It's just starting, yes, but it seems like a lot of people are taking a liking to the idea, not to mention I've fallen head-over-heels for what this can become with due time. It's been five years in the making, and I'm ecstatic about the small buzz it's created.

This all started from the idea of me becoming frustrated with the idea of Tootie being such a weak, dependent character of whom can only be pitied. From my constant daydreaming, I made up a path for Tootie that would lead her to become a teenage femme fatale that can not only stand up for herself, but protect the people she loves... like Timmy Turner.

Originally, the idea was to have her take classes in Chinese martial arts at a school not far away from her residence. With Timmy with Trixie, Tootie was left to dedicate her life to just martial arts and studies, similarly to how she is in the new arc. The problem was the storyline seemed too detached from the FOP canon for me, despite it being an AU fic. There was also the problem with Tootie losing too much of the side of her most people liked about her in the first place. In the first arc, she had an usually serious and dark personality, and none of the playful, whimsical qualities of some of her best episodes from the show.

With her Timmy interest still intact, it was much easier to write with her, giving her a deep background without taking away what makes her the Tootie we all know and love. She'll have a friendly rival with a certain other character, keep her love/(mostly) hate relationship with Vicky, and eventually have her share of adversaries of whom to lock horns. Her character and skills will evolve, hopefully making her into a multidimensional heroine that to whom readers can relate.

As I stated before, her discipline was originally Chinese martial arts, due to my admiration of Chun Li and other young fighting game females that practiced some branch of them. I imagined Tootie in that camp, with quick moves and not a lotta strength. It was paired with ballet because I thought the two styles would mesh together well due to each art having their unique form of gracefulness, though they share the same basic foundations. She would be a speed character, with lightning-fast combos and a repertoire of other moves that would make her opponent's head spin.

As I continued drawing out the story, the idea of Fighter Tootie just being a speedster sounded more and more dull. After digging up some more information on Chinese grappling arts, I came across a style called San Shou--a Chinese form of mixed martial arts. With its wide mix of attacking strategies, I became more certain that this would be best suited for Tootie, as I figured as geeky as she was, she'd try to cover all bases of combat.

With her slight evolution in fighting style, I imagined her as more buff than the average fighter girl, similar to Blue Mary or Maki. Unfortunately, I inevitably couldn't see the idea outside of a fighting game universe, and switched to Karate mixed with Ballet. By that time, her fighting attire had also evolved. In December of last year, I asked =Attlantic to draw a fighting stance that borrowed elements from Cammy and Sakura. By the end of the month, we had something quite concrete, and on New Year's Day, I debuted the first "official" Fighter Tootie design.

It was basically her old schoolgirl outfit with several modifications that =Attlantic and I thought would look good on her. The initial response was warm, in my opinion, and made an effort to seek other artists for their take on the concept. As this "phase" of mine was progressing, I began planting seeds for the actual story. I had a background story for Fighter Tootie back in January, but it was nowhere near as complete as it is now. There still are some spots that need addressed (i.e., the identities of Tootie's sensei)...

I've always known him as four things--Johnny Carson's sidekick ("You are correct, sir!"), the host of the biggest new talent showcase of the 80's (Star Search) spokesman for a now defunct magazine company's multi-million dollar sweepstakes (American Family Publishers)... and the guy Donald Trump bought a house off of. He was big part of my childhood even at his seniorly age. My prayers go out to his family.

Earlier today, celebrated actress Farah Fawcett died. She was 62. She was best known as Jill Munroe on the popular action show from the 70's called "Charlie's Angels," and I understand she was quite the sex symbol back then. She didn't really have much exposure after the show ended, but she had posed on the best-selling Playboy issue of the 90's. Talk about a girl who still has it. She agreed to marry her long-time romantic interest Ryan O'Neal. It's unfortunate it didn't happen.

But possibly the most shocking news of all is what has just been leaked...

"The King of Pop" has been pronounced dead... 50 years young.

He had worked with great veterans such as Rod Temperton and Quincy Jones III. He had the first feature-length video, is the biggest selling artist to date. He's had well-documented issues with women, children and his real estate, and he had plans to do a final world tour.

I was a huge fan of his work on the "Thriller" and "Off the Wall" albums. The music just didn't feel the same when his "Bad" album came out in '87 (not that it wasn't good.) My mother and my little sister are big fans, and when they told me the news, I was in disbelief until I found it on the front page of msnbc.com a couple of hours ago.

Let's have a moment of silence for each of these truly talented personalities.

Lately, I've been reading comments on fanart requests done by major artists that involve female muscle. While it appeases members of the femmuscle community, it seems to be a huge turnoff to many others. To some people it seems like *any* muscle on a female is unattractive.

Personally, I like a bit of definition on a girl. Scrawny girls seem to be the norm, and while the shape of a slim figure is appealing to me, a girl who's not afraid to pump a little iron is even more admirable.

Don't give me wrong, though- I have my limits. Anything beyond the physique of a fitness model (or a mild bodybuilder) usually grosses me out. In fanart, it's impressive because it's great to see how detailed an artist can be (See the impressive definition of Tootie on my latest commission). In real life, though, it makes them look like they're trying to avoid every guy possible.

So I guess my question is: what's your opinion of female muscle? Is a little good, or is it really unbecoming of a lady? Any opinion will be respected.

This Sunday Night on CBS, Password is coming back to TV in a big way.

If you've never heard of Password, the main idea is to get someone to guess a word or phrase by giving one-word clues. It's really simple, but there are many ways to reach a soultion, and there is no end-all method.

