In other news, there is no news! Band has eaten my life untill Nov 14 (CHAMPS!!!!) Life is on hiatus untill then. Doing Odyessey of the Mind and Indoor Percussion again this year, maybe pit orchestra for the musical if I get lucky. Had a boyfriend. Dumped him after a week, learned my lesson. Don't like to talk about it. Speaking lots of German lately. Thought my phone got stolen, turns out I'm just retarded. Trying desperately to talk my band directior into getting the school to buy a bass flute. (They exist. They are the greatest thing ever.) Waiting desperately and patiently for Backlash in March. (ZEKKFINALLYOMG!!!!) I'll let you know if I make it. XD

So, just what was I trying to say there? I have been watching endless movies of awesomeness, about half of them starring someone named Matthew! Where to start? How 'bout at the beginning?

So at the beginning of the month, me and my sis, slept over at and 's house, where we watched movies literally all night! The first movie we watched was one of my new favorites...

Contact (1997, Jodie Foster, Matthew McConaughey) I first saw it in Biology, of all places. Don't ask me why, my Bio teacher's weird. And attractive. Anyways, this is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who likes sci-fi. It's about a scientist named Ellie Arroway (Jodie Foster) who manages to make contact with an alien race. It's less about the humans actually interacting with the aliens and more about how we on Earth deal with the moral and religious issues that come up because of this event. Other information: Mathew McConaughey is insanely hot in it!

So, after we finished Contact, Mel and Sars introduced me to X-Men, one of the coolest movie series ever! I am eternally grateful!

X-Men (2000, Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Patrick Sewart, Halle Berry, Famke Janssen, Anna Paquin and James Marsden, mah luv! Ahem) So, the whole idea behind X-men, if you didn't already know, is that some humans are born with a genetic mutation that gives them various super powers. For instance Logan, AKA Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) has regeneration abilities, Scott Summers, AKA Cyclops (James Marsden) has wicked sweet laser eyes. (W00T!) So anyways, the non-mutants naturally fear and resent the mutants and the U.S. government is trying to pass the Mutant Registration Act, which will force mutants to identify and register themselves. Some mutants like Eric Lensherr, AKA Magneto (Ian McKellen) believe that this will lead to the mutants being imprisoned or wiped out. In their opinion, the only solution is to completely wipe out the humans. On the flip side, a group of mutants known as the X-Men, lead by Professor Charles Xavier, (Patrick Sewart) try to protect humanity. Epic battle takes place! Epic hotness is displayed! Recommended for any fan of superhero movies!

X2 (2003, Everybody mentioned above. ) X2 picks up pretty much where X1 left off. This time around however, the bad guy is a human named William Stryker, (Brian Cox) a former Army officer who experiments on mutants and has important ties to Wolverine’s past. In addition, he wants nothing more than to see all the mutants wiped from existence and now has the means to do it. In order to survive, the X-Men must team up with Magneto and his crew, as well as an insanely awesome German teleporting mutant named Kurt Wagner, AKA Nightcrawler! (Alan Cumming) This is the best X-Men movie in my opinion, and not just because of Nightcrawler!

X3: The Last Stand (2006, Everybody mentioned in the first one.) After X2, Magneto is at large, and back in the Bad Guy seat, (Oh noes!) and Jean Grey’s (Famke Janssen) powers have grown unthinkably strong, to the point where she is a danger to herself and those around her. She’s also creepy, IMO. In addition, scientists have developed a serum negating the mutant gene and are calling it a cure. Well, either their stubborn, confrontational and argumentative nature causes one to kick the other out, or their habits with the opposite sex cause them to get to know each other really really well...
Most likely the first one.

2. Everyone hosts a surprise party for 9. (Disciple) The result?
HE WILL BE POISONED!!! *heroic voice*

3. 1 (Scott) and 3 (Stalker Dancer) go shopping.
Scott is never seen again...!!!

