My parents were eating this dish with boiled shrimp in it after I'd warned them not to. A little while later they were nauseated, and I was laughing my ass off at them, yelling "I told you so!" As soon as the words left my mouth, I took a giant swig from a glass of milk, only to find that it was sour and curdled. I hauled ass into the kitchen and started gaging in the sink. It was all slimy and stuck in my throat, and I couldn't breathe. When I woke up I was pushing drool out the side of my mouth with my tongue. It was all over my cheek and pillow. Thank god I sleep alone.

Also, while I'm on the subject of hypocrisy: I often sneer and have contempt for those who persistently seek out companionship, hopping from one relationship to the next, unable to function without a significant other. I've been a loner my whole life. I hate the whole singles scene. Clubbing gives me migraines. The opposite sex? A disappointment thus far. Needless to say, I live a pretty solitary life, and I've always been ok with that. I'm not anymore. I woke up today and decided I'm just as needy, lonely, and fucked up as the next person (moreso). Then there's the sharp realization that a lifetime of being a loner has made me socially retarded and unable to meet anyone new. Now there's a happy thought. My very own self-created drama. Someone somewhere is saying I told you so.

Shit, I really thought I'd made it through Valentine's Day unaffected. The crafty bitch caught me 3 days later. And now I've rambled far more than I intended like a perfect fool. Eh, don't bother commenting on this one. It would probably just be awkward.

My worst concert experience? Seeing Bush back in '96..'97? I had a horrific experience on the floor and got my long hair stuck in a dipshit crowd-surfer's boot. The lesson being? Don't wear your hair down if you're on the floor. That, and don't see Bush in concert, because it's an embarrassing admission, and you'll feel shame in your latter years.

My poor dad is in the hospital again. As if he hasn't suffered enough lately, he caught the stomach virus from hell, and the vomiting made his blood pressure shoot up to dangerously high levels. He was in the ICU for a few days and is now on the mend, thank god.

I feel like I could sleep for weeks.... I have trouble functioning these days (as if I were ever functioning on a normal level to begin with). I'm miserable... and yet I'm not seeking pity and don't want words of encouragement. I just want this madness to stop. I don't want my next post on here to be about the next horrible event that's yet to unfold in my life. I'm tired of talking about it, and I'm far more tired of living through it. And no, I'm not talking or thinking about suicide. God doesn't want me on his hands, believe me.

Anyways, I miss you guys lots. Hope y'all are doing well.

I know that one needs a functioning keyboard to make Windows work, but even after switching keyboards, Windows still wouldn't load. I haven't the vaguest idea of what the hell else went on that night, but I'll tell you what happened to fix the problem: a reformat of drive C. I have a nasty habit of saving my pics in the My Pictures folder in C. I'm lazy and everything just wants to be saved there... so yeah. I lost a bunch of artwork, including something I had been painting for months which was a dedication to someone here on dA. This pisses me off. I also lost all of my favorites in Internet Explorer and my e-mail addresses. This pisses me off. Reinstalling Windows on a machine that has a motherboard that's not compatible with it is akin to having root canal. This? Pisses. Me. Off. If I ever disappear from the net entirely, it'll probably be because I committed homicide. How many years would I get for murder in the first degree?... Probably less than if I'd robbed a bank. Gotta love the legal system here.

Oh, and the first thing I see when I sign on to dA? Two notes which turned out to be spam. Brilliant. Is there nowhere I can escape you fucking heathens?

I enjoy messing around on the computer with art and surfing the net and such, and it really blows that I can't do those things anymore. I used to be one of those people who really utilized my time while on the net, got around to lots of sites, and did lots of things, but lately I'm spending almost all of what little time I have here on dA playing catch up. Which... sucks. It downright pisses me off that I can't make art when I want to because of my screwed up eyes. And I'm so sick of bitching about my eye dramas. It seems like I mention it everytime I post a journal, and I fucking hate being one of those people that constantly harps on the same situation. I'm sorry that I take it out on all you poor internet folk, because I swear I hardly ever mention it in my real life. But being that it affects my art in a major way, I can't help but bring it up a lot here.

