- Arrived at the hotel, and HO SHI-! THERES PEOPLE THAT PARK YOUR CAR AND TAKE YOUR BAGS UP TO THE ROOM FOR YOU. Yeah and the room was pretty nice too

- MAIN THING YOU NEED TO READ
Super Smash Bros Brawl Doubles Tournament! Now i have to explain what happened for literally the 5 or 6th time...I'll try to make it short

_{We arrive at the gaming room, and i find that i have no partner for the tourney. The guy at registration offers to be my partner. I ask if he's good, he says, "I won the singles tournament last year". We then find out it costs $5 to register, so i decide i wanna discuss this with Lauren and Jade before entering.

Later when i go back in to say i wanna be his partner, i find that he's already found another person. Saaaadnesssss. 3 other guys ask if i want to be their partner, but to be polite, i had to go with the first guy that asked (even though i knew he wasnt as good, from watching the others play during free play)

In the first round, my partner died out really quickly leaving me with one life, the other team's Lucario with two lives, and the Zelda with one. I did a pretty good job taking out Zelda and getting Lucario to a high percent on his last life. Lots of people were cheering me on in the room, maybe because i was cosplaying Wolf while also using him, or hopefully because they were impressed. We lost that round in the end.

Thankfully, the tourney was double elimination...............right? No. Some guy put me and my partner put us in the losers bracket straight off the bat, because....well, i dont know why. Because they ran out of room? Because they just wanted to? Who knows. That basically counted as a loss. Plus our actual loss, making us out of the tourney right away with no second chance.

Funny thing too
- I later on recognize the VERY first guy that offered to be my partner as the guy that beat me last year.
- He actually ends up winning this too, with his partner ALSO using Wolf.
- I see them walking around with prize money. A huge stack of $5 bills.
- At least he was a nice person
- FML}

- Goes an hour before SSBB singles tourney. Find that ALL 64 spots in the tourney are already filled up. No singles tourney for me i suppose...FML x 2

- Cosplay contest. It was...eh...Note/MSN/email me if you need youtube links.

...........the highlight of the expo you may ask? I won 1st for the Super Smash Bros Brawl tourney!
I suppose i won't go into much detail, but i can say that maybe everyone except 2 or 3 other people pretty much sucked. I mean, a lot of them didn't even use/didn't even know how to use their shields and dodges >.>

Bah well anyways, the other finalist....honestly didnt deserve to be there. He was a Lucario, and kept spamming the B move against everyone. I think everyone got pretty annoyed at him. I pwned him by reflecting one right back at his face tho

As the prize, i got a signed t-shirt from the Pure Pwnage store, this No Noobs liscense plate thing, a Red Bull plaque O.o, and a free membership for a year to this computer gaming center. $70 worth about of stuff. Oh and i got to shake Jeremy's (from Pure Pwnage) hand 8D
(kinda wish i wasn't as happy/nervous/excited/thankful so that i coulda gotten a picture with the Pure Pwnage crew, and at least have a normal conversation with them O.o)

There was another tourney at 3:00 (mine was at 1:30), but i went to the watch the 404s instead. They probably wouldnt have let me join again though XP}after coming home and watching some Pure pwnage vids.....i think i now idolize Jeremy >.<

Oh noes! I've done a bad thing!

Awhile ago, i started reading Kuroshitsuji to see what everyones been talking about lately. Ish pretty kewlz. Its like a big mix of horror, comedy, drama, and a crap load of other stuff all in one XP.

I've caught up for the manga already, but not the anime, but i know that the anime doesn't exactly follow the same storyline. It like.....has all the same events except the current arc in the manga, mixed with a whole lotta filler episodes.