4. Yikes! 10 (Nightcrawler) gets 7 (Ali) pregnant!
I told you! German is sexy! Why are you surprised by this?!?! I guess the kid's gonna be blue then??

5. 5 (Sars), 8(Malak), and 2 (Jason) co-write a book. What’s it about?
Being a Demented Dark Side Stalker/Creeper for Dummies? Or maybe How to Write a Really Wierd Book.

6. You’re walking home from school/church/work/the store when a masked figure leaps out and kidnaps you. Later, they reveal their identity. Was it 6 (Wolverine), 3 (Stalker Dancer), or 9 (Disciple)?
Obviously it's Stalker Dancer! That's his role in life!! He also kidnapped my hat, the fiend!! Sadly it wasn't Wolverine, and Disciple was too busy BEING POISONED!!!

7. Let’s pretend 5 (Sars)is a cop. They catch 4 (Ellie) breaking the law. What happens?
First of all, who on Earth decided Sars should be a cop?!?! That's the worst idea I've ever heard!! Anyways, Sars'll probably arrest Ellie for stealing a hot guy named Palmer Joss. Sars shall then confiscate the stolen property.

8. 6 (Wolverine)falls in love with 10 (Nightcrawler). How does 10 react?
Nightcrawler: (German accent-> ) But, I sought he vas so rugged!!! Mein Gott, he vas a lumberjack, for crying out loud!!

9. 6 (wolverine) and 7 (Ali) summarily get in a fight over 10 (Nightcrawler). Let’s see how this one plays out!
Well, fortunately for Ali, Wolverine comes to his senses and remembers that, while German is sexy, he is in fact, not gay. This is fortunate for Ali, because not only does she end up with a sweet German blue guy, but she is also spared from certain pwnage at the hands of Wolverine.

10. 2 (Jason) walks one hundred miles in pouring rain to your house.
First of all, he doesn't walk, he rolls. Ya know, Stalker SITTER? Secondly: AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CALL THE COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPS!!!!!!! CREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND DON'T TELL ALI BECAUSE SHE'LL HAVE A HEART ATTACK!!!!

11. 1 (Scott)and 9 (Disciple)take kung-fu lessons (or any other martial arts lessons). They decide to practice on each other. Which one gets the crap beaten out of them?
Disciple, for sure! Even if he wasn't already dying of !POISON!, Scott's awesomeness would just fry him on the spot!

12. 4 (Ellie), 2 (Jason), and 10 (Nightcrawler) toilet-paper 3’s (Stalker Dancer's) house. What happens?
Wow, that must have been the weirdest team of all time. oO Anyways, Stalker Dancer steals their hats and beats them up with his flailing dance of awesomeness.

13. OMG! Why did 8 (Malak)just beat up 9?! (Disciple)
A) Because Malak is a freakin' beast and can beat a up whoever the heck he wants, B) Disciple's a loser. Losers get beaten up, it's a fact. and C) Malak was probably sick of Disciple running around and announcing "I HAVE BEEN POISONED!!!" every time he gets poisoned. I know it gets on my nerves.

Zekk: Once, there was a super hawtt Jedi. He was really cool, and was one of the only decent jedi in the NJO. But since the publishing company is run by selfish jerks, they decided to ditch him and write about a certain moldy b*tch instead. Then when they finally did give him a decent role, they screwed him over and made him go MIA. Then they decided to finally give him the novel he deserved, but had to make his life miserable one last time by pushing the release date back 7 months. Then he pwned them all and married CDS-03, Sars-08, and Jag, all at the same time. The End!

So I bought the Lion King soundtrack, and I pretty much exploded from awesomeness! *dies*
I also downloaded the Sphinx soundtrack, and again, I exploded. I've done a lot of exploding lately.

