OK, I joined this community exactly 2 years ago, and in two years I reached 7700 page views (not that important to me...OK a bit...) and my 313 deviations were viewed 16,591 times!! I think it's a really good number for photos and digital work like mine! Hehe
So for 2007 I hope it will be even a better year for me, on a personal level, getting a better career, intensify my skills on photography, design, blah blah blah...

Cold and rainy days are here for our entertainment! So get your cape and stay away from the rain! Well... I enjoy walking in the rain...

Meanwhile, I'm with total lack of inspiration for photography in this last few weeks... Any ideias people?? Maybe a new cam would help! If somebody is interested in doing some shots with me (not as a model! well...depends...lol) send me a note or something.
I'm doing some manipulations on some stock found here and sxc.hu. Working on my website, still workin on the layout... It will be something minimalist with a smooth and nice visual impact and last but not the least, creating a few more t-shirts designs for the band More than a thousand, here's a previous work [link] Tell me what you think of them.

And in other news, maybe in January i'll be working with a friend of mine in London! But let's just wait and see for further news...

I'm currently listening to Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly - The Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager, pretty interesting acoustic\indie\electronic album\band.
Changing the beat (a lot) I'm also listening to a very cool drum & bass album by Ed Rush and Optical - Chameleon! A must for those who like d&b!
And headbanging to some covers by Ill Niño from their new The Undercover Sessions EP!! Playing songs by Faith No More, Peter Gabriel and Nirvana... And 2 originals!

Ps: Found this stupid game made in flash, called MOSH here's the [link] you just need to headband to the music! As simple as that!
My skill is 'great' with a score of 47142 and with a excessive non-frenzy moshing penalty of 8400... THATS BAD!! lolol And the music kinda sucks after a few tries...

The Approaching Curve

The music blared with a calming frequency.
The speakers gently seeped the sound of ambient keyboards and light percussion,
creating a seductive soundtrack to our midnight drive through curtains of blackness.
The windows were cold to the touch, reflecting the icy conditions in our immediate extremity.
Salt stains and fingerprints littered the glass, and streets with melted snow cascaded down its length.
The music pulsed louder, yet gentle, like the far away squeal of a pot of boiling water.
The skyline was glowing faintly with a vague hint of an impending dawn.
The car raced along a painfully straight stretch of road, and she hadn’t so much as turned the steering wheel two degrees in the last twenty minutes,
nor had we spoken.

As we were, so perfect, so happy.
They'll remember, only our smiles 'cause that’s all they’ve seen.
Long since dried, when we are found, are the tears in which we had drowned.
As we were, so perfect, so happy.

“Why are you doing this?” she spoke as if not expecting a response.
Her voice penetrated the still air of our speechless drive, so suddenly that my heart had jumped.
“I’m not doing anything,” I said, but I didn’t even believe that myself.
“This is what’s best, for me, for you, for us, or maybe just for me,” I thought,
as a tear formed in the pit of her eye. The music poured through the speakers
and we were losing ourselves in the cadence. She looked down momentarily and closed her eyes for a bit longer than a standard blink. Then she was crying. Then she was shouting.
Then I was shouting, now pouring confessions, having no answers, or solutions,
we barely even knew the questions.

As we were, so perfect, so happy.
They’ll remember, only our smiles 'cause that’s all they’ve seen.
Long since dried, when we are found, are the tears in which we had drowned.

Mastodon, só posso dizer que a mosh que deu foi pouca! Isto porque havia papeis afixados à entrada onde dizia, Proibido mosh e crowd surfing!!!!!! Na 1ª vez que houve mosh aparece um segurança com uma lanterna a separar o pessoal!!! Onde já se viu isto?!?! Mas a verdade é que o bacano do segurança nunca mais apareceu e sempre que possivel havia mosh quer no concerto de Mastodon quer no concerto de Tool. O som não estava a 100% mas deu para mt headbang, tendo sido um concerto com muita energia e mt mosh à mistura!

Só foi pena ter sido também Proibido filmar e tirar fotografias pois máquinas fotograficas não entravam no recinto se bem que a policia deixou passar umas... A minha não passou, logo não há fotos destes concertos! F_ck!!!!

De salientar que Tool vai regressar a Portugal no final do verão, (talvez no festival Paredes de Coura?!) segundo disse Maynard.

Can't wait to have it!!!! Got some songs like Rapture that sounds so fucking amazing!!! I just love it!!!
From what I read, most of the reviews say that the new album will be a mix of 'White Pony's' and 'Deftones' albums... Hmmm... Let just wait and see.
The 1st single 'Hole on the earth' it's so gooooood!!! The video its pretty good, but NOT amazing. Have you watched it? If so what do you think of it and the song also.

