It's been almost a year since my last journal update. Fantastical.

I have returned to the inspiring vista that is Greeley (<--sarcasm), and I am super stoked to be back in school at UNC (<--seriously).

This time I'm doing it right and going with a major that I actually like. Weird. So, I'm studying English this time around. The ready and writey kind, not the teachy kind. I sort of already earned an Asian Studies minor, so they just sort of gave that to me without asking. Not that I mind. So if all goes according to plan *snort*, in another year and a half I will end up with an English major, Chinese minor, AS minor, and Writing minor. What a novel idea. (ohmygoditwasapunlol) Feel your IQ draining yet?

I've actually been posting (gasp) artwork here (doublegasp). Again, how novel.
I'm hoping to work a lot more with my markers. I love them and I would like to unleash their awesome power on the unsuspecting public...wait...I may be confusing my art plans with my world domination thesis statement. It can get very confusing when I have to write so many essays. And then they never write me back. (ohno! south park reference!)

I've been trying to update some more with my work. I always want to draw but I rarely make the time to. I will try improving my skills with my markers as well.

Work is getting busy since my promotion to Groomer. I went through a month of training, driving 23 miles everday to the store I was training at. But I had a lot of fun and learned what time would allow. Now it's back to my old salon and starting my 100 dog portfolio. When I finish that I will submit it to some lady who decides whether or not I can become certified. When I do, my pay goes up and I start making commission!!! THAT will be so cool! Then I will be able to afford an xbox 360! WAIT FOR ME FABLE 2!!!

Also, I GOT A KITTY!! His name is Tobias, he's a one year old all black domestic short hair and he rocks my world.

I have over ten things in my sketchbook I want to submit, from disney stuff to Riddick, but my scanner availability in China remains scarce. I may have some routes to exploit, so hopefully I can transfer paper to pixels soon!

I have tentative plans to come back to the USA before the Olympics, we'll see how it goes.

How is it? A bit cold at the moment, but not much to complain about. I am in Xi'an, the former capital of more than a few dynasties and now a tourist hot spot. The prices are right and the air will kill me. You win some you lose some. They sell puppies out of cases on the street and give the word "molest" a whole new meaning on buses. And I'm actually almost used to children peeing on the streets...almost.

Anyhow, I brought two sketchbooks, lots of different graphite pencils, and all 15 of my precious ultra-fine point color sharpies. Unfortunately, I have no scanner here and I dunno if I'll buy one...that all depends on how long I'll be here. As it stands I will either be back sometime this upcoming spring, the end of next summer, or not for years. Trust me, it's more confusing on this end.
That said I've been doing some arts stuffs over here and recently decided I could take pictures of them and post those images...so I did. Mostly just shoddy stuff done real quick like. Some from this summer when I was in Boulder.

If there's still life out there amongst my friends and watchers, let me know!

I realize that since summer has started, I haven't gone to bed before I hear birds. F***ing birds. Yet I still only sleep eight hours??? dammit...
I realize that I'm even more mellow. Things didn't bother me much before and I spoke my mind....it has now increased. O_O;
I've been writing again lately, it makes me happy. I'll get that stuff for you shorty.

My mom wanted a second opinion from the surgeon's who predicted it would take a few months to recover, so she calls my uncle Bruce who is one of the top internal medicine guys in the country. He says to absulutely not get the surgery because, first, it's not necesary because I probably won't have trouble again, and second, because actual recovery time isn't 2 months, it's more like 9.

So, thanks to my uncle, I'm back in karate and looking forward to a nice snowboarding season. I am one of the luckiest peoplz I know. Hazaa!

now they tell me, depending upon the size that they have to remove, I'll have a minimum of a month recovery time and then I'll still have to be careful after that. MINIMUM. Depending on what they hack out of me.
Now, I know things happen for a reason and the world knows what it's doing but, unless the goal of this is to lower my grades and slack my skills, I'm not seeing a justified point to this.

So I walk in to my house today right? After my training session with my personal trainer and my mom's all "hey come upstairs for a second" and i'm all grumbly and stuff because I can hardly walk normally let alone go up the damn stairs after Marybeth has her way with me. But....I walk up to the office and I swear I almost fell back down the stairs. There's no longer the crappy POS computer that's 10yrs old...there's this like...science fiction black and silver with blue lights compy. I bought shat myself. Then, of course, she didn't let me touch it for like....a few hours! But we even got this mega crazy printer/copier/fax/...are you ready??? SCANNER!!!! YAY! SHE WRITES AGAIN! AND NOT A MONTH LATER!

Alright Xciting stuff people brace yourselves. I have my semi-anual karate tournament coming up the 24th of this month and I'm gonna own baybee!! (*hopes hopes hopes hopes*) Well I'll keep my fingers crossed at least. Send me good vibes or something.

So like, my comp is running sort of, but it still has no internet and i'm still stuck on the stupid school censored compyz, oh joy. I'm working on my comp though so in a week or so depending on my free time I should be up and running, it's just tedious stuff like clearing out the memory and rebooting a 10yrold comp. At least it's not a mac.

I finally got to sharpen up a little on archery yesterday with mi amiga :: I was happy tho I lost one of her arrows...oops. -_-;
