For example; A week and a half into the course I got my first real assignment for the course. To make a 2-D game with at least 3 levels and interesting content. ME, a programming analphabeth. This course doesn't f*ck around, huh?

It's been two weeks now, and actually, it's been going quite well. The program we use is actually a quite simple editor of sorts, and right now, while my partner is wdoing level-design, I'm working on the gameart for the future space-shooter classic SUPER DUPER MEGA METEORITE WARS.
I'm really proud to have thought of such a serious-sounding name.

I might post some of the gameart and maybe some screenshots with some BFL's (BigFookinLaz0rz) in the future if all goes well, and you might expect some during-class doodles to make their way over here as well.

Let's just say that it's family matters, or what's left of the family at this point, and I've been busy trying to keep whats left together to say the least.

Anyway! I was off to the zoo today, and took the opportunity to work on my phobia of spiders. This consisted of having big-ass as-big-as-your-fucking-palm spiders climb around on me at the petting zoo.
It was pretty fun, actually, but the fact that they weren't lethaly poisonous kinda helped. XD
Also; monkeys really don't care where they take a leak, or that it stinks like hell. What the hell is up with that?

But now for the most important bit; I've started to translate the first chapter of my comic Samurai o'Clock (So'C).
I started working on it in the summer of 2006 and it was finished in 2007. It's 42 pages long, sans the cover, and depicts the young fishgutter Koiko's first unwilling steps into the world of heroism.
Those who've hung around here for a while should be somewhat familiar with the characters and general idea of the story, but here's the question I want to ask you: DO YOU GUYS REALLY WANT TO SEE THIS?

As I said before, this comic is a couple of years old, and the art is lacking in some departments, but I still consider it to have some charm.
I've translated 16 pages by now, and I'm wondering if any of you are interested enough to want to see it, or if you'd think that it'd just be a waste of digital, nonexistant space.
PLEASE leave a comment or note with your opinion, even if it's meanspirited and would be considered downright EVIL. It feels like I really need to know by now.

So.
I was in a 5 kilometer footrace yesterday, and they had these cameras filming you at the goal.

I'm the weirdo in black jacket and white t-shirt, with pilotshades on the head that runs like Goofy, BTW, just so you know.

I finished at 28:24, which is quite dissapointing from my point of view (finished the same distance at 26:20 at another track), but I guess it was partly because I didn't know the track, and there was always people in the way.

Also, there was a friggan roadblock in the way! Maybe you were supposed to run around it, but I leapt over it instead. Maybe that wasn't the most clever thing, stamina-wise.

So anyway, keep running!

Been a while, huh?

First off, about the parrotegg business.
Maya laid 7 eggs over the course of 2 weeks.
None of them contained anything. We think she just started laying eggs because she felt lonely.
We removed them this monday, and since then, she's been... Clingy. To the extent a small parrot can be.
She never wants to be alone, and keeps calling for us as soon as we're away. It's kinda hard to leave for work in the mornings. She really misses her Jacko... As do I.

Also, I haven't uploaded anything in a while now.
I HAVE been drawing, but never really finished anything yet. I've been juggling 3-4 pics, work, and feeling like someone wailed me upside the head with a sledgehammer wrapped in chloroform-soaked rags due to pollen.

He still ate, drank and played with me and everyone else in the family. I just thought he had caught a cold or something.
But then, yesterday morning, I wake up and find that he had puked all over himself, and that he was no longer willing to eat nor drink.
It just got worse over the day, as he gradually lost control over his legs, and couldn't stand up anymore. He stayed tucked in my sweater for most of the day, to keep him warm. We even forcefed him and made him drink, but nothing stayed down for longer than a minute or two.
We had looked up the symptoms, and it seemed like he had metal poisoning.
The most important thing was to keep him warm and make him eat and drink until you could get the antidote for it.
We were going to go to the vet first thing this morning. We had tucked him down among warm blankets, and put a lamp on next to it to keep it warm.
I went to sleep hoping that he could make it.

Then I woke up.
I found him in the corner of the cage, dead. He had crawled out of the blankets, using only his beak and neck, and then died.
I don't think I've cried this much since my grandma died when I was around nine years old.
I know how it sounds for a 21-year old man to cry over a pet, but he was my FRIEND.
We always hung out with each other, listening to music and chatting, sharing a snack or two, or just cuddling and grooming.
He was always there to make me feel better when I was angry or sad, and I always stuck up for him when my dad was angry with him or he was harrassed by his roomie, Maya.
He left a deep mark in me, and now he's gone forever.

It's just so sad. He was 4 years and a couple of months. Most parrots of his spiecies lives to see 10 or 12.
Why did he have to die only a third into that?!
I know that all things die off eventually, but it just breaks me sometimes.

So here's to you, Jacko.
I love you very, very much.
And I'm going to miss you as long as I live.

We have now had Jackos funeral.
His coffin was a small box that was originally used to store a couple of One Piece figurines that I had bought. He was wrapped in a piece of soft towel, and had with him some of his most priced possesions. A dice from our Yatzee set. He KNEW how important they were, since we all fiddled with them and didn't want him to play with them as well, so of course he HAD to have them... He also got half a bag of honey pearls, his favorite snack, in his little coffin.
We buried him in the garden, bethween our cherry trees. To mark his grave we put a couple of Rocks, and planted some flowers around it.
My dad held a little speech about him, about what kind of a big little person he was. He was basicly all the seven deadly sins bundled up into something not wicked (ok, a little), but lovely. He's biting angels now, and I hope that he'll find his peace.

