"I just wanted to write this post to let everyone in the CG community know that we've lost one of the greats today. Glen Angus, known as gangus on CGTalk, died today from apparent complications due to an aneurysm. I worked with Glen for many years at Raven Software, and he was a great friend to me and just about anyone who knew him. I know Glen was a very active and popular artist on these forums, so I thought it would be the right thing to do to let you all know as soon as possible. Please join me in wishing the best for his wife and two children during this time of loss. Rest in peace Glen, you were the best.

Although I doubt he will ever be forgotten by the art community. His artwork alone inspire as does his attitude, especially with his determination to help his son, his openness to fans, and how he helped the art community.

I hate the school cycle, I get home around 5:30 or 6,sleep at 9,wake up at five. Anyway,after this week, (which is the hell week of 3 long tests, 1 reporting,2 group projects...) I will try to post something. My new sketchbook is now my planner,where deformed heads that somehow seem to depict my mood are squished in with my homework. I could draw in class more,although I sit in the front,and right next to the teacher.

Anyway, enough of the rant...

This year I had changed my club since my former club is now out of the schools choices. I auditioned for art club,and did a pretty cool drawing,that was based off of a poem that the club core members had chosen. The poem seemed to be about suicide,so I drew a wierd thing with blade fingers and stuff in about an hour. (Of course finding out 3 days later from my really good friend from the club core, that the poem was about God. I then remember all other kids auditioned sitting around,who asks me for some advice as to how to approach their drawing and me explaining to them thoroughly how the lines depict suicide. They then follow my advice an draw a depressing suicidal or violent image...when the poems true meaning was about God . Oops. But then again, it wasnt the interpretation that got me into the club,but the artwork. In the end, I didnt join art club after all. I decided to join the prestigious Curtain Call (Theater Club) as a production person. My other friend who is part of the club core says theyll probably stick me in ARt Department. Whee... That concludes my silly little,emotional, and useless teenage rant/blog. Its nice to see the mocha colored background of the forums. Bless concept art. Its the reason why I still have my sanity. School starts June 14th for me.

Classes are either hell or boring but, then again, Summer is starting to get lonely and depressing.

Going back to school has Yays and Nays. Im gonna make a list because if I dont busy myself with something right now I might screw up another page of drawings, and/or I might get addicted to askaninja.com.

Artwise...

My mom got me this sketchbook thats like 3 dollars and kinda sucks. (Damn WalMart) Although I'd feel bad if I didnt use it, so I use pen on it. Its now my Ink Book,because pencil sucks on it. Even with my sexy graphite sticks. So I'm gonna use pen so I dont have to worry about stinky fixative and brain cells being zapped or something like that from the fumes.

Oh yeah, I got sexy keeper(goalie) gloves as an early b-day present. Im going to draw them one day...My Birthday is on July 31. Greet me a very happy Harry Potter birthday. Hah, I share the same birthday as he does. My sexy card tricks own his Expecto Patronum arse. Actually it doesnt. He'd totally kick my arse.

Ever since Steph used the phrase "sexy contrast" when she was giving me some advice on Dawn on a Funeral Day , its been stuck in my head. So now, for some reason, sexy is in my main vocabulary. Hence why I said sexy graphite sticks, sexy keeper gloves...there are a lot of sexy things in the world.

Im gonna shut up now because I just got this idea for drawing and yeah...

Im sore yet again from soccer. No surprise there.

My hand is all grey and metallic from the graphite on the paper which my hand accidentally smudged.

Its all good. I went to the mall yesterday and played magic the gathering,again.Its awesome! I love it! I havent played in forever, and now Im going to start up again. Ive made 3 decks so far. Red/Blue, White/Green, and a Black/White Cleric deck. My raging army of angel teddy bears cant protect me.

Ill do all of that after I go to sleep. Im terribly tired. I was up late last night/morning, til' around 1 am. I had a wonderfully long chat with me mummy. (No. I am not being sarcastic.)We finally stopped when she was forcing me to go to bed. I woke up 5 and a half hours later for football/soccer practice. It was great. It was fun. I felt as light as a feather. Well, not really. I come home from the after practice lunch at the mall, with redish purple spots on my right thigh from blood vessels that popped underneath my skin due to the ball hitting my thigh a lot. I love this sport. (No. That wasnt a sarcastic remark either.)

Ill post this entry I'm working on when I finish it. Ive had loads of fun with it. Its going to be sort of a three toned thing. Imna use ink for the shadows, just one layer of paint for mid tones, and white charcoal or gouache (havent decided yet) for highlights.

Actually, I'll post after I take a shower, work on my entry, make myself a baked potato, and eaten it.

Im such a lazy person... Someone hit me over the head now.

Anyway, theres gonna be a comic workshop at Greenbelt. Powerbooks. April 20th, 4-7 pm. A second one at Powerbooks MegaMall, 4-7 pm. They have a writing workshop as well. May 11, Powerbooks Greenbelt, 4-7 pm. Powerbooks Megamall , May 19, 4-7 pm.

Hopefully Ill be able to make both of them at Greenbelt.

Anyway, its the fourth quarter of the school year(busy busy busy) and I wont be able to finish up any designs. As of now all the designs I'm going to put up are still sketches done pencil or my 20 peso pilot ball pen, and I wont be able to put up anything til' after exams during summer. Which isn't too far away. (two weeks) Until then, I'll have to be focusing on my school work and studying for those crappy exams. So,til then, dont expect any updates. I sort of procrastinated on posting stuff up last time I was on DA. Sorry guys .
