avatar. freaking best movie ever. EVER! i'm trying to find a way to see it in 3D now, but idk if that's possible......i think it might be in imax only......and the nearest imax is a state and a half away......and that's only for a museum......anyway, great great great fantastic amazing awesome rockin' movie!!!!!

i spent literally all day working on my final project for my fashion class. literally, from the time i woke up, to the time i'm sitting here writing this, was spent putting that damn thing together. the first thing i did this morning, before even getting out of bed, was to start cutting and gluing my drawings to backgrounds.

and it's not like i just woke up this morning and decided to do my entire project. I had all my drawings done, all my info collected, it was just putting it together that took so long.

AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHY!!!! everytime i looked up, another hour had passed. it was like i was trapped in some freakish time warp that made the clock go crazy.

anyway. just thought I should share.

my parents say i cant sign up to be in the all state marching band and go and march in the rose bowl parade next january....cuz its not safe. and cuz its too much money (even tho i would have no problem getting it, even if it required soliciting the relatives....). and cuz.....yeah....

I mean, they're such an illogial, hypocritical race it's almost funny.

But it just ends up being annoying.

I'm not sure I like being human.

Anyway, i'm going to complain now. So I have these two stories that I want to write. One is just because it's fun and a cool idea that i've been wanting to write about for a long time, and the other is more of a im-saying-something-about-people-so-listen-up kind of thing, even though it's still kind of a fun idea. And one is more in the catagory of what's popular right now, and the other is what *i think* will be popular in a few years. Both are ideas that i'm positive - if i worked really hard - could someday be published. Which one do i work on first!!! ARGGGG!!!!!!

Also, i'm editing one of my friends stories. So far, I've finished chapter two. He's now writing chapter nine. I'm such a slacker. And it's a really good plot and everything, but his style needs a lot of work. I honestly think it would be better as a screenplay, seeing as that's sort of how he's writing it anyway. But i think he prolly could publish it after a few years hard work and some experience...and i want to help him get it there. XD

I'm begining to think i'm too nice. Not that i haven't thought that before. It's like an annoying reflex. I'm a bitch, then i apologize, just so i can avoid having to deal with people being mad at me. it's stupid, and yet i still find myself doing it.

And i'm really good at BSing essays. i just wrote an essay that was only about 1/4 true. but hey, it was a personal essay, and i'm not a personal person. i don't want some teacher knowing things about me. i'm gonna be screwed when it comes to applying for college, aren't i?

Here are mine (least weird to weirdest):

4.) Moths. not really a fear fear, just creepy.

3.) Lawn gnomes. they are creeepy as hell. i also blame them for every bad thing that goes wrong. but they still scare me. i'm always worried that they'll come to life and try to eat me or something......

2.) Rabies. (when I was a little girl, i was super afraid that a rabid chihuahua was under my bed and i would never ever ever put my feet or hands near where the rabid chihuahua under my bed could get me if it tried to bite me. Now I have a bed that doesn't have a space between the frame and the floor, so im ok.)

Aaaaand....#1.)the color Salmon. i'm actually not afraid of it anymore, i just hate it, but when i was younger it scared the crap out of me. i think i asociated it with death, but i'm not really sure if that was it or not. i'm pretty sure it was tho......

So yeah. there are my strangest fears. now tell me yours, cuz i'm bored. XD

it's not that i don't get straight a's. cuz i do.

it's not that most of the schoolchildren hate me. cuz i don't really care.

it's not that teachers don't love me. cuz they do.

it's not that i have classes i dislike. cuz i only have two of those.

i'm bored. really bored. despite the fact that i have tons of busywork to do, i have nothing that interests or challenges me beyond testing my ability to focus on hours of notes and math. i'm bored.

and i also dislike being so clumsy in front of so many people.

