As some may have noticed, I was gone for a few days. I had a school trip for three days and forget to write a journal on it, my bad
So anywho, the trip was to Stratford, to go see a few plays. West Side Story was alright, and Macbeth...well, I fell asleep during it. But The Importance of Being Earnest, genius, just pure genius, so amazingly funny, made up for the other two plays. The off time was fun because we were allowed to do whatever we want (small town, nothing would happen to us, if we did get lost we'd eventually happen upon the hotel). A bunch of the guys decided we were going to wear suits, so me and three of my friends formed the racial-tolerant mafia, as we were an Italian, a Jew, a Native and a Muslim.
Also, my school has a trip to New York later this year so I'll be seeing plays then too.
That last part may or may not have been written to sadden =BlissfullySarcastic

Today, at 7PM, after six years of running Avenue Q started it's 2535^th, and final, performance. It won three Tony Awards in 2004, including best musical, as shown by the "Did we mention we won the Tony?" written in big letters in front of the theatre. Ranking in as the 20^th longest running musical, the play has entertained very many people over the years, including me, I'm glad I was able to see it

Just remember...only stable investment in volatile market is porn!

Edit: Never mind all that! In a surprise move at the end of their final performance, the producers came out to announce that Avenue would be moving to another theatre, making it the first musical to actually move off Broadway! Of course it would be that quirky musical to be the first ones to do that, eh? Long live Avenue Q!

Back from NY! Man, that's a big city. Can't believe how absolutely massive those buildings are...wow. So anywho, I saw Billy Elliot, Lion King, Hair, Avenue Q, Next to Normal and a video recording by Spike Lee of Passing Strange. So let's get some critiquing on! *Grabs top hat and monocle*
So, Billy Elliot. Bloody brilliant. Great dancing and some really funny parts. That spine chilling scene near the end where...well, I won't ruin it for you even if it's unlikely you'll see it, but if you know it you'll know what I'm talking about. Lion King. To be perfectly honest, it actually didn't do much for me. It was good fun and the costumes were genius, but it just didn't stand up or even close to the animation. That's not to say it didn't have it's moments though, the beginning had me wowing. That's how you make an entrance. Hair. Now that's a lot of fun, and quite a few times you're just going "...what?!" I don't think I've ever seen so much dry humping in my entire life A crazy awesome musical with a powerful message to boot, completely worth it . Avenue Q. Oh my fucking god, I don't think I've enjoyed anything as I thoroughly enjoyed that. So. Amazingly. Hilarious. Even though I knew all the songs I still laughed, and was so glad when I knew a song that was coming up that was just awesome. It did such a great job that it won the Best Musical award in 2004. Against what, you ask? Wicked. That's right. Next to Normal. Now that, is a different Musical. Heavy, very heavy and dotted with dark humour. It makes for a very interesting experience. It's one of those plays that stays with you for a while, leaves you walking out with astonishment evident on your face. I highly recommend you see it, if possible. _{_{_{_{_{Because my dad was an investor in it and the more people see it the more money we get}}}}}

Finally back! 7 weeks! Jeez it's been a while. God, I've missed high speed internet and computers with more than 512mb of RAM So glad to be back with my 70-200mm f/2.8L, I missed my baby
Camp's been a lot of fun, got some sweet shots, fooled around, been a badass. And by that I mean smashing my hand through a window. It was scary but awesome at the same time, blood just rolling off my hand. Didn't get cut too bad, only one is deep and it doesn't even need stitches. Though I'm pretty sure there's still glass in my hand
But yeah, badass. Well until about a minute later, when I my body just sorta gave out on me, was so exhausted I couldn't even stand. I could imagine I was as pale as a ghost. It was just such a strange feeling...
If you've ever fainted before, it's similar, but worse.
Anywho, gotta get back in the stream of things. If you've uploaded anything in the past seven weeks that you'd like me to see for any reason just shoot me a note. I'm not even gonna be able to turn deviations back on cause of how many messages I have, 600 Deviations and 631 Messages. Ugh. Not that that's terrible, but my ADD makes it so much harder
But anyanwho, I'm back, get ready to rock!

