It's December the first, finally! I think it and October are my favourite months, even though they're cold X3
This means-
-Fifteen days until my birthday
-Sixteen days until my Concert Band's Christmas Concert
-Seventeen days until we get out for Christmas break. We're out until January the fourth, I believe.

All throughout December I will be making presents for as many friends as I see fit- no listing or anything, so they're all surprises. No BIG picture this year because frankly if I ever see another group picture again, it'll be too soon. 8D Those things are more evil then Mormons and geese put together.

December is also the season of ass cheek-freezingly cold weather. Which is especially bad because I, as a Southerner, start putting on the heavy jackets as soon as it dips below seventy. How do you people SURVIVE in places like New York and Idaho? D'B IT'S MADNESS

and maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don’t spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place.
Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.

He declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an Aspirin to a student, but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn’t defend yourself from a burglar in your own home without the burglar suing you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot, spilled a little in her lap and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents Truth and Trust, by his wife Discretion, his daughter Responsibility, and his son Reason. He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers: I Know My Rights; I Want It Now; Someone Else Is To Blame; and I’m A Victim.

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.

HEPCAT
1) The lingo of Count Pop from the website I-Mockery. I wanted a kitty-type and it just...fit xD
2) I was reminded that I needed a axe-wielding type of character, but I wanted more depth than that. So, I created a mentally unstable leopard/lion who normally acts twitchy and just a little paranoid, but easily goes over the edge.
3) At first he was just a cool guy... I really really wanted to name something Hepcat xD
4) His "freaking out" tpe personality is based off my late Uncle John. No he is not a Flippy ripoff, those suck. End new one

Bell
1) Bell is the HTF version of me, so it's only natural she should have my name xD "Bell" is taken from my middle name, Isabella. My first is Julia but I hate being called that D:
2) I thought Bast was too sweet to be my HTF form... plus once I started dating Sammy, I couldn't draw Bast with her because I ship Bast with Cloudy xD
3) When I first started drawing Bell, she was used mainly for doodles where she'd lecture Bast for not wearing her SH hat xD Then Bell gained the hat... Then she gave it back to Bast and started wearing her Checkered jacket, and gained her distinctive hairstyle 83
4) Bell is normally pitted against Insomnia. They have a hate/joking relationship with each other- Insomnia (the physical form of MY insomnia) bugs the absolute hell out of her, and she hurts him whenever possible.

Jaunty
1) Jaunty was originally going to be a variation on the vain cat stereotype that is so dominant in kitty characters- she was going to be based off my cat, Lilith, except she looks the way she acts.
2) An assload of random character concepts from a few months ago xD
3) She was originally haughty and bitchy, but now she's a moderately friendly Sphinx cat who likes pogo sticks and mountain climbing 83
4) Jaunty used to be "addicted" to cliff edges- she could sit for days staring down at the landscapes below her. However, after a bad accident that nearly crippled her, she has more control over herself.

Columbus
1) Based off those lovely Columbus clouds <3
2) Well, I was trying to draw *Veridiann's character Dandy. But I didn't have a reference, so I failed pretty badly...then I looked at him and I thought; "that could so totally be m lion character". So he was 83
3) He was originally a bringer-of-light goody goody type, who spoke like a preacher. But after a while I got tired of writing like that, so I made his speech a little simpler and developed his relationship with Thunderhead. He's also married to ~AndThereItWas's BriBunny ^^
4) When depressed or overwhelmed, he speaks in a loud, wavering voice, like a stereotypical preacher, just without the religious part. (Is it preacher or priest? I can never remember the difference Dx) He also has a high, flutey voice

Thunderhead
1) The opposite of a pretty Columbus cloud. Thunderhead lives in the clouds, normally, and his physical features are based off of storms xD
2) Well, I made a lion (Columbus), but he was all sweet and goody goody so I wanted him to have an opposition.
3) xD Originally he was just a mean-ass, evil-twin type, but over time (mostly in RPs with Bri) he developed into the loving brother of Columbus, a fan of death metal, loud things, and hugs.
4) His mane is coursing with electricity. Usually, touching it will only deliver a mild shock or static, but if he's in a bad mood or feels like a prank, it can be deadly. The little lightning bolts in it glow brightly whenever he's conjuring up a storm.

Mummer
1) Based off the ye olde name for mimes, which were "Mummers".
2) When I was just a lass in the HTF fandom, I had no originality whatsoever 8D So I made a cousin for Mime, my second favourite character (Russell being my first, and the reason I have seven pirates xD)
3) He used to be short and pretty much a recolour of Mime *shame*. However, now, he works in DB's Disco & Bar as a roller-skating server. He can still sort of do mimeish tricks but he's not very good.

