Today, 3 weeks later, I finally got my check for the overdraft fees. I also just discovered that several days after I had checked out they charged another $354 to my credit card. WTF!!!! Now I have to fight with them to find out why they charged this to my card. Needless to say, I am overdrawn again.

I highly recommend that everyone stay away from the W hotel. What a nightmare.

Upon installation, the OSX.Trojan.iServices.A Trojan Horse, which stows away inside the cracked iWork 09 package, gains read-write-execute permissions for root, and then allows for a malicious user to connect to the Mac remotely.

This is the first serious OS X malware to make it passed the proof of concept stage into the real world.

To remove the Trojan from infected systems.
1) (open Terminal.app)
2) sudo su (enter password)
3) rm -r /System/Library/StartupItems/iWorkServices
4) rm /private/tmp/.iWorkServices
5) rm /usr/bin/iWorkServices
6) rm -r /Library/Receipts/iWorkServices.pkg
7) killall -9 iWorkServices

Well I just completed my Apple Macintosh Certified Technician tests. I needed 68% for the software OS and got 88%. I needed 80% for the hardware portion and got 90.74%. I am so glad that I am done with this for another year.

Or am I. My boss now would like me to study for the Apple OS X Support Essentials test and the Apple OS X Server Essentials test.
Support Essentials should not be too hard the book is only about 3 inches thick! I probably already know 3/4 of it.
The Server stuff though is an entirely different beast. I know nothing about servers. Oh well, I am an old dog but I guess I will still have to learn a few new tricks.

I am currently in the process of trying to become an Akvis affiliate so I can sell their programs as e-commece.
It has been 3 weeks since I got the epidural in my neck. So far it still feels decent. Yeah I still hurt most of the time, but it is very bearable.
Terri has been off work for several weeks due to having several blood clots in her leg after knee surgery. She is hoping to be released back to work on monday.

I took Terri for her post op visit after knee surgery and they found several blood clots. She is now in the hospital for a week. I just got back and took my meds. Waiting for them to kick in so I can sleep. Please pray for Terri.

For anyone who has never used Akvis Sketch, it will take a photo and turn it into a sketch. It has to be the easiest program to learn and tweak that I have ever used. For $72.00 it is a bargain. Can be either a stand alone program or a photoshop plug in.

To cool.
Currently I hold the Apple certified desktop technician and also the Portable technician which are good for a year. They have been combined into one certification, Apple Certified Macintosh Technician which requires the hardware test and software test.
So much studying makes my head hurt. You know what they say about old dogs.

He got real skinny while at the vets. Probably down to 100 pounds. Gideon is so glad to be home with us and our other dogs. (and so are we).
While he was gone my wife rescued a black and tan coon dog that was minutes away from being put down. He is a cool dog and Gideon and his doggy bride Hannah love him.
