I don't want to ruin anything for anyone, so I won't say much about the book. I went to midnight release party in Toronto as Tonks (which was super fun. Everyone knew who I was even though my costume wasn't great) and spent the next 11 hours reading. After which, I spent until noon today either sleeping or struggling to stay awake.

...I still love Snape. He needed more screen-time. Anyone else read the book?

I just came on and realised I haven't submitted anything in two months. Which made me realise I've been back from college for a couple weeks now, and have been yet to complete anything worth submitting. Or even completing.

Once again, I'm open for requests! Tell me who/what you want a picture of, and anything specific about the piece, and it shall be done! At some point.

As for Parma, I'm still not sure where it's going, so it's on an indefinite hiatus. Which means I'll probably clean up the last two pages I'd sketched ages ago, and submit them with in the next few weeks.

I just finished reading Good Omens. It's amazing. I've sketched Aziraphale and Crowley, and might end up making a nice peice on the verge of the apocolypse if I can figure out what some more of the characters would look like. Has anyone else read this? any idea how Pratchette and Gaiman collaborated? Did they each take on parts of the cast, or did one of them come up with the outline and the other do the acutal writing?

I want to submit art, but I feel utterly lost. I wrote up the story arc for Parma, as well as the details and rough sketches of pages 26 through 29 or so over the summer on my breaks at work. And left the in my lunch bag. Which has gone completely missing. Fortunately, I've got the notes up until then, so you get three more pages before I have a break down.

And I've scanned page 24, so expect to see it photoshoped in a week or less!

If you've got any suggestions of characters you'd like me to focus on for a bit while I try to regroup my story, let me know. I'd love to chater to your whims and further procrastinate my modeling homework.

Also, I've lost my notes for the Song Art 50 challenge. Which won't terribly disapoint any of you, but annoys me a tad because I had the quotes arranged in a kind of rhyming narrative that I was rather proud of.

But speaking of SA50, I have my next page done and will submit it Sunday or Monday.

So, anyway, seeing the third years all worried about putting together portfolios has scared me into wanting to finish things. I've gone through my drawings from the last year and book marked everything I kind of like that isn't done, and will be trying to finish up as many as possible before break ends.

I've got two so far, and one more that's half way done. I'll also try and get a bit more Parma up. I'd like to make something new, too, but my creative juices are down to drips. Any requests?

Just finished reading the second Maximum Ride book. If you were intimidated by the size, you should know the chapters are really short so it feels like a quick read. It's about kids who were raised in labs and have their DNA grafted with birds so they have wings. The story's about their lives after they escape. It's really good. I'd love to do some fan art for it.
Also, I finally completed my halloween costume. I may put up some pictures of that in a few days, if any of them turn out. >^^<

I've been spammed *again* but I'm not passing this on. Because I think everyone's done it already. >"|<

1. I can't remember a time before I was drawing/painting/colouring-booking/crafting

2. I first decided to be an animator in 3rd grade, when there was a Disney North in Toronto. I thought I could get an internship there and start by drawing the shorts between programs. All of them, all on my own, in maybe a couple hours each. Upon realising that wasn't possible, I gave up wanting to be an animator for five years.

3. The sketch always looks better than the inked version.

4. I can't complete even the shortest series of drawings in the same style.

5. I still haven't found one style I really like, so I try new things as often as I can think of them.

6. I have never once been completely happy with a piece of art I created.

7. The only art supplies I own that weren't purchased at a dollarstore are my inking pens and what the school gave me last year.

8. I only started planning pieces before drawing them very recently. So recently, I may not have a single deviation here that isn't more or less the same as it's original sketch.

9. The wardrobe makes the character. If the outfit doesn't tell you what kind of person the character is, I feel like I've failed.

10. Almost every time I draw someone standing, their legs will be too long and their head too small.

I don't think there are any great secrets there, sorry. If I think of anything juicier, I'll ammend this. >^-'<

I've had a lot of questions on how to pronounce the names of the characters in Parma. So here, I will try my lousy phonetics so that you too may pronounce the heraldic words wrong in the same manner I do!

