Its time once again for me to update my journal[for the sole reason of trying out a journal skin, teehee]

Summer's going well, its having its ups and down and diagonals but in the end nothing catastrophic has happened.

In art news, I haven't really done much of anything. Reason being is I'm tried of using pencils and such (this is temporary for sure) and I want to paint. Unfortunately I have no canvases or canvas paper to do said painting. sdlfdkj

But alas, I may get lucky. My dad won $200 from the casino and gave me $50 so I can probably has canvas soon <3.

Even better, today I'm going out to paint a tree on the wall of a lady's house. Along with another small project, she's gonna pay me quite a bit for it. Mega excited for she is super nice !

All goes well here at the command center (coughcoughjustanothernameformyroomcoughxough). Got a portfolio picture done, I can still see the floor of my room, and I've been keeping up with my new organized life. Jolly good jolly good~

The worst part of it all: I have glitter in my scalp and its not coming out >_>; I guess I'll be seeing it in my hair until I'm 90, roffle. Darn that Michaels.

Overall, I can say this year has been a big learning experience for me. I wish I learned stuff a little quicker, but at least I know now. With all I've gained, I hope to go into the new year more motivated, better organized and a better friend to all I know.

Also... I hope I learn how to save money better >_> Me and my spendful ways...

Kansha by RSP is my current drug. Initially I picked it up because it was one of the end songs from bleach that I liked. So I had it around for a good half a year or more and even though I could barely understand the song, I like the message I felt it was giving. Just saying thank you to all of those around you. So recently, I got over my need to procrastinate and looked up the lyrics. It made me fall in love with the song all over again. Its very heart warming.

So I got a new laptop today~ HP- 4gb of RAM- 350GB of space. yayayay. Hoping this one will last longer than my acer. Got a insurance plan for it just in case it doesn't. Funny thing about it: Its freakin huge. Like... xbox huge. Its creepy but I like it

Winter break has been awesome, one reason is being without photoshop. I love photoshop and all but that's all I've been doing art in as of late. So without it, I've done two sculptures (yeah, they're christmas presents but I still did them) and painted them with acrylic and I plan to do at least one more sculpture and then some drawings in random mediums. You never know how much you miss traditional medium until you haven't touched them in months.

I'm praying I packed my camera so I can post the sculptures and other random stuff I plan to do. >_>

I tried out a new way to use layers in photoshop. Instead of separating parts of the piece layer by layer, you do all of the stuff in one. As in, you work on the whole piece in one layer, when you feel satisfied with what you have but want more detail and fear losing what you have, use another layer.

It works for me because it feels more traditional to me. Feels like I'm painting in layers. Tis nice <3 And kinda helps me get stuff done without too much brain ache ;. When I use layers for separate parts, it was tiring to try and remember what layer has what on it, whats next to what, what will affect what, etc etc. Just more brain ache when I'm already picking at it. lawl.

Work will always be a love/hate relationship (more love than hate most of the time). But after some calculations, its gonna be an uber love relationship, mostly because of the money factor. I found out that if I continue along my saving plan, I'll be able to aquire a wii before school starts ! So I can sit at home and play smash bros and other miscellaneous games until my brain melts !

And also thanks to my job and their need to crap coupons every week, I was able to buy a 48 set of prismacolor markers. They smell like hell but hawt damn do they produce some nice colors . If It wasn't for that 50$ off coupon, I would've had to pay $200 for them >.>. Although they would've been worth it, I just don't have that type of money. $200= 85% of a paycheck so yeah~

Another item in my acquiring spree is my bonsai tree. I've had it for a while now and it seems to be doing pretty good. Unfortunately I have to keep it in a separate room because I have nowhere to put it in my room. D: Emo cakes. But all will be better because I think my dad found a dresser in someone's trash :3.

Summer's been going by nicely, I'm gonna miss it when its over but I think I'll be ready to go back to school. I MISS YOU OH GREAT CHICKEN

Today's my last full day in Florida. I'll be back home tomorrow afternoon~

All in all, it was a nice chillax week. Wasn't anything uber spectacular. Me and my parents chilled at the beach, went out to eat a few times and went meandering around the area with our rent-a-car. Fun fun x3

Twas a wonderful break from work and I think I'm actually itching to go back (wtf man xD).

When get back, I have a load of doodles to upload. Because of my obessesion, they're all Ouendan related except for... two? Sad existence I live. xD

I have officially started my saving towards a Wii. Yaay~

I was thinking of attempting comissions or something to help me get my wii quicker (because I'm so impatient >_>. I dunno. I'll find something or other. If not I'll just continue working my job and saving~

Even though I do miss my friendsies at home, I'm not fully homesick yet. Probably because I'm going home for labor day, so yeah XD.

Its really awesome here. Even on the first two days there was stuff to do for everyone (the first night there was a party... rofl ). Last night me, my roommate and some friends I met through the orientation thingy sat up and watched Grease on the lawn on a big screen they had set up (I gotta find her again because we're gonna watch Superbad. Thank god she lives practically right below me ; ).

One thing about the daytime here is that its peaceful and all, sure, but if you don't have anything to do before I class or something you feel like "....WHAT DO I DO NOW??". That'll probably be solved when classes start. So ja, great time already. I just wish I didn't have to take a walk to use the internet. Oh well ;
