Then again, it'd make no sense to go get another one when I've only drawn .. maybe five times so far this year.

I'm planning on doing more 'commissions' or just selling my artwork for 25 cents a pop.

With the 25 cents, I could go out and buy some cheap Wally World cola, which would be nice. Or 50 cents and I'll have a 2 liter. Mmm.

All kidding aside, to those who ask and wonder:

I'll never charge a soul for a drawing, no matter how sophisticated it may be. Why put a price on something I enjoy?

The only downside to this is that drawings are few and far in between, but that's the way I work. Yes, sure, I may have a small pile of drawings with just a face or an eyeball, but that's all they evolve into before I give up on it.

Also, you may notice a lot of the gals or guys have little to no facial expression. It's just me coming out onto the characters you see. I really don't smile or laugh much, but I'm happy a lot of the time.

If anyone I know would like a drawing, or those who I've already done one for, please let me know.

To those of you who live off of reading about other people's lives, well, you'll be disappointed.

Anyways, saving up money to get myself a vehicle. It seems in the Military, a vehicle is a requirement, unless you want to walk all over the place.

Other than that, trying to get myself a Gateway CX200X Tablet PC deal. You know, the thing you can draw onto? I'll upload a picture of what I doodled in a really crappy program on one of those things later down the road.

Other than that, not much to report. Got a raise, and more money is coming every other week, so I'm happy. We're having to move into older barracks, and that stinks, but it's okay.

It's the 6th of April, and at 4:45PM I'll be picked up again. But this isn't for just a visit to MEPS, no. It's for a visit to MEPS, then being airplaned out to South Carolina for Basic Training to begin. I'll be at Ft (Relaxin) Jackson for 9 weeks. Then I head north for Ft Eustis in Virginia for AIT (Advanced Individual Training), doing this for 18 weeks.

I most likely won't be around during the entire duration of both basic training and AIT, but we'll see. I'll be 'gone' a grand total of 27 weeks. It'll be a little touch, but I'll live through it. Going to give mom and dad a call as soon as I can to let them know I arrived safe and sound, and not much else. Here's to what I hope is a good time.

When I return, expect a full update with the usual description of how my time was.

Most of the people who keep tabs on me (I don't know why) know that I'm joining the military.

I flaked around a lot, however, as to which branch to sign up to. After some initial stupidity on my part, I chose to go with those guys you see often. You know.

The Army.

Anyway, these past three days have been both exciting, but a little nerve wracking. Went in on Monday. Told them I'm interested. They told me what everyone else told me, but went beyond. They actually tape measured me (since I'm a bit over the maximum weight limit), and determined that sure! I'm still eligible. So we then get a buttload of paperwork completed. He tells me that all we need is for the counties and states or what not to send him back information on me to make sure I have no outstanding warrants and such.

Tuesday rolls by, nothing.

Wednesday! He calls right about when I'm going to call them, and informs me he's got my papers. Well, everything but my test scores he's trying to import from Utaw. It's amazing how much information they can get on you so fast. He has my transcripts from college, and from Job Corps (shudder), and a stack of papers that say 'This dude's clean' essentially from the courts, counties, etc of both Utaw and Texus. Amazing. All that remains are my testing scores. Oh, and I'll be getting in as a Tier 1. Groovy.

We then watched some videos taken recently of one of his recruits' beginnings and days of boot. Rather interesting to watch. They seemed to have a blast with those pugil sticks.

Even the weapon stuff seemed neat.

At any rate. We got my eyes checked out, free, at Wal*Mart, and I'm positive later on today he'll call to let me know that he got my MEPS information in, and thus I'll be sent out to do more fun things, say the oath, and be tossed into DEP for however many weeks it takes before I'm sent out to boot.

So, yeah. I'm excited. But slowly growing nervous. It's not problem. I'm studying the information I need to, and trying my best to get into some form of physical shape.

We'll see what happens.

I finally caved and got some extremely basic DeviantArt place. Don't expect pr0n, it's just not my style (usually), and if I ever draw anything like that, it's just some usual 'pinup' type thing, I guess.