Yesterday I forgot all about it, because I went to a protest with my mom. It. Was. AWESOME.

Here's a summary from Mom's blog;
"Yesterday on September 19, 2009 cannabis activists rallied in cities all over the world in support of The Prince of Pot Marc Emery who will be extradited to the US on September 28, 2009 to be sentenced to a minimum of 5 years in a US Federal prison for selling pot seeds from Canada."
Marc is technically a political prisoner. D:
SO, we held one of the smaller rallies- about fifteen people- in downtown Birmingham, Alabama. It was quite possibly the best weekend I have ever spent. xD We got all our protesters to march down past traffic, including above the 2-80 overpass and fountain, holding "FREE THE WEED" and "GOOGLE MARC EMERY" signs. (I held the latter, it was my favourite.) The people we gathered were hilarious, and I was at the very front of the march with Mike. We had tons of support from passing motorists, including a wedding party that were catty corner from us- the bridesmaids cheered, and the bride could not have looked any more traumatized.
I don't think anyone expected to see someone so young in the rally, either. I was easily the youngest one there. <3

Trippy Hill
1) Mitch Hedburg xD That crazy bastard and his constant useage of the term 'trippy'.
...Plus the only other HTFs named Trippy were just named that because it ended in 'y' D: WHERE ARE THE STONERS DAMMIT

2)From an ooooold conversation with Bri C: I was saying how I needed a stoner character named Trippy, just so I could give him a good personality and dispel the addict stereotype. Mostly born from hating Nutty actually xD

3) At first he was, honestly, just an addict D: His parents are a Reindeer and a Bighorned Ram, both animals of which are known to get hiiiigh in the wild. No, seriously.
So Trips was addicted to Narcotic Lichen and some sort of mushrooms, but since he's a half-breed, they both affected him pretty badly and made him look all funky.
Then I realized that was fucking stupid and actually gave him a story. ^w^
His mum, Peachels, left Thespy (his dad) right after Trippy was born. Thespy was an absolute dick and so Trippy moved in with Quilliam ASAP (once they met anyways). Trips now writes songs for The Band (WHISTLE) and is a stoner and shiz.
...wow that was long...

Seven

1) Seven's name was inspired, firstly, by the tag on his ear. He used to be a rebellious cow who had escaped from a field or something...and torn off the tag on his ear, but I decided to leave a number on it for some Enigmatic shiz. C8 And what better number than Seven?
(Seven was the name of a little kid who bit me when I was about five. xD)

2) The song "Feel Like a Number", by Bob Seger. It inspired a rebel character C: And it's why he still has the tag on his ear...
Also, I wanted more ungulates D: And I've always loved longhorns, and longhorns remind me of ranching... so we get a longhorned rancher with a mystery past C:

3) At first, Seven was a rebellious slaughterhouse escapee. I wanted a Rebel dammit D:
Then I toyed with the idea of making him a rancher of sorts, and though I like his Rebel personality, I wanted to let people infer what might have inspired the tag. That's what a lot of characters are like ^w^

4) He carries around two guns, one loaded and one not.

Cheeky

1) Simple; she's a cheeky little bitch xD She was originally named Slappy, but then I learned "Slap the monkey" was a very very very bad euphemism. ;^; This was before I knew of the nasty seal mind you

2) Doodling different animals in HTF to see what they looked like. C: Monkeys actually terrify me in real life, but I wanted a friend for Trippy and once I gave her the Shaggy eyes...

3) She's one of my few who actually hasn't changed much xD Maybe just her design, she's less blocky now, but for the most part I'm satisfied with her.

4) She doesn't have any visible fingers C: She usually ends up fumbling with something, or using her tail to hold it.