There have been many incarnations. The original Password ran between 1961-1967, created by Bob Stewart (creator of the mighty "Pyramid" series of game shows), and hosted by Allen Ludden (Betty White's late husband). The original series involved two pairs of a contestant and a celebrity, playing in turns, back-to-back. Each word could be worth as much as ten points, but the value decreases by one for every wrong guess. Twenty-Five points won the match, $100 ($250 in primetime versions), and the winning pair played the "Lightning Round"- a sixty-second race to correctly guess five more words @ $50 each. Plenty of episodes of this version exist on game show trading circuits and can be been on the GSN cable network in the wee hours of the morning... not to mention YouTube has episodes on call.

There was also a revival in 1971, which was played similarly to the original, but with a "Betting Word," where the contestant can risk some or all the money they won in the Lightning Round. This format changed in 1974 due to network intervention, using all stars (which usually doesn't work). The all-star format involved six stars appearing for the whole week, with two stars giving words to the other four stars. The first two who correctly guessed three passwords advanced to the main game of Password.

The main game added a "Double" option that gave a team a chance to earn 20 points by guessing a word with just one clue- with the risk of the other team being able to steal those points with miss. Fifty points won the game and the winning pair played the "Big Money Lightning Round"- a beefed-up version of the original Lightning Round.

The pair confronted up to three trios of words, with thirty seconds to complete each level:

First Level: $50 a word, plus $5 for every second left.
Second Level: Each word is worth the earnings from the first level, plus $10 for every second left.
Third Level: Ten times the second level's earnings if completed.

In 1975, the format was tweaked to include civilians to play with stars again after ratings tanked. It did little to save the show, as the show was canceled a few months later. There are precious few episodes of the 1971-1975 run (due to "Swiping"- erasing and reusing of video tape) on the trading circuits, but there are a few episodes floating on YouTube.

I'm not sure of the rules of this version, but I'm sure it will involve plenty of the classic elements of Password. I can only hope that the celebrities play the game with class and intelligence. Neil Patrick Harris (from "How I Met Your Mother") is someone I'm looking forward to see. And of course, there's Regis.

Take a look at the archives and tune in to the premiere Sunday, June 1st @ 8 PM EST!

I wrote this because I really wanna get this off my chest. I've been a fan of Tootie for over three years now, and even though my affinity for the Fairly Odd Parents fandom is a shell of what it used to be, my admiration for this minor character has been consistent.

Nearly four years ago, when I was unemployed, I started tuning into FOP. Its catchy humor, lovable characters and addictive theme song quickly hooked into me. It was the number two show on Nickelodeon at the time, and there were a healthy handful of fan pages.

I saw an airing of "Boy Toy" around January 2004, and discovered Vicky's "creepy" little sister. She's obviously got it bad for Timmy, but I found her crush cute, and at the end, I adored the moment where she blasted Timmy with the water balloon. It just went to show that while she loves him with every fiber of her body, she's not a pushover.

In "Kung Timmy" (a basis for a story I plan to write), she shows her "stalker" side (how in the hell did she obtain those gadgets?). Near the end, though, she does what his parents don't even bother to do- believe in him. Without her, Timmy would've lost his goldfish (Cosmo and Wanda), and the Turners would've been homeless.

Around that time, I began searching for fan fiction on FOP, where I made friends with a few authors (one of them I still talk with to this day), and we discussed Trixie Tang, Tootie, and who was right for Timmy. For the most part, we agreed that Tootie was best. She was true to her feelings, and while she may be obnoxious, obsessive and generally unattractive, she loved him unconditionally. The more Timmy/Tootie fan fiction I read, my respect for Tootie swelled. Fics like soulful-sin's "The Other Saga" epic and BratChild-2's "Tootie's Wish" put Tootie in a positive light that may never be seen on the actual show.

The summer of that year, I think there was a point where I believed that Tootie's crush on Timmy was silly and that she could do better. It could have been from a drought of Timmy/Tootie fan fiction or a collective disdain of FOP fans who didn't like her- I can't recall exactly. Ever since then, it's caused my respect for Timmy to range from "Misguided but Nice Kid" to "Total Fucking Jerk," depending on my mood and the atmosphere of the FOP community and its opinions of Timmy when Tootie's involved. It fluctuates a lot, even to this day.

With the show's apparent deterioration of quality, there has been speculation (mainly by Timmy/Trixie fans) that the writers have become pro-Tootie and anti-Trixie, which I disagree highly with. All the characters were treated the same way- terribly. Not only did it hurt the fandom, it killed any chance of Tootie getting more depth into her. Sure, they cover Crocker's origins (very good episode), why Vicky is so mean (not-so-good) and why Trixie treats Timmy the way she does (decent episodes), no additional info was given on Tootie. I don't see that as fair, as Tootie (as the devious, if easily recognizable Deep Toot) was great in "Channel Chasers."

After months of waiting for a good Tootie episode and being ultimately disappointed, I stopped watching FOP and tried envisioning her in my own light. My views differed largely from others, due to my lack of humor, and my frustration with the general consensus of FOP that Tootie is a weak, pathetic stalker who deserves pity. Luckily, I've met with a handful of people that disagree with that logic over the years, cementing my continued support for her.

She's not as bold as Cindy Vortex, nor is she evil like Mandy, nor can she kick ass like Juniper Lee, nor is she overly brainy like Phoebe Heyerdahl. Of course, she's not pretty, either (though the future may tell a different story). Despite not having a relatively positive trait that stands out, I still think she's one of the best concepts ever drawn out. She's caring, honest, and modest- something that can not be said for many of today's leading toon females.

Okay, I hope I haven't bored you too much. However, I really hope that I can start a few discussions on this, especially from those who may not like Tootie as much as I do. *sigh* I don't wanna look like a pathetic man whom no one understands, you know.