this sums up my first week and a half:

wake up. stand up. fall over. get back up. get to school. trip down stares. six times. fail to open locker. fifteen times. even though everyone else has no problem with it. go to lunch. wait in the worlds longest line. fall over while getting tray. eat. go to more boring classes. fall over a few more times for good measure. enter crazy stalkers. ignore crazy stalker rambling. take home homework. go home. eat. homework. rinse and repeat for best results.

so yeah. it's not the greatest place ever. and i have a feeling it won't be the greatest year ever.

moving beyond whining, im writing a novel. for real this time. i will finish it. i will publish it. i will pay my way to college with it. i will not post it here, though i may rant quite frequently about it.

so, i just looked at the regional results........i wouldn't have stood a chance in shot, but that's ok cuz i don't care too much about it...........but what really, really, REALLY pisses me off is that mr. head coach took that one girl in both shot and disk because of one lucky throw......and she threw 83 ft.......i'm consitantly outthrowing her...........the throw that got 8th in regionals was 90ft 4in.......i DEFINATELY could have hit that. I'm not even kiding. It's not even that big of a stretch that i could have hit 95. but just because i couldn't hit 90 in meets before, mr. coach didn't take me. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

But that's not even the half of it. mr. coach man has said, for the past few years, that he will take the girl throwers to regionals if they can hit 80 in disk and 30 in shot. this year, every girl hit past 80 in disk, for the first time ever.............two days later, we find out that the minimum has been changed to 90 and 30. that !#@$&*%^&@$%!#@%!#$^#^%*^&($^&@#$%!@#%*&%()$^&%^!#$~@#%@$().!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yeah. so, just a little pissed here...........

I know I'm a social recluse, but in my defense, I caught the flu on christmas which promptly turned into pink eye, a sinus infection, and strep. yeah. in the past four days, all i've been able to swallow (strep didn't start untill friday) has been: a can of soup, an enchilada, mac&cheese, water, and a hell of a lot of popsicles. yeah. on the plus side, I lost all that christmas weight!!!!!

Sorry to sound so whinny...I'm just kinda pissed today........

so yeah! anyways, christmas was fun -for me at least- and, with the exeption of fat pants and the flu, (my grandma decided years ago that i am two sizes larger than I really am, and propmptly proceeds to send me pants that are too large for my MOM at every holiday and birthday....) it was a cool day.

Oh dear......
Here's what I didn't like:
-the makeup. I don't think they could have put more makeup on those poor actors if they tried. and it was sooo tacky, too. Ed was wearing waaaaay too much lipstick, Bella's colors were all wrong, Dr. Cullen looked like he had been mauled by a powdered sugar doughnut, Jacob looked like he was wearing a wig (which he was) and it was falling off. Rosalie looked like she was forty. Renee looked like a crack addict and Charlie was a monty. Seriously, the eye makeup was smuged a lot, and too dark in some scenes and uneven, and in the closeups to their eyes, you could see the contacts. So tacky. Future directors, unless a character is SUPPOSED to be wearing contacts, photoshop them out. Please. And the hair. good god. just look at the hair. It looks like they all got stuck in a toilet and flushed it. ugh. oh, and in the sunlight scenes, ed looks like he's been attacked by a rabid five year old who got ahold of stick-on rinestones
-the clothing. it just didn't work in a lot of places. it wasn't convincing, and again, bella's colors were slightly off.
-the special effects. Pu-lease. Just please. Those were some really bad, b-movie effects. I think they were worse than that Moonlight show (which i loved and miss very much) When Ed was climbing up the trees, he looked like the chick from The Ring when she's climbing out of the bathtub.
-the actors. Ok, they all need waaaay more experience, and most of them just look gay. or crazy. or both. the best actors:Eric, Jacob and James. and the crazy science teacher.
-the writing. whoever wrote this.....ugh. the lines were so cheezy and stupid.....i can't even talk about it, it was so bad...
-the fact that this movie had the potential to be one of the biggest movies in history, and they blew it. if Summit Entertainment had really gone all out and done this movie right, it would have been monumental. I'm not even kidding. this movie could have been the biggest thing ever, possibly bigger than LOTR. I mean, it's going to go down in history anyway, but it would have been nice if it had been because it was a truly great movie, and not because of screaming twelve year olds.

