People piss me off. There. I said it. This mostly applies to people I know, in real life and internet alike. I don't know what it is that I do that I let people treat me the way they do. I know it's partly my fault too for just rolling with the punches and taking it with nary a bitch. I've been working on that as of late though. These past couple of months I've decided to stop putting up with the BS of friends, "friends", and whatever have you, and just being less forgiving. I've just had enough being Mr. Nice Guy all the time.

I've also withdrawn a bit. Just started keeping my distance from others too. In real life and online. I'll talk to them when I'm good and ready to. It may be a while, it might be in... never. Who knows. In the mean time, I've just been doing my own thing. Finding myself, being myself, all that good crap.

I wish I knew less people.

Here's a story for the ages... I realized I was gay when I was 19, believe it or not. For the longest time, I didn't really have any interest in the fairer sex. I really didn't think much of it, I just figured I hadn't met the right girl, or something like that. So I met my first girlfriend, we had similar interests (and probably acted too much alike), so I figured 'hey, she's a girl, I'm a guy', and I went with the whole motion. Of course none of it really felt RIGHT. I began to notice at this point that I was rather attracted to males. So being the observant one, I figured, Oh hey, I guess I'm bi. Wrongo. All this happened when I was 17. So finally I'm at home about 2 years later, and I was thinking, AM I gay? So I said it outloud. "I'm gay." It felt right somehow. "Well, I guess so," I said after that, and flopped on my bed and played Metroid.

What makes things worse was that it's my DVD player too. I'm gonna use my PS2 as a DVD player for now, so I bought the DVD remote for it 'cause using the controller is kind of a pain in the ass.

For some strange reason I get mistaken for being either white or asian. I'm neither. White, I guess I can understand, I'm a bit on the pale side (I suppose that would happen when you don't venture outdoors very often...) but I can't say much for the other thing.

Also, I bought a 1 month Xbox Live Gold subscription, just to give it a shot. Anyone play Dead or Alive 4 or Puzzle Fighter? I can use some people to play with. My GT is Water Ark. Blue-Ark... Water Ark... yeah. I really put a lot of thought into it. Depending how much I like it, I just may get a full year subscription.

At one point, I was planning on moving out of the house that I'm renting to an apartment complex that had roughly the same rent cost (albeit being a studio apartment) but then I came to discover that these apartments weren't located in a particularly nice neighborhood... so that's out. I just have to be a bit more assertive with my landlord. I don't LIKE having to call him about things that need to be done, but that's his JOB. Especially concerning this window AC unit he got to replace my old one. The original cooled the house just fine, but this one sucked. Turned out he'd gotten me one with only 6500 BTU. This room needs at LEAST 10,000. I nearly microwaved myself alive last summer. No way in hell am I going through THAT again.

So how IS everyone's new year so far? I've just been taking things a day at a time, I guess. Bracing myself for whatever life might throw/lob/heave/fling at me. It's just too early to tell what sort of year this will be.

Bought DragonForce's new CD today <3

I'm gonna get Dragon Quest IV for the DS when it comes out in September.
Originally on the NES, DQ IV was never remade again until late in the PSOne's life. It was made after Dragon Quest VII was released, and Enix America was going to bring it over here, it was even advertised on the back of the Dragon Warrior VII manual (DQ was called Dragon Warrior in America until DQ VIII came along). Unfortunately, the developer, HeartBeat, more or less disbanded at that point, and Enix America was unable to get the original source code so Dragon Quest IV for the PSOne was cancelled. I was a sad little fanboy.
Years later, Dragon Quest IV was remade for the DS, using the PSOne version as a base, and it, along with DQ V and VI, are coming to America for the very first time.
I am a happy fanboy now

And THAT'S why I haven't gotten Soul Calibur IV yet!

Did Santa Clause treat you all nicely this year? He sure did to ME hehehe

I got a digital camera and a DS! That's the ONE thing I've been begging for all year! I also got a few games to go with it, and they're fun point and click adventures, like Myst was. (does anyone remember Myst? Anyone I ask say they don't o_O) That and I got Puzzle Quest. Puzzle games like that are so fun! I wish I didn't pass up buying the original Puzzle Fighter for the PSOne 2 years ago... oh well.