Also something that made me explode was the movie Contact! We watched it in Biology, of all places. Don't ask me why. I'm not complaining. Anyways, one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who likes sci-fi. Just a warning though, one of the central issues is Science vs. Religion, so if you're not into that, it could get real old, real fast. >.< Fortunately, I don't think anyone who'll actually read this fits that category. XD

Now, for something that made me explode in a bad way. At Youth Group yesterday, we had "Star Wars Night" where we were exploring the spirituality of Star Wars. (My youth leaders are big Star Wars fans as well) Well, to put it mildly, I was reminded of the reason why I only like watching Star Wars with hard-core fans. *sigh* No one took it seriously. All the girls there were like "Eew, Star Wars?! Are you serious?!" and all the "fans" were a bunch of n00bs who just made stupid jokes about Hayden Christensen's acting and Jar-Jar and how "the new ones are so stupid." *death glares at OT diehards* The good news is that next week we're doing Star Wars trivia in which I plan to win a Millennium Falcon kite.

In other, relatively non-explosive news: I am attempting to remain FotJ-spoiler-free. If you spoil any part, YOU SHALL DIE! Oh wait, that was explosive. My bad. The point is, Spoilers= mega-bad. Don't do it. I also attempted to make a 3-D chibi Nen Yim out of Sculpey clay. It worked great untill I put it in the oven. Turns out, Sculpey actually melts a bit before it hardens. >.< I have yet to figure out how to reattach her head. X_X
I may or may not finish Tatooine Ghost in the next week. Don't really know what I'm reading after that. Probably Outbound Flight or the rest of the Clone Wars-era books. Lastly, hopefully I'll be able to recruit a few more people to DA. We'll have to see.

As for art, expect some more Contact art if I can get ahold of the DVD so I can take screen caps. Also, there will be inevitable chibis. No sprites. By the end of next month, hopefully I'll have my stuff from my art classes, too. Can't wait for you guys to see that stuff! Also, I may or may not be posting a picture ~PyroRaveHeart71 and I are calling "my secret project." To say the least, it will prompt some interesting responses. Ahem.

So, what have I been up to?
I have a massive sketch dump coming, plus I rediscovered my love of Chibi-ing! The school had it's spring musical which the lovely Mel and the not-so-lovely Sars (JK!) both had parts in. Good Job, peeps! I've started my good friend (who doesn't have a DA account, but needs one) with reading NJO. She got halfway through in a month! She's already on Destiny's Way! (<- I do so miss using that emote! ) I read Millennium Falcon, Wraith Squadron, Iron Fist, Solo Command, finished up the Thrawn trilogy and read the Courtship of Princess Leia and also re-read the Final Prophecy! Corran= ooo! I like that emote too! Wheeeeee!
I also saw the movie Rent, which I LOVED! (No comments, Sars! ) So expect art from that. Now, I've got to go respond to 98 messages and look at 170 deviation and 2 notes! So CYA!

In case you couldn't tell by the title, I'm sick as crap, but -isn't this perfect- I don't have a fever, which means I have to go to school tomorrow, even though I really should be staying home. I made a dumb move and procrastinated on my biology homework and now it's midnight and I'm only half done and I can't get my eyeballs off the freaking DA screen so I'm writing this journal instead. Curse you ADD. On the bright side, maybe my lack of sleep with cause my illness to worsen and give me a fever so I can stay home! Mel, Sars, if I'm not at school tomorrow, you'll know why. If I am at school, please kill me. I'll be your BFF forever. Not that I wasn't already. So the moral of this story is don't get sick. Failing that, do your shabla Biology homework. BEFORE Midnight! When did you join DA and why?
December 10 of '07. I was on ASN ([link]) and they had a link to *rufftoon's work. I follwed it, checked out a good deal of the Avatar community and somehow found my way to the Star Wars community. I fell in love with the whole idea of DA and decided that I absolutely had to get one. So far I haven't regretted it!

What was the first deviation you uploaded?

My family is going on our annual February ski trip, only this year we're doing it over Christmas break to accomodate for some schedual changes in school, which means I won't be on DA for pretty much the next week, sorry. I also have some more art I've been meaning to upload, so I don't know if I'll get to do that before we leave. Fortunately, I may actually do some reading while we're there!

