Just an update to let you all know there will be updates soon!

2nd year is fantastic, a new start for me. Although I'm pretty sure I'm going through some sort of breakdown in my head, I have lots of things keeping me smiling. My friends are keeping me upright, aswell as Tom back in my life

It will be a fantastic year.

Just to let you all know I'm back on the quiet again. No internet + No scanner = no updates from moi Need to wait for the internet to be set up in my new place before I can upload again.

Being back at Uni has its ups and downs. A lot of things going around that have really irritated me because people have automatically started assuming things. To make one thing clear, Rumors are horrible, they ruin things. And whoever spreads them, really really isnt worth my time. People should really ask the source and get their facts straight.

Besides that, all is good in the world of Art I bought a new sketchbook, and leads. Lovely <3

Summer is finally here. Although to be honest, it still feels like winter. Great weather! -_-

I'm back home in Birmingham, although leaving again on tuesday for Newcastle. Holiday on the 3rd of July Lots of things happening in the next few weeks. Newcastle, holiday, Birthday and then moving into my new house. Might have a job lined up in the bar my parents go to. T'is all good.

I have been up and down the past few weeks. Its been a hard year. So many good and bad times for me. Just getting over that and moving on. Its gotten better, but that still doesnt mean Its gone away yet. I know what I want to happen, but it never will

My brother's gig tomorrow night. Should be awesome. Lots of live music and drinking

On the art front. I've been pretty good recently. Practicing everyday. I even did some painting the other week. Felt a little painful picking up a paintbrush again. Havent painted in a whole year.

I even have some free time on my hands now, so if anyone would like a commission of any kind. I'm free the summer to do it. Just send me a note.

First year of Uni = best year of my life. Mostly because Ive grown up so much. Although there are definately a lot of things I wish hadn't of happened but there isn't really anything I can do about that anymore. I hope one day it all settles back into place. That maybe I can be forgiven, or at least understood.

Besides that, I didn't know what work was until i got to Uni In between deadlines at the moment and its quite a lot to take. Safe to say I'm doing okay though. Certain things are keeping me going. The idea of a great summer mostly <3

Art wise, besides work, its been pretty dead. I'll be uploading sketches! Thats something.

Anyway, i'm back to animation

I'm moving away tomorrow!! I leave tomorrow morning for Teesside university, mom and dad are driving me there with my mountains of stuff to take >.> . I have to say i am extremely nervous! I keep thinking i have more things to pack but ive literally packed EVERYTHING. Also nervous about making friends, new subjects, surviving on my own etc etc. Should be pretty awesome though

On the drawing front, i have no idea when i'll have anything up. I'm not taking a scanner with me so i think it'll be digital stuff from now on or photos ><. ( Not that i've been updating ) So im going to be even more quieter than i am at the moment. I appreciate all of my friends still supporting me on here Is anyone having a problem with seeing their gallery window on their main page? For some reason i can only see my featured deviation/favourites and wishlist - no recent deviations

Just checking in, am sitting here sneezing and using my weight in tissues due to excessive hayfever, I have no idea why, I took tablets!!

I leave on tuesday morning for the US, so I am spending the night packing and also sorting stuff for University after the summer. I get back...four days or something before I have to move in O.o I'm looking forward to it, what was nervousness has now turned into excitement Looking foward to the rest of the summer though, should be wonderful to see him again and his family.

I may be concentrating on digital work, depending on how the scans turn out using matts mom's scanner, trouble with ballpoint is that it doesn't have all that greater quality of screen so it may just be sketches. I'm hoping to really start looking into my own story, though I doubt it, knowing me <.<

Oh yeah! I also have some photos to load up, there was a bunch of building work done by my friend's house, and a tall white fence had been put around it. So the local youth centre had organised grafitti work to go along it to promote positive youth in the community. Laura suggested we do our own piece, and we just finished it yesterday I designed it, and her and my other friend painted it and it turned out fantastic! So i'll post up a photo of it soon.