Also, my best friend just moved back in town, and I can't decide whether that's a good thing or a bad thing. How fucked up is that? I'm pretty sure this makes me the most anti-social human being on the planet.

Sweet bloody hell! Tell me if this happens to anyone else: You type out a huge paragraph in dA, and then suddenly you accidentally hit a combination of buttons -- and for god's sake don't ask me what said combination is -- and the fucking browser goes back a page making you lose EVERYTHING YOU JUST TYPED! I cannot be the only one. I swear, this shit happens daily to me. And I always know seconds before it's about to happen because I hear this dreadful click, and then I hopelessly watch in horror as the page disappears. This just happened to me, by the way. Twice.

I'm extremely frustrated with the small amount of time I'm able to devote to the things I love because of my screwed up eyes. Everytime I get in the flow with a drawing, I have to stop short because my eyes get strained. I tried to do a little painting on the PC the other day and suffered the consequences of that action with a popped blood vessel. The lack of productivity is agonizing.

P.S. Uggh... don't tell anyone you caught me listening to Fall Out Boy, okay?

I saw Spider-Man 3 today and was... torn. I enjoyed it overall, but there are moments that are completely unnecessary and cringe-worthy. Also, I'm not one to bitch about long films (I actually like them), but this one could have used some serious editing. Certain scenes drag out for far too long, and others should have been cut entirely. It's not a bad film, but it certainly isn't better than part two, which is sad. Sadder still, is that I came home and X3 was on TV. I couldn't even make it through the first thirty minutes because every little thing was pissing me off.

I finally beat my rabbit Pullo at his own game tonight! That little shit has been knocking over his food every day for about a week now. He started by flipping it completely over. So, I pinned it to his cage thinking that would take care of that. Wrong. He next started to dig into it with his feet until he shoveled everything out. These little hissy-fits got old very quick, let me assure you. So, as a last resort, I grabbed a deep heavy dish with a handle on it and tied that son of a bitch to the cage and watched. He tried to pull it loose with his teeth, to no avail. Then he started in with the feet, but the dish was too high for him to get anywhere with that behavior. Finally, in frustration and anger, he started to eat. Pullo, consider yourself PWNED! You may have won a few battles, you little butt-head, but I win the war!

Also: If you were ever a fan of "The Karate Kid," you absolutely owe it to yourself, and to Johnny Lawrence, to watch this music video: [link] I must have watched it 20 times already, and it still cracks my shit up.

Is dA acting abnormally slow for anyone else lately? I'm trying to figure out if it's the site, or the new Internet Explorer I upgraded to. This is the slowest loading site by far for me as of late. That said, I signed on today with the intention of taking a large chunk out of my devwatch list, but I'm getting nowhere fast. I still have close to 200 deviations to look through, so bare with me if you know I watch you but haven't commented lately.

And my god, you guys have no idea how bored out of my fucking mind I've been for the past week and a half. I couldn't really watch TV, couldn't get on the PC, couldn't read, couldn't draw, and couldn't be in bright lights. So I basically sat in a dark room, listened to A LOT of music and played my guitar off and on. It was pretty pathetic. And I know I'm ridiculously behind on my devwatch. You guys will have to be patient with me; it's gonna take a good long while for me to play catch up.

This is actually kind of funny, and the doctor will probably freak when I go see him Monday, but I think the vision in my bum eye is now better than the good eye. LOL! The scar that he thought would permanently cause some blurriness has all but disappeared over the past few days, and my sight is damned near perfect in that eye now. It's actually sharper than the right eye. Amazing. More than I ever dared hope for really. Thanks for all of your well wishes, you guys. Much appreciated as always! And it's good to be back. Now I have to go try to take a chunk out of that devwatch.

My nephew's Miniature Dachshund named Sweet Lou had to be put to sleep today. He just suddenly started having violent seizures, the poor thing. He was a temperamental bastard and is the only dog to this day that has ever attacked me. Little shit tried to bite off my nose. But still, I didn't wish ill on the little bugger. R.I.P Sweet Lou.

