Hey everybody,

I'm just going to type an update of how I've been doing. Well, during Summer vacation I worked at a nursing home for eldery nuns in Maastricht the Netherlands, the city I was born and raised. In between I visited Castlefest and this was a different CF, because they excisted 5 years.
They had nice and delicious food, and some of the stands that sold food weren't there last year. I ate a falafel sandwich, and a knobibrötchen which is a bagel-like sandwich (without the hole in the middle) cut in half. The bagel-like sandwich is then baked on a griddle with a lump of butter and when they take it off of the griddle it's like you put it in a toaster, but then more juicier than when it's been in a toaster. Then they put a delicious garlicsauce on top of the bread and sprinkle parsly and other fresh tasting herbs on the garlicsauce. Then you can put things on top of the sauce, like tomatosalsa, galapeñopeppers, raw onions slices in half rings, etc, but I like it plain with only the garlicsauce. You can litterally see bits of pressed garlic in the sauce. But most of all: it is so enormously delicious. Oh yeah, if you want to kiss somebody that day you DO NOT want to do that because there are loads of garlic in the garlicsauce... unless the person you are going to kiss ate a knobibrötchen as well.
Last year I had on of those brötchen on the last day of CF and the next day when I woke up I had swolen eyelids and lips, really horrific and a bit scary. I thought it was an effect of the knobibrötchen, but luckily it wasn't because I didn't have it this year. But to be sure I brought some anti-allergic medication with me in case that it would happen to me again.

What else? O yeah, I've got a PukiPuki Pipi from the BJD-website Fairyland, and I named her Delphine. This is her [link] But there were some problems. Her faceplate wouldn't attach to the head, for the people who got BJD's you know that the head excists out of 2 parts (a head and a faceplate). But I got a free event plateface with it, and that did fit onto the head. So I went to a fair in Rotterdam and there they helped me. What was the case: I received 2 tiny magnets along with Pipi and they had to go in 2 little holes which were in the top of the head and the faceplate. In between I had contact with somebody who was at the fair with her stand, and a daughter of hers glued the magnets into the holes with quick drying glue. So finally the faceplate was secured to the head and I was thrilled and delighted!
Finally I can buy her new clothes, wigs and shoes and guess what? I ordered a new BJD from Fairyland, but I ordered it at a Dutch website who orders dolls at several BJD-websites. Usually and mostly the dolls you buy at such Dutch website are 'cheaper' than when you order it directly at the website. Luckily I got her as a full package and let's face it: she looks and is cute, no? [link] I think I'll call her something like Auroria, but if you have another name in mind don't hesitate of giving a comment with your name which you think suits Bisou the best.

Well what else? I'm very busy with school and my internship, because I'm in my final schoolyear. I only have 9 months left and if everything goes according to the plan I will be a real biology teacher for middle and high school next summer!!!

Greeniez,
Blue

Edit #2: the suspect who did it, died last night. Also a sixth victim died last night. So the deadrate stands on 7 deceiced people, including the suspect.

********************************************

Edit #1: not so long ago there is a fifth person who died because of the desperate deed of this crazy guy, and the thing is that he is in a critical condition, so the police hasn't been able to question him... I hope he survives so that he can rot away in prison for life: death is too good for him.

********************************************

Hey guys,

I have to tell you about this, because it is just too horrific. In Holland there is Queensday and every year it is celebrated on 30th of April. This happening is very unique, because the Dutch royal family likes to mingle with the Dutch civilians. And today that was also the case... until 11:50 AM. I was upstairs sitting behind the computer when the news reached me on the radio that an accident had happened at Apeldoorn where Queensday was setteled.

Pfff, it is hard for me to find the right words to keep it briefly. At 11:50 AM a black Suziki Swift (older model) rammed through crush barriers and came to a stop with his car at a monument. The thing is that the royal family was driving in an open bus, and when they went to the right that black car came rushing by at a speed of 80 km/hour. I have to excuse myself for not knowing the speed in miles. I first thought it was a coincidence, but when time went by it hit me that it could be an attack at the royal family. It is really sad that Queensday had to end in such way.

But the saddest thing is that four people got killed in this mad attempt to hurt the royal family in any way. It was all cought on tape and the horrific thing is that you can see people fly though the air, literally! I can give you a few links to some photo's and videomaterial, but I have to warn you: it is shocking!
[link] [link] [link] [link] [link] [link] [link]
Excuse me for the fact that it are only Dutch websites, but the images speak for themselves. It's an impression of how horrific it must have been, and all was live taped: Queensday is always live on Dutch television.

There was a mediaconference not so long ago and the spokespersons told that the man who did this, did it deliberately. That is the most horrific and shocking thing about it.