Argent: Arr'-gent
Arr (like a pirate) gent (like in "gentleman")

Azure: Ah'-zoor
Ah (like a sigh or scream) zoor (like "zoo" with an 'r' at the end. All one syllable, not like "zoo-er")

Verte: Var'-tay
Var (as in "various") Tay (as in.. "tang"?)

Ore: Or'
Or (as in "or" XD)

Gules: Gu-els, but more like one syllable.
Actually, I say it like "ghouls" (though it's probably supposed to be "goo-lays" or something silly).

Sanguine: Sah'-gwine (the first 'n' is more of an indication for pronouncing the "a" sound, like in Japanese)
Sah (as in... segway. But I might pronounce "segway" wrong. Lets say like the Japanese -san) gwine (as in... nothing has "gwine" in it. It the "gw" sound like in "gwen" but the "g" comes before "wine" instead)

Purpure: Per'-pyur
Per (like "person" or "pur" like a cat) pyur (like "pure")

Sable: say'-buhl
Say (like "say") buhl (like "bull")

And that should be all of the cast. Any other character will be refered to by easily pronouncable title or by a normal, human name. Except perhaps "Sinople", who will be pronounced like"sin" and "opal", if she/he is ever neccessary to the plot.

Since they put in the race track and slots a few years ago, I've wanted to go. Since I actually turned 19, I was promised I'd get to go. Today, I finally did. I brought my 20$ and got IDed and signed up for one of those little cards that give you points and everything. Then I went to the machines.

And could not figure out most of them for the life of me. Somehow I managed to loose 6$ on the nickle slots, in only 3 pulls. So that pissed me off. I spent the rest of the time on the quarter ones and had bad luck at the begining, but found a couple okay machines near the end.

But it's so much harder than the slot machines in the games corner in Pokemon. You win far less often, and you barely win enough to make back what you've lost since the last win.

Maybe that's just because I'm cheap and will only play one line. >^^"<

What really pissed me off, though was that I actually got Triple Sevens on one of the machines, but didn't even get a free pull because 7's only count if you pay more. What a rip off!

Anyway, I was down to about 5$ when I found a good machine and made my way back up 1.25$ at a time, until eventually I was back up to $13.75 and decided to cash out with enough money left for a manga.

And then they didn't even have the new One Piece!

What is your name/age?
Trice Bewinged (obviously) isn't my name, but it starts with the same letteres and has the same sylables. And my name is on (rather by accident) one of my deviations. I won't say which. And I'm 19.

How long have you been an artist/writer?
I've been artsy since kindergarden, when I spent all my time in the craft area or behind it in the painting section. I've writen since we first got creative writing books in the 3rd grade. In 6th and 7th grades I started doing it a lot more, and outside of class. My first attempt at anime was because my friend told me she knew a guy who could draw Drangon Ball Z characters just like the show, and I hated to be shown up.

Do you remember your first drawing?
There were scribbles and things before it, but there was this one picture I worked on for days and days with tons of cats playing. They had scratchposts and airplanes, and one ever had boxers. My mom still loves it.

What is your favorite thing to create?
Dresses and other flowy clothing pieces. A character is just a body before you find the outfit that says who they are.

What is your favorite style of art/writing?
Manga is great. It's really beautiful, but I'm trying to get away from it so I've been re-discovering disney lately. To be able to understand a character from first glance is an art I'm still working at. As for writing, fantasy fiction is my favourite to read and write. I've been really sucked into the Discworld books, lately, and it seems to come out when I try and write now.

What inspires you, outside of other artwork/writing?
Telling my friends about my ideas. If they share the love, it's all I need. If I know there's at least one person you there who'd like to see the finished product, it'll get done. With bells on.

Whose artwork/writing inspires you?
Theatrical disney especially the golden age with Beauty and the Beast and Alddin, anything by the Squarenix people, Avatar, Tim Burton, a ton of manga people (most recently the writer and artist pair for Deathnote). Cornelia Funke and Terry Pratchet's stories make me want to draw the characters or scenes... There's just too many.

