I obviously have an exciting life.

I am now a certified Drow in my D & D game, for which I am very proud of. I worked hard watching other people make my character for me. An' Imma gonna be a big scary necromancer!

Is this really boring? Because I'm actually having fun.

So, after a week of constantly re-reading my entire manga collection, I have returned to the cyber world once again. Thanks goodness! I swear I've caught myself staring at the dark, blank, foreboding screen for long minutes, walked away, and later having no recollection of the incident whatsoever.

Anyway! I don't live in Winnepeg. Never have, never will. And yet, every year a major convention takes place called Ai-kon. Heard of it? Now who can guess where I'm going to visit some friends next week? DING! *twitch* But here's the kicker. *twitch, twitch* I'm arriving the day after. Yup, that's right! *Insert manical laughter here* I think I passed out when I compared the date of the con and the date of my departure... Meh... Good news is that I'm going to a Fan Expo at the end of August and every guest there, I know. I already have all my manga/anime/video games/posters planned for them to sign. It won't be as big as Ai-Kon but, but, but...*cries* Gracious, I sound like a spoiled child.

Btw, for those who love/like yaoi, watch Gravitation. I just finished it last last night (morning) and it's so juicy, mmm'yesh.

He's a Catholic and even holds church sessions at anime cons when he can. Just the way he talks...his voice is so compassionate, and he's really funny too. Anyway, I'm just so glad we got to see him talk.

AN (and other major cons, of course) is probably one of the most welcoming places ever. No one gets judged by race, or other disabilities because everyone has something in common: the love of anime and manga. Hugs were given constantly and I was surprised that people were so nice! I'm really happy I was recognised enough to get hugs and "Demyx" and his friend even said I had the best Larxene cosplay he's seen! Plus, some guy randomly came up to us in a restaurant, we started chatting, and now my friend and I have him on facebook.

Geez...I'm looking through my pictures now, and I must have taken 100 at least. Some of the costumes were so well designed and many people made them by hand. One young woman even made and enormous sword out of plywood. I'll definitely post pictures when I figure out how to...hehe. For now I'll let you imagine my Axel plushie sitting beside my new Light Yagami one! ^^

The building is huge and fancy, plus the tickets are really expensive so I hope the "exhibits" will be worth it. WHAT AM I SAYING??!! Of course they will be! Omgomgomgomgomg breathe...

The first day was so eventful I couldn't even believe how fast it went by. After an hour of us being there, we (were forced to) army crawl through mustard, ketchup and flour, have pudding flung at us and balance soaking wet sponges on our heads. What a relay... >.<

Various workshops filled the rest of the time. Trust and cooperative games were played, followed by a fun acting/improv game, which I personally adore. Next our group talked about the perfections and mistakes of life while we wrote quotes on the back of t-shirts with fabric paint. The last workshop was really gut-wrenching and emotional. We were in a circle and went around in order each starting off with "if you knew me, you would know..." and then follow up with something you probably wouldn't tell anyone else. It got really intense and everyone else was crying, along with some of the guys, which I thought was sweet. It was strange though, because my problems were so insignificant compared to others. People take their life for granted and participating in that workshop showed me obstacles in life that are just outrageous. Even though my folks are going through a divorce, some kids there go through death, drug/alcohol abuse and even physical abuse on a regular basis. Geez...

On a happier note!! The food there was drop dead awesome. The breakfast today was all sugary pastries and there was a roast beef dinner on Sunday. Crazy good stuff!

It was amazing how different the two bus rides were from each other. The first, we were all uncomfortable because we hardly knew each other. But after just four days we were all the best of friends, laughing, talking and living together in the awesome campground. The second bus ride was full of cheers and smiles...fuzzy stuff like that. I swear I'll never in my life forget our team's cheer. "We're Yellow, we know it, we're champions and we show it! *insert graphic hip thrust + grunt* Oh yeah...leadership does many strange and wonderful things to the mind. Yes it does, yes it does.

My Mom and I originally planned to go there and ski the whole time, but after it practically monsooned right before we arrived...we decided to annoy the American chashiers with our lack of knowledge about foreign currency instead.

We managed to fill our days up with gondola rides, hikes, sightseeing, and shopping. It was awesome!! Not to mention the hotel was the best I've ever been in. We had a beautiful view of the Adirondack Mountains and a really big, frozen lake.

O. M. G. No wut? Over the past couple of years, I've realized how Tim Hortons'd out I've become after a long period of time with nothing but for coffee. Wail no wut????!!! Amid the cutsie little shops and cutsie little bakeries (giant eclairs ) sat a cutsie little STARBUCKS in front of an amazing bookstore. Creative coffe + bookstore = win. *sigh* I wanna Grande Chai Latte....hehe, I capitalized it.