Meanwhile, Jackos roomie/girlfriend (they both had very different views on that. Maya has been depressed and sad, not willing to leave the cage.
She has always been a bird with a flock mentality. That flock has essentially been only Jacko, and without him, she seems to have felt lost in everything. I've spent the day trying to comfort her and keep her companybut she has mostly wanted to stay in the cage.
We were all a bit worried about her, until she, just an hour ago, suprized us all by laying an egg!
The chances of the egg eventually containing anything is slim, since Jacko and Maya were two different subspiecies (Agapornis Personata and Agapornis Rosalia) but not nonexistant, since it's recently been proved that the two actually CAN breed.
We are going to let her keep the egg for a while, since even if there isn't anything in there, we all think that Maya needs to have something to find comfort in, and that taking care of the last thing left by her beloved little partner would be what she needs to do.

But my hope is, that against all odds, I will see Jackos children emerge soon.

A lot has happend in one day for me, and I will now try to get some sleep and try to live through to tomorrow. Thank you all for your kind notes and comments!

As all of you don't know, because I never got around to telling you, I've been working as a daycare substitute teacher since febuary.
YES. I've been taking care of t3h b3bb3s, and about a month ago, I got offered a steady gig until next year. Of course I jumped on the opportunity, because I has a need for teh moonies.

So that's reason no. 1 to why I haven't done much around here.

So reason no. 2...?

Well, I started taking an evening class at Berghs school of information, a drawing course, ironically.
So why hasn't that stuff made it up here? (DAMNIT, YOU IN THE BACK, TAKE DOWN THAT SIGN SAYING "WE DON'T C..." Oh wait... You're not him... Wait... HOW MANY IN HERE HAS SIGNS LIKE THAT? WHAT?! THAT MANY?!)
Well, I draw on A3 papers (they're big), and I can't be assed to photograping it all, plus that our homework is speeddrawing (mostly, you only get 2 minutes to finish a picture) so it's not really worthy to put up here... (What? My most viewed and favved picture took me 20 minutes? Uh... Well... SHUT UP.)
It's really fun, but keeps me busy.

Incidentally, I thought that I'd be able to squeeze in a pic this weekend, but GUESS WHAT.

Thats why I came home this friday with a 39 degree fever (thats Celsious, ya damn yanks... It's a lot.) and a throat that asks me if I've swallowed razors.

Also, there was an earthquake in the middle of the night. A 6,5'er on the richter scale.

Ok, so...Internets been bad here, so e called in a tech guy to fix the wireless, right? FUCKING PROBLEM IS THAT I LEFT SOMEONE ELSE TO DO IT!
The fucking miss-bred bastard convinced my mom (who apparently believes ANYTHING someone with a title tells her) that my computer needed fixing. So he takes it in. Ok. THEN he convinces her that they need to change my entire computer, but "He'll transfer everything important to the new computer".
WELL, guess what?
When we get the computer the fucking moron've transfered anything BUT the important stuff! Over 2000 mp3's? GONE. AT LEAST 4 years worth of my artwork? GONE. WRITING, important documents, emulators, etc... ALL FUCKING GONE! HE found it more important to bring over friggin JUNK from a folder I've never used in my entire life!
Now, the artwork I can deal with, since this pretty much is my backup warehouse for that, but there were several unfinished pieces that didn't make it up here.
The real problem is THE FUCKING MUSIC. 2000 songs?! HOW will I get that back?!
... AND GUESS WHAT?! THE INTERNET IS EVEN WORSE THAN IT WAS BEFORE! I can't even use my 'new computer' for THAT!

Hahahah.... XD;;; It started pouring friggin rhinos (instead of cats and dogs, they ran out pretty quickly) this afternoon, so the kiddies had to STAY INSIDE. YEAH. About 35 kids aged 1-6, having to stay inside. Doesn't sound too bad to you? REALLY?
It's like the apocalypse! But without anyone being taken up to heaven.
NO. They're all going to hell.
And hell is filled to the brim with Hyperactive kids. Some of which are annoying six-year-old gangstergirls who keeps hitting you and asks disturbing questions.

I FINALLY FINISHED THE FIRST CHAPTER OF SAMURAI O'CLOCK! 8D (wow, that only took... over a year or two. Well, y'see, the reason to why it took so damn long was that I, in the middle of things, started having doubts about the whole thing, as to how I wanted it to be, how the characters were supposed to be, what was going to happen, ect... Therefore I took a gigantic hiatus from So'C, but now the first chapter is seriously done!
Its 43 pages long, and I've scanned everything in, and will start the translation of it soon, and soon after this it might be possible that you can buy/win/get a digital version of the first chapter!
This also means that I'll be taking down the So'C pages that I've put up here, but I might put up a coupla colored previewpages instead.

Also, Friday is still by 20th birthday, and also the day when I can start to buy booze legally from stores. (I've been able to buy booze legaly from bars for two years, but our legal system is weird.)

4. Okay, so giant OC olympic event. Who would win what events?
Hahahahaha... >D If you just stuck something scary/dangerous behind Koiko, he'd probably win any running thing. XD And swimming. XD (chuckles at mental images o' him running ontop of water X3) Of course, if he had to do several laps over the pool, and the scary thing still was on the same side, he'd definately fail. XD
Huhu... X3 Old man Cabra would totaly RULE the iceskating/figureskating ring. XD
... Any of those strenght competitions like throwing heavy balls and stuff like that would probably be a tight fit bethween Bamboo and Oso. XD; And maybe Mr. 1ton. XD; Though he'd probably loose. X3;
o'Clock could do good at one of those things... whatever theyre called... where you do 7 or 10 different things and then count together the overall score... XD

EVERYONE. XD For beating up judges and each other. XD Koiko for not stopping when he's won and starting to run into/interfering with other events. XD
Bamboo for getting pissed off and beating someone into the ground. X3 ... And DEFINATELY for hitting someone with the hammer in the hammerthrow. XD
Old man Cabra for intimidating and scaring the shit outta all the judges... XD