On some forum, some person was talking about how they found ToS: DotNW for clearance at The Source (you know, that electronics store) for $25. So being the curious person i am, i checked out the canadian The Source site, and saw that there was only 1 copy left in 4 different stores in the city (except it was $30 canadian money)! Then i was happy. =]

And then i bought it. When my family was passing by one on the way to some chinese restaurant. Thus making me finally a proud owner of ToS2. Buying it for half the price it should TRULY be worth. And then i went home and beat the final boss again. The end

[Sasuke Sword Tutorial?]

I've had a few people in the past ask me about how exactly i made my Kusanagi sword, so i've kinda been thinking of making a tutorial, but iunno if i should.

You see, i didnt take any photos while i was making it, so that would mean i'd have to draw out a bunch of pictures (its too hard just to explain it in words). I suppose thats not too bad, but it seems as though a lot of people have been losing interest in the Naruto series, and not too many people would really care whether i made a tutorial or not. And most people that do care probably wont comment and thank me at all, or even a simple fave

But i guess i probably will, just for the few desparate people out there...

FOR SURE somewhere in the top 3 games I've ever played. I haven't even played the first game in this series, and i heard it's waaaay better if you do. Ignore all those crappy reviews people have made from playing like 1 hour into the game, and go out and play it. Right now.

A lot of hilarious moments in cut scenes and these things called skits. A bunch of returning characters from the previous game, and they still play a huge part. The battle system is great, much better than ones, say, like in Final Fantasy. The monsters are all so likeable and awesome.

But the thing that really got me was the plot/storyline/history thing. Its just sooo....in-depth and so fucking heart-breaking, especially after learning about pre-game events. Even though im just a bit more than halfway through the game, I went and spoiled the ending for myself by looking at some Youtube vids, and what i found just kind of stabbed me in the heart =\. especially what i learned about my favorite character, Richter Abend. *Sigh*...

...Not to mention the very obviousness of yaoi XP Richter/Emil of course (and past Richter/Aster). It only just so obvious EVERYTIME THEY SEE EACH OTHER D=< All the blushing, stuttering, hidden meaning in words. And particularly random skits and during Richter side-quests. Theres so much i can't even explain it all XP

Old news, blah blah, yes yes. But I really can't wait till it gets subbed...it looks so awesome =< Not to mention how some of the trailers literally had "Naruto x Sasuke" written in big huge letters. It makes me even more suspicious as to whether or not Kishimoto secretly supports the pairing (even though it was put there just to mean they'll be in the movie working together, and not the OTHER thing...)

Hah actually, I'm still gonna rant about some Animethon things in this journal. Its not my fault though D: It was only my second anime convention, and I can't help but still feel the aftereffects of them after...2 months.

---I just remembered!---

During the 3 hour drive to Edmonton from Calgary, we were watching cars passing by us, to see if they'd notice us, and how strange looking we were in our costumes. Yeah so we had a few "normal" people stare at us, and we just waved back.

BUT SUDDENLY =O

There was this one car where a guy noticed us, and started to tell the other 4 people in their car something. We kept watching them, and all of a sudden, one of them waves a Naruto Konoha headband at us O.O

There was a moment of silence where we were all O.o wtf!? Lol then we all just started laughing, and I held up my Kusanagi. And we all made silent gestures to the other car to show how coincidentally funny it was to find them.

Moral of the story: No matter how much you say and rant about how you hate Naruto (the anime), you KNOW that it's the universal symbol for anime >.> You can't defy your knowledge >(

Gawd dammit. You know how I made my Kusanagi sword out of wood and aluminum (it was dull though)? YeahÂwell, security found me with it within the first 5 minutes of entering the building, and then I was taken to the security office where I had to write my info on some paperz . I was hoping I could get a few pictures with it before it got confiscated, but srsly. There were security peeps lurking around EVERY cornerÂ Not even SasukeÂs ninja skillz were effective against them.

