A lot of things have changed

I moved from Indiana

My PoserPros store has closed as has the main store there

I have changed my postworking methods and started using more layer effects.

and the final and biggest change is I am finally living in Tennessee where I feel at home


Need to decide where I am going to upload my texture sets now though. For new stuff I will likely try ArtZone but I am not sure on the older stuff yet.

And am getting ready for a little vacation time
I am going to visit family in Tennessee for a couple weeks.

I have been working in Poser and Carrara lately and will hopefully have some of my renders from them uploaded sometime soon. I am really impressed with the features of Carrara and the render quality. I am hoping with DAZ now owning it that there will be an easier import path from D|S in the future as I don't do as much work in Poser. Though the transposer plug-in is very nice to have.

I am tired of seeing Poser/ D|S artists slammed because we do not make our own models. Many of us artists put our own stamps into the renders one way or another whether through textures, or morphs or any number of ways. Yes as has been said we do not always make the models we use, but the models are tools. And as any tool the quality of it is only tested by the user. There are artists that make beautiful breathtaking art using Poser and D|S, as well as people that want a quick fix to enter the art world(though many looking for this will likely give up once they see what is involed in producing a decent image). What gets me though is the mentality that Poser art is crap because it uses pre made items. Let's examine this for a moment. Is there any art that does not use pre made tools. Painters do not make their own brushes, or grind the pigments to make the paint they use (unless they are real hardcore they buy the stuff), Photographers do not buy a kit or something to build the camera they use, Simply put cameras, paints, brushes, computer programs, Poser content are all tools. You could spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to get all these tools, and without talent you have wasted your money.

Art is art. The point is to convey emotion in a visual and visceral way. The tools used are of little importance once the artwork is complete.
Why can't we as artists just appreciate the beauty of the work without having to ridicule and demean others because they can use a tool a different way than was thought possible or have trick that they've learned to make their artwork more enjoyable and less time consuming.
Art should above all else be enjoyed.

Yes I know being excited about 69 page views is a little juvenile. I think one thing that helps is having friends. But most of my friends have moved on and moved away from this hell hole.

I am trying to make new friends but it is not always that easy for me. With the torture I went through after moving here I find it hard to trust people. I wish I could return to the old me.
