyers. Of all the groups, the House Members are the most involved in the activities of the house.

Barazoku no Honke is the official brand name of the House. Under products, the Barazoku no Honke carries both Duel-appropriate & Purely aesthetic apparel as well as make custom orders for clients.

This is your negligent Mama, Yayoi speaking. As negligent being the keyword, as of now I will be unable to actively participate in the Sakura Bowl with you. Unless I can somehow ascend to god-mode and get my act together, I can only give ideas, suggestions, comments and support as of now, and I feel horrible for leaving you to yourselves, but I need to know something important:

Is anyone willing to lead the team organization-wise? Can anyone take up the banner and start organizing things? It's important someone be working on the preparations in order for the team's involvement to keep on going, and I'm afraid that without the initiative, it'll be hard to get anything done.

For now, I just ask if anyone would be willing to take on this job. Please speak up soon if you can.

<sub>Just in case, I already had a few things in mind you might've wanted to use, but I think I'll only be able to do as much as tell you these ideas now:

*For uniforms, so as not to lose the essence of the Fashionista that make up the Barazoku, I thought the only thing we have the same is a Jinbaori and Headband styled to look Barazoku-appropriate, and everything else is up to the character.
*For the intro/audition, I wanted to suggest that what we do is show something like how we publically train in such a way that makes us look nothing more like a joke, but come time when no one's looking, we pull out all the stops and look like we're doing things hard-core.

Just a few things I already had in mind, but unless someone leads the team and organizes the preparations, it might go to waste.</sub>

The SDL Sakura Bowl is a Team vs Team tournament hosted by *CaptRosko.

The Barazoku is made up of thirteen House members who belong to nine different artists. Since the requirements of the Sakura Bowl state that a team only needs at least three artists (but Five characters), if any THREE artists of the Barazoku would like to join, kindly just say so.

The Main team can be made up of 3-5 artists and can have up to three substitutions, if the need should ever arise.

The requirements to join the Sakura Bowl are 1.) A collaborative audition comic, showing out team getting ready for the Sakura Bowl. 2.) A reference with our team-members in a UNIFORM.

If enough people want to participate, I will gladly offer whatever help I can, such as, maybe designing the team uniform or whatever. (Okay, I'm not going to lie to you, I just really want to do this one.)

Remember: No one is forcing any member of the house to join or not join. It's all up to you guys and whether or not you're interested.

Do you wanna be on TOP?

_{The Barazoku no Honke is hosting a Modeling competition for men somewhat similar to the Miss SDL Tournament.}

_____Mechanics
<sub>An Audition process will be held to determine our 64 participants.

Each round, a specific theme or task will be given to the participants, and you will have to draw a pin up of your character by the given deadline. At the end of the round, the judges will determine who are still in the running to become SDL's Next Top Model.

Being a Modeling competition, your entries will be judged on how well you show off or 'sell' the outfit you are wearing, as well as your composure and over all appearance.

Any Male character registered as a Dueler in the Samurai Duelers League may take part in this competition. Only one character per person may advance to the first round, but you may audition using as many characters as you like.</sub>


_____Auditioning
<sub>To audition, you must submit a comic or image wherein your character is being interviewed by the judges in one way or another. In your entry, you just have to answer the question "Why do you think you deserve the chance to become SDL's Next Top Model?". Anything else is all up to you.

The 64 most creative or convincing answers will advance to the first round.





Deadline for all auditions has been extended to the 6th of October, 2008; 11:59 PM Pacific Standard Time. Please have your entires in by then.

For All: Please provide a title for your character (i.e. "All-Around Model" or "Errand boy") as well as a short description of them. For House members, this is where you include your characters talents and specialties (i.e. "Formal Wear" or "Accessories" for designers // "Modeling" or "Singing" for the Entertainers). If you want to be a part of the General staff, this is where you write what jobs you do for the Barazoku (i.e. Your character works as the Janitor for the Barazoku, or works as one of the house members' apprentice*).


For House Members: You must draw a pin-up of your character in a fashionable outfit, but with a feudal touch, regardless of how minimal. This is to be used on the Team Page/Shop Gallery.

For General Staff: Aside from completing the Information asked for above, please make sure you would actually be of use to the Barazoku. We have the right to decline applications we feel to be useless to the House.

For Clientèle: Clientèle membership is purchased. Please see the Shop section for further information.