Meanwhile, I'm listening to the new of Black Dahlia Murder 'Miasma'. For those who like black metal this is an awesome album!! A lot better than the previous album 'Unhallowed'. On this new album the guitars and drums sound better and lyriclly are darker and filthier. HELL YEAH!
Another great album that I recomend is the new Unearth's 'III: In The Eyes Of Fire'. They just get better album after album.
And other album that I trully recomend is the 'Desperate Mans Diary' from these talented kids called Glass Casket. They play with such an amazing accuracy, rhythm and brutallity that is just A MUST!

A Little Guide To Heavy Metal Schools by ~LadyEntropy

DISCLAMER: The word "Fuck" will be used a lot. So if you're a minor or easily offended... WE'RE SORRY! (not)

To understand the different types of Metal music once and for all, let's imagine a situation and their respective endings from the approach of each school.

"In a tall castle there is a beautiful (and who hadn't had sex in a LOOONG time) princess imprisoned, and who is 'guarded' by a fierce and mighty dragon... Now along comes a dashing prince..."

And the ending of this adventure is:

Melodic metal: he travels to the castle, on a white steed, dodges the dragon, saves the princess. They run away, very far away, and make love under the stars...

Thrash Metal: he runs to the castle, kicks the dragon's arse, rescues the princess, and then fucks her.

Power Metal: he arrives brandishing his claymore sword and fights a glorious battle against the dragon. After the dragon falls, he bathes in his enemy's blood. He rescues the princess. He nearly annoys her to death with self-praises. Only then does he fuck her.

Traditional Heavy Metal: he runs the dragon over with a Harley Davidson, stuff his (and the princesse's) face with beer and later, he fucks her.

Folk Metal: a bunch of people arrive playing acordeon, flute and violin, and make the dragon fall asleep after too much dancing. They return to the forest where they have a cave full of female elves, nymphs, fairies, dryades waiting for them to fuck, and they leave the princess in the castle.

Viking Metal: he arrives in his horse, goes and cleaves the dragon in two with a battleaxe, roasts and eats the dragon. Then he goes and fucks the princess, steals everything of value from the castle, and then goes to sleeps in front of a bonfire.

Death Metal: He arrives. He kills the dragon. He fucks the princess. He kills the princess. He goes away.

Black Metal: he arrives at dawn, moving from inside the mist. He kills the dragon and impales in the front of the castle. He captures the princess for a ritual. He bleeds her to death and drinks her blood. Then he impales her alongside the dragon, because he discovered that she wasn't a virgin anymore.

Gore Metal: he arrives and kills the dragon. He gets in the castle, fucks the princess and kills her. Then, he fucks her again. Then, he opens a lot of holes in the princess's flesh and fucks each one of those holes. He pulls her eyes out and fucks the eye sockets. Now he burns the princess. Afterwards, he fucks the dragon too. Then he's hungry, so he eats the dragon and the princess.

Doom Metal: he arrives, looks at the size of the dragon, gets depressed and kills himself. Then, the dragon comes, fucks him and afterwards it eats him.

Industrial Metal: He kills the dragon with the aid of a lot of high-tech weapons. He returns home. He connects his computer. He masturbates while looking at Jenna Jameson.

Progressive Metal: He wants to show all his fancy fencing technique to the dragon. He bores dragon to death after a lengthy explanation, and then leaves.

A very but very short resume of all written bellow:
I like a good song\band that show's me something, a felling, a way of thinking... even if that song or band is an EMO song or band!!
Fuck all those "wanna be" emo, gothic, metal and so on!! Just be your self and STAY truth to yourself!!

Para mim emo somos todos, pk tds nós temos emoções quer sejam boas ou más.
N vou passar a ser mais emo se me vestir de preto, pintar as unhas de preto, escrever poesia de casa de banho, notas suicidas por ai e sei lá que mais.... São todos uns palhaços aqueles seguem modas, pk têm amigos que se vestem assim ou assado, que têm certas atitudes e que desejam ser iguais a eles...qual é a piada nisto?? NENHUMA!!!
Muitas das letras que as bandas emo fazem vêm da imaginação de quem as compõem, n sao realidade cm uma boa parte das letras no mundo do metal e n só...
De uma maneira ou de outra, tds (ou ks tds) as letras têm ou mostram ou transmitem emoções quer elas sejam realidade ou ficção. Quer sejam tocadas por uma banda emo, rock, pop, metal ou outro genero qualquer! Emo, é so uma maneira de catalogar pessoas ou um genero musical e todos sabemos isso. E mesmo este "catalogar" bandas n é algo standard. O que pode ser algo pra mim, pode n o ser pra outra pessoa. Mas se formos a uma loja de musica e procurarmos uma banda, ela tem que tar em algum lado pk n existe nas lojas secções com o nome, "genero indefinido"...
N vou deixar de gostar da musica ou banda "x" pk tem um bom ritmo, uma boa parte vocal e bons acordes, por ser catalogada EMO (ou as suas variantes cm emo-core, hardcore-emo, punk-emo, fusion-emo (este rotulo desconhecia!fusion-emo?soa a kê??a td c 1 tok de emo?lol), etc...).
No fundo, (e para resumir isto td) caso a musica\banda seja boa, ouço!! Quer seja emo ou outro genero qualquer!