I managed to get all my Xmas shopping done, in one day, on $200. I have NO clue how I did that, I just did. I also bought myself some stuff too, since I don't really get to do that very often

I got 2 CDs, one by Within Temptation, one by Hammerfall, and I got the 2nd DVD set of Voltron. Ahh, nostalgia. It's funny though, until a year ago, I never would have gone to the metal section in any music store, and now that's the ONLY section I seem to ever visit now lol

Completely off topic (although I usually am), there's this new bookstore in town that I've become a regular patron of. I love that place. All the books are used, so they're half off the cover price, AND the owner can order books for you, and you can take in your old books for store credit. Not only did I get $18 in store credit, but I also scored the entire series Deltora Quest on 2 omnibus editions, so I'm gonna see if I can somehow get the rest of the series Prospero's Children. I read THAT one a few years ago when I was still working at the college library. Damn, that's about when I first joined dA.

Apparently I was one, and we were fighitng against a group of evil Power Rangers, when a disembodied voice CHASTISED us, saying that rangers should NEVER fight, and we were all transported to the house I grew up in, and were all forced to sit on the couch together, HUGGING, until we stopped being enemies.

And the entire dream was narrated by Cree Summer.

It was pretty fun, actually. Which is interesting coming from me, since I'm in no way a fan of Halo But there was soda, chips, lots of cool fellow gamers and nerds alike to talk to... and one of them was really cute X3

The only real bad part was that people who were plunking down $70 for the limited editions of the game were finding the discs were loose in the cases, and a lot of them were VERY badly scratched. What we ended up doing was opening up some of the Limited Edition cases and switching out bad discs for good ones, so everyone could get the best set possible. THAT was a pain in the ass to do lol

But all in all, for the most part, the party went by without incident.

However, when I got home later that day, I got attacked by a swarm of mosquitos. It seems that entire DAY the whole town had a mosquito epidemic! Every other person was coming into the store where I work buying Off spray and stuff. But hell, can you blame them?! I bombed my house before heading off to work that day though, so my house was completely mosquito free when I got back from work. Or maybe it had to do with the sudden storm that hit? Who knows?

So the next morning I woke up with a full blown cold. So I've been medicating myself with Dayquil, Ibuprofen, and echinacea. And plenty of Sunny D. Gotta get my vitamin C SOMEwhere I guess lol

Anyhoo, the bad week is ending, I won $50 in a drawing at work, and I get 2 days off in a row this week, plus it's been rather slow and pleasant at work. I think I'm feeling just a bit optimistic.

I'm slightly disappointed at the moment, earlier this year I read that Guilty Gear XX Accent Core for the PS2 would be released at the end of THIS month (tomorrow to be exact) but when I looked it up on Wikipedia again, it got pushed back to Fall of this year. Oh wells.

So I finally finished watching all of Go Go Sentai Boukenger (minus the teamup special). It was pure awesome, I gotta say. I wonder if Power Rangers Operation Overdrive will be just as good...

Anyway, the song I'm listening to right now, Warriors, by Freedom Call, has been stuck in my head all freaking week! That and Ice Queen by Within Temptation. The video for it is AWESOME! The vocalist is beautiful, and has a very soothing voice. I think I'll try to find some of their CDs next time I got out of town.

Is it my imagination or did movie and game rentals really DIE when DVDs and the PS2/GC/Xbox came around?

I'm just askin' because I remember at the local rental stores in town, the business was boomin' when there were only VHS tapes, and the only systems were NES, SNES, and Sega Genesis. Ahhh, the good times... I miss my NES. Although I still have my SNES and Sega Genesis hehehe

Although my Genesis may be useless now, since the games I own for it are on the Sega Genesis Collection for the PS2, which I also own. Huh. I wonder if the cables for the Genesis will work for this Sega Saturn that I somehow got a hold of...

My SNES isn't going anywhere anytime soon, I have way too many games for it that I love!

I remember when my PSOne died... that made me sad. Oddly enough, it happened right when I got my PS2. My PS2 killed my PSOne! Oh well, I can play my PSOne games on the PS2 anyway lol

Okay, if anyone who reads this listens to power metal, I'd like some recommendations, please I already listen to Rhapsody of Fire, Dragonland, Dragonforce, Fairyland, Kamelot, Freedom Call, and Sonata Arctica.

Now that that's over with... how was everyone's Equino... er, I mean Easter? I got a lot of chocolate covered marshmallows from my mom. Now THOSE are the best part of Easter, I think I wonder if I should still make some hard boiled eggs, just for the hell of it...