Who seems to appreciate your art/writing the most?
My friends in the real world, Lindsay and Vanessa manage to get sucked into everything I do. But on a per-piece basis, it's gotta be the grandparents.

Do you do anything artistically, outside of your main art form of choice?
Ha ha, I bet you guys didn't even know I wrote. Woops. Aside from that, I love hands on crafts. I've made two cosplay costumes so far, some stuffd things and random other sewing projects. And I make little sculpy things. I need more work on these skills, so generally you won't see them. I love my blue acoustic guitar, and my lovely butterfly electric, as well as singing with them, but that's a pain I rarely subject others to.

What does your family think of your art/writing?
They're the typical "you're so great~<3~!" parents, but they generally only get to see the stuff from school. I get embarrassed if I show them anything completely of my own. It's silly, but it seems like an invasion of privacy. The stuff I make is my own little world, usually to get away from them so I don't want them envolved.

What do your friends think?
Every once in a while there's a "what were you thinking?", but generally my home-friends love it and my college friends are mildly interested as a whole, but like individual pieces. They've told me they've wanted to or were going to read my manga 15 times (against my want them) but so far, no one has told me they have.

Do you have original artwork from others in your home?
Generally I have to I have steal things from people. A sketch someone was going to throw away, a sculpted cat that was going to return to the plastercine ball, or ask for it as presents for varying occasions.... But I have print outs of Parma-art people ahve drawn me, and even the original of Azure by ~Foxxeh. In a frame.

Where do you go to create your art/writing?
My bedroom. Generally laying on my bed, head at the foot end because the light's better there.

What are you most proud of about your art/writing?
That's I can actually see it's getting better. Itwas sagnent for so long I want to jump for joy when I draw something and it looks... Right, even.

What do you wish to improve about it?
I want my characters to stop looking stiff. And like anime. And I want to learn the silhouetting thing. And composition. And to draw noses that don't all look the same with out being hooks or lumpy. And colour in general.

What is your favorite thing about being an artist/writer?
That I'm very easily entertained. T...

Woo, haven't had a new journal entry all year, so it's about time. Since then I've turned 19, put up with a teacher strike, voted for the first time and drawn noctious amounts of art work (none of which you get to see, because it's all school work).
I've also hit my second marker for a kiriban, and haven't even got to putting up the request for first one. I might just stick to pageviews in general, and forget the message one, since I've missed the mark by 11.
I have finished the first chapter of Parma, and a few pages into the second. I'd post them now, but then you'd have an even longer wait for the next ones.
I have started playing Kingdom Hearts II. But it's a rental. And at my friend's house. So while it doesn't occupy me 24/7, it does so 3 hours a day and just dominate my mind the rest of it. God I wish I'll be able to animate like those cut-scenes one day...

But, mostly, I've been busy with school work and the rude interuptions of reality.

I try to keep on top of all the comments, but the deviatations and journals tend to build up. If I don't comment on something, I'm sorry but know that I always view them and appreciate them or I wouldn't be watching you. It could take me a month to view it, but I will. Unless it's writing, then I'll probably just leave in my inbox until summer vacation. But even then, I'll read it.

School has been both a good and bad influence. I've got two new projects which I'm frequenty drawing the characters of. Neither have a proper name yet. One features cowboys, the other angels. If I get around to colouring some of the art from either, I may share it.
The cowboy story is to be an animation (the first scene is storyboarded) but the trouble is finding guys to voice act. I may just end up getting my friends and myself to try and talk lower, but it will still sound funny. Probably better than our guy-friends would do, thoogh. >^-'<
As for Parma, I'm still working on it, I'm just really, really slow which you should all know by now. But there are 9 pages already, and I've got a couple more mostly done.
For us in Canada, it's Thanksgiving weekend. Which means, for the first time in six weeks I'll be going home! Which also means it'll be back to the slow internet, and I may be too busy to get on at all. So all though I might reply, don't expect anything until Tuesday.
However this also means I'll have access to a scanner for the first time in six weeks. Which means the three or hour new pages of Parma I've drawn since I got here will finally be posted! And I can start CGing some linearts... There aren't a lot worth scanning, but its the fact that I can.

