Hey folks,

Well I'm still alive, I've been busy though. Basically working on ways to get my art out there see if I can get some commissions for artwork or websites. Getting the Angelles.com website done and of course my own portfolio in my spare time ( spare time )
Turning 19 on the 3rd of May, it's strange how stressed one feels when a birthday is coming up. Like your life is just passing so fast you feel you haven't lived it to the fullest. You get what I mean? Hmm..

I'm missing you guys a lot. I haven't been able to create much. I have many ideas at the moment. I hope to give you guys some more things to look at soon.
I'm also saving up for a camera which is something I really really need. Finding stock is often so hard and I want to use my own but I can't afford a camera at the moment

So if there is anyone who would like to commission me for something let me know I could do with the extra cash.
If you would like me to use your stock and let me use it in prints etc. drop me a line please!!! (for examples of the kind of stock I use see my artwork or take a look at =lockstock)

Ok enough with the begging

I've been working out a lot too getting myself to look good in a bikini again, I have been lazy during the winter and it seems my abs have disappeared poor me
I run 7 miles every day so I'm rather proud of myself.

Now as for news around the I decided the best thing to do when you fall off the horse is to get back up again. I invited him over for the weekend. He brought me my entire portfolio printed and in a nice pink folder. That was a sweet gesture but I felt slightly bribed at the same time if you know what I mean.
The weekend was horrible and nice at the same time. That doesn't make much sense I know. It was that sometimes I forgot what happened and it seemed like it used to be. It still seems slightly unreal but then at times when he said things to me that reminded me of what he said to her I fell in to my depressed mood again.

On top of it all my body has turned against me and I have the flu. I'm really pissed off because I do NOT get sick. I deny it for as long as possible until I just can't anymore and yesterday I reached that point. I think all the lack of sleep was a bit too much. Not giving in though I've got plenty of things to do.

I'm working on my website: emeralddeleeuw.com since I can't do much for angelles.com at the moment since it's up to my colleague to script it. It's taking a bit longer than expected but it should be done this week. I'm not going to make any promises since like I said it's not up to me.

Are you looking for representation by an official art agent? read on!

Some of you know this already but I'm the Talent Director for Angelles Art International. So I thought I'd write a little piece about what all of this means as I've been getting a lot of notes

Angelles Art International (AAI) is an artist agency, we help artists with their career in arts, in other words we help artists get noticed and make money. So where on earth do I come in you wonder? Well I get the fantastic job of seeking talent, whether you're a known artist that could use some extra help or an underrated artist I will do my best to find you.

All of this started with =angelles, my agent, 10 years ago. So this is not a project that just dropped out of the sky. Nothing random and definitely not something that should be taken lightly. The website is being built as we speak and it's going to be MASSIVE, I know as I'm one of the webdesigners building it.

Now what/who am I looking for? People with exceptional talent in the following catagories

- Digital Painters
- Photomanipulators & Mixed media digital artists with a unique style! So not the standard things you see everywhere.
- Traditional Artists who want their work to be available as prints
- photographers
- Unique Stock artists ( yes you too! The website will also be selling stock, your stock and you will make LOT of profit on them) Only high quality, people don't want to pay for stock that is full of grain.
- Aaaaand anyone else who creates interesting work that they would like to sell.

I hand pick artists, then I ask =angelles for approval and then I contact them to see if they are interested. I presume that I will get a decent amount of response now so don't go asking me "can I join toooooo?!" because I'm not the only person that decides that. What you CAN do is ask me to check out your work and perhaps I will send you an email soon or we might think you're not completely there yet and watch your progress or perhaps your work isn't exactly what we are looking for. We do try to be a bit exclusive you seeso you do need experience in the artworld to be in. I know that this sounds a bit harsh and I will probably disappoint a fair few but it's the only way.
If you don't get contacted in the near future don't just feel bad about it, if you are serious about it, you WILL get there! You will practice because you have a passion for what you do, and practice DOES make perfect.

Now for my "real" life. I'm going to start working on a big project for AAI ( Angelles Art International) a website to be exact. Which is really exciting as it's going to be HUGE. But I'll fill you in about all of that as soon as I get working and know more myself.

In 10 days me and my boyfriend will have been going out for year, I wanna go do something special. I have a pretty tight budget atm but has anyone got any romantic or fun idea's?