Yup...so I'm back now to enjoy one last day of break before school again. >.>

I've just finished the last volume of our beloved Death Note and is it ever different from the anime! There are some key aspects that I want to compare the two endings.

For one, the manga made Near's plan so much less confusing, detailing that it was Mikami's mistake that eventually led to Light's downfall. I actually didn't know exactly why Near won when I watched the anime, so I'm glad I know now.

I find it very interesting that Ryuk wrote down Light's name in front of everyone else in the manga instead of him escaping and eventually coming to rest on the stairs in the anime. I somehow liked this particular part in the anime better because it showed the drastic change between Light when he first found the Death Note and Kira on his deathbed. Also the "spirit" of L made an appearance in the anime, and not the manga.

Also the little things too, which the author/artist made more clear in the manga such as: 1) The one minute time difference of Mikami and Light both writing Takada's name down. 2) As Light desparately tried to write Near's name on his scrap of paper, it showed that Near was one letter away from being killed...I'm not quite sure if this was on the anime but... 3) As it became apparent that Light was not going to get away with his plan, even Mikami turned on his God by calling him scum instead of in the anime stabbing himself with a pen.

To this day I'm still not sure how he managed to do that...

But the best thing I liked about the ending was the last couple pages.

A congregation of robed figures bearing soflty glowing candles slowly made their way up a weather beaten path on the side of a mountain. With faces shadowed, hundreds of these docile people knelt as one, setting each candle on the ground at their feet. All but one. The white robes clung to her slender body as she gazed up into the heavens. After a long silence, she too placed her candle on the gound and began to pray. All hail Lord Kira.

How lame...I felt like it and it really moved me! Anyway, the woman at the end...was that Misa? I'm just not so sure. Hehe...
Being an avid Kira supporter, I'm so glad that was the ending scene. The fact that there were still so many people who believed in him after a year of no sign...well if I was in the manga, I would be right there with them.

After another 365 days gone by in a flash, I will see the return of my Birthday tomorrow. I'm very excited despite the fact that I am getting older. My birthday happens to be the day after exams, which means no school! A couple of my close friends are coming over and I'm hoping it'll be a nice day. Oh and with some money I received from my Grandma, I went to a beautiful art supply store and bought myself some copics, blendable pencil crayons, pastels, a #8 pencil, charcoal and a nice pile of sketchpaper. Very nice things, I'm so happy experimenting with them. The only problem is...well I don't like saying "can't," but I can't really draw very well. But I've been tracing and practicing now I have the proper supplies!

So I wish you all a good day tomorrow...on to Fruits Basket! X3 Oh crap...the mood changer isn't working. I'm very happy, just the opposite of gloomy!

1. Even though I've seen the anime, I bought the first volume of the one and only D. N. Angel! Yukiru does such a good job on making the characters extra cute and snuggly and even the plot is sweet. :3 O. M. G. I. LOVE. SATODAI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are so many juicy scenes between the two of them...*lost in thought* But he has the Harada sisters confusing him at the moment! So which one shall he choose? LOL I already know.

2. After many discusions on how I've not read it yet, I received the first 2 volumes of Nana by Ai Yazawa. It's so kinky!! Yet awesome at the same time. I personally like Nana Osaki better, buuuuut that's probably just because she's more like me...although I love Souji better than Ren...It's good. Read it. That is all.

3. I've been trying to find the episodes of this particular anime for ages because it's pretty popular. After failing miserably I decided to get the first volume of Loveless. Beforehand I was kind of skeptical about it...I mean come on... Kids with cat ears and a name like Loveless; probably a cheesy romance. BUT NO!! It-it's
THAT k-k-k-kind of romance????!!!! H-H-HAWT!! I want moar...

4. And of course...who could forget our Death Note? Just one problem. (fake smile) THE TWO VOLUMES I NEED WEREN'T THERE! WHAT IS THIS? Grr...It's not that big of a deal, but I really wanted to read them. *sigh* Next time I guess!

All the others I want have even been English-ified yet. Must hurry up and learn Japanese! But I now have many novel-ish bookies to keep me busy for a while, so that's good.

But then again I'm mad now because I don't have time to read them to the heaping of exams and studying this week. You wouldn't think teachers would teach a whole unit 5 days before exams...I have a whole slideshow on Mercury to do tonight, but that's okay because I live for astronomy. J'ai un projet sur le Clonage en francais...tres manifique. J'ai aime (avec un accente goue...encore...XD) francais quand mes professures sont sympa. Mais non!