Does anyone have this same problem as I do? EVERY time I try to sit down and watch a movie, or nap, or something like that, I get interrupted EVERY 15 minutes! God it's annoying! Case in point: Just as I was getting ready to watch a movie, the phone rang, and like a dummy, I answered it. My job called and wanted to know if I could come in 4 hours early o_@
...unfortunately I need the hours so I said yeh XD

So to respong to #2, I'll have to give that a try! To respond to #7, here's why. Just before I joined DA, I was playing Final Fantasy IX and I just got the Eidolon, Ark. Ark was the most kick ass summon I have ever SEEN! Even moreso than my beloved Leviathan... T_T
So when I tried to name myself "Ark", it was already taken, so I tried tacking on my favorite color on the front of it, and that reulted in "Blue-Ark"

At this point, I'm starting to think it's about time I just got a different job all together. It sucks at the K-Mart where I work now. We're so horribly understaffed it's not funny.

Anyway, I found me quite a few good deals on stuff lately. I was going through a bargain bin of games at a store in town, and I found 2 games I've been looking for: Phantom Dust for the Xbox for $9.99, and Indigo Prophecy for the PS2 for $4. That's right, $4! I was willing to give up my phantom first born for that game! Whoever wold make that deal with me would be scammed though, since I have no intention of ever spawning. And I FINALLY bought Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. I've been wanting to see that for the longest time! It was either that or The Protector with Tony Jaa, but CTHD was cheaper

I also bought a CD folder for $10, it holds 128 CDs. I'm gonna use it to hold CDs I burned of shows I downloaded, 'cause they're EVERYWHERE on my desk! Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger, Mahou Sentai Magiranger, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, they're all here, and won't be taking up valuable food space on my desk any longer XD

Ten art facts about the one who calls himself Blue-Ark, professional Son of Adam. (ugh... i need to stop watching Narnia )

(1) I've been drawring since I was about 4! I used to draw stories on printing paper, then when it was done, I'd staple it together and show my mom. I was always so proud of them! They tended to be Pac-Man, Mega Man, or Ghostbusters stories XD

(2) I've NEVER been able to draw animals, and I still can't! Not even really cartoony ones!

(3) I started drawing in anime style when I bought Samurai Showdown for the SNES when I was about... 11? I liked the art of Nakoruru in the instruction manual so I tried copying it, and 13 years later (god i'm old) here I am.

(4) Before I got into drawing anime style, I used to draw in The Simpsons style quite a bit. It wasn't my MAIN style, but you could see the influence lol

(5) At one point, all I ever drew was girls. In high school, I was to draw about 5 different pictures as a series, and name it. I named it "Pretty Girls, pretty girls". This was when I was in full swing in the anime style. The teacher said at first he wouldn't accept them because he didn't want "Pokemon drawings" >_< I wanted to break his head off and crap down his neck.

(6) When I first joined this site, I used pencils to sketch my pictures, pens to ink them, and then Adobe Photoshop to clean up the inking that I did. I was 20 at the time. Now I'm 24, and I don't use pens anymore, I scan the sketch instead, and on another layer above it, I ink using the airbrush tool. It takes about as long as fixing mistakes if I'd inked it physically, I suppose lol

(7) If I couldn't color using Photoshop, I wouldn't color my pictures at ALL. I SUCK at using color pencils. I'd be so lost without Photoshop

(8) Probably the biggest influence on my art is the great Masamune Shirow. His art is just so freaking incredible!

(9) I usually draw heads on people a bit too big accidentally On the picture I'm working on at the moment, I had to shrink their heads in Photoshop by about 15% >_>

(10) I do my best work drawring in the weeeee hours of the morning. This one I'm working on, I sketched it at 2am while watching The Fifth Element on TV.

I am totally head over heels for this band I found out about last week. Their name is Rhapsody of Fire (formerly Thundercross, also formerly Rhapsody). Their style is "symphonic power metal", and... simply put, it rocks. From what I'm getting, their songs tell stories about dragons and princesses and wizards

My injury is healing slowly but surely. The swelling's gone down quite a bit, and it's not as bruised anymore. It's turning that lovely shade of pukish yellow, indicating it's going away. Go me!

Recuperating at my parents house.

Why, you ask?

On my way to work, December the 14th, at approximately 6:50am, my bike decided not to carry me anymore, so it threw me off when I hit a large puddle of water. I went tumbling, finally stopping in the middle of the drive in to Sizzlers. In excruciating pain, I managed to get the rest of the way to work, but there was no way in hell I'd have been able to handle the day, so my mother took me to the doctor, to discover that not only did I sprain the crap out of my ankle, but I also have a hairline fracture. Go me. So I've been in crutches, wearing this contraption around my foot called a Moon Boot, or as I like to call it, my Mega Man Boot.