Hm. And then the security guy dropped my sword when he was returning it to meÂ

Thankfully, me and my two friends visited the video games room on Friday, even though the schedule didnÂt state it was open. There was a team tourney going on, and they decided to be partners, leaving me out. Boo hoo T.T So then this guy volunteered to be my partner, but he replaced himself with another guy after (I think he had to leave?) My friends were Team PokeMarth and we were Team FireÂYes, in fact I WAS feeling quite creative that day
My partner turned out to be a Link user (I use Wolf), and we won our first round (yay?). But then came the 2nd roundÂ twas ghey. It was at the stage Hanenbow, and my partner and I suicided at least 2 or 3 times eachÂGawd I hate that stageÂ
So obviously, we lost that round =[

Saturday Â
Hum. The solo tourney just HAPPENED to be start during the cosplay contest. My friends felt that the cosplay contest was more important, so they left me and the tourney for it. But they came back by the time it was my 2nd match
But then, I lost in the quarter finals (?) to a DK user . I coulda won that match too, if it wasnÂt for the fact that he brought his own controller, and mine was a shitty one from the games room. I could barely even do smash attacks >=\ Honestly. My opponent wasnÂt exactly too decentÂ

=0 Not bad. Sucks how both finalists used big, fat, and slow characters. Natural prey for Wolf =[. Easy to combo, large area to hit, can stay out of range of their attacks, can out-speed their attacks any dayÂk IÂll stop.

My friends got a few comments from the gamers both days cause they cosplayed Marth and Pokemon Trainer on Friday and Sturday lol. I was gonna make a Wolf one, but I didnÂt finish in time so I had to stick with my Sasuke for all 3 dayz. Awwz =[

Sigh...but a few days ago, I found out that A-thon doesn't allow props that are made of wood or metal. Damn. Thats what my sword is made out of =[. So I'm gonna try my best to keep it hidden from those staff members, and get as many pictures taken of it before its confiscated. IF it gets confiscated. (Heh hopefully my ninja skills kick in at a-thon)

Heh. I like my Kusanagi sword. It's custom made. By me (with help from my dad XD). 34 1/2" shaft made with poplar, with an aluminum blade (which isn't sharp, for obvious reasons.) I took some pictures, and i WOULD post them, but my camera isn't letting me transfer them onto my comp...

DONT GET ME WRONG! Sasuke's still my favorite character, and he DOES look pretty pwnsome in his cloak, but its just really funny. After all the suffering Itachi went through to save Konoha, Sasuke's just gonna glow blow it up in the end anyways

Animethon, the anime convention in Edmonton, Alberta, is slowly approaching. Oh noes =O .

For those of you that care, (or actually, for Mel, the one person that actually might read this journal) I'm gonna be cosplaying the current Sasuke in the manga....without the akatsuki cloak =\ (OH SHI- *facepalm* not ANOTHER Naruto cosplayer > ) I'm only done like...iunno...15-20% of the cosplay, and I have less thana month to finish. Thats not good.

I have good, valid reasons for cosplaying him

The new DA version is OKAY. The message centre is nice, but it'll take some getting used to. I like how you can customize the bar at the top. And I havent looked at the new browsing system...if it was even updated.
But my only complaint is that its a bit laggy and slow loading. Sometimes the page doesnt even load and i have to refresh. Not a big problem though

Went to Otafest (an anime convention in Calgary) yesterday (Friday) and today (lol Saturday). Heh had a bunch of fun with Lauren and Jade (my friends O.o). Entered the Smash Bros and Mario Kart tournies, but i SWEAR they were rigged for meh D=. I had TERRIBLE stages for both my games, causing me to lose, when i PROBABLY normally would have won =/ But I Got 2nd by 2 points in my Brawl game anyways D= D= D=!
(Lol us 3 were the only girls that entered the tourney out of the...iunno...i think 30 some people)

And then Melissa (another friend) lied to me >. She said she wasnt going this year, but then ended up going with another friend (and i didnt even see u mels). I r angry...ok no. jk ^^ You wouldnt have been able to contact me even if you wanted. I was at Laurens house for a sleepover
