Hi Everyone,
Normally I don't send emails in the middle of the month and trust me, I shan't start to send you emails weekly but this time I had to make an exception. As I mentioned earlier this year, several of my Celtic knot paintings have been licensed to a cross-stitch company and from now until Monday, 20th of April you have the opportunity to purchase the first Four of my knots as cross-stitch patterns by going to this page- [link] and scrolling down to the bottom of the page and you will find 4 of my Celtic knots. If you're into creating cross-stitch designs or know someone who does enjoy cross-stitching you'll want to go there and check these wonderful designs out for yourselves and you'll also be able to order them directly there. I hope many of you will go to the link provided and share this with your friends & family who enjoy cross-stitching Celtic knots

Sincerely,
Mike S.

Hi all,

Time for my weekly vote update tally for all of you who are kind enough to vote each day for me As of this past Friday, May 4th- (that's when they updated the vote tallies this time- not sure why lol but whatcha gonna do right?) Anyways, my vote count stands at 1157 votes!! this is wonderful but only a lil over a hundred votes ahead of the 2nd place person so naturally I'm still cautiously optomistic. I do want to thank each of you though who has been voting for me daily and tell you how much I sincerely appreciate it. I kindly ask you to continue to vote daily for me please at [link] and I'll send a few more updates throughout the week to remind you; hope ya don't get sick of me LOL

Thank you,
Mike

First off, much thanks to everyone who's been voting for me daily; I really appreciate it a lot; I got this week's new tally in and our 2 wk total as of this morning at 10 am is 705 votes which is fantastic but it's only 25 votes ahead of the person in 2nd place so i'm going to do something uncharacterstic of me and ask each of you to please tell anyone and everyone to also vote for me daily please; even one extra vote can mean the matter of winning or losing the contest. I'm not one to ask for favors, in fact I HATE to do so lol but in the case of my career I have to make that exception so again, I thank those of you who have been great and voting for me daily and ask u to please keep up the great work.

Hi everyone,

I kindly ask for your vote; I've been lucky enough to have some of my newest work featured at best of artists website and I need each of you to vote for me daily if you can. The winners will have their work put in their next publication which would be a tremendous boost for my work and career I thank you and please share this with anyone who you might think would like my work. You'll have to look for the name "Mike Sexton" but this link should take u to the page my work's being shown on; you'll just have to scroll down the page a bit to see it. Thank you very much.

Recently I was asked to donate a few of my prints to a dog auction down in Texas where the funds raised would go towards providing help for dogs with heartworm- for those not familiar with this disease- it's actually a living worm that migrates into the dog's heart and once in there it's extremely difficult to get rid of- the treatment alone can sometimes cause death due to the dog's weakened condition and the chemicals used but it's the only way to save their lives if the owners haven't kept their pet on a heartworm preventative. Anyways, I thought this a worthwhile project and so I happily donated 3 prints that I framed and shipped to them. I am putting this here because I think this is a great way to also get your work noticed by a new crowd of people. You get free publicity basically from it by the auction attendees seeing your work and at the same time you're helping a very noble and worthy cause.
I'm not suggesting everyone donate their work to a dog auction but to any kind of auction where charities are concerned- great way to help the community and get your work noticed. Just an idea

If you write short stories or articles that deal with wildlife issues- preferably the type I feature in my stores- big cats, birds, pets- or perhaps your area deals more with mythology- like dragons, griffons or ancient cultures like Ancient Egypt---then I invite you to send me your story and perhaps you'll be featured in my monthly newsletter as well as having your story posted here at my website for the entire month that it's been chosen. In addition to short stories or articles, I will also consider poetry in the same categories as above.
Hello all,

I'm extremely new to this whole thing. I've been designing tags with Paintshop pro for nearly 2 yrs, mostly dealing with designing animations. I've been getting alot of various artists' permissions to use their work and I started drawing some of my own stuff, getting the hang of using the mouse to draw with psp to create my own designs. I'll be honest, my work's not to the level that I want it to be yet, I really want to strive for authenticity, especially where the real animals are concerned, I don't mind a cartoonish look too much regarding the imaginary creatures I've made. Any help you wish to provide me would be greatly appreciated regarding tips on different techniques, I'm all ears. I don't have any prices on my work as you can see, I don't think I'd make any money at the level I'm at right now but if anyone wants one, we can discuss it and I promise the price will be reasonable as I'd hardly charge a fortune for my designs. Also, for anyone who wants to use my work in tube form for Sig tags and such, all I ask of you is to email me first asking and I will more than likely grant you my permission; I know how it is to work with artists in this area so I try to keep my perspective from both sides.
Thanks for looking