1) Archduke Frenz Ferdinand. Archduke was originally an Archduke in his home country before he ran away like a wimp xD

2) He was inspired by Archduke Franz Ferdinand, last year in Civics class. I only had two or three characters back then and I wanted MOAR pirates. I figured a political refugee would be nice... and mutton chops. MUTTON CHOOOOPS

3) Ooooh man, LOTS. He originally had NO backstory, he was just Archduke 'cause it sounded cool. xD He also used to be shipped with Cali- because (they were younger then) she was still torn up about her family getting pwnd back in her home country, and he felt obligated to cheer her up. And then she made his life hell and I stopped shipping them.
Now he's with Fluffers ^w^

4) His right eye is glass, and though he is a mapmaker he often draws things a little too far to the left. Jah tis a boring fact D:

....I'm sorry guys, I really am. I'm in a terribly foul mood, if you haven't caught on by now. Alex is leaving for his Senior year at ASMS tomorrow, and the day after that I go back the the firey shithole Alabama likes to call public school.
I'm extremely stressed because for some reason, I can't produce even a simple doodle that doesn't suck big ones, and those few good ones are on paper and impossible to upload. I get stressed if I go just a few days without submitting something, and this is no exception. Please forgive me if I seem more tense or snappy, but I'll try my best to be polite as ever. What I'm most worried about isn't the "fresh meat" stuff most kids expect when they enter high school.
You see, most of the side of the school building I was in has accepted over a period of two years that there is, in fact, an Atheist in their midst, and no amount of praying or heckling will change that.
However, the high school side is rougher. Waaaay rougher. There are still plenty of kids there who aren't afraid to beat the living hell out of a little girl >.>

Do any of y'all know how to fix a sound driver? The driver for my Firefox hasn't been working for about a week now. It's driving me MAD D8 I can't listen to my classical CD, anything online (including IMs and games) or my media player. I'm thinking of doing a sort of Post-Apocalyptic thing- where HTFs get infected and horribly mutated 8D Not zombies, per say, kinds like Necromorphs (But MORE mutated)
For instance, Salty (one of those infected) is completely covered in thick, shag-carpet like fur, Portly is stretched out like a scorpion, ect. I've even got it worked out how I'll infect other HTFs and still be able to grievously injure them. :3 This is gonna be funking awesome.

Also, I listened to some classical music yesterday and fell in LOVE X3 It's Dvorak's New World Symphony, 4th Movement. I highly recommend it even to those with less classical-oriented tastes. It's amazing X3

Guys, my tablet is dead. AGAIN. The wire in the back is all ripped up and the USB port won't recognize it. ;^; So unless I get a miracle overnight, there will be next to ZERO updates because I have neither a tablet OR a scanner. AARGH

Hopefully, if we have to get a new one, we'll find a cheap brand that ISN'T as shitty as Genius ._. Since we're in a crunch and the $60 r so I've saved up isn't going to get anything. Not even a scanner.

We took the computer to a nerd (my uncle) earlier and he defragmented it XD;; Sorry about the scare, but I'm happy to say that Bast is on and well 8D

Other than that, I'll post some character concepts in this journal- I already have too many for my tastes but I can't just let these go I make them and get attached, I swear. (Though I still love my original eight best D8)

Pish and Posh- Female baby poodle/Dalmation mixes. Pish is smaller and light reddish pink, with bright red spots. Posh is bigger and darker red, with brighter red swirly spots. Both have ribbons on their ears, Pish's are green and Posh's are blue.
These twins originally come from a prestigious family, but wandered into HTF town while exploring :3 Both can speak intelligibly (like adult HTFs, some of their words make sense) though Pish leans more towards math than Posh.

Ra- Male Cockatiel. Bright yellow head with a gray body, darker gray feet and beak and bright red cheeks. Thick, yellow tail that branches off at the ends. Medium sized smooth wings that have black feathery patterns on the backs. Long, spiky feathers on head with black tips
He is very outgoing and can be seen at almost any social event. He is friendly towards all HTFs, which sometimes leads to his downfall (especially around more sinister ones like Pheonyx or Veribear)
He loves green grapes and can often be seen munching on them.

Gully- Male Dodo. Grayish blue body with small, white wings and poofy white tail. Darker grey beak that covers most of his face like a mask. End of beak hooks sharply and is tipped black. Short stubby yellow legs.
Shy and has extremely low self esteem. Often tricked into helping Lifty & Shifty as, like his name suggests, he is extremely gullible.
In some plots he is shown in a similar costume to El Zorro, wearing a large sombrero/fedora, spurs and a short cape/shawl. (His beak plate covers most of his face like a mask, eliminating the need for one)

Shaggy- Male Pygmy Mammoth. Very light blue with black spots and a thick black swatch of hair. Long fur. Cow-like tail with a fuzzy black tip. Medium-length thick trunk and shiny, ice-encrusted tusks
He is somewhat withdrawn, with very few friends among other HTFs. He speaks with a West country accent.