Well, I had to get away from the television and I am really confused of how this could have happened. The rumour goes around that that same guy attempted to do an attack earlier this morning, but was stopped by the police and securety.

I just don't understand...

Blue

Hey hey,

Long time since I've updated a journal. I can say this: I have been BUSY!!! I worked my butt of like hell! Well, to keep you informed I'll make a summary of what have happened.

1) 10 weeks traineeship
On monday November 17th of 2008 I started with my traineeship that lasted for 10 weeks!!! And not 1 day a week, no 4 days a week. I only had the wednesday "off", and it's places like this, because somewhat 4 to 5 times I had to go to school!!! So my actually days off were during the weekend.
But I can't complaint: it has been a really nice experience and a special one. Normally I had a traineeship for 2 days a week and within a week things really change. Now I got the opportunety to see the students for 4 days a week and that was really great!!! They accept you sooner and faster when you're around often. This thursday and the next one are my last two days of traineeship and then it's over

2) My 24th birthday
Yes yes, during this huge timelap I've turned 24, on February 24th!!! That's something special, ne? Turning 24 on the 24th of February What did I do and got? Well, every two years there is Carnaval in the south of Holland and I always have the honour to become a year older then. So: I went (with my parent) to the city, because Carnaval is celebrated on the streets. If you tell somebody from Amsterdam that people in the south of Holland celebrate Carnaval on the streets, he will give you the strangest look... like you're a chick that just came out of his egg.
Soooooooooo back to the things I did... I had fries from a paper pointed bag with loads of mayonaise, and that is such delicious mayonaise. It's runnier than normal mayonaise, but not too runny that it gets through the paper pointed bag. And it is special mayonaise: it's home-made and the recipie is a secret. I've tried to copy it like a million times, but still I've not been able to get it right.
After the fries, we went to a big square and together with my parents I've watched some bands who play Carnavalmusic. To finish the day off, we went to an icecream-bar and ate an icecream. I had a huge icecream with 6 different sorts of icecream: strawberry, banana, lemon, chocolat, pistachio and vanilla. On top of that there was a huge dot of whipped cream (home-made) and a little cookie covered with sugar. In one word: DELICIOUS!!! At some times I though "my God, I will never be able to finish it", but I did!!! And the funny thing is: 20 years ago I sat at that very same icecream-bar eating an icecream on my birtday!!! I saved the receite, so that's one great reminder!!!!!!!

3) Going to Poland
Yes, Yes, YES!!! I am going to Poland. It's a trip that will last for 10 days. It takes us two days to get to our first destination. On thursday in May I leave with my classmates and a couple of teachers and guides. It will be the 21th of May, the Ascension Day. It's the day that Christ went to heaven, and several countries within and outside Europe celebrate that day and actually have an official day off. After the first day we stay for the night in Poznán, and the next morning we leave towards the Biebrza. On the third day a three-day stay will start in the Biebrza. I'm going to visit the Biebrza to do research the local flora and fauna. The fauna will be reptiles. This research is linked to research I have to do in Holland as well and I have to find out which reptiles live in both Holland and Poland. So that will be great. I'll be staying for 3 days in a reserve in the Biebrza on a campingplace: back to basic!!! You know what the real neat thing is about Poland and the Biebrza??? When you are in the Biebrza, you'll find yourself being in Holland the way it was 200 years ago. The time somewhat litteraly stopt in Poland, and expecially in the Biebrza. That is a one-of-a-lifetime-experience to see how the nature was in Holland 200 years ago.
After 3 day in the Biebrza, we go further east towards the border of Belarus, and one of the 3 days we all can go to Bialowieza with a guide, because we are going to visit the last primeval forest that still exists in Europe. I guess it's still around for somewhat 10 years, at least 15 years and then that forest will be gone too. So I am really REALLY looking forward to this visit to the primeval forest.
The last 2 days we will spend on getting home quick, but...

I finally passed molecular genetics!!!! Yes yes yes, after 4 retries I finally got it. I got 56 points out of 100, but hey... I passed

Castlefest, you actually should visit it to know how it's like. I went 3 full days this year and I didn't regret it for 1 second. I did a few workshops of ballfolk to refresh my memories of one time ballfolk. I usually don't forget something like that like... really quick. O man, ballfolk is so much fun doing it!!! And if the instructor knows and/or sees that you get the hang of it really quick, then he 'throws' and sways you around like mad!!! What makes it even more fun

And Omnia was also great and THAH BOMB!!! They played new songs from their latest album and jammed with bands like Faun, Lebocha, etc. Also Kelvin Calvus joined them with a few songs. I'm telling you: he can to magnifique thing with glass balls. Check him out [link]

That is it for now! Gotta go, because I'm at my traineeship school.

