Sorry I havent updated in a while, i've been super busy with school. I'm in 3-D Design(sculpture through multiple miscellaneous mediums) and Drawing from Life (drawings starting with boxes and working our way through bottles, fabric, gourds, twigs, dolls, toy trucks, and the figure) All those works will be up after this semester is over and I have a chance to photograph them all. Should be interesting.

Also, I had my showing for 3 months in Lowell, MI. I sold one painting to my best friend, she bought it for her room! She's so great! Also all my paintings and framed photo's will be going up for sale on my ETSY SHOP. Link: --> [link] So please check it out.

I will be uploading more ACEO's and ATC's soon and I'm interested if people want to do an Art Trade with the ATC's. I have bristol board and watercolor paper, so just let me know if you're interested, it would be a lot of fun and I would greatly appreciate the practice.

I havent written in a while so heres an update on me!!

Last week was the worst week of my life...now i'm over it and happy! WOOT!
I have been drawing a lot they just havent gone up, i have two art classes...Drawing and 3-D design, so things should be going up just as soon as i charge my cam. Also, i will be doing more digital stuff as soon as this second musical is over, because i will have time!! YAY!

The Web comic has been in progress today and i have outlined the main characters with their powers and such. The plot summary and script should be done in the next couple of weeks for the first comic. I plan on it being at least 100 pages, if not more. There are 6 main characters and their character sheets should be going up soon. I just need to go get some microns and brush pens, then they will being going up and colored on photoshop. Be warned though, if any of my idea's are stolen, i will not be a happy camper, but i dont believe any of my watchers would do that.

My Life:
Been painting a lot more and i have bought some more supplies to make 5 canvases. I also had an interview at the Fire and Water Art Gallery. I didnt get into it because i am going to school, so she set me up for a 3 month gallery showing running from Jan. to March. I have to have about 10-20 pieces i like to hang up in the show for sale. I also get a day to invite about 100 people for my reception. Cant wait! I also have a spot in the arts and crafts show at the local festival in town. And my work is hanging up in the pizza shop i work at for sale!
Getting lucky lately!! lol

Well we got to talking and i finally asked her what she charged to display and sell artwork there. She told me it was $30 a month and 15% per commission and i had to work there 2 sundays a month. Well that all sounded great to me and i asked her if she would possibly take me on. Well i have an interview with her July 13 to see if i can get my work up there, if its good enough to sell and if it fits in. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that i can get stuff up there before school starts. I'm really excited! Woot!!

MY LIFE:
Okay, so overveiw of my trip to Tenessee
Sunday: night we drove for a couple hours, then slept, we then drove all sunday and ended up at my uncles house in Tenessee at about 5pm. I got some awesome pics of his farm which i will put a couple up soon!
Monday: We drove around Tenessee and my uncle showed us some stuff
Tuesday: We went to Dollywood and the Big Rock Dude Ranch to ride horses, that was tons of fun!!
Wednesday: We left my uncles early and arrived in our campground in North Carolina at about 3pm
Thursday: We went and saw Grandfather Mountain, then went to Gem Mountain and went Gem mining.
Friday: We went to Linville Caverns and went Gem Mining again.
Saturday: we went to Linville Falls and hiked a lot!!
Sunday: we left early that morning and started the drive home. It took 15 hours to get home, we got there about 11pm
Monday: Officially home, hung out at a friends house. that night Taylor (in the women and flowers pics) called me and said her boyfriends mom's photographer cancelled on them and she had seen my pics of liz and taylor. So she asked me to take her family portraits.
Tuesday: I went at noon to take the family portraits and finished up in about 2 hrs. $50 charge (WOOT FIRST MONEY FROM MY PHOTOGRAPHY!!)
Wednesday: Finished up the touch ups on the portraits, delivered one copy of the pics, still waiting for the family to call me
Thursday: writing this journal
Well that's all thats been going on, sorry its written so boringly!!

So...not much going on besides exams are next week and i have a huge problem with artists block right now...i just cant draw for some reason, i can paint fine, but thats at school...oh...so f-ing stressed and bored out of my mind even when i have something to do!!

So i finished my 36"x24" canvas stretcher in furniture class, all i walked away with was a hugely bruised and big gash in my left thumb, so i guess its a fair trade...it hurts like hell too...

Sorry this isnt a fancy journal with an artist of the week and everything, that will start again next sunday, promise!! I'll have a triple feature!! Keep commenting and posting your deviations, your keeping me sane!!!