So camp's been alright, being the photographer is lame because I get to take pictures of people having fun rather than having any myself. But it's not actually that bad considering I never really liked doing much at camp anywho
I was with the bunk from hell first session, these kids were fucking ridiculous, way out of line. During one of the meals one of my kids stole my camera bag while I was up getting food. Bah. Thank god I got switched to another group of kids for second session, these guys are much better. Course they do wake up in the middle of the night with their hands down their pants yelling "It hurts! It huuuurts!" I'm not making this up

Anywho, I'd like to thank whoever sent me that one month sub. It's very appreciated, I just sorta wish they had read my journal before giving me it. A sub when I'm at camp with limited internet access is somewhat useless

Well I got to camp today, it's a nice place but doesn't seem to hold all that much photographic opportunities from a quick lookaround, we'll have to see though
You may have noticed though that I fell off the face of the internet two days ago, and that was because my internet died. I really wanted to enjoy those last few hours of internet access I also wanted to cut down on my message center, it's gonna be a real pain to get through later
Well anywho since I'm a staff I get access to the staff computer so I'll be able to get on every now and then

Oh also my 70-200 f/2.8L IS arrived yesterday (as you may have guessed from the picture, lol) and it's freakin awesome! It just weighs a ton and my arms hurt, I need to get to a gym sometime (btw I haven't brought it to camp, wouldn't have been a great idea)

That's about it I guess, the tunnel connecting the areas in the Detroit airport is as trippy as ever

So anywho after cruising through a really easy exam period I'm finished school. Only two short months to forget everything I've learned!
In a week I'm going to camp though, and I won't see you all for 8 weeks!
But I'm working as a [junior] counselor so I get paid

I go to camp in the states so I'm not legally allowed to work so I'm a 'paid volunteer', which means he can pay me whatever he wants, so I'm getting ripped
I'm not going to camp to get paid though, I really had a great time last year being a CIT, the money's just an added bonus

Oh ya, I've getting the 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS soon (for those of you don't know this is pro glass!) can't wait till I get it

Well my laptop's screen broke again. I picked it up by the screen, but only for a second. And it broke. Lol my poor laptop, it's going through an end of life crisis. About a month ago I had to get the screen replaced, the plastic replaced, the keyboard replaced, and the motherboard replaced twice. In the space of one week. And now this. Maybe I should by this poor thing some RAM as a feel better gift.

But anywho, the reason I'm not so pissed about this is because MY DA SHIRT ARRIVED TODAY!!

It's this one and it's awesome and it's sexy and it's awesome and I'm probably not going to take it off for a week and I feel sphecial in it and I'm running out of things to say and I'm tired and I'm going to bed.

Edit: Okay, so, the tech guys at our school can't actually fix the laptop itself, they have submit a request for someone to come and fix it. And you know what? They fucking rejected me. Are you kidding me? The laptops are either still under warranty, or the ridiculously overpriced sum we have to pay at the beginning of every year covers repairs, because if it wasn't either of those then I would have had to pay to get my laptop fixed the last time. So how can they fucking reject me? Ya know, maybe if you didn't make fucking shit laptops they wouldn't need to be repaired all the god damned fucking time
(It is getting fixed though, they're sending a request again pretending it's a different laptop, but having to wait sucks so much, I really want to edit my pictures )

Seeing some fascinating things underwater, fooling around with friends, jumping off boats, jumping off double docks (two stories) , going into the town (although we didn't really get to do that ), learning about stuff and just loads of other amazing things.

Well the other day I accidentally knocked over my laptop and it fell, screen down, onto the floor, where there just happened to be an object right there. Cracked the screen. Fuck. But it wasn't all that terrible, it's only a minor nuisance, I'll wait till I can see the tech guy at my school. But of course, life doesn't like to be all nice and kind, especially when you've got a computer screen which is now much more sensitive. I reach over to grab my water bottle (which, btw, is one of those unbreakable ones) and BAM!!, right into the side of my computer. My screen didn't like that, it goes all spazstic. If I had epilepsy I probably would've gone down with it (). But anywho, I go "OH FUCK!!", run to my desktop computer to go send an e-mail to the tech guy to see if I can maybe get it to him sooner, write out the e-mail, send it. Internal server error. What? Type it out, send it again, same thing. Now I'm really pissed at this point, so I bang my mouse against my desk. Then I go to try again, only this time, my cursor isn't following along with the movements on my mouse. I hit the Connect button a million times, nothing happens. I fucking broke my mouse as well So now I'm using this little puny thing that's like...8cm long and 3 wide, fucking impossible to use. BLARGH. What in God's name did I do to deserve this?!

