sorry i havent been active the past couple of months i just seem to have a lot on my plate and when it rains it pours. today i had to put my thirteen year old beagle, Aidden, down. she was dying of terminal cancer and was in extreme pain. i miss her dearly but i know everything was for the best and she no longer has to suffer.

on the lighter side i had a painting party last night with my friend, ~NfamousCJ and was forced out of an art block which i greatly appreciate. hopefully you all will be seeing much more acrylic paintings as i have a project to put paintings up on the walls of my stair well. if any of you have a random idea you would like to see please feel free and leave a comment. any and all help is greatly appreciated.

New CSS


alright so im updating this a few days early but what the hell, i was excited!

as you all have seen, Selene had been up here as my journal header for a while (bout 6 months) so it was time for a change. i really wanted to do a fall themed CSS with Cosette and she looks so beautiful in fall colors. even though i hate winter and the cold, i do enjoy the "cool" fall breeze and the changing of the leaves. but no matter my reason im changing my page to a fall theme and will most likey go ahead and change my page according to the seasons ... so come december there will be a new css journal ^^

i have to say i enjoyed doing this css, i did reference some of my old css that i had modified (mostly the scroll box) but this was my first attempt at writing my coding from scratch. its a pretty simple layout but i think thats what i seem to like most about it.

so i signed up for livestream the other day, worked on customizing it and YEAH!! im finally done with that. so for those of you who dont know what livestream is ... its a website where you can watch as i paint and chat with viewers and myself; and no worries you dont need to be a member to chat with me. i figured this would be fun for people to watch, learn, or give advice ^-^ ill probably give notice on twitter when i go live so as to not overload your inboxes with journal spam. the link to my channel will be in the sidebar under "Find Me". if you arent able to watch while im live, you can also go to my livestream channel and click the menu button then select on demand and watch any video anytime you would like. i hope to see and/or chat with you all soon!

Word of the Day


yea so i love dictionary.com ... one of my favorite sites lol sounds cheesy, but get over it. anyways like i was saying my sister and i used to pick random words from the dictionary and try to use them in everyday conversations to broaden our vocabularies when we were younger. we have since stopped but dictionary.com now has a word of the day just like we used to do!! so im using it now not only as a literary reference but as an art reference too ... ive chosen 3 past "WotD" and using them as themes for my art. i know your asking yourself "why the hell do i care beka ..." well just a little fyi and for those suffering from art block it really helps. my first livestream painting is in fact June 20th's WotD (Ebullient) so if you find yourself stuck, give it a try!

omg its been like forever and a day (or at least it feels like it) i know i havnt been very active recently but i have gotten messages and tried to respond to all of them. ive been working on some big traditional pieces; one is a 2' x 3' acrylic piece ... for myself V.v (which is coming along very slowly) and a 14" x 17" watercolor piece for my brother's birthday (which has to be finished by this Saturday night!!) im actually really excited about doing more traditional pieces too. i like to mix things up! i have been doing alot of sketching though but the digital pieces will have to wait *sigh* i got a nasty virus on my laptop (likes to say its an anti virus program which i know its not) and it will be fixed this Sunday but until then i refuse to use it (thats another reason i havent been on msn messenger either)

so i hope all my watchers and friends can forgive me for my silence and i should have more art and chatting coming soon lol

OBJECTIVE:
We want you to take your favorite 80's cartoon characters (i.e ninja turtles, transformers, my little pony, rainbow brite, care bears, etc.) and draw or photo manip them in your own style. BE CREATIVE!

RULES:
★The entry has to be an 80's cartoon character (duh!) no limits on how many characters and they can be a mixture of the shows if you choose.
★Must be a NEW deviation!!!! DO NOT recycle an old drawing or photo manip
★Keep it PG-13 (and under) people!

:star: ANNIVERSARY :star:


today is May 12, 2008 (which you all probably know) but this is a special day for me. i am celebrating my 1 year anniversary with my husband! we have been married for ONE WHOLE YEAR! OMFreakinGosh the time just flys by!

i am a little sadden though seeing as how we are in to different states (im in Virginia and hes in west Virginia --- 8 hours away) and i cant be with him on this special day. (i actually wont see him until June 6th when i move to West Virginia with him, a move im not too thrilled about making but its only until October then back to Virginia!)

One Year down and a hell of alot more to go lol (and i still love him ... at least for the moment :D )just kidding of course i love my Ryan! and for the nosey people who want to know if im gonna have a baby anytime soon .... HELL NO! lol give me four more years, i haven't even celebrated my 21st birthday (which i will be doing at the end of this month! :w00t: ) and i dont like to share my husband right now (hes all mine and im his princess :aww: )

remeber to keep checkin back im getting really close to 5,000 pvs and im looking forward to drawing the prize!

~HAHA another new header, this time of my newest "CREATURE" Luna! ok so just a little info for now, Luna is a Drox (half ice dragon/ half albino fox) she has more of a dragon head and of course she can fly but the body and tail of a fox. she also has a way of making the most enticing music that she uses to lure anyone away from the rigid cliffs of her birth place (isnt she so sweet) :aww: i hope you all like her!~