I thought I had so much to say but I think I have forgotten the thing I was actually writing this journal for. Haha I guess it will come back later. Blonde moment

Long time no see, my last journal was over a week ago. You guys might have seen me popping in to view some of your gorgeous works but it hasn't been much more than that I'm afraid.
I had this "great plan" to go visit all my watchers and people I watch to say merry xmas, but it seems it's just too much.
So I thought I'd do what all the smart people have been doing and write a little journal.

I've been really busy as my mum just got back from Ireland and we still need to get everything sorted for christmas!

Like my Xmas Journal?

Well before you read, you've been warned. MAJOR RANT coming up. Just need to get rid of my frustration with a certain person. Well a couple actually.
Would you stop imitating me?! And other people for that matter! it's annoying and pathetic and FAKE!
I know everything has been done before but even copying titles?! That's just ridiculous! And then actually submitting it to MY contest. That is really showing some nerve.
I'm not talking about you guys that actually sent me a note asking if it was ok to submit certain works

But really go get you own style and stop copying others, you won't learn.. I do NOT feel flattered and people do NOT value you. They might for a while because they don't know the artists you're copying but as soon as they do they will just drop you like a hot cake!
And then I see people faving that work! And THAT really makes me feel like throwing up!
It's ok to be inspired by someone but to just blatantly make a stupid remake of something another artist did and then give it a title that's just too similar makes NO sense at all is just unbelievable.
First I thought it was just me until people started noting me tell me about the deviations

That's why I was so upset that last week =Wishmistress was mad with me because it seemed I copied her with the calendar. She had good reason too, the placing of text looked VERY similar. But I hadn't noticed it AT ALL. So once again, it was not intentional. I don't want you guys to start thinking that I'm as idiotic as certain people around here.

OK I think I"m done ranting now, at least I feel relieved. Now don't flame me, I just needed to get this off my chest


Sooooo on to interesting subjects;
First of all thank you soooo much for the amazing response once again to my latest deviation. I was so busy this weekend so I really couldn't get back to all of you.
My mother is in Ireland so I'm home alone most of the time as my dad's at work, so this weekend we were getting stuff organized as she's coming back on Tuesday and everything has to be spick and span again

I miss her silly songs and stupid stories and even her nagging me to clean my room

She has a point it was a terrible mess till a couple of hours ago

I did some Xmas shopping too, how about you guys? Got all your stuff bought yet?

Helloooo!

Well amazingly funny story for you guys .. wasn't for me though but I can laugh about it now

Yesterday I was having a lie in after being up all night. I was already 11:30AM when I heard a big noise from downstairs. Like someone breaking down the door.

I got out of bed and heard it again "CRASH!!!" I was like " what the ^$&#@%#!!". As my mother is gone to Ireland and my dad was at work, I was all alone and scared out of my witts! I worked up the nerve to go downstairs after about 5 minutes of panicking as the crashing kept going on.

I heard a lot of voices, male ones. I thought they were criminals or something. So then I said bravely "Uhmm WHYYYY? are you trying to break down the door" while cowering in a corner in the hall. Then I got a reply "This is the police!". That took most of the panick and wonder out of me for 5 seconds but then I was like "OMG somethings happened!".

I opened the door and there were 2 female police agents in front of my door, so they came in and asked me "is your father home?" to which I replied "no he's gone to work" they said "no he's not, he never got there".
Then i started freaking out, I thought he had had an accident or was murdered or had a heart attack .
His boss called the cops because my dad always phones if he's late or whatever and this was 4 hours after he should have been there.

So they stayed for a while asking me all different questions like
- Did he suffer from depression?
- Is your mother in Ireland because they had a fight

To which I answered No of course as my mother is just visiting her parents and my dad is cheerful most of the time.
That of course did not improve my state of panic as they were talking about suicide.

Then FINALLY after an hour or so my das boss called that he had arrived at work and that he had called but that the person he had spoken to forgot to tell him that

GAHHHHHHHHH THE STUPIDITY . Well that was the worst shock I've had in a while.

Well That's my ridiculous story for today on to the other stuff.

Today I found that my calendar looked a lot like =Wishmistress's which of course was NOT intentional. My sincere apologies once more.
That's changed now anyway!