Ermmm, well it's also my email and i thought of it like...years ago, its when i had two rabbits so..umm yeah my pets i guess lawl.

Most often its every day, depending on if I've uploaded something.

One, but shes my best friend.

Drawings mostly, I try to upload both digital and traditional pieces, most of them are traditional i think.

People, characters, the majority of the stuff I upload are pieces I feel are actually good enough, I have a million sketches etc in my sketch book that never see a scanner.

6. How long have you been doing your kind of art?
Since I could hold a pencil I think, my dad used to buy me colouring books and stuff, he was always better than me so I used to get jealous and push myself to get better - i could never colour in the lines

7. How often do you work on art?
It's been kinda slow over the passed year, but otherwise every day if i can, if im feeling creative it'll be twice maybe three times a day.

8. What kind of deviations do you usually add in your favorites list?
Hrmm, things I find truly expressive or skillful, that touches something within me, it could be a great character design, a painting, or just something I love to look at.

9. On average, how long does it take you to finish one deviation?
4 - 5 hours on tradtinal pieces, depending on the medium. Maybe an hour or two for a sketch, digital pieces can take up to a few days because i usually stop at intervals (lines, base colour etc)

10. What are your inspirations to make art?
Everything I think! Movies, other art, friends, other people's determination, my stubborn pride, my art teachers, books, games, characters, stories, bits of mediums i may not have used in awhile, old art pieces etc etc

11. How important is art in your life?

Just an update, working on getting a few concept studies done of my characters, working on getting Angel done at the moment in ballpoint pens. My style is starting to shift again, which is annoying but improvement is always good!

I've pretty much finished with sixth form (or last year of highschool in U.S. terms) and just have to say - OMG STRESS. Seriously. Had to say goodbye to everyone as well, was sad If anyone from year 13 is reading this, I will miss you! x

Yeah so i got my ears pierced again, got a second hole above my originals. I'm glad i got em done, looks pretty

And also! Thanks to everyone for their support on my last piece, I really appreciate it I hope I can get some more stuff up before I leave for the U.S. again on the 24th.

I have bad news too, i decided to duck out of the comic a friend and I are doing for some personal reasons. Feeling crappy about it because i feel so self centered and stuff. So....yeah, expect some random stuff from now on (or ANY stuff at all)

Im finally going to be uploading once again, Ive got a few things to upload up and i have a project with a friend that we are both working on, Im drawing it, she's writing it I'll give more details further down. I'm finally getting on top of my college work and my comissions, I still have a lot left to do but I feel like I'm actually getting somewhere! I only have a few more months left of college and then I've got a great summer to look forward to

Anyway I hope everyone is doing well! I am sorry for not commenting/reading up on everyone's business, if anyone feels they'd like me to look at any of their stuff that i might of missed, i'd be glad to.

About our new project, its going to be a comic and should hopefully all go to plan. It's called 'Le Cirque Du Soir' and we already have a website, although it's still in development i hope you guys check it out! The story involes a circus with a dark secret and some great unique characters.

Christmas has come around so quickly it'll be over before we know it. I'm looking forward to it, Matt is coming over this year so we're going to spending the holidays together Besides that, I'm not swamped with work and I finally have my laptop!! I decided to crack open the box before Christmas day as I needed to start work on transferring files/getting net connection all set up. I'm still looking forward to the giant Christmas dinner and falling asleep infront of movie wrapped up warm under the covers, ah heaven!

I haven't finished my christmas shopping yet, which Im not looking forward to, I love shopping but i cant stand spending money rofl. I will indeed be broke by the time I'm finished!

College is good, it finishes in a week so this week is gonna be pretty laid back for all of us. I hope everyone is getting a decent time off for the holidays because gawd knows how quickly it goes.

I've applied for University! I've already got two universities asking for interviews, my first choice hasn't given me an answer yet but at least I know I have 2 chances. So i have to start putting together a portfolio of work which Ive been asking people about. I have to admit I am excited about leaving home, i've heard such good things about living at university, cant wait to get out on my own!

