i'll be taking AP stuido art next year. this is what i have to have done by the end of my vacations:

- a series (min. of 5) of quick sketches of the elements of art (line, shape, form, space, color, value, texture) and principles of design (dominance, sub ordinance, repetition, variation, rhythm/movement, symmetry, asymmetry) as seen in nature

- a series (min. of 5) of portrait sketches (may not be based on photographs). styles should include both naturalistic and abstract forms.

- a series (min. of ten) of quick sketches of observed nature

i'm looking very forward to working on my portfolio, since the pieces i've done this year were...unpresentable. so, wish me luck!

also, i tired out my friend's wii last night and fell in love with it immediately. IT.IS.ADDICTING

i can't even begin to talk about how ridiculous i looked when i playing boxing against my friend. we were both jumping around the room and knocking pillows off the couch. in the end i lost, he beat me two to one. i never thought these games can be so incredibly tiring, you can't imagine the pain i'm in right now..haha. sore arms are a bitch.

i'm so going to save up for one. C=

no, actually christmas + new years was a blast. christmas eve i watched a dance showcase, and on new years eve i watched another performance in times square after spending all day hanging out.