So this week has been just so much fun...i had to go to school for four straight days!! AHH! it was killer....anyway, i painted mi madre's (my mothers) birthday present and matted it for her, i will put a pic of it up soon. And we totally surprised her with her giant ass birthday party, it was great!! went to the valentines dance last night at our high school, we had so much fun and surprisingly, i'm not sore today...wow!! My Life:
So, Last week, we had tuesday, wednesday, and friday off because of snow, ice, and freezing rain. This canceled my Adv. Bio trip to go see DeepSea 3-D. This week, school was cancelled tuesday due to melting snow and slush(it was about six inches deep), wednesday because of 7inches of accumulated snow and white outs, and today (thursday), because of accumulated snow and the plow trucks were in the ditch...and we have friday and monday off because of mid-winter break. So, this means, My oil painting canvas in painting class has gone two weeks without a second coat of gesso now, i havent even started painting. And my boards in furniture for my canvas stretcher have been ready to be planed for two weeks, nothing is getting done!! AND my Adv. Bio trip has been cancelled twice!! TWICE!! OMG!! I love snow days but this is way overdoing it!! In the past three weeks we have had EIGHT SNOW DAYS!! I'm going fricken crazy sitting at home everyday, not to mention my new canvas cant be used and my six sheets of mattboard are NOT GETTING CUT!!! GRRR! I need to get those paintings up on Ebay.com soon!!! AHHH!! Okay, so....yep, thats about all that has been going on...i'm soo bored *goes to draw more and paint...* yeesh, its like a second winter break! Well, thanks for listening, just thought i should give an update since i have nothing better to do!!

My Life:

Just went yesterday and bought some watercolor paints, a pallette, cavas brush roll, fixative, and 140lb-cold press watercolor paper. The flamingo flower i put up yesterday was a painting i did with my new stuff last night. Hobby Lobby is amazing! They're like Art Van, they're always having a sale!! Anyway, nothing much happened this week. When March rolls around, or sooner, I'm going to set up a paypal account and start selling my paintings...hopefully someone will buy them! My Life

So yesterday i finished my final watercolor painting of a rose for painting class. Tomorrow i get to start painting on canvas with oils! (never tried them, i'm so excited!!) I'm going to do another flower on the canvas, maybe a moonflower or morning glory. I'm not sure yet, if you have any suggestions, comment!

Anyway, my life has been going great! Except for the lack of internet connection. It has been 7 months since my last internet connection at home. I have been doing portfolio reviews at college, thoroughly enjoying (NOT) my AP English class. I hate it. Also, my drawings and paintings (yes, i said paintings) are going great. Please watch for the next couple of days for semi-recent deviations being posted!! I also might be starting a print account when my paintings get up, I dont think I'm doing too bad a job with watercolors!! THEY ARE AMAZING!!

MY COLLEGE:

The college I am attending (I WAS ACCEPTED YAY!!) is in Michigan, where I'm from. I recieved a $7,000 Scholarship for my academics in High School. I also recieved a $1,500 Academic Scholarship (dont know why, all i talked about during the interview was british literature...), and a $1,500 Art Scholarship and a $500 scholarship upon arrival of the college sponsored Art Achievement day. So I'm not doing so bad so far.
Total Scholarship Earnings: (break out the calculator) $10,500
I also scored 25 on my ACT's and am eligible for the Michigan Promise, a $4,000 scholarship.
I'm also in close contact with the Ceramics Proffessor. She is amazing!! She is genuinely interested in her students, unlike most big colleges and universities. We talk to each other on the phone all the time!

I am kind of thinking of doing a doujinishi (fan comic) of wolf's rain or maybe a short manga using a combonation of characters (yours and mine). Just tell me if you would like to join me. I would really like to get a team together and compliment each other. Note me or comment if your interested. The reason i am doing this is because my school year is coming to an end. Summer is soon and i need something to do. Of course, all help will be credited. So even if you want to just let me use one of your characters, YOU WILL BE CREDITED!! If this really takes off, i might make a club dedicated to us and our work. So tell me what you think!!
This will also be great practice on anatomy and manga set up so join, i'm sure you will have fun!!!

So my life:

Well, i just got another grant for art supplies so i will be getting some Copic Markers, Copic Multi-Liners, and Copic Paper Pads. So hopefully i will be able to do something nice with them!!

My school year is coming to an end and i am so FRICKEN GLAD IT IS OVER!!! all i really have left is four weeks of school and exams, nothing really hard to finish now!! WOOT!!!