I've gotten into the mildly-bad habit of drawing fan art (bad because I should be drawing other things. Like my homework) and don't think it's going to stop. I was thinking of making a new account for it. Should I do that or just post it here?

I'm assuming that with no internet and very little homework for three days (unless we get more narratives work >-.-< ) I'll actually have time to draw! So, if anyone has any requests, if you put it in before 5:00PM (eastren time) I'll probably at least have a pencil sketch for you on Tuesday!

...That's all I can think of at the moment. I need to pack...

Soo.... this weekend was the event I had waited all summer for! (well, that and for the new Our Lady Peace cd, but that's another two days.....) The CNAnime expo!! There's like, 5 different conventions all wrapped into one (comic, sci-fi, horror and gaming), but I was just looking forward to the anime.
I endded up only going Saturday and working it, but that endded up working really, really well! I got to spend more time with my friend :RedPegesus:, talk to all the cos-players that I would otherwise nto have the gutts too, it kept me from spending all my money AND I got paid in merchandise, so my stuffie Gaara <3 and Konoha necklace were free! >^^<

Working...:
I was in charge of mouse-pads. I thought I'd have nothing to do, but those things sell like crazy! We sold completely out of two styles from Advent Children, a Hellsing, a Trigun, Kyo from Fruits Basket, one of just Naruto and some more I can't remember. If you went tot he convention (it was in Toronto) and bought one, I have met me. I was the girl in the ridicous purple shiney shirt with the sequin lightening bolt who might have looked like she was cos-playing, but that's just how I usually look....
Oh, and there was a girl who loooked sooooo much like it wasn't even funny. Mostly because I started talking to her like she *was* Foxxeh, and she's like, 'I don't know you....'
And part of my duties also considered of doing a guy dressed as Cloud from Advent Children's hair and tripping over his sword.

What else I bought....:
In 45 minutes, I managed to visit every anime booth and make it back to the one I was working at. And spend exactly $100 CND. Which is good, because it was only half of what I brought. I got the 6th and 7th One Piece and the 7th Fairies' Landing, but was dissappointed because they didn't have the super-cheap manga deals they usually do. So, I spent the rest of my money on Naruto merchandise and feel pretty silly about it, but they didn't have much Bleach and I haven't read enough FMA yet to justify buy much of their stuff... So I got the little froggy change purse and a really small wallet (my Jackskelleton one is huge, so a small one will be nice) and stickers and posters and a postcard book and key-chains...
My other friend wasn't working the convention, and I told her to find me a Neji plushie so they wouldn't all be sold out on me, and she was like, 'They don't have one, they have Rock Lee' but but but, the booth beside us had lil' ones and all you could see was Shikamaru, but I asked and the guy had a Neji one and I got it, so now I'm really happy because I have my two favourite characters and won't have to by another stuffy ever!! Or, until I get obsessed with FMA or they have more Bleach toys...

Cos-players....:
Like I mentioned, I wasn't one, I just happened to look like a super-hero that day. >^^"<
It was the first con I've been to that Inu Yasha characters were actually out numbered. The first one where I did not see a single senshi or saiyan. There is a change int he anime-tides.....
The most people from a series were Naruto, probably mostly because it's got more characters than any other series would want to have. There seemed to be more male-fans of the series, but it was almost all girl's cos-playing them, except for a couple Sasuke's, Choji's and a Sosori of the Red Sand. And maybe a Kankurou, it's hard to tell when only the face shows and it's painted...
The most people dressed as a single character would have to be Ed from Fullmetal Alchemist. I lost count of them somewhere after 15. Yet, with all the tons and tons of fans of the series, only one person was dressed as Al. Probably because it too her four months to make the costume.
What surprised me most what that there were half a dozen people dressed from Prince of Tennis. Oh, that and the number of characters I couldn't recognise at all. Like, couldn't even guess at.