1. First and foremost...Christmas! I mean honestly, who isn't excited? I'm in such a jolly mood right now it isn't even funny... Well yeah it is!

2. After several shipping failures, credit card errors and the horrendous wait...I have received.......................................................KH:ReCoM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SQUEEEEEEEE!!! *slight spoilers ahead* Okay, so! I've played it long enough to hear 3 new voices. Marluxia, Vexen and Larxene. Marly's vioce is kind of slow and sounds soooo hawt! He hasn't taken his hood off though! Vexen's voice is so hilarius!! He's sounds like such an old man! He is, but seriously...so funny! He says "expreriment" like: "expeereement!!" Rolflollawlzomg!!! And last but not least, Larxene. In my opinion, they couldn't have picked a better voice for her! She has a medium pitched drawl which can be very sarcastic at times! I find it perfect! I think the game is relatively easy with a few minor setbacks, nothing too troublesome! But, alas...I've reached the part of the game where Sora fights the character I hate to fight the most...Riku. I don't know why, but I always have so much trouble fighting him and using cards makes it even worse, because they run out! But it's still really, really fun and I love it very much!

3. My mom and I are huge, massive, mega, crazy, maniacal fans of Lost! And guess what just came out yesterday on DVD??????!!!!! The 4th season!!!! So happy! We've already watched 4 episodes and we're loving it! It's so confusing though! There are so many characters and each episode can only focus on one at a time right? So when something juicy happens in the future of one of the characters, you almost forget about it by the time their turn comes again! Oh well...that's the joy of suspense!! Who here is a Sawyer fan? Cause I beat you all with my fan-powerage to Sawyer!!

4. And of course other little things such as new manga/anime releases, good grades in school, happy timez with friends, so on and so forth!

5. In about half an hour I will be travelling to my first ever anime convention! There's only one con in Canada every 6 or 7 months so I think I'm incredibly lucky since I only found out about this con 3 weeks ago! So I'm going with one of my best friends to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre for a few hours. And guess who's going to be there???!!! BRAD SWAILE! The guy who voices Light Yagami from Death Note! In Canada! That goes beyond awesome!

Wow, wow wow wow! I was literally speechless when the concert ended, it was that good. She sang almost all of my favourite songs and her and her band/backup singers -The Bloody Crumpets- did a lot of theatrics in between each song and they were absolutley hilarius! All of them were awesome at improvisation, so everything went smoothly and the whole audience, including myself were really into it!

EA is also an absolutely outstanding violin player! Near the end of the concert she played an electric violin solo for about 5 minutes straight! I play the violin too and I know for sure that what she played could not have been put on paper, it was so complex and unique. So basically it was maybe a couple of parts from different songs and she put it together in her head and played around with it. And the outcome was fabulous! My jaw was down to the ground by the time she finished, I was so stunned!

EA is so talented, it's unbelievable! She has an amazing singing voice off studio, she can play the electric violin, she has an awesome sense of Victorian style, she's beautiful too, etc ,etc...I just loved seeing her perform, and I think it's incredibly lucky that she happened to perform an hour and a half away from where I live!!

Yeah, so basically I'm thrilled that I got to see her and I thought I'd write a journal about it!

Sometime I'm sure I'll get around to listing the clubs I'm in, but seeing as it's two in the morning....no! ^^

ANYWAY, the ending was so bitter-sweet. I have to watch the FMA movie now to see what could possibly happen to reunite Ed with everyone alse. I would never have imagined that London was behind the gate...

I've heard that the manga is better than the anime, is that true? Should I read it? I want to but it has to be long, at least 20 volumes right? I just want to know if it's worth it...

SO! Amazing, awesome anime! Those who haven't seen it, WATCH IT! You won't regret it!

**SPOILERS** My favourite part has to be at the atom bomb testing site. Hehehe HeHeHeHeHe HEHEHEHE HAHAHAHAH! Wow *wipes away tear* but of coures it's Indie so anything's possible right?? And I loved how they brought back the original actress from the first movie That was cool!

And I fount out that the krystal skulls are actually based on a true story/myth/thingie. In South America therre are said to be 13 lost crystal skulls that have to be brought back to this ancient Mayan place...which is cool **END SPOILERS**

Anyway if you haven't seen the movie you should because you won't be disappointed and for the people who saw it, wasn't it great!!?? I thought it was. So this is the end of my little Indiana Jones rant and it was fun!