One more thing, could you please keep my friend in your prayers? He had a siezure yesterday morning. He's fine, but they're not really sure what caused it, so we'd all appreciate prayers. Thanks!

I'm not going to do Sprites from something I'm not familiar with. I don't really do Anime anything. No Naruto or Bleach ect. I also can't do Avatar. Someone beat me to them.[link]
2. I'm only going to do up 10 ten at a time, but they don't really take that long, so if by some miracle, the list gets filled up, you won't have to wait long.
3. I have the right to refuse to make any sprite if I don't want to! Deal with it!
4. For the love of life, don't request a billion at once. Two or three at a time per person, if you please!
5. When I'm done with all of them, I'll post a deviation of all 10 together, as well as updating each individual Sprite page.

Also I will continue to do Sprite Requests for as long as people request them, so if you think of one at any time, let me know! I'll be having a listy thingy on all my journals from now on.

Band
A few days ago was the first Marching Band practice! We had a kind of picnic thing at the beginning with tasty (but uber-messy) tacos! Yum!! All the freshman were so cute! I wonder if I was that cute at my first practice??? It was kind of embarrassing when we went to do our stretching and warmp-ups only to find out just how out of shape I'd gotten over the winter, but that will soon be corrected! Our show is going to be amazing this year. We're doing Tower of Power, this awsome soul band, and the little we've played sounds amazing! My life is back! Here's to a great Band season!

My Birthday!
Yay! Happy birthday, self! Why, thank you, self, I'm so glad you remembered!
Yes, I addition to the First Band practice, it was my birthday! I've decided that Band practice was my birthday present from life. Thanks, life! My family was really busy on my birthday, so we celebrated it this weekend. So besides Band, I got a gorgeous gift from my best friend who drew me this! [link] ! It's absolutely gorgeous! Thank You, Mel!!! I also got a new MP3 player, (yay!) a Borders gift card, (gonna buy Dark Nest so I can stop borrowing them from Sars) and lots of money with which I plan to buy, among other things, Mass Effect. Thank you Parents!!!!

End of School
wow. Is it summer already??? It doesn't feel like it. A few days ago was my last final I had to take. (teehee. The final final.) It was English, and I probably could have done it in my sleep, which was good because I nearly had to , I was so exhausted. This year was definitely the most memorable, interesting, fun, sad, and all around amazing year I've ever had. There were some not-so-good things that happened this year, like a certain tragedy in November, [link] , as well as the fact that my grades weren't anywhere near as good this year as they were last year. Not to mention, this being my first time in Band, it was also my first experience with "Band Off-season Separation Anxiety." But these were easily offset by the awsomenessof this year; Joining the Marching Band, (w00t!) a whole new school experiance, new friends, a whole new mindset, lots of Star Wars books, and serious drawing ability improvement! This year was great, but I'm definitely ready for summer. Much Sleep!

A few more obscure happy things in my life, I discovered that I actually don't suck at coloring things in pen. I just put up a bunch of portaits in pen, and they're SO much fun! And they don't look terrible!
Also, thanks to and My good old sister , I have officially become addicted to the webcomic "the Dreamer." The art, and Alan, are totally gorgeous, and the plot line is fascinating and extremely creative. Check it! [link]
I also figured out that Alan is a perfect (blond) depiction of how I think of...Zekk! (You're all probably getting so tired of Zekk by now.) But seriously, He's perfect! And, the main character, Bea, kind of looks like Jaina. (you all know where this is going, don't you?) I saved a pic of a certain panel and changed the hair and eye color on Alan and the eye and lip color on Bea, and behold! It's Jaina and Zekk! [link] EEP! I'm not putting it on DA because it's not really my art, I just changed some colors around.
Also, Last of the Jedi #10: Reckoning is coming out this month! Now this could either be a very good thing or a very bad thing, depending on the outcome. Ferus lives=good thing, Ferus dies=so does CDS. Let's hope he lives.