Lots of love and greenies,
Blue

Hey hey,

How's everybody been? Finally I can rest up, because of my Summer vacation I'm really glad that I have vacation, but on the other hand I'm always happy when school starts

I'm going to Castlefest again, I went last year too but that was for 1 day. It was my first time then, and I'm the type of making sure if I like it or nog. But it felt so great and right, and I only got the chance to stay for a couple of hours.
So this year I'm going for the full monty 3 days long . I got a new skert/dress coat... it's consist of two layers: 1 layer is (plain) emerald-green and the other layer consists of lace-work and a fabric that's silk-like. I'll try to make a photo of it, and of course when I'm wearing it... then it's complete with an small corsage/bodice (black). Not one that 'covers' the belly and breast-area, but one that only 'covers' the belly.

And of course I'll make photo's of the location where it's held (Keukenhof at Lisse, Holland) -> it's famous of the tulipfields that always are in bloom in Spring. The url is: [link]
If you visit [link] you can select the English flag and you'll be able to read what Castlefest is all about. This is also when you visit the site of Keukenhof.

So, I also have vacationwork during July and August. It's a little complicated, but I do housekeeping for nuns at a convent and they live in Maastricht (the city where I was born and raised). So I have to clean their rooms and even remove the material of their incontinence Out of the total 8 rooms I have to clean, there are at max 3 nuns who use diaper... but that's being 'stackt' in a bucket with a plastic bag in it, so the only thing I have to do is to take the lid of the bucket and emediately take the top of the bag and close it. Then it's not so bad considering the smell.
Ah well, that's the only gross thing about this work, but futheron it's pretty neat, because I'm able to look inside something where you normally wouldn't come. And the talks that you have with the nuns is great too!!! Talking and chatting with them brings you through the days and they actually like it when they notice that you actually listen to them. Some of the nuns are really sweet, but there are some that ain't that sweet. Another girl told me that there are nuns that mess M&Ms on purpose and when you are ready cleaning up their room, they go and check for a M&M and if they ever find one they will punish you for that ( evil nun )!!!

Oh oh, 2 weeks left for Castlefest!!!

Lots of love & ,
Blue

Hey hey,

I haven't typed a journal for a long time (april 10th was the last one). I've been very VERY busy with school and my trainee-ship. I 'graduated' for that with a 7/C or C+. I don't know what a 7 as a grade is in Amerika (A+ = a 10 here in Holland, etc.)

Well... in 2 weeks I'm going to begin with my last week of exams for this year, and then I'm on the half of my education I did not find the time yet to start and learn... I have an exam where I have to know most of 350 parts --> we had excursions to several nature areas and the things we (as students) have seen there, come back in the list with thos 350 part... birds, plants and other things like insects, invertebrated, dragonflies and damselflies. The most of those 'things' I do recognise, but it's still hard.
And on the thuesday I have 3 exams -> the exam by means of the list with those 350 things, an exam that I'll take for the second time of the course Behavioral Ecology and the last one Molucular Genetics... I know, not the lightest courses, but they are interesting and fun once you get it

I'm going to upload a couple photographs which I made during the excursions to the several nature areas in Holland.

xxx Blue

Hey everybody,

I've been very busy with school and all, and I still am. Next week I have a few days of exams and I still didn't got the chance to make a beginning with learning for the exams. Ah well... that's my type of living nowadays.

I spoke with my best friend SarahTsukimi and she told me 'Upload new photo's again!' And I've taken a look.... the latest photo's are from November 2007!!! So, I'll be updating photo's later on.

I'm now at my traineeschip-school, and I'm tired, feeling sick and had enough for this day furtheron. So... it's nice and all, and I love teaching but every thursday and friday I have to get up at 5 am. And on mondays & thuesdays my colleges start around 10:30 am and wednesdays at 1:30 pm!!! So the comparisation form sleeping in on wednesday 'till 9 am and getting up on thursday at 5 am... that's a real bummer.

Gonna go now.... don't feel like writing any further.

Greetings,
Selene

Hey hey,

My first journal on my new account. I wanted to have a fresh start. Before this account I had another acount, but due to school I wasn't able to keep it up-to-date, and I wanted to focus on photography. This is because of the fact that I haven't drawn for.... like 2 years.

So that's why I started a new account. I really must upload new photo's, and I've got loads of them... prepare, PREPARE

Oh, December 15 I'm going with my best friend to Aachen, this because of her birthday!!! I'm only gonna buy a couple of manga's to complete my collection of (German version) Peach Girl.
Furtheron I'm only gonna buy something when I see something really, REALLY cool on the Weinachsmarket (a market concerning only Christmas).

Well, gotta go now 'cause I'm in college now. THANK YOU WIRELESS INTERNET!!!
