I've been working on a lot of thing simultaneously like coloring things (one for the lovely Gyakuten) and wanted to complete a bunch of things but never getting around to it.

I've been a little more motivated to do some band vectors but more focusing on the content than the subject, like lyrical wise. Example, my copy of the superb copy of the new Fear before the March of Flames album came in the mail today (I did a little dance when it did, heh) and wanted to do a piece for the song On the bright side she could choke, which I wil be posting lyrics for because I, for some reason, am so entralled with the anger and vengeful-ness of it all.

Anyways. Anyone who actually knows me, knows I'm a Vegan, which is a vegetarian who also dosen't consume/use products from animals like milk, leather and eggs. Why am I telling you this? Because the world has some real fucking discusting people in it. They, animals, fucking feel pain to. They scream.

Fur farming in China - This is graphic to watch but I'm sure, to me anyways, you'll find it tame. Gist, they beat a still live and conscience animal then skin it... alive, no pain killers or anything. It finally ends with the animal still alive, completly insided out almost in apperence shaking before dying.

Meet your meat - A look into SOME of the AMERICAN meat plants. Graphic, if you can stand to see helpless cows strung up by their feet with their throats being slit, all the while being alive.

"Humanly" putting an animal asleep - no blood/gore. This got to me for some reason.

Animal trapping - Questionable, shot in America and Canada.

I just don't understand how you could do that to any living thing? They feel pain, they Scream and they bleed. I'm not trying to persuade people into being vegetarians or vegans, I want people to be aware of Cruelty to animals, especially since it is unwarranted and unnessecary. More Videos here. Yeah, jumping on the band wagon here but I'll be pretty much switching accounts over to Sheezy art... I'll stilll check this one out but I don't think I'll upload any thing else....

Da keeps appling applications to my computer which sends outward signals.... basically DA + My computer = LAGGGINNNG SERVICE. That's no good.

Plus DA takes years to load and is always in some sort of maitinece. Thats really, really bad.

I'll still be commenting on the people I watch works but Just with Work, School, Sports and other obligations, I don't have time to wait an hour for an art server.

a small collection of you may remember last year i tried to get together 100+ portraits of deviants for a "DA yearbook." but then i lost all the files on my computer in a reformatting nightmare. everything was lost, including all my digital art, 1500+ pictures, my MP3s, and all the pictures i had for the yearbook (about 70). well, i promised a few i'd try it again, and i think now is the best time to do just that.

here is what i need from you, if you wish to take part:

1. a 100(length) by 150(height) pixel portrait of you. mind you, a portrait and not a full body picture. and try your best to make it close enough to see who you are. black and white is preferred. wither way, it will end up black and white. i cannot stress these perameters enough. there were many pictures i had to reject last time because they did not meet requirements.

-and/or-

2. any group pictures of deviant meets that have taken place. the picture can be fashioned in anyway, as long as it features the people that attended. once again, black and white. i may or may not choose to put yours in. it depends how many responses i get. the picture has to be taken by you. if it is not taken by you, convince the person who took it to send it to me.

-and/or-

3. make a journal on DA to tell others about this, put it in your signature, or some other method of promotion, so i can get the amount of pictures i need for a finished product.

-and/or-

4. any suggestions, ideas or questions you have for this.

please send all pictures to truehmer@uwm.edu by july 1st, 2005. pictures submitted after the date will be rejected, for i will have already constructed a layout forthe amount of pictures i already have.

the final product will be posted late july, maybe in print form, i don't know. it depends.

"We recognise that beginning or amateur artists often copy or recreate existing imagery as a natural part of the learning process. This does not mean that actual art theft is allowed - we do not allow an artist to simply add or remove details from a piece of work created by another artist, nor may they edit, recolor, crop or otherwise simply modify the actual work created by another artist. What we do allow at this point in time is for artists to reproduce works (or copy) through their own effort. It is considered proper etiquette to cite the original artist of the inspiring work and give them credit for being the inspiration of such reproductions, especially if numerous details have been copied or otherwise borrowed.

While we would agree that the simple reproduction of another artists work is not particularly original we have chosen to allow these recreations providing that the reproduction has been created completely through the efforts of the artist in question and does not directly contain any portions of the referance work.

If you believe that a deviation or scrapbook addition is an "edit" of another work rather than a true recreation, or that if you have evidence that it has been directly traced then you should report it as a potential violation. Recreations which have been reported will be judged on a case-by-case basis by the appropriate administrative staff."

While I condone the use of reference work, Hell I use a good pose from a pic every once and a while, The idea that somebody can print an image out an blantantly copy it and repost it as their own hard work is blashemy. I observe, not trace, I leave the image entacted if you understand what I mean. I learned the hard way artist work hard for their work and for the mere host of the art to place policys over it is ridiculous. The server dosen't own The image, the ARTIST does. And no case by case basis nonsense, that shouls be up to the discresion of the creator.

I'm unsure to continue my account on DA, I know my art isn't the most gourgeous pieces in the world but boy do I know how easy it is to steal and the temptation to do it. I rather the policy be changed, but -sigh- it seems all the art hosting sites are corrupting in a sense.