Bom dia a todos os interessados, no projecto UnderGround Studios daki Miguel a.k.a Miyka'el, um dos 3 founders da UGS. Vim trazer algumas novidades sobre o projecto, venho apenas dizer o k se tem passado ultimamente; alguns já devem saber, pk teclaram cmg pelo messenger e informei de td, portanto a esses n liguem a este mail lol

- lembram se, k eu tinha um webmaster k fazia o site se tivesse a certeza de uma comunidade com um minimo de 200 pessoas confirmadas? pois...a boa noticia é k ja consegui os 200 artistas...a má, é k ele desapareceu :S, n responde aos mails, epah...desapareceu...

ponto numero dois:
- passou se uns dias e arranjei outro webmaster, um profissional k vive disso....mas como vive disso consequentemente cobrava me 500 euros pelo design e manuntenção do site todo...:S fiquei um pouco "engatado", ainda n lhe disse k n, pk tenho tentado arranjar maneira de "cortar" as despezas...

ponto numero tres:
- passou se alguns dias...mt poucos....apareceu outro webmaster! ele disse k levava metade do preço, 250 euros...disse k optava por ele, se ele me demonstrasse k tinha bons skills, et meti o á prova...disse pra ele fazer uma makete e dps logo se via se ele ia servir....passou se uns dias e ele fez a "tal" makete...k podem ver aki por mt pouco tempo k ele tem k deletar isso daí pk é host da faculdade -> [link] .....epah...cmo vêm...epah...eu pelo menos n dou 250 euros por isso....

A Little Guide To Heavy Metal Schools

DISCLAMER: The word "Fuck" will be used a lot. So if you're a minor or easily offended... WE'RE SORRY! (not)

To understand the different types of Metal music once and for all, let's imagine a situation and their respective endings from the approach of each school.

"In a tall castle there is a beautiful (and who hadn't had sex in a LOOONG time) princess imprisoned, and who is 'guarded' by a fierce and mighty dragon... Now along comes a dashing prince..."

And the ending of this adventure is:

Melodic metal: he travels to the castle, on a white steed, dodges the dragon, saves the princess. They run away, very far away, and make love under the stars...

Thrash Metal: he runs to the castle, kicks the dragon's arse, rescues the princess, and then fucks her.

Power Metal: he arrives brandishing his claymore sword and fights a glorious battle against the dragon. After the dragon falls, he bathes in his enemy's blood. He rescues the princess. He nearly annoys her to death with self-praises. Only then does he fuck her.

Traditional Heavy Metal: he runs the dragon over with a Harley Davidson, stuff his (and the princesse's) face with beer and later, he fucks her.

Folk Metal: a bunch of people arrive playing acordeon, flute and violin, and make the dragon fall asleep after too much dancing. They return to the forest where they have a cave full of female elves, nymphs, fairies, dryades waiting for them to fuck, and they leave the princess in the castle.

Viking Metal: he arrives in his horse, goes and cleaves the dragon in two with a battleaxe, roasts and eats the dragon. Then he goes and fucks the princess, steals everything of value from the castle, and then goes to sleeps in front of a bonfire.

Death Metal: He arrives. He kills the dragon. He fucks the princess. He kills the princess. He goes away.

Black Metal: he arrives at dawn, moving from inside the mist. He kills the dragon and impales in the front of the castle. He captures the princess for a ritual. He bleeds her to death and drinks her blood. Then he impales her alongside the dragon, because he discovered that she wasn't a virgin anymore.

Gore Metal: he arrives and kills the dragon. He gets in the castle, fucks the princess and kills her. Then, he fucks her again. Then, he opens a lot of holes in the princess's flesh and fucks each one of those holes. He pulls her eyes out and fucks the eye sockets. Now he burns the princess. Afterwards, he fucks the dragon too. Then he's hungry, so he eats the dragon and the princess.

Doom Metal: he arrives, looks at the size of the dragon, gets depressed and kills himself. Then, the dragon comes, fucks him and afterwards it eats him.

Industrial Metal: He kills the dragon with the aid of a lot of high-tech weapons. He returns home. He connects his computer. He masturbates while looking at Lara Croft.

Progressive Metal: He wants to show all his fancy fencing technique to the dragon. He bores dragon to death after a lengthy explanation, and then leaves.

Gothic Metal: since music soothes even the wildest beast, he calls a cute girl with a sexy voice to sing for the dragon. It doesn't work, so he returns home and fucks the cute girl with a sexy voice.

New-metal: he wants to prove to all the others that he is also great and capable of saving the princess. He boasts how great he is, how innovative he is, etc. He arrives there. He faces the dragon and gets his ass kicked.

Grindcore: he arrives screaming like a lunatic. The dragon is stunned, without understanding what the hell is going on. He gets the princess, slaps her.
