I will be steadily uploading a relatively brief (on my standards, though) Hetalia AU fic for the holidays, titled "A Christmas Carroll".

This fic is by no means a work of fiction. In it, I will be chonicalling the epic, epic failure of my high school's acting class last Christmas, when we attempted to put on a play of Dickens' A Christmas Carroll. This fic, other than the Hetalia characters being inserted, (and any bonus fluff with pairings that I throw in), will be at least 99% non-fiction, true, cold hard facts, only deviating where I don't quite remember what happened. (Repression, anyone?) It really writes itself, because this play played out like a bad fanfiction anyways.

So this year, I got the awful awesome idea to try to make tree-topper Britannia Angel from Hetalia. I know they make the heads with short blonde hair, so I was dead-set on doing it. But I couldn't find the heads ANYWHERE! People in Florida just don't craft like they did in the northwest. You can only buy the premade angels! So I figured I'd just MAKE a head and all, since I needed a male torso on it anyways. So I made the head, arm, and torso, and he looks REALLY GOOD consitering how much I suck at clay, and I was all ready to bake it, (LOL make-and-bake sculpey clay) when I realized that you cook the poor thing based on how thick it is, and he's different thicknesses at different points... and if you overcook the cheap crap, it turns into black dust... (As I've found out from prior experiance with some moogles in the toaster oven...)

Yes. I have just doomed poor England to the same fate as everything HE'S ever tried to cook. .__. IT'S THE CIIIIIIRCLE OF LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFE!!!!!!!!!!

I have an original manga [well, okay, a lot really~~] that I'd love to draw and maybe even get published someday, but for all I know, I may really suck at drawing actual manga! [hint: I do. XD]

So what better way to see if I have what it takes than to try writing a doujinshi! It's much shorter than a real manga, but if I can pull it off, maybe I'll be ready to start on a real one! :3

For once, I'm not just shitting you guys, I swear, I've already drawn three pages... I'll probably finish the first chapter sketches tonight! ^^

It's Hetalia, [suprise!] but I'm doing something different with it. Ever since I started reading this series, I've failed to understand 90% of the complaints about it. I mean, they don't even mention any of the issues of the war, for Jashiin's sake. Have some of these people even read the Wiki, much less the series? .__. I'm spending the summer at my dad's place in Oregon, which means that the nice photo-quality scanner I use is 3000 miles away until the middle of July. Long story short, I'm gonna be drawing a LOT, but I won't be able to put any of it up until I get back~

But for those of you who care, there's a lot to look forward to. I've only been here for four days and I already have a bunch of new stuff. There'll probably be fifteen or twenty by the time I get back, andI'm also going to making at least four new cosplays while I'm out here, so there will also be mucho cosplay pictures as well upon my return~ I'll be doing Youji and Kio from Loveless, Shippuuden Sasuke from Naruto (I know, I'm betraying all I know and love in this world, but I have an awesome Orochimaru, and a really cute little snake to accompany us, plus I can just use Ritsuka's wig), as well as my first original character cosplay, Charon, our lion character.

While I'm here, I may be uploading some artful photos, because this is a beautiful state and I'm getting some very nice photos of the countryside~

Also, just FYI, I just tried sea salt chocolate, and it's amazing! What a weird combination! I highly suggest it~ (buy some at World Market, if you're in the US)

Alright, I know Kio is kinda an obscure character, but damn. Other than the like, four people here on DA who do a pretty Kio cosplay, there is NOBODY on the whole internet who even has the basest grasp of what the hell that character is supposed to look like! Why would you cosplay such an odd character unles you really like him? And if you really like him enough to do a cosplay, why would it never occur to you to double check things like, oh, say, vaguely the right hair, the earings, the tattoos, the outfit, tuck your boobs in, something!

Also, there is apparently a weight limit to cosplay Kio. -__-

There are a lot of characters in LOVELESS, like Nagisa or Seimei, who could be pulled off quite well by a larger woman, but in every group pic I found, everyone was tiny and the one token bg girl was stuffed in a waaaaaay too tight Kio cosplay. -__-

I dunno. I'm sorry Kio. I have to work really hard on this cosplay now to try to do you justice.