Yeh, I spent X-mas being injured lol

Around the beginning of the month I went to the river with some of my family. It wasn't too bad. We stayed on his pontoon most of the day, with the shade up, so I didn't have to put on any sunblock. I also got bored and played with an oyster I found. Ever since I was little I'd find them and wonder what was inside. Well, my curiosity finally won me over and I managed to pull it open... from the back. Poor guy never saw it coming. I felt bad.
It was around this time was when I finally got my vacation at work, the one I put in for in FEBRUARY. Oh well. I got it, and that's what matters. I didn't get to enjoy it too much though. I know this'll probably sound fucked up, but my friends and family sabotaged my vacation. They robbed me of my ME time! Maybe that's why it felt like it just zipped by...

I also happened to need the day AFTER my vacation ended off for a doctor's appointment out of town, but that was in less than 2 weeks, and 2 weeks is the minimum timeframe you need to ask for days off at my job, so I told them I HAD to go because of said appointment. Well, I got it off. And I went out of town. And I didn't have to see the doctor. Why? There was an appointment alright, but it was for my mom. I never said WHOSE doctor's appointment it was. Their bad for being presumptuous

While we were out of town, we visit the mall, and I only ever visit 2 stores there, Barnes & Noble and GameStop. I bought the manga "Ju-On 2" at B&N and... nothing at GameStop, which is kind of a rare occurence. So while I was meandering around the mall, I decided to browse the electronics section at Sears. It was almost like an instinct, I guess. I didn't think there'd be too much there, but it wouldn't hurt to look. The first thing I saw there was a bargain bin of unopened games, so I thought maybe they'd have something cool I might like THERE. So while I was browsing the bin, I got to make some conversation with one of the cute worker guys
So after browsing the whole bin, I saw a game that was turned so that I couldn't read the spine, and it was Ninja Gaiden Black for the X-box, brand new, still in the celophane. $14.97! And since I'm a (un)fortunate employee of K-Mart, Sears accepted my employee discount card and the price of the game dropped down to six bucks and some change! Awesome, no?

So Ninja Gaiden Black is what I've been playing lately. That game is freaking hard!!! >_< But hey, I've managed to make it to the 4th chapter, so I guess I'm doing okay lol
Going between NGB and God of War. Both are kinda pissing me off XD

That's about it. It's about 1:40am and I need to be at my mom's house by 9am to do my laundry and recycle my cans and get some cash. So I finally cracked. I knew I would never wear them. I wore ONE of them once and it was so freaking uncomfortable! XD
I realized then that I put comfort above looking decent. ALWAYS. So I took th shirts back to the store (nearly 3 weeks later) and exchanged them all for larger shirts. I like XXL, thank you!

But now they label shirts as not being XXL, but 2XL. And it reminded me of that robot toy that gave kids quizzes and stuff about science, and grammar, and math, called 2XL, remember that?

I was in some strange fantasy type world, and it was the day before Easter in the real world. I was given the task by a woman with long red hair in a white mideivil dress to safely bring back something called the Damascus Fruit from some people who had stolen them. So I broke into their hideout, which was deep in some woods called The Twilight Wood, and got them back. Damn bandits. I brought them back in the sack they were being held in, and the woman, it turns out, was the Lady of Snow, and when I gave her the fruit, still in the sack, she emptied the sack gently into a really ornate wicker basket. The fruits looked like EASTER EGGS. They WERE Easter eggs. The Lady of Snow then told me that when winter comes to an end, she passes into a different world, the REAL world, in the form of a white rabbit, and gives the Damascus Fruit to the good children.

Anyhoo, I finally got myself a copy of Dead or Alive 3. I LOVE this series!

I also seem to be getting hooked up by a friend with someone. Let's see if THIS one actually comes to fruition unlike all of the other ones that got terminated before they even got started. I'm just not too keen on keeping my hopes up or anything lol

So yeh... anyone catch Power Rangers Mystic Force? It's quite good

Anyway, I've been working on a project of mine... it's about 1/3 of the way done. When it's aaaall done, I'll post it up here. It's gonna be a little multimedia project, too! With wallpapers, icons maybe, and a whole series of pictures! It'll be really cool to see when the first wave is all done!

So I went out of town the other and bought quite a few DVDs. The 2nd boxset for X and the first season of Magic Knight Rayearth. I guess I kinda went on a CLAMP binge, huh?
Sadly, after watching MKR, I've realized that personality wise, I'm a LOT like Umi. I guess it's not REALLY such a sad thing, seeing as she's my favorite character. And she has powers over water X3
and her Rune God is Selece the Sea Dragon X3
so it's all good

I think I need to take more vitamins or something. For my memory, anyway.
I forgot I was gay the other day.