Anyway, I am going to finish my first page of my comic tonight, I will make myself lol. I'm not exactly satisfied with the artwork itself but I have to move on to better things! It might be another month until the second page is released depending on the reaction i get. Besides that piece I'll be uploading some photos of my final piece from my project on abstractions, a sketch dump and I'm in an art trade at the moment.

Not much else going on in my life.

Hey everyone, thought I'd give an update on whats going on.
I HAVE A COLD, ugh its terrible. I keep getting really bad headaches and my nose is stuffy ALL OF THE TIME. Everything tastes the same ><.
New school year, year 13, cannot believe it. We are already filling out our university forms for next year, my body is doing all of it but my mind is still stuck at the beginning of year 12 :S My no.1 university is Tee side in Middlesbrough, doing games art! I'm so glad theres a course that fits into exactly what i want to do.
I was pretty happy with my results, got an A in art, two Cs in drama and General studies (hoping to get general studies up to a B) and umm ..*mumbles* fail in IT but thats really because I couldn't be bothered at the end of last year. (Yeah, excuses i know).
We are still doing our abstract project, which I'm focusing on distorting the face and human form, its pretty fun, everyone is doing well.
On the outside art front, I am getting stuck into everything! I'm about 1/4 of the way through my ballpoint tutorial, working on one pic traditionally and have an art trade going too.
I am going to work on my front cover for my comic nows, i finally got a new scanner.

So its nearly the end of summer, and I'll be heading home on the 3rd. I'm gonna get stuck into updating and working on my ballpoint pen tutorial that i've been planning for a few months -_-.

I definitely want to start working on my digital painting skillz. They is terrible atm, I have the programs I need at home so i have no excuse. Laura always said 'a Bad workman always blames his tools' (or lack of them, in my case )

I had a great summer here, we went to Shedd aqarium last week on lakeshore drive, started out with Matt locking his keys in the car (was not very amused). Ended the day by racing two storms home. The sky was literally turning red, by the time we got back, i was trembling >.<

Hi ya all, unfortunately this journal isn't that great, my Nan passed away this morning. She was my mom's mom, but she was an amazing person. I never really knew her, as she went into a home when I was just coming into being a teenager. I just knew her as my Nan, I was just a kid.
She was diagnosed with dimensia 3 years ago, they said she'd last a year, but she fought for three.
She doesn't have any pain now, shes with one of my best friends, Charlotte, who died when i was 12. And my old dog, smudge.

I know people don't really believe in that kind of stuff, but its nice to think shes gone to a better place where she can look after me.

So, thats the news really.

I really just couldn't be bothered I've had exams, I was away for a week with my family and I've had stuff going on with my boyfriend.

phew.

So! I haven't been updating because I'm in Indiana atm, seeing my boyfriend whom I haven't seen since september last year. I'm trying to have a break from everything so when I go back home I'm ready to start my studying for my college exams and continue updating. This is the reason why I haven't been replying to you all.
I have been doing a lot of character sketches for my 'Tales of Avarea' story that I have loaded into my head, and just trying to break out of this narrow mind I'm in with my art atm.

I am also doing an art project, I had a lot of options to choose from, one of which was 'comics'. However, I decided to go crazy and choose another option: FUNGI!
I'm doing ok with it, it's definately boardening my horizons.

In other news, my boyfriend's family and I are off to Vegas tomorrow! We're staying there over the weekend, hopefully we'll have a great time

Gah I should really upload some more stuff. Im thinking of doing a load of character sketches from my main story (probabaly haven't really heard much about it, characters and stuff are in my earlier deviations!). I'm either going to do all of them in traditional media (fallen in love with it atm) or digital, or a mix. If anyone has any opinion on which kind is better then go ahead. I got myself some oil paints the other day so they might be put into it.

