College is going better, I've got some friends so it doesn't suck as bad xD I'm planning on going back to Taiwan next year, which means I have to keep my grades up and such... Blah.

My cat had kittens the first Friday of college, so since I was coming home for the weekend I got to see them newly born xD Now they're 5 weeks old and running around and adorable. They're really good with people, too. They're gunna be great cats when they grow up.

We're cleanin' up the storage rooms at my house so that when my friend and her family moves in, me and her get the attic (it's HUGE. It's actually not an 'attic'.. it's on the second floor, but we've always called it the attic). We're going to turn the back half into our bedroom and the front half into our group o' friend's hangout space. But that requires repacking everything, tearing up carpet, flooring, wiring, etc. But this is one project that is actually going to get DONE.

Also, there's a problem with my hot water tank that drains the well and keeps it drained if it's turned on. So I have to go down into the gross yucky basement to turn on the water when I want a shower. Then go back down to turn it off so I can have water to wash dishes, clothes, cook...

Aaand then I had to evacuate my house because my mom had a stalker that was threatening her, and even though she's out of the country, /he/ knew she had a daughter here. So. That was fun. Two days later it was all good, but during those couple days I had to stay at my friend's house for safe keeping xD
Their kitten, who is staying at my house to get used to it, do some mousing, and keep me company, was quite happy when I got back because she got fed. xD

And that is my life, in a sandwhich.

On to the good news, however; my friend and his girlfriend helped me look for an apartment today. We only actually /looked/ at one, but it was nice, and we already know it's fairly safe since another exchange kid's family stayed there for two weeks when they were visiting. It's more like a condo, or a pimped-out hotel, really.
The room is small, and has no fridge, but the bed is comfy, they said they could provide me with a TV, the internet-in-room fee is not that much, and the fucking SHOWER, dudes. IT'S A FUCKING MASSAGE SHOWER. I swear to take pictures of the shower if I end up there.
Downstairs, there's a karaoke room, and a private theater that you can book and invite up to 23 friends, and a free-internet business center.
In the basement, there is a pool, sauna, gym, billiards tables, ping pong tables, and FREE F*CKING MASSAGE CHAIRS. PLUS hot coaches. SHIT DUDE.
Also, RIGHT across the street is a pretty decent vegetarian restaurant, that serves my favorite drink (passion fruit shaved ice... drink XD), and of course two 7-11's.
It's just a 10 minute walk (or maybe even less XD) to Taipei 101.
And pets are allowed (hmmm... I wonder if I could bring a pet back from Taiwan to the US.... ;333)

Turned out to be someone at my school informing us that I had to move the next day (Thursday, December 19th). Because the people one of the other exchange kids was supposed to go to didn't want a boy in their house. So he was to move to my host family, and I was to move to the one he was SUPPOSED to go to.
SO.
I packed... and Friday after school I moved. Thursday night and Friday all day and a good portion of Saturday were spent either crying or trying not to cry.
Then Saturday night.... I found out my cat died. Blackie. The cat that's been with me since I was three. She died in someone else's house, and was burried by them, because they had 'adopted' her after she ran away from my house thinking I wasn't coming back... My Blackie, my best friend for just short of 16 years. She missed her sweet sixteen. I had made my mom promise to bring her to the groomers and get her a new pink color with a bell and a heart-shaped nametag. But she never got that present.

Basically, I've been alternating between crying myself dry and holding myself together by a few threads ever since Thursday night. And Thursday, Christmas, is coming up in just two days... a week of crying every day. And something tells me that it'll be longer than that.

What a wonderfully lonely Christmas.

I've also been doodling a LOT. I have one picture I'm SUPER proud of, actually xD It has a background, and two characters, and stuff... it's really good, I think x3
Also I have one picture that screams 'ohshit, someone has been spending too much time in the cute-cultured area of East Asia' xD

I've learned to fold paper stars, and that's kinda been all I've done since Friday xD BUT, once I get off the computer, I think I'm going to go attempt to make some of those super-fun-lookin' paper children xD
And practice drawing people >>; I know I said I'd do that, but I really haven't done much of it. *shot*


In other news.
My 15-year-old cat is missing from my house back in Maine, and my mom doesn't know what happened to her.
My mom lost her election, but is going to a job in another country--somewhere near Saudi Arabia.
And all my friends are getting boyfriends withoout me ._O Even my (ex?)-lesbian friend now has a boyfriend. XD wtf?

Aaanyway. My ETL (estimated time of laptop) is now Halloween. So... Blah.

Hmm... I had a little bit of a mental breakdown yesterday because of various things--homesickness, bullying/'immaturity' on the part of another exchange student, and then on the part of the people in the art club, the f*ckin' HEAT, [link].--and I had to leave class after only an hour because I was crying and stuff. And I spent the rest of the day in the teacher's room talking to her and getting a pep-talk.
Then today at the end of school all my classmates crowded around me and were huggin' me and askin' me what was wrong and why I'd been crying yesterday and... ahwww, they're just so damned sweet ;3;

It's gunna be hard to leave, I can already tell. xD


On another note, I've finally got to charge my iPod. seriously. music is LOVE.

I'm making friends very quickly.
My class enjoys calling me 'cute', and are very vocal about their disbelief that I don't have a boyfriend.
They enjoy pointing out 'handsome boys'.
I still have to do math, PE, and physics D: --but it's a sophomore-level class, SO.

Nowww... since I've been set free to use the internet today, I'ma go check up on everything.

Well, as I'm off to Taiwan as of 6:30am, August 21st. I hope everyone will check up on my LJ for my (hopefully) weekly updates. I'm leaving my art and my characters in the watchful care of my friends, and hope you'll make sure no-one snatches them from me xD
Of course, this means I will not be uploading any art for about a year xD; But when I come back, you will be flooded, I'm sure--I'm taking my sketchbook with me, and these freaky-awesome 24-colored permanent markers.

Around Christmas I might/will be getting a laptop, so at that point I might be able to be online more. Not, y'know, the 24/7 that I normally am, but still o.o