Phishing. Apparently, it's been going on on DA recently. It's most wide-spread through those stupid chain-mail esque "click here to see your valentine" or "click this link for an amazing suprise" messages.

DON'T CLICK THEM!

Not only will it get the hacker into your account, but it will then forward the stupid thing to a bunch of your friends under your username, which will not only put them at risk, but is technically spamming, and because there's no way to tell if it was really you aside from your word, (and who would possibly consiter lying to get out of trouble in the world today?), your account will be banned from DA if someone comes across it! And that's bad! D:

There have also been fake login pages that will steal your info if you get to DA through a link on another site instead of going straight to DA. Most people who already have accounts probably don't do this, but I know a lot of my watchers and friends, at least, get on DA at work or school where they're dodging websense filters, and clicking ads or random hits on google or blogs is the best way to get onto certain sites.

So, if you're messing around with that, for god's sake, check the URL of the login page. A fake should be pretty obvious. (hint: it won't say "deviantart"!)

This one should be pretty good. I like it so far. Chapters are like, less than a page, so I'll probably end up combining them.

Speaking of fic, I was looking back through some of the Naruto oneshots that I put up before I started Finale Reprise, and omigawd. I was all offended that no one wanted to read them, 'cuz I thought they were awesome and all... dear god. I'm embarassed to have written them! They're just... bad. XD I've come a long way since "A Nauseating Clash of Egos", I promise! XD I guess AP english is good for something... These aren't even funny! I've done all the things I absolutely dispise in fanfiction! I even turned my poor mascot character Chaba into the biggest Mary-Sue ever... Uhg. Right. So anyways:

LOVELESS fic. I like this one. It doesn't suck as much. Sorry for all the LOVELESS lately, I just got really into the series, and then found out that I can draw the art style pretty well... which is funny that I'm appoligizing, because I just realized I haven't gotten around to uploading any of my LOVELESS art except that half-assed Soubi cosplay in Oregon and our hideously 'shopped I-wish-we-had-actual-costumes-or-wigs Soubi/Ristuka shoot... XD

I think I'm gonna try to upload some stuff tomorrow, and maybe put up the first chapter or two of that fic to see what people think... It's kinda weird, and you won't know what's going on at first, but bear with me. The series is kinda like that anyways. ^^

BTW, did everyone who ever read LOVELESS think Kio was a girl for at least the first few volumes? XD My sister and BFF wouldn't believe me when I said he was male... Okay, so, you'll probably notice that a lot of the art I recently submitted contains OCs. And you've probably noticed that some of them seem to be paired up with your favorite characters. I know, I know, I'm betrayign my own fan followings. So, in light of this, I've decided to give an attempted explaination of these characters and where they came from.

This fic that the characters originated from, tentatively titled The Fate that Binds Us, though I'm kinda pulling for calling it Insert Title Here, is a collaberation by myself and . We have been writing it since like, last August, and have wasted far too much of our lives on it to be healthy. However, this fic was witen in a unique way that I think actually makes the plot far more realistic: live action roleplay. Every word of it. because of this, there's not really a lot of planning, room characters to become too powerful or cool, or much of a way for pairings to come into existance other than sheerly how two humans would actually end up getting along. (which explains some of the cracktastic, but suprisingly logical pairings).

The original premise was that she wanted to do a reincarnation fic, and I wanted to do a college fic, so we just smooshed them together. It started out as a parody. Everyone writes those cheesy fics where Sasuke is gay and nobody understands him. So we decided to write one where all of the Uchihas are gay except Sasuke, and won't stop trying to hook him up with a nice man. However, the plot actually started developing, and that element of the story fell out altogether. Because it's a reincarnation fic, ages are also flexable, so many generations of characters end up being the wrong ages entirely, or simply interacting in bizarre ways. We've now put more than a year of our lives into this nonstop, and would love to share it~ So, without any spoilers, (because we actually want to start writing out and submiting this fic) here are the five original characters that we have right now and a few quick things about them.