Anyway, I had a reallly really fun time and it was the one place I went this summer with more coloured hair than Warped Tour.

Question: I've finished the first page of my comic, but haven't uploaded it because I don't know what category it would go in. It was drawn and completely inked by hand, but then I scanned it, enchanced the inking and added screan tone by computer. Does that make it traditional or digital?

Manga: Gah! Still obsessed with Naruto. I've just finished reading the 15th volume, which is all Gaara's backstory. (Most common utterance while reading : Awwww!! <3 >~-~&lt
Also picked up the second Bleach today. Still looking for FMA. Hopefully the August convention will have some. The last convention was *entirely* sold out by the time we got there.

Movies: I feel like a dork, but I went and saw Sky High. I feel like even more of a dork for loving. While the rest of the characters spoof the north american comic hero, Warren Peace could have stepped out of manga. I love his character sooo much! And I don't feel wierd about saying that about a character in a kid's movie because I searched the actor and he's a year older than me.

Whatever else...: Since I finished the first book of Omnia that I was writing with a friend, I've started planning another. And now I've just found out that the name I had fallen in love with for my leading man is a Danish girl's name. >>-<<

Since I'm back at work on my own comic, and have got the explanatory animation almost done (it just needs a loading bar. I need to learn to make a loading bar...) I figure I'll show off those of you people I'm watching.
For the brief while I have the capability to use thumbnails, I'm going to!

Faith by

So, all these planets are at war with each other, except for one: it's at war with itself. Gabrielle and Gabriel are watching over it at the moment while Keahi, Josae and Mina go about their normal lives... The story hasn't completely come out yet, but you'll like the characters.

This is the first one I started following on DA. The main charater's Tsugato (at elast he was supposed to be) but when his odd new babysitter, Rashi, shows up, he kinda steals the scene. Though the comic stops after 15 pages, you can go read "Tales of the past" to get an idea of everyone's backstory. I'd tell you about it, but I'm only on the 2nd tale of the past.

I only caught up on reading it recently, so I can still remember this one pretty well. As if high school's not bad enough on it's own, Jayvee has to go to a new school. Jan quickly takes him in as a friend and things are going fine; until girls come into the picture...

There are aliens, and these aliens are after a girl. She doesn't know why, but would *you* stick around to find out? This is a new comic, so I can't really tell you a lot about it. I can, however, tell you that Night's got a million stories in her head and they're all great. When you add that to her drawing-skills, you know Onna's gonna be good.

Expect to see Parma within the week, weither I figure out the loading page or not.
What with the possitive feedback on mydrawing of Azure, and 's drawing of her, I've been inspired to work more on the story. And since there's only one more day of regular classes, I might actually do something more than simply 'be inspired'.

I've already been working on the animation that (very roughly) explains what's going on, and I've got over fifty more frames made. I used to call the story "Parma" which mean "shield" but think I want a new name for it. Until then, Parma's what I'll be calling this project.

I want to add dialgue, though, but don't really want real voices because there are very few people I'll still be in contact with over the summer and next year and I wouldn't want to get different voices if I make a new animation later. So, I think it's going to have to have subtitles or something...

Thanks to everyone who or commented on Obteramentum, it means a lot!