So last weekend I saw Prince Caspian...SEXY!!!!!!!!

Oh my gosh, Ben Barnes is the most gorgeous guy who actually exists that I have ever seen! (*Ferus and Zekk look dejected* Oh, stop, you two. He exists. That means that even if he wasn't famous and several years older than me, I'd still have no chance with him! *Ferus and Zekk look slightly more reassured.*)
Today I downloaded the Prince Caspian Soundtrack, and It wasn't as good as the first movie's, but I have to say, "the Call" by Regina Spektor is like, my favorite song ever! Oh, and speaking of Ferus, the last Last of the Jedi book, Reckoning is coming out this month! I'm so nervous for the fate of my looooove! And speaking of Zekk and love's of mine who's fate is in questrion, my companion in Zekk-loving, has made an amazing Zekk fansite called Vent Crawler! [link] and I have already contributed to the fanart section! *is so proud of self*
Anyway, back to Caspian, I read the book before I saw the movie like a good little person, but I wasn't too impressed with it. It was really short and not a lot happened. In contrast, the movie kicked shebs!!!!!! w0000000t!!! They only stuck with the book for about the first 1/4 of the movie, but that's OK. And, aside from being the hottest guy on the face of the planet, Ben Barnes did a great job as Caspian. I could go on and on about this movie; I have nothing but good things to say about it, but why should you hear about it from me??? 1. Spring! I wanted to dance the other day when I could walk home in a jacket and tank-top with out freezing! I love Spring. I love rain, and plants and the sense of renewal. It always makes me feel like everything's going to be alright.

2. Band! OMG There's 62 days left till next Marching Band Season starts!

3. Jedi Council. In case you didn't notice, I've been putting a bunch of clay figures up recently. They're all the Jedi Council Members from Star Wars Episodes I, II, and III. There are 20 in all, plus movie-accurate shots of the council from each episode.

4. Random Art stuff! I'm very excited because I have recently learned how to draw accurate profiles, a skill which I had previously lacked. I'm also close to finishing up all my unfinished drawings in my sketch book, and will be putting them up shortly. On top of all of that, I've gotten three commissions in the past two weeks, a record for me! And, no, I'm not currently doing commissions on here. If I did, I'd be beyond swamped. I'm trying to keep my work load to a minimum, so do't even ask. The only exceptions to this are , , , and because they can ask me in person at school, but none of them are going to ask because they can all already do their own stuff. Sorry.

5. Sprites! I'm almost done submitting my Sprites. I have 1, at most 2 pages left to organize and submit.


I love Spring. Everything is going to be alright from here on out...

First off, If you have read 's journal lately, you know we went to New Hampshire about a week ago on a ski trip. Conditions were pretty good, though we did get some freezing rain the one day. MM took a lot of pictures and so did I, but mine aren't really post-worthy. If you want to see some pics from the trip, I'd suggest checking out her page.

Also, in case you haven't noticed, I've developed a sudden obsession with drawing chibis. "But CDS!" you say. "Manga?! It's so unlike you!" What could have possibly spurred this random fascination with chibi drawing? The answer is a Goth Chibi by Check him out! He's so adorable. Doesn't he make you want to draw chibis too? So now I have an enourmous list of chibis I've already drawn and an even larger list of ones I have yet to make/in progress, so you better get used to seeing 'em. Obviously though, I'm not going to stop with my regular style of drawing, I just don't have much right now.

And last but not least, you may have seen me mention my two friends "Mel" and "Sars" on occasion. Well, after much persuasion and problem solving and question answering, both of my two nerdiest, bestest friends ever are Deviants!

So anyways, I've just posted the first of my adorable sprites! I originally got the idea from this person named Jade (www.musogato.com/avatar/sprites.html) I've made hundreds of these little guys since last October, when I first started making them, but for the most part I'm still mostly still organizing them. Since that takes Forever, they won't be as frequent as my other artwork.
