I've done a bit of tweaking with the clubs deviations, put them all into files and things by characters and whatnot and have done the same with the favorites. Hope it makes it easier to find what you want to see! Also, the featured deviations are going to be chose by random when we log onto the club, so keep your eye out, it may be you up there!

(so sorry it took me so long to do something guys, you have no idea how hectic my life is lately, my daughters a month and a half from being 1!!!!!

The new Batman film the Dark Knight came out on the 18th. I had the honor to go and see it for my birthday the Monday afterwards and I must say, it was a thrilling movie that kept me on the edge of my seat. Once again the performances were amazing, major kudos to Heath's version of the Joker, who was a mixture of comedy as well as a demonic evil to the show, a Joker one has never seen before. LOVED IT! And Harvey Dent... wow. My only disappointment was the fact that they had killed him off so early! He hardly had a run as the well known Two Face that Gotham residents grew to fear. And that job on his face, so much better than the Tommy Lee Jones version. He was classy, with a horrible disfiguration to go with it. I think it was better that the creators stuck to more of his comic book/cartoon appearance unlike the Tim Burton film did. After all, the half and half suit, not only was it a little too much, but also ugly and no where near classy as I have known Two Face to be. If you haven't seen the movie, go see it now! Get your bum off the pc it is worth it! You will be shocked, amazed, and possibly a bit frightened. All the qualities of an amazing film. Fun fact. Did you know that all the actors did their own stunts for the most part? Check out the Dark Knight page on Yahoo Movies to watch clips of the cast speaking!

NEW NEWS
I'm sure you have all heard the sad news already, but yesterday afternoon, Heath Ledger (man to pla Joker in The Dark Knight, also found on a Knights Tale, 10 Things I Hate About You, and Brokeback Mountain (among others)) was found dead in his Manhattan apartment from an inconclusive cause.

I was quite sad when I had heard this, just moments after it was placed on the net. He was an amazing actor, with many well loved characters. Which brings me to this question....

Does anyone know the process of The Dark Knight? I'm hoping it is completely finished and no longer in production, it would be a shame for Heath to have lost his spot in one of his final films.

RIP. Heath 1979-2008

Omg I am so sorry for not keeping you updated here at the club. Rest assured we still love all of you out there that has made this page what it is today! As of late I,

have not been able to keep up with much club wise due to my pregnancy, which I'm sure up till now none of you have heard about lol, and have left the majority of the clubs duties to the co-owner who has graciously accepted and has been a huge help to me. So even though you may not see many journals up here, we still look forward to seeing more and more batman lovin! Like I have said, its hectic for me, especially since I am 8 weeks away from my little girl's due date.

So, who is looking forward to the next installment of the Batman movies which is to come out sometime next year? I know I am! Christian Bale will be back again as The Dark Knight and after our ever so beloved Joker as well as Two Face! (One can only hope they have a Harley Quinn in this one!) There isn't much, but you can check out whats going on so far at [link]
Once again this movie will have a memorable cast featuring: Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Gary Oldman as now LT. James Gordon, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, and new comers to the series like Heath Ledger as the Joker, Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent/Two Face, and Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachel Dawes. (No miss Katie Holmes will not return for the part, but the new girl looks almost identical to her!) It's sure to be another installment to remember!

Hey all I just want to apologize for taking so long to submit your art and requests for joining the club. I have been pretty busy lately cleaning up me and my hubbys future house so we can finally move in. It can really take a toll on ya. I can't say where my partner in the club has disappeared to seeing as I myself have no idea but I am working at getting through all the requests as we speak. Thank you for being so patient with me and the club you all deserve a great big hug and a cookie!

CONTEST

Well, I actually had forgotten about the whole poll and contest deal until I looked at the last journal we had a few seconds ago. I know, shame on me . Anyways, so I took a look at the poll and the winning theme is Batmans sidekick which was suggested by by sidekick we mean like, bathound or something different, not like robin or batgirl. Just be creative and make up anything your imagination will allow you to come up with. I know you all have it in you. The starting of the contest is now, so draw draw draw! The deadline can be..lets say....Jan28 06' That way more of you will have time seeing as it is the holiday season.

Im actually pretty shocked that no one really participated in the whole make up your own contest theme gig, oh well, things dont always go according to plan right? Well it was a very close call but the new theme of the contest is.......................................................*drumline*.............................................. Favorite Female Villain Art! For example you can do Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, or whoever else you can think up! They can either be in thier criminal outfits, everyday dressings, or even both (i.e. drawn 2x on same page in 2 dif outfits.) And if you would like, you can have more than one villainess in a pic! Batman has finally truly come to DVD, and it's about time!

Hello batfolk
Just FYI coz I follow batDVDness carefully and I work in the DVD retail industry...

It seems Warner Bros. wasn't very confident about releasing BTAS as a box set outside North America. They tested the waters out first by releasing 4 to 5 episode BTAS DVDs to see how the market is in Europe/Asia/Australia. (I had to import all 3 volumes from the States.) Anyway, now WB has finally decided to release Volume 1 of BTAS in Australia (owing much to the success of Batman Begins) so I'm pretty sure Region2 releases will follow soon.

As for the UNCUT version of BB:RotJ, it is only available as a R1 DVD. I think the main difference between the 'clean' and uncut version is that the fight scenes are a tad longer and more violent and thats about it.

Finally, we R4 folk get a 3-disc collector's edition of Batman Begins[link] -

Well it was a very close call but the new theme of the contest is.......................................................*drumline*.............................................. Favorite Female Villain Art! For example you can do Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, or whoever else you can think up! They can either be in thier criminal outfits, everyday dressings, or even both (i.e. drawn 2x on same page in 2 dif outfits.) And if you would like, you can have more than one villainess in a pic! Have fun!