Spring break will be over tomorrow...yay...back to the books. I get to waste 6 hrs of my life everyday for the next 2 months. Woot...cant u see ima excited...

I get to go to the mall this week and maybe get a couple more art books. Maybe i will get some more tattoo/realism books...feh...i dont know, i will figure it out when i get there.

I havent drawn at all in like a week, so my creative motivation will be up, hopefully soon...yep, lets hope.

Thinking about doing a progress deviation soon, i have been seeing a lot of progress from myself, the latest drawing i really like it!! but thats just me...

Well, what can i say this time?? >.>

Okay, i have ACT tests next week, i believe, or the week after, so i have been studying for those. I decided not to go to FFA State Convention because of the ACT's, I started another novel in 30 days but it isnt due for the class until the end of school so i have a while, and i started working out again because of a show called The Agency.

About the ACT's, now that this test is required by michigan law this year instead of the MEAP tests, i have to study for that. I really need to work on the Sceince and English parts because i hate science and i am really really bad at grammar. Wish me luck!!

FFA is getting really boring and i am not going to run again for a Chapter Officer. Right now i am the Reporter, but i just have too much on my plate as it is and I was asked to run for student council, so i figured student council would be better. That means i will actually have a say in what is going on in my school and not just be another number in the crowd! :woot:

The Novel in 30 days is actually going to be in about 90 days...because of the story project i have to write for creative writing class, i might as well use it for that. Besides, i think i have a really good idea going.

And (cheer me on) i have started working out again because i hate being fat.... :sad: I was doing walks with my friend Tristan but we just got about another foot of snow so i cant walk on the roads anymore without dying of hypothermia. (sp?) I also ran quite a ways the other day and surprised myself that i didnt drop dead of a heart attack. Also, thanks to this new show, The Agency (about models), i have more motivation to look better, it makes me think, "gee, i could look like that if i tried!" so i am trying. Also word to the wise, Ab crunches FRICKEN SUCK!!! :anger:

About my art, i just learned how to watermark and turn my lineart different colors in photoshop. i am super proud of myself for learning that. If anyone needs to learn this stuff, just go to "chat" on DA and go to the photoshop techniques chatroom, it is right on the top of the page. Ask them about this and they all know what to tell you and how to teach you.

Okay, i went on my college vist and...(drumroll)...i was guartanteed the art scholarship next year because the dollar amount may be higher. WOOT!!! SO HAPPY!!

Okay, i just had an epiphany, i kind of want to do a series of realistic drawings based on the Greek Gods. Yes, some of them are going to be semi naked, but since i am underage, i will keep the nudity to a minimum. In fact, now that i think about it, there probably wont be any nudity, it will just be hard to find pictures of people in Roman/Greek threads. I am also working on centaurs!!

]]> ~Berakou http://Berakou.deviantart.com/journal/10816338/ http://Berakou.deviantart.com/journal/10816338/ Fri, 01 Dec 2006 12:55:19 PST I will be getting some design books, mostly tattoo design, Prismacolor Pencils, drawing pencils, erasers, and more sketchbooks, this really sucks because it is all i can afford at the moment...damn...well i still have some pics coming up, i just put one up, i talked to my art teacher about the scholarship and she agreed to help me...what a relief, she wants me to do a painting but i dont really want to, it takes too long and i dont like painting...i asked for an art desk and a tracing table for christmas that are both on sale through Dick Blick art supplies..Hopefully i will get them ^^
we had a snow day today because we had freezing rain and about an inch thick coat of ice on everything, it is melting now, good thing too because i have to work tomorrow!!
i look forward to your art and please comment on mine!!

Hello everyone, just sittin' here looking at all yer wonderful artwork! Gettting some motivation.
I just went and bought the rest of the wolf's rain DVD's, 1&2 of .hack//Sign, complete collection of .hack//Twilight, and Superstar!! I F***ing love Superstar!!! it is sooo funny!! i want to do a portrait of Molly Shannon *Mary Kathrine Gallhager*, and i still have a couple tattoo's to finish and a portrait of a tiger, i know your just dying to see them!!! *yeah right...*
Anyway, i really need some requests and trades so i can keep up on my drawing skills, however terrible they are, because i am going for a portfolio scholorship so i need a portfolio, wouldn't that help?? So i am looking forward to all the requests! *REQUEST NOW!!* :evil:

I have 70lbs to lose until i am considered a normal weight. I will also keep track of clothes sizes too. Plz i need support to get me to do stuff, dont feel bad telling me to get off my ass and do something!!