I couldn't delete it all because there were just some incredible work there, but I just came to term with the fact that it's a near physical impossibility, and deleted it

In other news...
I was in a car accident today
We were just sitting in the car, stopped at the red light, then BAM! Right into us
My Dad was just like "Shit!" With how hard we got hit we expected a ton of damage
Thank god my Dad's got a good car, it's completely fine
But yeah, what happened was a guy two cares behind us...not entirely sure, lost control or something, smashed into the guy behind, who then banged into us. Those two weren't so luck. The bumper of the kid behind us was totaled (his license plate practically cracked it two! ) and the front of the guy who hit him was pretty banged up as well. Felt bad for the kid though, gonna cost him quite a bit
But yes, other than a little shock and some damage everyone was fine, so it's all good

Oh! Totally forgot to tell you guys about the mark that I got in english!
First off writing doesn't come easy to me, I'm good at it, but it's so much effort to write. I just run into a three mile thick stone wall. So you can imagine my fear of exams, write an entire essay in x amount of time
Well anyways, I go into the exam, they give you the texts, I get some ideas with it, and the next day start to write!
It was kinda a mess though lol, so I figure out how I'm going to organize it with my tutor (not cheating ) and then, on the actual exam day where you're supposed to write it, I just got in, sat down, and it just...went. The ideas never really stopped flowing until I finished it. It just felt so good!
Oh ya quick note due to the fact that I have ADD I was able to get special allowances (A.K.A Laptop use) so ya that helped a lot considering my ideas are usually all unorganized until the end
But ya, on the laptop, they have spellcheck turned off. Makes sense I guess, since the people writing by hand don't have something that goes "You made a mistake here"
Took me about two seconds to turn it back on
So anywho, we get back to school, all excited to get our marks. When we get to English we have a sub, who tells us our teachers in the hospital. We were all "...What?!" Lol. So then she gets back and we get back our marks. I get mine, pull out the paper, and just stop in my tracks

That is is the best mark you can get, it's pretty much a 100%

5+ are rarely given out in English, as it's one of those things where it's almost impossible to get perfect, ya know?
There were probably at most two others who got that mark

Women human rights activists face repression.

Since February 2003, members of the womenÂs rights organisation Women of Zimbabwe Arise (WOZA) have been arrested repeatedly for peacefully demonstrating against the worsening social, economic and human rights situation in Zimbabwe. They were among the targets when the government cracked down on civil society and opposition activists after the first round of presidential elections in March 2008.

WOZA members continue to show great resilience and bravery in adversity.

In June 2007 seven members of WOZA were arbitrarily arrested after a peaceful protest in Bulawayo. Riot police beat the activists, and two of the women who were arrested were also beaten in police custody. None of them received medical treatment until after their release a few days later. The women reported that police officers threw buckets of water into the cells each day, forcing them to spend time on wet concrete in winter, and the seven women were given only two blankets between them.

- Further reading will reveal that many of the women who are being arrested and abused are pregnant. Some are mothers, who are kept from their children for a long time without just cause.

Eight minutes in, my router conks out. Bad omen anyone?
Now, at 3 something, I wake up with a fucking painful stomach ache, and the magic pillow (it can be heated) is in my sister's room
Thankfully, I happen to be a genius so figured this out:

I'm back! Missed you all
It was great, warm sunny nice beach (though kinda windy and rocky) decent food palm trees and HAMMOCKS!
I love hammocks

The hotel was huge though, so much walking, my feet kill me
So what else...

But anywho, great vacation, and glad to be back (but not glad of the cold )

Actually, it's been going pretty well, thought I'd have trouble with english, but it went fine!
The math exam was hard, but not ridiculously hard, pretty sure I did well
Science was a joke, finished in 1hr20min (we had 3 hours to do it) so easy, my intelligence feels insulted
All that's left is history, don't think it'll be too bad...

so *RJDaae won a contest in one [of the many] clubs she's in, but the thing is, the club has a rule that you can't win a subscription within six months of already winning one, so they get to donate it to anyone of their choosing
being friends with talented artists pays off

well, i was on my comp today, all fine and stuff, well all the sudden a little thing pops up
this little thing, however, was one heck of a big deal
it tells me that one of my hard drives is in danger of failing
so i was like "oh shit, oh shit, fuck fuck fuck!" cause like i didn't think i could've done anything
we do have an external hard drive, but it's at my dad's office
then, thankfully, something pops up telling me i can make a back up on another drive
thank god, if it had crashed and i had lost everything, i would've...
well, i dunno really, but i would not be happy >_>

so anywho, backup's done now and comps off (on my laptop now) so ya
gonna have to get a new hard drive i think