I somehow pulled a muscle in my back the other day doing absolutely nothing. I just stood up and it was like someone twisted a knife into the right side of my back. How embarrassing, right? I should have made something up... Uh, I was doing my usual routine when I broke into a roundoff-flip flop-double layout and then suddenly --WHAM! Well, these things happen, you know. Can't do any situps or pushups or anything of the sort. Can't turn in bed without a spasm either. I feel for those of you with chronic back pain.

And another thing before I go off: Thanks to everyone for your kind words while I was stressing about my bunny's health. He's doing better today. I really appreciate it, you guys. I was very torn up this time about his illness.

Stupid Greedy Fucks Part 1: Give and ye shall receive?
In the past, my family has helped many friends when they were in need; whether it be financially, putting a roof over their head, giving them things they need, etc. Well, these past couple of months have been pretty rough for my family financially. Very recently my parents asked three separate people to loan them some money so we wouldn't loose our car. Two of these people were friends who we have loaned large sums of cash to in the past and have both recently gotten a large amount of money themselves. So they could have easily spared a little to help, but of course they had bullshit excuses as to why they couldn't. Incidentally, they're both named Eric.

Eric R. claimed that he had already spent his entire lump sum, which is fucking astounding considering the amount. Well done, Eric R! You should write a book on how to handle finances! Don't worry about all those times your folks kicked you out on your ass for being a junkie, and you sponged off of us like a parasite whilst living in our home. Don't worry about all that cash my brother loaned you that time you were about to get kicked out of your apartment either.

Eric M. claimed he was saving for a new dryer. He got nearly 5 grand no less than two weeks ago, but he's saving for a new dryer, y'all! Imagine my shock, I had no idea they were so expensive! Hey, don't worry about the cash we loaned you when you too were about to get kicked out on your ass. And oh, how I love the irony that you need that money for a dyer, seeing as how you've been using ours for over a year now. Hats off to you, my so-called friend! A fucking dryer? That's all he could come up with? How terribly unimaginative. For someone who lies habitually on a daily basis, I would have expected something more creative.

I like my brother Michael's lie better: Michael, my very own flesh and blood, and the very reason our car is gone in the first place, claimed he had no money to spare but would help as soon as his income tax comes in. Okay, cool. That one is believable. But you know, the key to telling a good lie is remembering that you fucking told one, which apparently, Michael is incapable of. He let it slip a few days ago that he just spent 800 bucks fixing his truck. Fixing *his* truck with the money he didn't even have in the first place. That's fine and dandy if he really, really needed that truck to be fixed. But he has two fucking vehicles. We have NONE right now because of him. I won't even go into why our car is gone, because the story is too damned convoluted, but suffice it to say, it's his fault. So this is just an amazing display of fucking greed on his part. I always knew he was greedy, but I had no idea to what extent until now. Amazing. Thank you, Mike, for making me ashamed to be related to you for the first time in my life.

Stupid Greedy Fucks Part 2: My rabbit has more balls than you, and he only has one.
If you don't want to do something for someone, why not have the fucking balls to tell them that? Make up an excuse if you must, but don't say you'll do something one minute then flake out the next. It's just bad etiquette. Case in point: Eric M. Yes, Eric M., you have the honor of appearing twice in my rant! Today I desperately needed someone to give me a ride to the vet for my bunny. I asked him, for he does absolutely nothing other than loiter at our house all day 99% of the time, if he would oblige. "Yes, of course," he said "just give me a call when you're ready because I have to go do something at home first." And then he left my house. So I called the vet and found out that she's overbooked and couldn't see my bunny, but she prescribed him some medicine for me to pick up. I called Eric back -- no answer. If it seems I post less and less frequently it's because my eyes have been giving me a lot of trouble lately, and staring at a monitor doesn't help. I had to cancel my eye appointment this month and who knows when they'll reschedule. I could be fucking blind by the time I finally see a doctor. Just another reason to love my life at the moment.

And my poor rabbit, y'all wouldn't believe what happened to him. He's alive, which I couldn't be more grateful for, but for the love of god, could my baby stop suffering now? He's not even a year old and he's been to the vet 4 times in the past 3 months. This last trip he needed emergency surgery. Fucking hell.