Jaunty- Female Don Sphinx Cat. Speaks with a light Russian accent. Light pink with wrinkles on her forehead and darker pink markings on the node, hands and feet. Flopped, large, light gray ears and curled whiskers. Bright green around her pupils. She loves exploring, be it a cave or back yard, and often gets lost.
She loves high places and bouncing around on her pogo stick.

Willowy- Female Eastern Mole. Black, shiny fur and large pink feet,hands and snout (area around nose). Very large, dirty while claws (as opposed to fingers). Medium length, thick tail. Pale gray eyes with abnormally small pupils. Short and very chubby. Very rarely seen as she lives primarily underground. Very clumsy above ground due to her claws and eyesight. She is usually found engaging in tasks such as weaving or knitting, and often wears her work.

Cheeky- Female Woolly Monkey. She has no discernible toes or fingers. Black with a dirty white "mask" around her eyes and the upper half of her body (besides head). Long, curly tail tail and middle sized curly ears. Dirty white snout (much like BM), hands, feet and tail tip. Lanky for a HTF. Her eyes are nothing near a normal HTF's- they are small black dots, with curved lines on either outer side (much like Shaggy's, from Scooby Doo).
She is extremely smart but chooses not to utilize it, instead engaging in the mindless pastimes of the children HTFs. She talks a good deal.

DX Remember how my last journal fawned over a kitten we found?
We-ell, in the time between that journal and this, we found the other four of the litter. All girls, except the runt.
We've also been getting an assload of rain recently, which I hate because the lovely hog manure in our garden is running out, along with a bunch of herbs.
So, after we found all the kittens, we finally decided that since the weather had cleared up we'd let them sleep outside tonight. (They're only about two weeks but we've already weaned them on soggy cat food, their mum's dead)
Biiig mistake DX
Dad woke me up 10:00 with two of the kittens in a bucket, saying he'd found them outside in the rain. (It's been raining all night) One of them was in pretty bad shape, the other was nearly dead...
I grabbed a towel and cuddled both of them up next to the heater. Dad found two more of the five and gave them to me, and both of those were doing marvelously, just damp and scared. But the runt, Taz, wasn't breathing or anything.
So mum came home and started working her magic on him, blow drying and trying to keep his circulation going, but I think he had water in his lungs... She said he had a seizure (tongue rolled back into his throat) and died completely. I feel especially bad, 'cause he was fighting so hard...
And we still dunno where the other one is DX Probably under our trailer, dry.

Hey guys, my scanner is dead. D''8 For some unfathomable reason, seeing as we've only had it for a few months. Mum says we might have to go back to using the old one since we can't afford another one, or even to get this one fixed.

Also, I hate puppies. I hate them with every fiber of my being and would like nothing more than to sodomize them with fiery hot cacti. Our puppy Sadie, whom we originally got to breed with Saul, is a shitting MACHINE. I can't sleep in my room because there is no door to keep out the bowely funk. I hate her.

Has anybody else noticed how badly dA's been whoring itself out for subscriptions lately? I get ads even when I'm logged in, and with my crazy paranoid amount of spyware this shouldn't happen on even the most bugged site. I keep getting notifications that I'm not subscribed, too (as if I didn't freaking know) and how someone with 100 devs should have one. (I don't HAVE 100 deviations.)
Just a minute ago I looked at my journal and it's like they're trying to tempt us. There's a new little tab for headers, CSS, ect. but at the bottom it says all the normal junk about having to have a subbie to use it.
BTW, this isn't a hidden plea for a sub, I just thought it was strange.

We have like two weeks left in school until summer break. Why can't we just get out after SATs, I wonder? The last weeks are just concerts and plays and half days and honestly I like spending my time around you guys more than those dogmatic, ignorant assholes. I wanna be with my actual friends and my girlfriend especially, since I only get to talk to her like twice a week. Fuck it if I don't have an irl life except for band, dA IS my life and I'd like to keep it that way.

I went to Six Flags (In Atlanta) today, for high SAT scores. :3 It was actually fun, much better than last year. My group was amazingly asshole-free, ands I only rode two rides- Thunder River and Runaway Mine Train. :3 (Mine Train being the best, AND smallest roller coaster I've ever ridden. Yay whiplash~)

One of my irl friends, Camee (Or ~bellnallfan) was actually sitting with and being accepted by some other gals who were on the trip, which I'm really happy about because normally they try to stay away from her. :'D I'm so happy for her right now~

In other happy day news...my long time friend, ~TheJTeam, and I are a couple now. ^///^ I admit we've both crushed on each other for a long time... so we finally asked each other on AIM...
