Buuuuuuuut, last night my boyfriend and I were walking up by the ballpark a few streets over, and saw a car pull into the parking lot of the elementary school beside the ball park. The car went around the side of the building, to the back. We kept walking and didn't think anything of it, assuming maybe it was a teacher who had gone back to pick something up...even though it was 9pm.

Thennnn, we turned on to my best friend's street (which is kind of across from the school), and started walking down it--still talking...when all of a sudden...BANG!! Gunshot. My boyfriend and I jumped, and kinda freaked out, and were like "wait, was that a gunshot??" By that time, two or three more went off. So we started RUNNING down the street to my friend's house, so that we wouldn't be in the middle of the road...and I SWEAR, the next shot seriously sounded like it was toward us. So scary.

We ran up onto my friend's porch, and rang the bell...repeatedly...until she and her boyfriend and grandma came and opened the door. They saw us staring down the street in the direction of the elementary school and ballpark, and were like "sooooo is something down there??" when another shot went off from down the street. My friend's boyfriend, who evidentally has been shot at before, said "oh. gunfire. i'm calling the police," and proceeded to dial 911, and ask them to send a car around to patrol.

My boyfriend and I went in to watch TV and hang out with them for a while, then we got a ride back to my house.
I was prettttty scared.


So yeah, that was my exciting evening. Awesome. No more ghetto walks. Especially after dark. Possibly ever.

It's way longer than 10 seconds though.
Partially due to the fact that we have people watching it now (NO WAY!!!) and wanted to make up for not putting up an episode for the past week, but also because there is no way that we could have sped up this idea to eight seconds, so that we'd have room for the opening and ending credits.

We still sped this one up (obviously.) It was originally 9 minutes.

So I went to one today.

And I got a really sweet camera. Made ...sometime between 1939 and 1957. Not sure which year exactly. haha

I'm not really that interesting of a person.

1. I want to be a faerie. Or Rapunzel. Either one. Possibly both?

2. When I was little I changed the words to "Part of your world" so that they fit a human wanting to be a mermaid instead of the other way around and sang them in the swimming pool.

3. When I was five, I had a crush on Aladdin.

4. I've gotten to the point where I really can't count my nicknames anymore, mostly because one of my friends decided to give me a new one every day...for about two months.

5. I play flute and piccolo well. And alto saxophone and bass guitar not nearly as well.

6. I looooove singing, and have had people tell me I could probably be professional if I wanted. But my favourite to sing is Opera, and I don't think my voice is strong enough for that.

7. I think my voice is awful. And really annoying. And I probably wouldn't have included this, but I'm on mic with some friends in the UK right now, and I heard what I sounded like, and it reminded me.

8. I'm going to university next year, majoring in Spanish, and hopefully eventually going into translation. I'm either going straight to a university in Spain or transferring there after a year (I need to decide really soon)...

Convinced my mom to wait until next week for Boots. I told her it was the most cruel thing ever to put him to sleep before next week, since his birthday is Tuesday. He'll be 15. aw.

My mom told me today we're putting my cat to sleep before the end of the week. And that we're not going to get a kitten. I'm pretty mad. And I cried a lot of the day.

And I want to go to Nags Head on Friday. But I don't know if we will.