Life! Hmm, well things are going pretty good. I'm leaving for Chicago in less than 2 weeks, but i'm taking all of my work plus my tablet with me. I have a lot of work due in, which is the main reason why I haven't uploaded (whats new eh? hehe). I might upload some pictures of my final piece for my figure project (its way too big to scan!). I just wish I could draw something really easily and upload it without putting myself down about how it looks.
Other things are ok, getting on great with everyone. I have this urge to make up with a friend whos having a really bad time recently but stubborness might get in the way XP

Been awhile since my last update. I am aware I haven't uploaded my angel piece but jebus after working so long on it I really am starting to slow even further down, lol.
News, hmm. Haven't really been doing much art work outside of my courses. I don't feel very inspired anymore, hopefully when i get my new digital camera tomorrow I'll feel a little better. I got tagged by but I'm gonna upload it when I'm done with featuring (its LONG).
Leaving my saturday job soon (made me feel like the sin of the earth for it), but I'm sick of being treated like I don't have any other skill than serving rude customers, finding shoes and standing around for 5 hours. I'd rather be doing something worth while.

This guy loves his guns, which makes him different in my range of friends. He puts in a lot of detail in his drawings, which to me, makes them really interesting. Plus the photo of the bear made me want to hug the screen

Hope everyone is having a good valentines day and if not, I'm with ya on that one Unfortunately I can't be with my lover on this day as he lives 4000 miles away, but look at it this way, we all have our own holidays. Christmas (mostly, in my view) for kids, mothers, fathers day etc speaks for itself, birthdays are for the individual, so valentines day is just another holiday for another group of people. (...Is shot for talking such crap)

I love her passion for art, her realistic style combined with fairy wings is really effective. Shes a lover of dogs like me, and her Darlin' is absolutely gorgeous!

Anyway! I haven't updated recently BUT (heard that too many times!) i will be uploading something...soon...later...never...*ahem*

Everything is good with me, had a great new year with my brother and friends. Christmas went too quickly.

I will be doing a featured artist thingy soon, as I have been featured in a few of my friend's journals so i thought i'd repay the favor. You don't have to comment to get featured, I'll be featuring the people i list in my friends list.

I know its still a week before christmas, but wanted to tell you all i hope you have a great holiday Whether it be Christmas or something else

Art wise, i have my deadline on my landscape coursework due in, which is slightly crap as i wanted to spend time on it and get it right up to date. However, i have been practicing outside of that and might post some lil portraits in scraps. I'm going to start my anatomy practice over christmas, as i'll be getting a great reference book (hopefully!!) off of my parents.

I was in the school show this year too, me and my two friends performed 5 lil drama pieces inbetween performances. I was the tinsel monster, we got some hoots

Anyway, hope everyone is doing great!! I am officially broke, as of wednesday when i get the rest of my presents for people. Hope everyone is having better luck than i am!

I can't believe its almost Christmas, already!!! I haven't even got half of the presents i need for people yet>.< Its a nightmare to go into the city centre, its crazy on a saturday.
I started my job, its alright, runs you off of your feet though. The people i work with are alright i guess.
On the art front, i'm still practising! I'll be uploading something i did in my new sketchbook soon enough.
I'm getting on ok, can't complain >.>
Putting the tree up this week, I'M the one who has to do it... -_-

College work has become alot easier now, apparently i had 'sixth form sindrome' where i think A-levels are going to be easier than GCSEs, but they turn out to be the opposite... HARDER!
Anyway, i've relaxed a little, and work is smoother now. Hopefully i'll be getting a saturday job so i'll have extra cash lying around.

Forgive me if i've just been posting lineart, i havent really had the time to colour anything well yet. I may scan some work from my landscape projects if i find a good one

Anyway, i hope all of you are well i'm still logging in and checking journals etc, so i'm not completely away from deviant.

I thought GCSEs were bad but A-levels are worse *cry* Forgive me all for not uploading anything, i have a few new things to put up, i've just had this duty to do my work so i dont start failing! I promised myself i'd do well in my A-levels. I've been sketching here and there, and i'll probably upload a picture of my friend soon enough, i just need to edit it so its a lil clearer (its only a sketch)
Aaaanyway, back to my I.C.T work! *bangs head*
