It's true. A new icon (THE OLD ONE WAS YEARS OLD) a new ID (one that speaks to all your souls, I am sure) and ACTUAL UPLOADS OMG.

It's the holidays. I am visiting my TRUE HOME and not working on the animation that is due in a couple of weeks. I am also missing L4D2 and wondering when my cats decided that they didn't love me anymore. A week ago I went to the Dethklok concert, which officially makes me cool, and now I've signed up for HELLA classes next semester.

Basics-
Hello my name is Beatrice and I draw things. At least one of these statements is a lie.

Regardless, I have slots open for both sketches and cg pieces pretty much constantly, especially since I need this money to eat now (YAY COLLEGE). My turnaround time for drop-offs is usually within a week, and often times less than that. I only accept paypal because I am lazy. All finished pieces will be digital, you will get the nice, shrunk down version sent to you, and, if you want me to I can email you the huge original canvas. I am open to the idea of some art trades, and may be willing to do things not listed here (paintings and ect) for extra cash.

To order please send me a note if the slots are open with a reference or description of what you would like, and whether or not you'd like the huge version as well. Payment can be sent to my paypal, which I will note you back with, please including your deviantart name somewhere in the title so I know who's sending me money. You can also specify which style you would like, either the realistic or the more anime style. If you don't specify I'll just do what I feel like doing. For realistic ones, as much info about facial structure (size and shape of nose, lips, eyes, cheek bones, ect) would be appreciated so that I actually get a good likeness.

What I will and won't draw-
I will attempt almost anything, but I'm not very good kissing or shmoopy couples (if you have a reference, though, I can usually "make it work"). I can do smallish mech stuff like androids, but would not be a good candidate for gundam style stuff. I will draw fanart if you give me a good ref, but please don't assume I've see the show and know the character and their personality and shit, or you will get a picture of Light with a huge smile on his face skipping through a field of roses while unicorns shit rainbows on him. I can do furries with gusto, although I tend to draw them more towards the human side of the spectrum. I can do some animals, lions and wolves and stuff, and they're at a discount of human price usually. What I won't do? I can't draw hardcore porn. Sorry about that.

Alright, so I guess I'm ready to finalize my opinions. I had to wait for Viral, you see.

Overall? It's, as of now, an alright dub. Maybe later it will get better, and I will definitely like it better after THE EPIOSDE.

As of now? I love Simon's voice, and Leeron's is giggly, Yoko is pretty good (I think Yoko is a character who could do with a wide range of voices and still succeed at giving off the right feel), and I actually liked Viral. That one shocked me, because, you see, his Japanese voice is like an aural orgasm, every word he says is pretty much drool-worthy. So when he opened his mouth in English and I said "Oh, alright = D" I was more surprised than I think I can say. In fact, that, combined with the slowing down of the episode (SciFi was running it fast for at least the first episode, it was very speed racer) made it to where I think I'll be able to enjoy the dub. They left all the music and the lovely title-cards, so that's also grrreeeat.

Things I hate? That they sped up ANY of the episodes, what a clusterfuck, the change of script (AND YES, I know that there are often translation differences, but this show already has a considerable following, and I demand KICKING REASON TO THE CURB, it's not a lot to ask), and Kamina's voice. There are times, when he says something, and I say "oh, nice" because it's SO CLOSE, and then the next second it's gone. His speeches do not have me cheering, and that's a bummer. Perhaps the va will sneak in some more epic, but even if he doesn't I can still put up with it.

So yeah, Dub Raggan will be okay, I think, and hopefully will gain the love in the US that it deserves so that I can get even more lovely fanstuff, and people can see what a truly good anime is. However, Geass isn't doing so great, so I'm not holding my breath. If the Clamp-Tramped Desu-Note Gundam can't do well here I don't know what can.

So, my thoughts. Well, for starters, looking through deviations, journals, comments, ect is a pain, it doesn't allow you to view as many, doesn't organize them as neatly, and also crowds everything in together.

I usually have at least 20 deviations in my watchlist, and usually that many journals as well. Wading through theses huge samples is annoying, as is the fact that deviations are no longer grouped by the artist in snazzy little boxes.

Maybe this is super cool for people who aren't subscribed, but to me it seems like it did the opposite of streamlining, instead making it bigger, shinier, and chunkier. I don't like it. I'm sure I'll get used to it but to me V5 was instantly better than V4.

So it's a shame I guess.

EDIT- That's closer to what I need. Although it's a bit of a peeve that the journals, comments, and messages aren't together. I'd also like them to group deviations by artists again. But much better so far. I'm glad to see they're taking people's problems into consideration.

Seriously, if you have not seen this GODDAMN MOVIE go see it, fangasm, and also normal-persongasm. Robert Downey Jr is a brilliant man, especially in this role, and the whole thing is just BAM WOW AWESOME. It's a great lead in to what will hopefully be the best movie summer of my life.

I want to do inappropriate things to Tony.

