I'm updating this journal, because, well, my last entry was last August and that was bothering me. (Although, after reading it, I realized that still, eleven months later, I have yet to do any more work on the Brigadier's funeral.)

Um . . . Well, I've got a couple things I'd post, but they're too big to scan, so I've gotta get around to taking photos.

I have a couple things I'm thinking of drawing, most of it fanart:
-A LoM/DW crossover involved the good old shove-the-Master-in-the-trunk routine (Long story . . . But there are people who know it.)
-Roy Harper (aka Speedy/Arsenal/Red Arrow . . . And because I find him attractive. Also because I've already started it.)
-Various advetures involving Matter-Eater Lad teaming up with Robin (and fighting a fungus monster, or taking the Batmobile out for a joyride, or . . . Yeah. I've also already started the fungus monster one. But that's a three-parter, so I'll see how it goes.)
-Jay and/or Silent Bob (Because . . . Well, Chaya gave me comics. They rekindled my love for the duo.)
-RayK, because I still owe someone that
-Impulse (Because Chaya put the idea in my head and now it won't leave)

. . . Okay, so all of it fanart. But I'm cool with that.

Yes, Sherlock actually DID say that to Watson . . . A fact I find more amusing than I probably should.

Anyway, now that I've done Naked Celery, I figure I'm going to update my to-do list, art-wise. Mostly for my own personal reference.

-Bill/Twins for Justine (Lost the one I was doing. Still looking for it.)
-Ray the Angry Clown for Emily (Coming along very nicely. Should be done by Sunday.)
-The Brigadier's Funeral (Still no further on that one. Mostly because I can't draw Colin Baker.)
-Something Sherlockian (Because, for serious, Sherlock Holmes was my first love and I haven't done anything for him and Watson lately. And they deserve it, because, well, lest I wax poetic--They are intricately dysfunctional people who deserve some justice done to their recently-turned-to-flat-cardboard-cutout personalities. I recommend this essay: [link] Also, for the facts about the genesis of Holmes as a ficticious character and how to play the much more preferable Game: [link] . . . Seriously, I need to write my essay sometime. Instead of just going off and babbling when I'm trying to make a list of artwork I want/need to do. At any rate, I need to champion in defence of Watson's intelligence at some point.)
-Asmodeus and Ouroboros (A page or two of comic book would be nice.)
-Something from "The Armageddon Rag" (Another novel that SERIOUSLY needs some more recognition.)

In other news, I have a coatstand I need to prettify. The only problem is how exactly I want to do that. I'm thinking some sort of paint/decoupage deal, but colors/themes elude me.

Well . . . I need to find time do art. (Basically, time that isn't after everyone else is asleep and I'm fighting to stay awake myself.)

Because, basically, I owe the world a lot of arts:

-Bill and the twins for Justine (which is almost done in terms of pencil sketching, but still needs to be inked and colored)
-The funeral for anyone who likes Doctor Who (I've gotten about, er, 6/13's done with the preliminary sketch and it still needs to be inked . . . and I started it in May)
-That Mickey-and-Jake-in-Paris-on-a-thing-like-a-Vespa that I randomly really want to draw but haven't started yet
-Ray the Angry Clown for Emily . . . (RayK from "due South" as an angry clown, a la the fanfic "Juggling Act" . . . I started that one for her in frickin' SEPTEMBER, for Bog's sake!!)
-Naked Celery (OMG, I REALLY WANT TO START THIS! FIVE IN EYELINER! ADRIC THE CATHOLIC SCHOOLGIRL! NYSSA ON HER TAMBOURINE! TURLOUGH IN HIS . . . Er . . . NECKTIE! . . . Ahem. Yes. All so very exciting. And another drawing I can pretend to blame on Emily.)
-other things, like some "Separate Peace" fanart, something with Queenie and Jethro, and some more art from the world of Dana and Desperaux

My scanner does not work, so I am sad. I had a drawing to scan. I have large amounts of schoolwork this week as well, so I won't have time to do all the drawing I really want to do. I mean, REALLY want to do . . . Kind of makes me miss Ap Art, where I could do almost whatever I wanted and claim it had a purpose. (And it usually rather did. Or I was experimenting. Or whatever.)

Ugh. I want to put on The Young Ones, lie on my bed, and draw something "cool." Like, I don't know, slash. But instead, I will read "One Hundred Years of Solitude." (Ugh ugh ugh.) I am listening to The Beatles' "Let It Be," which generally means that I want to give up on following through with responsibility . . . But I will try not to.