I drove to denver, co w/the fam., and believe me, that long in a car w/my crazy family is enough to make anyone a little wacky...so anyways, we drove around trying to find our hotel (which, btw, was a super fancy rich-people hotel) and it took us like an hour....blech...

the bro. wanted to ride a city bus, so my bro, dad & i went on the mad bus adventure, waited at the wrong stop, found the right stop, rode about 3 miles, realized our transfer slips didn't work, found a bus where they would work, watched some kids do a drug deal, proved to my dad that, despite the fact that i've never ridden a city bus in my life, i CAN read the schedual (GOOD LORD! WHY CAN'T I SPELL!!!) better than him, got on the bus, got off, and walked a mile back to our hotel. so in essence, we took a bus ride to nowhere.

also, we went to some really cool restaraunts and stuff and wanderd a bit and then got stuck in a blizzard coming home. yeah. so huzzah.

in denver, i realized that there is something about a city that i just love. there's just something so....primarily human about the movement and structure of a city - it is ours and we belong to it. I don't know any other way to describe it........

anyway, my english teacher was talking about halloween this morning (it had to do with this essay we're writing) and she started talking about why it was ironic that Mr. Summers (name pun) directed halloween activities......and then she started saying that way way back in hallow history, THERE WAS SATANIC RITUALS AND STUFF!!!!! Ok, so halloween does have SOME satanic rituals, but that's only with satanic freaks! I would like to take a moment to get everyone to recognize that not all ancient traditions are satanic. Most of them are just about celebrating the earth and the start of a new season! take the Pagan holiday Samhain (pronounced sowen), for example. IT'S NOT JUST A BUNCH OF CRAZY DEVIL LOVERS DANCING AROUND IN A CIRCLE, OK?!?!?!!?!?! it really is about celebrating the harvest and the earth. Just wanted to make that clear.

tonight my grandparents (neither of whom my mom has talked to in like half a year) decided that it was the perfect time to come see my family......they DROVE from New Mexico. It's like an 18 hour drive and any sane person would make it a two day trip, but my g-parents desided to come today. yea. apparently they thought we were in troubble or something because we got rid of our land line and my mom used her emergency credit card for school shopping.....yeah.

and my dad was being a spaz and decided to clean out my car's trunk while my mom and I were sitting in it talking (don't ask). So he starts throwing crap from the trunk at us WHILE i'm in the middle of trying to finish a sentance. As if it's not hard enough to do that with mom interupting every five seconds.

my life is an f'ing sitcom. I swear to god. I just haven't found the cameras yet.

on the more normal side, I've become the 'official reader' of all my friends stories! yay! maybe it'll inspire me to write something of my own.............

I went to the dentist today (I had to get some sealents (i cant spell, dont hate me) and stuff) and I absoulutely hate going to the dentist. Why? One reason, and one reason only: the fact that dentists seem incapable of being able to resist asking dumb questions. Normally I don't mind dumb questions. But when you've got two dental hygenists sticking their fingers in your mouth and poking around with their creepy dental instruments, it's kind of annoying when they ask you who does your hair. Or where you got your blouse. Or 'how's the weather up where you live'. Or 'Is the kid with the same last name, the same parents, the same residence, and who looks just like you your brother?'. DO THEY HONESTLY EXPECT ME TO BE ABLE TO ANSWER THEM?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? the answer: NO!!!!!!! So why do they ask such stupid questions when you're drooling all over your stupid bib-napkin while they hold your mouth open with clamps? To be friendly. To make small talk. I am not good at small talk. NO ONE IS GOOD AT SMALL TALK WHEN THEY HAVE FOUR FINGERS AND A MIRROR SHOVED IN THEIR MOUTH!!!!! So, to all the dentists reading this........please refrain from asking pleasant questions of your patients untill they have a free mouth.
