[OH NO, MORE COMPLAINING! COVER YOUR EARS!]

Thus begins another long, run-on paragraph in BlutigWolf's journal! Well, I've had a nice few weeks off now...but I'm still tired. And a little bored. The boredom problem will be fixed quite soon though, because I start my summer class tomorrow! *gasp* Yes, I, valedictorian of my highschool class, must go to summer school to reattempt a course I had to ditch in order to avoid failing miserably. That really hurt my pride, you know, but it made me realize that just about everyone will eventually encounter something they just can't handle - not easily, anyway, or without help. So what's this nightmare course of mine, you ask? Differential Equations, or "DiffEQ" to all us math geeks. It's odd that after acing three courses of Calculus without breaking a sweat...well, with minimal difficulty, anyway, I would be stopped dead in my tracks by the next logical step in math theory. Luckily, I'll be able to focus all my attention on this one course this summer, so having the extra time to devote to it should help. I still regret having to take it, though, because that prevented me from participating in the Rangers spring expedition (a 10-day wilderness backpacking/hiking trip), and I won't be able to take a job this summer either. That means I have to really kick it next summer (the last summer break of my life) if I want to get some job experience in the mechanical engineering field. Then again, I may decide to go for another two years of college to study biomedical engineering, because designing prosthetics really sounds good to me. Bet you all didn't know that!

Time to make another paragraph, at the risk of creating another huge, ugly block of print. - Anyway, I know I haven't shown any sign of art progress since the beginning of summer, but I've actually been quite busy creating several new Lego models, the photographs of which should be up here within a few days. So I haven't been just wasting my time after all! Also, you'll probably finally get to see my Battletech persona. The drawing's not a terribly good one, but you should get a good idea of what he (or I) looks like. I also plan to finally create a DeviantID sometime this summer. I have no ideas for one yet, but it seems like a good thing to do. I hope you all have a great summer, and I hope my complaining didn't hurt you any!

I have a little bad news to share with you all as well. I may have already mentioned that my favorite photographer left DA recently, but today I found out another artist on my watch list is planning to leave. So, if you happen to know him, head over and say goodbye to if he's not gone already. He said he has issues with some of the rules on DA and was getting a lot of hassle from the mods and a few other users. He is now planning to display his artwork on freewebz or some such thing, so hopefully we'll still get to see new stuff.

I also want to give a celebratory note here, since this time is very important. Easter was yesterday! If you haven't already done so, take a few moments to reflect about what the holiday really means. Since the resurrection of Christ two thousand years ago, we are all able to enjoy the life and redemption He so abundantly provides year-round. Happy Easter y'all!

On a positive note, In half an hour I'm being interviewed by Baker-Hughes for a possible summer internship learning mechanical design. At least I'll have something productive to do this summer if I make it in. Last summer was a pathetic waste for me, just sitting on my duff and doing nothing. I got quite bored. >_<

Alright, so I also wanted to apologize for my lack of feedback on everyone's messages and works and not even dropping a hint as to my situation until now. At least now you know what's going on. I promise I'll start sorting through those messages as soon as I catch a break from school. Until then, hope you're all doing well. And if I have a burst of creativity in my spare time, I might upload a couple of five-minute doodles or something. I'm sure a few of you are hungry for some new work to look at.

UPDATE: My favorite photographer, , announced today that he is leaving DA. Please wish him a goodbye and take a look at his work while you can. I don't think he'll be removing his gallery, but it's going to be sad not having him around to talk to. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. I hope he will do well whatever he decides to do from here on.

Still, I have a couple weeks before college starts up again, and I have a list of interesting ideas I would like to try out when I start making art again. We're getting into the deepest part of the winter now; hope you all enjoy it, or at least stay warm! I'm in a good mood today, so I'll feature a few artists who I think deserve more attention; check them out!
First of all, my sis and her friend and my good friend Give them some support!
Also must see: a great conceptual artist I just discovered today, a great anthro artist, and for awesome sci-fi work, and for amazing photographs, a BattleTech fan who's great with LEGO, and if you're into Godzilla, but he's a great artist anyway! And just because!
also has a few interesting LEGO models, and is an outdoorsman who sometimes brings back some nice shots. Finally, is a Bionicle fan who has some interesting drawings. Don't pass up these artists!
I hope I haven't forgotten anyone...but if you see an artist who's generally being ignored, give them some support! And drop me a hint if you think there's an artist worth seeing, ok?