Aiko ------ (no last name! I said no spoilers!)
Average age: Around 15
Physical description: Blonde hair down to about the shoulders, twisted and fluffy, red eyes, usually fairly tan complexion. Generally small and slender, in good physical shape. Dresses very flashy and "cute"... Like, rainbow rollerblades, a miniskirt, and no shirt. -__- Aiko is bursting at the seams with energy.
Personality: There is no way to describe Aiko other than flaming gay. He dresses in skirts, fangirls over men in celebrity magazines, and is very proud to be labled as a screaming rainbow. He loves sweets and really just wants to play. Aiko is a spaz. He'd be creepy if he had even the slightest intent to cause anybody harm. He is almost embarassingly innocent, while at the same time, his mind is lurking in the gutter. Aiko's world is happy and full of love, and he is blind to the hate and violence and the horrors of real life. he is incredibly childish. There are times when Aiko lets on that he may be far wiser than he seems, but no one can be quite sure. He generally remembers his past lives right away, and seeks out everyone he remembers to fill their lives with love and... happy. Doesn't understand why no one likes Tobi. Aiko is afraid of clowns, from spoiler-related reasons steming from his first life.

Hiko ------
Average age: Usually around 12, sometimes around 16.
Physical description: Hiko is tiny, fragile, sickly, and very feminine. He went through a violent trauma while still in the womb. His hair is white, styled similar to Sasori's, if not a bit longer, and his skin is paper pale. His eyes are brown, a washed out version of his parents'. Hiko is beautiful, but usually sick and wasting away.
Personality: Hiko is as cold as ice. He has the worst luck in the world. In almost every life, he is beaten, raped, or otherwise torn down. He is often a mute. Hiko has basically given up on mankind. He's untrusting, sarcastic in nature, quite, icy, spiteful, and calm. He has turned his back on the world to protect his own life. You probably remember my jounal a few days ago giving Fay kuddos for getting me out of school. -_- No longer thankful!!! Seminole High, being the retarded @$$ajacks that they are, decided that after cancelling school over nothing for two days, it was time to go back today... The fist day the hurricane actually hit us! And on top of that, they're doing construction, so all the covered walkways have been torn down, the campus is pretty much under water, and it's rained seven inches sideways!!!

Luckily, everything in my backpack was safe... Except my art! All of my original prints! Everything! Soaked! They ran everywhere! My brand new sketch that I'm so proud of... I hadn't even scanned it yet... I was gonna do it today after school... it's the best realism I ever drew... *sniff* "Forever Autumn", "Paper in the Wind", "Peach Tree", my... >.> Neopets fanart... Anyways, all of my best ones are trashed! I only took the good ones to school to show off... It was hardly raining when we got there in the morning... Finale Reprise is the generic title for all of my main fics. the ones in existance so far are:

Naruto: Finale Reprise
Kingdom Hearts: Finale Reprise
Final Fantasy X: Finale Reprise.

They are all very long and complicated, and are all, in some way, interconnected. The one I am trying right now is Naruto: Finale Reprise, and so far I am pleased with the way it's turning out.

Because these fics are so long, they take a while for the plot to get going. This may be frustrating now, but please stay with me, it will pick up speed.

Naruto: Finale Reprise is actually a musical. It centers mainly around Naruto and Hinata and their love story, and Neji and Tenten and their story. The oneshot "NaruHina: Like the Ice" is actually the first chapter of Finale Reprise, but the pieces actually titled Finale Reprise are the ones portianing to Neji and Tenten, because there was more demand for that couple. My two filler-type chapters, "A Very Special Festival" and "A Nauseating Clash of Egos" are also from this fic. You can see how it has a few characters crossing over from the KH Finale Reprise.

Either way, I'll be slowly adding to this fic over time. I'm actually quite amused by the musical theme of the the Naruto one, and I may apply it to the other two.

I hop anyone who enjoys my writing will keep reading the Finale Reprise series, as the plot will eventually begin to fill out. Contsructive criticism of my writing and of the characters is greatly appreciated, and if you have any good ideas that fit into the plot, I may incorperate them in the future.
