I've been thinking a lot more about trying to start selling art at cons. I want to start with smaller cons and work my way up (ultimately my goal is to be able to sell at a relatively big con like otakon, but I don't really see that happening any time soon, not even any time in the next few years because honestly I improve slowly and I still think I suck =/) So I've been drawing a lot of fan art in the little free time that I have to try to not only improve (doing so much art for school has made my anime style a little rusty) but to generate ideas. I've mostly been drawing busty ladies cuz...well, sex sells. But don't worry I'll get to drawing some sexy dudes soon I wouldn't say I've been to a lot of cons, but I've been to enough to know what people are looking for. I'd say people typically look for:

-sexy ladies/men
-romance (mostly yaoi XD)
-humor/comics
-chibis/cute things

But that's just basic things, so if anyone has any suggestions of what else might be good to offer I'd love to hear it.

I'm still not completely sure if I'm ready to make this endeavour yet...well of course not because I don't really have anything that would be ready to be made into prints yet, but when I do I don't want to put so much work into it and not end up selling. So I want honest opinions here on if it'd be a good idea to start soon or maybe wait a year or two to try to improve more. If I do decide to start soon I'd probably try for ANext or if that doesn't work out then next Zenkaikon (since those are the closest small cons that I know of) If not I'll still probably try for those cons but I'll wait until after 2010.

Also, I hear sharing tables is a good idea since it cuts costs and also I wouldn't want to sell alone ;3; so if anyone is also interested in selling and would want to share a table with me I'd totally be up for that 8D