Sorry guys for my absence! I had so much to do. Here in Holland we're celebrating St. Nicolas. You could say it's our version of Christmas. A couple of weeks ago me and my boyfriend's family each wrote our names and gift ideas down on a piece of people and put them all in a big bowl and picked one. The idea is that no one knows who's buying gifts for who. And then you have to wrap everything up in an item that suits the person. Per example I had to get gifts for my boyfriend's sister and she has a little job bringing around mail. So I made a big mail box from foam and hid the presents in the foam.
Anyhow I had soooo much fun with it. We all exchanged the surprise gifts yesterday evening, it was so lovely.
Afterwards, my boyfriends parents gave me a ton of gifts I never expected that AT ALL.

- A pink Minnie Mouse dressing gown and slippers
- A Dove gift set
- J.K. Rowlings biography
- 2 pink fluffy towels
- and of course chocolate in the shape of an "E"

It was just so super sweet cos I thought we were only doing the surprise thingy.

Lol I just had to tell you all this even though it's quite uninteresting to you

Getting better. My love life wasn't 100% the past week but we've made up thank goodness. I had a nice weekend, even though I didn;t get to spend that much time with him. Soon Xmas! I will be sending the cards soon!! Probably somewhere next week when I get some extra cash to post them all

Sorry about the absense, I'm never around in the weekend for all of you that don't know that. I always feel kinda rude having a whole convo on friday and then not answering on saturday

Anyway I saw my best friend again on friday. FINALLY, I hadn't seen her for such a long time, I only found out friday how much I had actually missed her.

Anyway I went to see Harry Potter, they completely wrecked the story IMHO. The effects and filming was beautiful but it was so far off the book that I hated it. I hate it when they change stuff
haha I know I will get flamed now, but I don't care at least =auralis agrees with me don't ya hun?


As for you Dutchies out there, I just became aware of a Dutch devmeet on the 4th of January in Utrecht. Any of you guys coming? I don't know if I'll go yet depends on you guys

Gaaahhhh it's snowing! So much! I like snow but now my boyfriend can't come over because of the stupid trains not going! Argh I hate this. I was planning a romantic walk in the snow and then coming home for a cup of hot coco
It's so windy and stormy I feel like I'm caught in a blizzard That wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't alone oh well at least the weather is inspiring. Perhaps I can create something.

Theme: Spirit of the Night

What does that mean? Show me what makes you think of the night, how you feel at night, the essence of night. This does NOT mean that it has to be vampires and mummies and all other macabre things.
Per example I love the night, it's peaceful and quiet. I do not have any horrifying idea's when I think of the night. Some of you of course so it is allowed but be creative with the theme. Originality is always appreciated.

<sub>Just a short entry to tell you guys where I've been and that I'm very sorry for being so impolite by not replying to notes on time etc. The thing is I'm feeling really ill, too tired to do anything. Sore throat, major cold. You know the drill.
Which just causes me not to have enough energy to do anything really.

I answered most of my notes today. If I forgot you entry to the contest please let me know! I could have missed it while staring sleepily at my monitor.

Heey all,

First of all I just wanted to say that I feel truly pathetic I have still sold 0 prints. Well a couple to myself of course but it's just embarrassing really. Am I alone with this "problem"?

Hey all,

Omg my "Support Matteo" stamp has been removed due to copyright violations, like it was a piece of art or something lmao. I don't believe one word of it, to be quite honest I think they just remove anything supporting °jark and °matteo that they can find a reason for. Oh well I'll make a new one anyway without the little doggy on it

WAAAAAAAH I'm being like totally copied, it's just disgusting. And then she even asks me where I got the scales for my Justice manip. So she's obviously just copying the idea's. Hey again,

First of all, go say congrats to =Liek if you haven't done so yet. She's just had a baby boy

Gaaahhh I'm sick! I hate being sick .
I can't work on any art atm. I'm too tired to do anything. I need something to entertain me and help me relax I'm much too stressed which is probably the reason that Im sick now.

I was wondering what games you guys would recommend for me. I don't like shooter games like counterstrike etc. But anything fantasy related is good, rpg's etc I love 'em. I don't have the fastest pc in the world, per example I can't play the sims 2 on it but I'm sure a lot of other games will work just fine.

Btw thank you so much for all the comments and favs on Gabriëlle. It's seriously amazing. I've never had such a response to my work ever in my life. Just wow

Oh yeah and I have a DA family now ( see my poll). I will add you all to my shoutboard . If you're a long lost relative or pet or something else just let me know