Some of you may ahve noticed that I haven't submitted, commented or replied for.... A fairly long while. This is partly due to my laziness, but mostly due tot he fact I haven't been on deviant art lately.
So, wanna know why?
....
Gundam Wars! It's a little stop-frame animation I made over the long-weekend when I was bored out of my mind. Eventually my friends just stopped by my house to get me, and it was 8 at night and I was still in my pijamas... At anyrate, not only have I finished an episode, but it's online! I couldn't get it into Flash, so it won't be uploaded on dA, but you can visit it here:

It's been 2 months to the day since my last entry, and I haven't posted art in ages, so I'm going to assume you all believe I'm dead. Worse, I'm in grade 12. Taking an extra class that I may not even get a credit for. Well, that's the Ontario school board for you.
So, aside from just letting you all know I'm safe and sound, I was going to let you know I'll be putting more art up soon. I have a few pieces fromt he summer I never got around to, and I'm *planning* to find drawing time this week end sicne we have an extra day.
Happy Thanks Giving to all my Canadian friends.
(American's too, I guess, it's just that theirs isn't this weekend and ours is)

Because I am mildly tramuatised and can't remember my blog's password, you all get the fortune of hearing my story, and that of Cory the snake.
On our way home from Chapters, my Dad remembers we left some parts to a Corvette we bought at his friend's house. So, when we stop by to pick them up, the man isgoing through thebag and finds a snake. Not a big, vicious one or anything, just a small, cute snake. My Dad decides we can bring it home and I'm thrilled; finally a pet of my own!
The whole ride home, I held the margarine container (with airholes in the lid) containing my snake and thought of names for it. I was thinking Willow for a girl, because of the colour, and if it was a boy, Raine (after Raine Maida or OLP) or Salazar (after the founder of Slytherin hosue, but I decided he was too evil). We realised we had no clue how to find the gender, so I ended up naming it "Corvette" fromt he parts from which it came, and calling it "Cory" for short.
Of course, when we got home my mom is far from happy. I got an empty fishtank from the basement and filled it with some sticks, grass and wildflowers (as well as the porcelien log) and found a small tray for water. We let the snake in, and it was tramuatised.
Cory spent the entire evening hiding in the little porcelien log, but by bedtime was starting to peak out. It's because it's nocturnal (which any pet of minereally should be) but I couldn't stay with it because I worked the next day.
That afternoon I had called the Reptile Man (I think it's called...) and asked him what to feed it. He said grub. I knew then, I would never be able to keep Cory.
The next morning (Saturday) I woke up and went to see Cory, but I couldn't. Thinking it had perhaps gone deeper into the porcelin log, I didn't bug him. He hadn't, though. He had gone all about our house, and into my dad's shoe at the front door.
Cory wanted to be free, needed to be free, needed to feed himself because I can't touch grub, so we had to let poor Cory go. He is now living under our deck, unless he's trying to go back to his home, which is a long way away.
I'm sad. Cory is seperated from it's friends, and I am once again pet-less. > T-T< I need goldfish or something.

Finally, my exams are over and I should have some time again. There were -weeks- when all I could do was projects, study, or practise. Now I can draw again!
My first project is to get moving on some of the comics I've started and then not drawn any more to. I have the prologue drawn out for two of them, and there's another one that's nearly 20 pages in (but I started at the end, and am going to have to go back and explain everything up till the point...) and I have some Flash stories.
Oh, and upload the flipbooks. Someone at school wanted me too. They're just stick people, but they move and do stuff depending on what book... I think I'm going to work on some good quality still drawings for a while, though.
Well, the point is, I have free time and will take advantage of it soon. So you'll see more stuff by me soon!

I don't rent a lot of movies, but I finally got around to seeing this one. Big fish... The comercials said it was "Tim Berton's master piece" and the reveiws all said it was horrible. I never agree with the critics.
I thought it was a great story, although I have to admit I liked the stories in the movie better than the movie's stories, but then again- that was kind of the point, wasn't it?
Not to mention it was cinematically stunning. A great use of special effects, and it's making me want to get into that feild instead...

I just had to say something because of the date. 04 of 04 of 04. It's also spring forward, which is never much fun because we lose an hour of our weekends and sleep. It's been spring for atleast a week now, and it's snowing. At this moment. It's just not right.
I've been experiementing with different drawing and colouring techniques lately. Still haven't found anything that feels right. The lastest attempted is "Making Waves" which I'm going to upload in a few minutes. Then I'm going to enjoy that hour less of sleep while it's still there. >^^"<