So yeah, seen the movie twice, plan on seeing it at least once more in theaters. Will be buying ASAP.

Dirty corporate whores want to use your art without actualy having to pay you. So what they're going to do is force you to register EVERY piece of art (for a nominal fee) in order to protect it. Basicaly, they either make money because you're going to copywrite every freaking page of your sketchbook, every camera phone pic, ect, or they're going to watch you NOT do that, and use your work since you obviously didn't love it enough.

You know that lovely copywrite thing at the bottom of deviantart submission? Sure, it's a wee bit annoying, but I doubt this is the way you want to be rid of it.

Avatar is gone again I suppose, although I'm hoping to do a bit more on it. Season three was fine, although I didn't like Zuko trying to steal Sokka's place as the funny man, I did like Sokka just mocking him endlessly. Great big happy family.

Season three of Supernatural went from okay, to shitstorm (TALKING TO YOU RED BASTARD AT MORNING), to brilliant. It left me off on brilliant so I'm pretty psyched for the last four eps of this season, and really hope for a fourth.

As everyone knows, Gurren Lagann ended, and it rocked my socks. I really didn't like the post-script, however, and not because of the old factor, but for other, more logical reasons. Also, old. But the first ending was epic and perfect. It is my favorite anime ever; I love it long time in dirty and possibly illegal ways. Also, everyone listen to the drama CD because it is, in itself, funnier then at least over 9000 other real anime.

Speaking of GL, it was licensed ages ago, but nothing came of it until recently. It was supposed to be released Feb. 26 in America. There were issues, not the least being Vic Mignogna being a complete fag and fagging up Biralu. God, I hate that man, he ruins everything he touches. Other issues also, as apparently ADV lost their claim to the show or some such? They're blaming fansubbers, I'm blaming the fact that no limp-wristed anime kid can afford to pay $20 for 3 episodes of a 70 episode long show. Seriously. Right now the best thing they can do is start making MORE DVD’s and selling them for less. Charge between 1-3 dollars an episode, package 10 together, and sell. It's not the manufacturing that's expensive, it's the licensing and the actors and the tech work, so they really NEED to make the media more accessible to their core audience. Make the first 3 episodes available online for free viewing to hook people and prove they're getting into something good. Make the episodes purchasable online for a nominal fee. Start pressing Netflix to put your series on the instant play lists, and start the Biralu advertising.

It's their own fucking failure. I can buy 26 hour long episodes of supernatural for $60. That's about $2 an hour, and that's mainstream. How the hell do anime companies expect to compete with that when they're trying to sell me 30 half hour long episodes for like, $140? It's ghey.

In other, less re-hashed news, Sakuracon is in a week(ish).

I'm not as excited as usual, which hints towards the truth I've been seeking; to me, cosplay is an important part of con. I wasn't sure, but the closer I get the more I think it's true. I'm still not cosplaying this year, I want to see if the con itself is affected by my lack of get-up, but as of now I do believe it to be a fact of my rather strange and depressing existence. This year I'm going to hit everything I can. I'm going to buy a lot of Gurren shit too, until it comes out of my ears, and I think I'm even going to bring my doll, which will make me even stranger.

Speaking of my doll, I think I need to sand his jaw down. It's bothering me.

Anyway, back to animu, Sakuracon will still be fun, even though we seriously need to find a microwave still, and I miss battle Karaoke like I miss my arms (BRING THEM BACK DT, I SWEAR TO GOD).

And more animu, I'm going to The Pillows concert tonight. My mom got me all fucking freaked about the fact it's in the industrial part of Seattle, which is annoying me since I was so happy and NOT PANICKED about it. Regardless, it'll be awesome. They're playing with a girl band called The Noodles, and other band which I think is from this land mass whose name I can't remember. Only Michelle is going with me because everyone else sucks.

My birthday was last month, and this month the family is finally celebrating it, which means I got my mom to buy me a new scanner, and it's going to be a sexy party as far as I'm concerned. I've heard mixed reviews on it, but never about the quality of the images which is awesome, it's about time I stop scanning with a document scanner really.

Let’s seeeeee… hmm, nothing much else to report I suppose. I haven’t been drawing much, and it’s become a bit of a sore spot, so I don’t know what to do. I really need to go back to school, ASAP.

Seriously, this is the best FREAKING SHOW EVER (except maybe one piece but that doesn't count). After 2 years, I am finaly sick and tired of the name chibi-beat. It hasn't been my SN for anything but Deviantart for more then a year, and all the old shit in my gallery felt heavy for some reason.

SO BAM!

Starting anew. It is something I've wanted to do for awhile. I mean, Beat Fu is my name of choice anyday, I have run with it for a good long while, and I feel like my art needs somewhere to live not riddled with the memories of crap long since passed.

It is strange though. I mean, I need a new Desktop screenshot, a new Id. I have to go and re-watch all of my favorite artists, make this announcement in this and my old DA, and change my website links in alot of places.

Aparently, I have more attatchments to the old DA then I thought.