Sorry for the depressing entry, but I don't feel like pretending everything's peachy keen.

In other news: Has anyone upgraded to that new Internet Explorer yet, and if so, are you having a lot of bug issues? My IE crashed like mad after I installed that upgrade. I've uninstalled since then and am relatively crash free (aside form the aforementioned crash).

I picked up my guitar for the first time in months the other day. I was surprised at how much I'd forgotten -- but at the same time -- at how natural it still felt. It felt awesome actually. My relationship with my guitar is a very private thing. I have no desire to play in front of or with others. I have no delusions of becoming a rockstar or anything. It just feels good to play. I come from a family full of musicians, and it's sort of expected that I be the next prodigy. I can't live up to those expectations, or rather, I don't want to. I could be quite good if I wanted to be; and that's not me bragging, it's just that it all comes quite naturally to me. And I freaking LOVE music. It's probably my biggest passion in life. So what's stopping me from really truly playing then? I swear sometimes it's like I have no drive or ambition for life at all.

I'm afraid to work on any of my art until I fix this harddrive. So no new art from me until then I'm afraid.

I took my bunny Pullo to the vet on Saturday after noticing he'd stopped eating the day before. The vet said he had Coccidia, which is basically a parasite that causes them to starve themselves (I take my bunny outside like, 3 times in his whole life, and he gets a disease.... figures). So he gave us some meds and I'm happy to report that Pooh is slowly starting to eat again, little by little. And if you ever want a good laugh, come watch me and my mother trying to administer this liquid medicine down the tiny bunny's throat. You'd think Pooh was 6'7" and weighed 300lbs. For a starving bunny, he's strong as an ox!

My harddrive still has one foot in the grave and will die completely at any given moment. The interesting thing about my harddrive's imminent death is that I believe Adobe is partly responsible. I open Photoshop CS2 a few days ago, and it tells me it wants to upgrade. So I click OK, it does it's thing and about 80% into it ---BAM! I get the Blue Screen of Death. I didn't even know Windows XP had a BSOD! Anyhow, so my PC shuts off and when I turn it back on again, I get this message: "Harddrive failure imminent. Back up files immediately!" Wonderful. I've seen this message before, not so long ago. It's not kidding around. Anyways, I hope my brother Mike can reformat the damned thing, or else we'll have to get a new one.

The hard drive is a bit screwed, but the monitor is 1024 x 768, as opposed to my old 800 x 600, so we switched it with our old one. So now, the screen isn't dark as hell anymore. But I'm slightly freaking out over here as I look at my old artworks. Is this what everyone else is seeing? Because, holy shit! Not cool! Uh... and the screen is slightly concave and makes things look a little weird. But I guess this is an upgrade? Argh, I'm so not good with change. I find new and impressive ways to bitch about things, even when they better my situation. I amaze myself. Well, here's another bitchy rant:

I had a violent fit of rage this morning when I woke up and found my Starbucks Frappuccino was gone. I stood there in front of the refrigerator and had the most insane urge to just grab 3 or 4 cans of soda, run into my brother's room, and hurl them at his sleeping head like Mariano Rivera. I usually don't get so mad that I want to inflict pain on someone else, but this morning was just not the time to fuck with me. Maybe I'm hormonal or something... I don't know. Then, when I stopped myself from acting on this impulse, I went into my room and thought up other interesting ways to beat him senseless. This went on for close to 20 minutes or so. I'm glad he was asleep, because I swear I would have hit the bastard and had an all-out war. Ridiculous. I feel like an idiot for getting so upset over fracking coffee, but I'm fucking tired of my asshole brother taking, and taking, and taking... The lack of consideration is what kills me. He has absolutely no thought for anyone other than himself. He plays loud, blaring music in the middle of the night while others are asleep; He takes things without asking; He criticizes gifts! What particular brand of asshole do you have to be to criticize a gift that someone has given you, to their face? The arrogance astounds me. God, let me just shut up now. I'm getting pissed all over again.

My parent's anniversary is tomorrow, and because of my brother and father bogarting the computer the past couple of days, I have exactly one night to make something for them. No pressure or anything...