Anyhoo, for X-Mas, I got 3 very awesome gifts!

-an X-box! The regular one, that is. The 360 can wait its ass till it drops in price by a good $100
-Jade Empire, for the X-box
So yeh, I now have all 3 of the systems from the "last gen". I am so with the times!!!!!11


And once again, I got a "WTF gift" from my aunt. I love her and all though

THE MELEE CONTINUES
I may have lost all my Super Smash Bros. Melee information, but dammit, I'm working to get it all back. Me and have every character unlocked, as well as a good amount of the stages again, new trophies... and those damned event matches >_<
GOD they piss me off lol


BAD TIMING
It sucks... too many good games come out at the same time, when I'm freaking broke! Indigo Prophecy, Romancing SaGa, Fire Emblem... my poor wallet... T_T
On the plus side, I put a PS2 on layaway for :midoriko: for Xmas, and I put 2 GBA games on there too, Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, and Final Fantasy: Dawn of Souls. Oh yeah, and Final Fantasy IV, V, and VI are also being remade for the GBA! Final Fantasy VI!!! That is my absolute favorite FF of all time!

PEOPLE SUCK
So in town recently, a white man and a black woman were going to get married. They received threats in the mail, how there was gonna be a drive by shooting at the ceremony, amongst other things. How stupid is that? Why can't people get over themselves and finally just accept the fact that we're not living in the 1800's anymore? They come into the store all the time, they're a very nice couple. People disappoint me every day -_-

CLEAN UP TIME
I'm back to doing my regular style of coloring! And you know what? I don't even need pens to do it anymore! *ditches the pens* Anyhoo, I cleared out a bunch of stuff in my gallery, so now sketches and linearts are now located in my scraps. Everyone, feel free to color them, except the 2 that are fanarts of other people's characters. Aside from that, it's all gravy

ENJOYING SOME BOX
Well, I've made up my mind... I plan on buying a refurbished X-box next time I go out of town. And it's just for a handful of games anyway, so why pay full price? The games in question:
Dead or Alive 3, Dead or Alive Ultimate, Ninja Gaiden Black, Fable, Jade Empire, Samurai Showdown V... anyone have any other suggestions?

AFTER her husband, who was fixing my toilet, made a total mess in the bathroom and didn't clean it up. Not to mention they didn't even bother locking the doors when they left. BENEATH THE OCEAN
Sea World... oh God it was fantastic!
At Shamu's show, we were sitting in the Splash Zone... his jumps didn't make too big of a splash, so I thought that we'd be relatively dry... until at the end, they pulled this nice little stunt where he'd swim around the parimeter of the tank and flip his tail, sending cascades of water into the audience. I had no time to react as I saw this huge wave heading straight for my face
While in San Diego, we got to visit Old Town, and we went into the haunted Whaley House. That place has a consider amount of energy, especially on the second floor, where there's a vortex in the hall. Oh yeah, I saw a ghost! I swear! In the mirror in the master bedroom, it was like a fleeting image of someone walking by in the mirror's reflection! I wish I brought a camera to see if I could catch any orbs or mists. Ah well. I have plenty of pictures from Sea World at least hehehe

I'm telling you, some of todays parents leave me mesmerized at how they've become such pushovers. And then letting them take a crap in the middle of the store and not even alert anyone about it?? Blech...

I haven't been there in ages! Last time I went was on a class trip in 6th grade! I was 11... that was 12 years ago. God I'm old lol The only other time before that, I was 4, and I vaguely remember getting a "Shamu & Friends" vinyl o_@
Anyway, hopefully I can find the second Vampire Hunter D novel while I'm up there, seeing as I finished the first one already!

So me and four of my friends... okay, ALL four of my friends came over to my house, and we played Duel Monsters (I won 1 out of 2 times, go me!) and we had a 4 way free for all on Super Smash Bros. Melee! I kick ass with Samus from Metroid hehehe

Sadly, all my information on that game got erased. I had EVERY character, ALMOST every arena, and ALMOST every trophy! *sobs balefuly* Do you know how freaking hard it was to beat the Majora's Mask trial?! The Gigantic Bowser trial?! The F-Zero Big Blue trial?!?!?!
Thankfully one of my friends also has the game and is letting me copy his file, so all is not lost... whew!
